She stood a little shorter than the man that stood next to her, though her own cloak was almost as brilliant as Rakan's. At any rate, Ariella moved towards both of the youngsters - gave them a short hug as she grew close.* "I thought I told you both... grab some food, and go back to your room." *She rubbed Julia's head and tried to unhood Hector...* *And then she saw* Xayah. *Deep sigh, Ariella glared at her for a moment before closing her eyes, trying to... not speak of politics.* "I know what you're probably going to say, based on what he'll tell you... and what your own head says. That doesn't change the fact I still need to ask something of you that I truthfully wish wasn't needed." *There was a moment of pause, Ariella not wishing to do what she had to... but someone walked in, shrouded in shadow and hooded in blood-red cloth... his cloak ragged and tattered, colored in kind.* "I need to speak to you about something... in private." *She glanced down to Julia for a moment... back to Xayah.* "It's... *important*."

Xayah watched silently as the three birds exchanged hugs and small pleasantries. She seemed... sad for some reason. The crimson-feathered rebel wondered why. Her eyes glanced over at the shadowed figure fit a brief moment before her attention returned to the woman. Once the woman mentioned speaking to her in private though her eyes narrowed, suddenly looking much more serious. “Is there something you can’t say out here?” The vastayan asked, one of her eyebrows slightly raised. This was starting to smell a little fishy, though she couldn’t tell why. The kids were cute, sure. But the way the mom was acting was off... “Is something wrong?”

Though he found her demand somewhat amusing considering his real hands were lost a very long time ago. He weighed his options, the solution was still unstable and there was a chance it could explode again and there was no telling who or what may die from the chemicals within it. Trying to kill the woman was about as equally appealing, seeing as doing so would be a pointless loss of life from a simple misunderstanding. Thus the doctor's fingers drummed on the canister once more silently thinking to himself before sighing and fully turning to Xayah, slowly raising his hands. **"What I say is true, why else would I be here in a land where many would hang me from a tree given half the chance?"** He asked. **"The chemicals within these weapons are still volatile and potent as they were in the war, if their container ever were to leak it would poison the land and its people."** He explained **"Sickness, mutation, infertility are just some of the hundreds of possible aliments that could afflict those who come in contact with these vile creations."** He continued. **"I understand that you don't trust me, and likely never will, after all my people and I have done to your home but for the sake of those that still live here. Please let me finish my work or be prepared to live with the consequences of poisoning those you care about."** After his spiel he stood there in silence, he could only imagine what she was thinking now.

She has no idea what this guy had planned... If he was telling the truth, then he was a traitor, to him and his people. If he was lying then... Her eyes turned to slits, arm raised to deliver a killing blow, straight to the neck. There was no change in his demeanor, no tells of him trying to run or attack. After what seemed like forever, the vastayan hissed, like a pressured cannister letting out air. “Fine. Go do whatever the hell you were doing before... but if this blows us all sky high, I’m making damn sure you’re a dead body on the ground next to everyone else...”. And with that she crossed her arms and... stood there. Making it clear that she wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Looking at Xayah, he just listened understanding her goals and her dreams which he would think is rather hard to accomplish yet very nice. How long has it been since he's had his own goals or dreams? Too long... "It's not selfishness when you're fighting for what you believe in and especially for your people's own future. This world currently needs change as people are always judging those by their appearance rather by their own actions. To tell you the truth, I'd rather love to see Ionia back to how it used to be...Filled with flowing free magic and beauty." He told her thinking back on how many times he's seen Vastayans across the world judged. "Vastayans are the kind of people I enjoy more than people since they don't point at me and scream that I'm an offspring of some Blood Moon or something demon related. They're not animals or creatures, they're people who deserve to walk on equal grounds while enjoying the fun life has to offer. A little fox girl I met once dreams of traveling the world tasting the many different spices." Razor explained with a light chuckle as his red eyes looked down on the table. "But I have another question if you don't mind...And it's a promise I have yet to keep to that girl. Noxus holds slavery from what I've seen from my rare visits to the nation, but is it possible for a small town number of Vastayans to be there?" The boy asked the rebel just looking at her.

That’s selfish enough. And I’m not gonna pretend I’m some hero coming in to save my people from the bad guys. I kill people, and those people probably have family and friends. But so do vastayan, and if killing them means that one day more of us can have a less crappy, then I’m not gonna apologize for what I do.” She finished with sentence with a light chest pat of her fist. After listening quietly to the boy’s own plight Xayah simply shrugged. “If there’s any flaw in humans, it’s that they’re afraid of what they don’t know. And different is something they struggle with...” “A problem about a girl huh?” The vastayan mused, a slight hint of amusement in her voice. “As much as I’d like to give you a straight answer. I can’t. The rebellion isn’t mine to control, sure. I can put you in front of them and vouch for you but... they’re the ones that have to decide whether or not they can afford the resources.” She wasn’t a leader after all. She just did what she needed to do to help the rebellion live another day, no matter how impossible the mission. “Buuut... maybe I can guarantee one or two certain vastayans showing up. Y’know. If they’re in the area.” Xayah shrugged innocently. There was a determination in this kid’s eyes, and something that made her want to help him. Of course if anyone was gonna take on an impossible mission, she’d be remiss not to be involved.

A mixture between human and animal, though far more pleasing to the eye then say the chimera Warwick and he felt the burn of curiosity as he wondered how such a creature came to be. By his appearance as a person, his eyes were something of abnormal color not to mention the pupils were narrowed like that of an actual demon from tales parents tell their children at night. He had the appearance of a spawn of a demonic creature but also had the looks of a normal teenage boy who lacked humor. A demon child almost... "When I was of younger age and out in the wilderness alone, I heard tales of your feats and have always wondered out of curiosity. What do you stand for and what do you fight for?" The boy asked just looking at Xayah with curious eyes like that of a child trying to understand something.

The vastayan hastily sheathed her blade, her hands once more on the counter, gently tap tapping the wooden surface. "Kid, I barely know you and you're already asking the hard questions." She let a soft snort of amusement. "i like that." Xayah let a few seconds pass by before she reached for a mug and took a sip. trying to collect her thoughts. She could hear it in his voice. This wasn't some offhand question this kid was curious about, and besides, she was starting the feel the drink... some ranting couldn't hurt... much. "When I was younger my father told me stories about vastayan heroes that traveled the world, doing great deeds and accomplishing great feats. Back then... that was my whole world. Warm and small and... happy. I didn't ask for humans to come into my life. But they did, and now I'm in theirs too. Whether they like it or not." "I stand for my people, and what Ionia used to be, this beautiful and untainted wilderness filled with magic and chaos." "And I fight for what Ionia could me. I fight for the day that humans finally look us in the eyes for what we really are. instead of casting us aside like lesser creatures just because we're different." "It's selfish, I know. The vastayan girl putting her tribe over the 'growth' of humanity, but I know it's the same on the other side. And I'm fine with that. There is no right. But we fight. And we argue. And we kill and murder and die because of what we believe in. And I'm not trying to be right. For the longest time my people have been chucking stones at giants, trying to get their attention. Bringing them to their knees is the only way to finally make them listen."

However the red designs painted into it felt like they had adopted some of the traditional swirls and accents associated with the land. Beautiful on the sun bleached colored bone. It seemed only people who wandered between their view of each other, would break any sense of eye contact shared, and it appeared that her small, paper ally had taken a firm interest in Xayah as well. Callous fingers drag down the length of the glass for just a moment, lifting, and pausing as it reaches a point of just hovering in front of her bottom lip. It turns to Jez prompting her head to tilt slightly sideways. The alcohol would find itself seated again, untouched as before, onto the surface of the table. The petite woman would pull back to reach into the folds of her top to extract what looked to be a simple origami lotus flower. As she seat it over the beverage, a whisper of magic would spread through it like hot coal pressed to paper - scentless, smokeless, and without flame, seeming to eat away at the paper to reveal what looked like a real lotus now sitting atop the rim. Beautiful, and simple at first appearance. However when she swirls it a bit to splash the alcohol against the base, the part that absorbs the liquid would begin to change varying shades of colors adding that much more beauty to it. By the size of the person, it was most likely someone either of small size or an actual kid. Reaching into his cloak then slid a small bag of coins on the table then signaled for some ale that the place offered despite how it would taste. He was just thirsty for something. When his drink arrived and slid over to him by a waitress, he took it then took the hood from his cloak off revealing himself as https://docs.google.com/document/d/1x96M7hXiQq3kjf7xwjem58D-xCz1VcnZYvtCMTr7IKE/edit or the Demon Child to those who have seen his poster. Taking some sips of the beverage, he would put it down on the table as his legs would be on the table in a relaxed manner. Although his figure seemed to lack any defense, under his cloak would lay his right arm still along with an array of weaponry just ready to be thrown out so he wasn't completely defenseless. As he was taking more sips, his eyes would actually see the hooded Xayah and how he knew it was her is from the tales he's heard among his travels across Valoran. The duo Vastayans... Tapping on the table for a few seconds lost in personal thought, he took a deep sigh before pulling his hood back over his face then got up from his table where he would make his way to her table until he just looked at her through his hood with his red eyes gazing at her curiously. His right arm covered in his cloak since his right arm is the arm his blade is strapped to and he didn't really want to give her the wrong idea. Razor HATES fighting Vastayans more than anything else really. He personally enjoys talking with Vastayans since they don't point at him and yell "Demon Child" or something. "You're Xayah right? Honesty, there wasn't much to tell, from the hood he was wearing to the black clothes on his back... Could be an assassin, might be better to take him out now... Glancing back at his sister, he asked,_ "I don't think we can ask the man for a cup of water." "Huh?" _She quickly turned to him,_ "Why?" "Because we can't just go to that crowd! We may get hit with a chair!" "Eh, they're just dancing! I don't think they'll dance with chairs." "They might dance with tables." "Huh, you're right!"

Mine never let me to go to a bar." Xayah quipped, leaning back against her seat. Well... guess she was babysitting now. Things could be worse. Someone could be trying to kill her right now. Taking a quill her hair she idly scratched the surface of the table, making small marks on it's surface. Guess this beats dying and stuff. "Oh that's probably just Rakan." The vastayan replied matter-o-factly. "He has that impression on people." She looked back over at her lover. Seems to be having a good time, and that was enough to make her happy. "So you two. Where do you guys come from?" They were both Lhotlan, she was. Seeing one so far south was... surprising to say the least.

It was _less_ toxic now but only by a miniscule degree, must need a different counter he theorized but as he was reaching for another vial the contents within began to bubble violently. Quickly he poured in another agent before covering it once more with the lid, a muffled explosive bang escape the container and when reopened smoke poured out. The doctor frowned beneath his respirator, still too toxic and apparently much more volatile then he anticipated. He looked around for a moment, no building within sight as far as he could tell and no body seemed to live out here. Maybe he got lucky and nobody heard the sound, with a sigh of relief he got back to work. **"What could we possibly learn from making such weapons?"** He mused to himself, Zaunite scientists rarely reveal their reasons or motives. Some its to prove a point, show of their skill or just to announce to the world that they are willing to use such a weapon. He didn't understand it, though his ethics differed greatly now then they did in the past.

Came a droll voice from somewhere behind him. Amber eyes glittered in the darkness, shifting about from behind some thick foliage before the figure came into view. Xayah had been tracking the sound, her vastayan traits coming in handy as she listened to the strange and unnatural tinkering sounds coming from the forest. She eyed the stranger with a hostile glare. That look. This stench that was in the air. Xayah recalled the rumors floating around of Noxian soldiers using chemical weapons to poison and kill their victims. Was this one of them? And here Rakan thought they could afford a night off... "So." She raised her arm, quills already between her knuckles, "Mind explaining the death machine you have parked out here in the woods?"
: Within the pub an origami crane, paper in appearance, sat idled atop a rafter with invisible eyes searching the crowds. It stood guard like a decoration, but those who could sense it's magic; it's _soul_ might take notice. The magic that gave it life, infusing it with sentience, was of Vastayan origin. It's nature - playful, eager to participate as its attention kept drifting away from its purpose to watch Rakan carrying on, center of attention; life of the party. Beneath where the crane sat, a [figure](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-SKioG8yMn7_Gm-9FRna2W12nnau_RLSpYWyPLDm0kk/edit?usp=sharing) rests with her back to the wall. A skull from an animal hides her upper visage; sun bleached with hints of red markings, and a black hood over that concealing the pale features of the woman beneath. From the base of the hood a long, long braid could be seen partly curled over her shoulder, and snaking its way down her side to fall along her leg before it finally reaches its end just near the floor. The woman's lips thin slightly in thought, parting only to pick up a drink she had swiped from another table earlier, to take a tentative sip. Had anyone paid her any attention, they might notice she wasn't actually _drinking_ it, keeping her focus, and her reflexes sharp should something transpire. But who was she watching? Everyone seemed to be having a good time, yet she doesn't smile even once. Even the origami crane could be spotted at times, bouncing across the beam it perched on as if it understood Rakan's playfulness. Like it wanted to participate somehow. Quietly, however, it would flutter down as the people around the woman became distracted by drinks and a lively party, soon settling on Jezebel's shoulder. A calloused finger rose, drifting across its little paper head with the utmost care for its fragile being. With her arm lifted, it would be easy to spot the feathers tucked into the back of her gauntlet. A slight turn of her head would expose more, weaved into the ends of her hair; a violet-blue fading into a warm pink. They suited her, yet didn't appear to be physically part of her being. Was it another Vastaya? It didn't _quite_ seem to be the case. Should Xayah find herself noticing the woman, she might catch the subtle hint of a shift in the woman's head. A faint hint that Jezebel had noticed her as well, though it's possible she had been observing Xayah all this time. Its nose wasn't aimed at the Vastayan woman, but that didn't hide the fact that the eye sockets and nasal cavity of the skull didn't align right to offer Jez any vision. Yet she appeared to see perfectly fine. [ If you scroll down on her profile, her original artwork can be found where it shows the feathers tucked into the back of her gauntlet. :3 Anyway welcome! Excited to RP with a Xayah. If you have any questions, please let me know. ]

Excited to RP with a Xayah. If you have any questions, please let me know. ] Looking up from her half-empty mug Xayah's eyes once more ran across the room. There was a curious way everyone seemed to blur together in the Vastayan's eyes, like an oil painting that had been touched before it had time to dry. It wasn't that she wasn't paying attention, but rather because honestly, she didn't... care. The only one that shined for her was laughing merrily at the front of the pub. Her handsome ray of sunshine, her shining star, the only one that truly mattered in this crappy messed up world. As he turned to smile at her, she smiled back, basking in the warm light momentarily before returning to her sulking. Some fun night this was turning out to be... People watching was a thing she was starting to get good at, idly glancing from face to face. Boring. Stupid. Sloppy. She paused- Amber eyes set their sights on a table across the bar, a skull mask wearing a quiet figure. Years of instinct knew when she was being watched, and not watched as in ogled watched, but watched with noted interest, watched with intent; their reaction to her spotting them only proved the point. Seems like Rakan's charm didn't work on everyone. The Violet Raven didn't like that one bit, and she made no attempts to hide her piercing stare. Xayah wasn't exactly sure why the figure attracted her attention, but something about them told her they were more dangerous than they seemed. A wolf in drunken sheep's clothing. The stranger was guarded, to say the least, but relaxed enough to ensure nobody noticed them. Was that... feathers, on her arms and behind her ear? Xayah had her own, but they were plucked from the plumage on her own body , each one razor sharp and enhanced with the magical blood coursing through her Vastayan veins. Wherever they got those feathers, a vastayan must've been nearby. There was... of course a quick and bloody solution to all of this, and under usual circumstances she wouldn't have hesitated. The dull night was itching for some action and she was almost willing to amuse herself at the expense of some skull-faced lurker. Almost. She ran a hand through her hair, brushing against one of the sharp quills that adorned her ears. But as much as she'd have liked to skewer that dandy paper bird of theirs, she wasn't gonna ruin a night off, at least with Rakan around. "Baasu lath'el sou'faiesh." She said simply, her voice drowned out by the hubbub around her. But if Jezebel could understand her, it was hard not to read the words that spilled from Xayah's lips. Cold and venomous. I can see you. (Thanks! I feel welcomed! Hopefully I can live up to your expectations and play Xayah to the fullest! And yes! If I have any questions I won't hesitate to ask)

: _After a few minutes would pass, two small figures would suddenly approach Xayah's table. Both were of equal height, even some of their features were shared as well. One of which was a girl, looking at the lady with a smile. Her dark brown hair seemingly reached until her waist, whilst also seemingly wearing a brown cape. Those dark brown feathers on her cape were rather thin, pointy as well. It could be compared to the boy's appearance, who was hiding behind the girl whilst peeking out from the girl's shoulder. Whilst he also had brown hair and a cape, they definitely were a softer shade of brown. Much more pleasant to look at, as his feathers were also rather smooth and round._ "Hi Miss!" _The girl waved at the woman. A huge smile was plastered upon her face. Her ears perked up in excitement, she couldn't even hold her place. This was another person who was like them! Glancing back at the counter, she then looked back at Xayah as she asked,_ "Erm, Miss! Can we sit here, please?" _She held her hands together afterwards, awaiting Xayah's answer._ _Whilst the boy was trembling at first, he seemingly managed to be able to just stand still. This woman wasn't going to hurt them, right? With a gulp, he slowly backed off from hiding behind his sister, moving himself so he can stand by her side._ "Uh... Hi?" _He tapped his fingers._

Something about how unpredictable they were made her feel uneasy, not like regular people. Xayah's eyes instantly flickered across the crowded room, scanning for someone that looked like these guys' parents. "Umm, sure, I guess." Xayah replied, unable to think of any excuse that wouldn't sound outright mean. "Look, kid. Aren't you two a little young to be in here?" Her eyes flickered back to the two children joining her at what once was her solitary table. "Where are your parents?" Once her eyes finally settled on them she finally realized they were Vastayan, Lohtlan, like she was. Mmh... that was definitely not making this easier.

He made peace with his past involvement to a degree but still longed to make up for his crimes. The weapons were no longer explosive but the chemicals within remained serious danger and if they were to ever be released it could poison the land for generations. If he could neutralize them then perhaps it would help put his mind at ease before he returned home and focused on other threats that plagued is thoughts. He began tinkering on one of the canisters that nature had already began to grow over, prying open a rusted panel. The chemical container, fortunately, was still intact and began to neutralize it after opening up cylindrical silver container full of green copper smelling liquid. The problem with such efforts was that many were custom made and a degree of trial and error must be taken to find was is effective. Of course there was also the chance that the wrong combination would prove volatile, though he took great care to avoid making noise those would with a keen ear would likely hear the sound of groaning metal and clinking of vials in the distance.

As Xayah brought the mug to her lips once more it was no surprise that... she didn't hear a thing, besides the rambunctious noises and merriment around her. It didn't help that she was pretty sure that she was halfway to being drunk... Looking down at the bottom of her mug she swirled the ale around. Eyup... definitely halfway there. Letting out a hot breath of air she downed the rest of the drink and slammed the cup back down on the table before standing up. Alright, that was enough socializing for her today, A+ for effort. Giving a wave to Rakan as she passed by the vastayan walked out of the pub and into the crisp night. And once the door was closed the sounds of conversation muffled... Came peace and quiet... Finally. She ran a hand through her scarlet hair, unable to understand how her love cold put up with all that... talking. Especially small talk yap yap yap. Ugh, whatever. As she turned to make her way back to the inn she paused, just briefly hearing... something. Something that didn't quiet cut through the silence, but made the feathers on the back of her next ruffle.
