: Virtually every champion in the game has and is balanced around Flash, a summoner spell so powerful it needs a 5 minute cooldown. Imagine offering an item that offers a second Flash. It would become mandatory, almost whatever its stats, because Flash itself is so strong. Champion ability ranges are balanced around it. Imagine, for example, a Malphite using R and double flashes to almost instantly hard-engage the entire enemy team from 1,800 units away. The extra 800 distance from his flashes would almost equal the ability range. It would give every champion who builds it Flash advantage against every champion who wouldn’t. Flash itself became virtually mandatory because of the advantage that blinking just 400 units offers. A second one on an item would, too.

: Parasite support?
I'm not saying it's a bad concept. But if a parasite support is a league support, it's gotta be different. How about if the support can leap into an ally, shield the champion for 5s, (like Kayn ult once every 2 minutes), and leap out after 3-5 seconds, gaining an iconic ability from the champion and replacing their E ability. So, iconic ability would be 1. Sion Q 2. Twisted Fate W 3. Yasuo W 4. Zac E They all deal the same damage as AoE and the champion could have a "Maiden of the Mist" look but looks like the champion they copied.
: To this day, the best time I had playing League was during the cinderhulk era
They had to change it, else the game would be "solved". ADC jungle, assassin mid, or mage/enchanter support team comps would be weak to the 3 tank meta. (4 With Swain/ Ryze/ Vlad)

: Wait I thought rageblade stack was an "on-attack" effect, so that you still stack it while blinded or through panth passive or through counterstrike for example. Lucian passive applies "on-hit" effects twice. The two are considered separate. Edit: Oh okay I get what you're saying. Yeah if Lucian passive applies on-attack effects for other things it should apply for rageblade. It should be coded the same as Master Yi double strike. I don't even see why is would be overpowered, he sucks right now.
Because Muramana is still an item. As much as I love Muramana and its "Single Spell/Autoattack" effect, Lucian would be way too powerful with a one item spike.

I love this question. Both champions have great kits that can adapt to situations. Heck, I remember playing TF vs Orianna with my friend (who was a great Orianna player). Made for fun times. TF is an assassin mage who specializes in picking a single person. His global ult makes him an amazing solo queue champion. Orianna is a bit more team oriented but her ball bending makes her unpredictable. Plus, have a Malphite/Shen/any initiating champion in your team and you're in for a great time. I'm skewed for TF because I love adapting to different scenarios and having the power to myself. That said, Orianna can be versatile. You could theoretically play Support Orianna with Liandries, Rylai Aery and be able to Support ranged and MELEE champions. I remember the days in season 5 when I played Tryndamere bot with jungle item chilling smite, while paired with my Orianna friend as support. Made for some fun towerdives with Tryn ult + Orianna W E R (at least until release Kalista showed up and made me feel incredibly useless).

: Is Twisted Fate worth maining and fun?
Picking a card was one of the hardest things for me. I got the hang of it and played Twisted Fate for a while in Season 2 - 5. If it becomes too hard, play Taliyah. She has some similar mechanics to Shen because of reliance of positioning to get the most damage. His AP scalings are good, it's just that AP items tend to lack the combination of HP + resists that he'd need in a single item slot.
I found RoA, Zhonyas, and Wits End effective for me in a semi-tanky build w/ the option of IBG if I needed more armor/Cd. Also, I'm a cinderhulk user. I find having around 250AP allows me to be relevant without trading much in durability vs stickyness due to attack speed and IBG. That said, to each their own.

That just makes them more feast or famine than they are . Why would you buy an early item that needs you to have AD first to do damage? And then it becomes more of an ADC item.

: You've been posting these kinds of things for years now (it's hard to believe I actually remember some of the earliest posts) and it proves you have a lot of dedication to the champion and its state of existence. However, I have to level with you on two primary circumstances that I feel Sona shines that overlaps with how other supports do function in the game. First is that she is a poke support. One of the easiest, if not the easiest, in the entire game. This is a good entry level champion for people in that way, and other than that Riot has made her aggression require a dangerously close range. She is punished in the proper matchups, she gets away with being the "true" poke support in others. While other supports can be slapped in regardless of composition, many supports at the end of the day just end up being chosen over the meta and how effectively they are doing their job. If the bot lane was all about poke supports, then Sona would be one of the viable options. The damage creep we saw at the beginning of S8 was proof of that. Why would I be mentioning this when you probably already know it? Because it most definitely is part of her identity rather than the usual utility support you'd see out of an Enchanter. The power budget has most definitely been influenced in Sona from this as a result. As an example, Soraka can certainly bully bot lane when played correctly, but it is much more telegraphed and less punishing to the enemy laners in the long run. Currently I don't believe any Enchanter can go through lane phase without shield/heal + poke combo, as every single one relies on that more than CC for their early laning, even if they do rely on that CC more for ganks/counterganks. Secondly, removal of Sightstone actually helped her. She actually can opt out of the finished sightstone and go for Tear without penalties now. It does not make her a peel support, it does not make her perform any better than her enchanting buddies who can do similar things with this change, but for a gold heavy support, this was huge to making her functional in the midgame, which I felt was ironically one of the worst transitional stages for her in the entire game due to her itemization. 800g just immediately chopped off and transferred to Tear. Anyway, I believe her design has as many weaknesses as it does have strengths. We have seen it before where numbers influence champs like these more often than not and they are classified more as generalists. While they can be balancing issues, I feel like Riot unintentionally criminalized generalists when they spoke of them before. It's not that league shouldn't have generalists, it's that generalists shouldn't be what is the best in every situation, nor should they be extremely common to any one role. This leads me to the most significant point for Sona in particular. She is a generalist *only in the later stages of the game*. Early on, she has a clear identity of a poke support who prioritizes aggression and has an ultimate to better allow for tower dives/ganks/executions. She has a heal, yes, but it is not nearly as impactful as her poking and other offensive features. Even her Staccatto W comes off as a more offensive tool because it can devalue an assassin or whoever gets on your teammates. This combined with Redemption/Locket/Censer is a nightmare to fight against on top of the fact her W shield/heal is involved the rotation. Yes, other supports can run the same build, but they simply get outpaced in extended fights compared to Sona. This is especially rewarding in chaotic settings like what you see in lower elo, but these situations appear less and less as you climb up and Sona's poke range becomes more dangerous to play with. She is simply not a vs. all champion. There are clear areas where she is simply unviable because of the enemy team composition, and she is not the only champion to experience this issue. I imagine that you wanted more utility out of Sona on top of higher viability based on skill, but the fact is that she's been balanced around being a poke support since her creation. Her mini-rework never moved her out of that, nor do I think it ever intended to. If they were to ever rework Sona to be more of a utility support, it'd need to be on the level of a full VGU because of how much depth would be involved, especially with the issue on visuals you keep stating over and over every post. It is simply not going to happen anytime soon when you look at the list of reworks and what Riot finds as an outdated/problematic/unthematic kit. Nami is ironically the closest thing to what Sona's kit would look like if it were more utility oriented, and unironically she does not hyperscale with AP items like a Sona would, so I guess she is the best alternative for you. But I would at least wait until Riot is done with the initial reworks they have planned before making any suggestion toward Sona, because otherwise expecting results will only lead to the same disappointment you've seen thus far.
I love this analysis. Getting sightstone was what delayed champions like Sona/Karma because they rely on poke as opposed to utility. Current supports have a lot of utility or resist built into them that invalidate the poke supports. Now being able to access items like Tear or even items like Sheen or cooldown reduction will increase their impact. Ardent meta is a clear indication of it. The main thing I would change is to add a crowd control effect visual animation when she lands her W autoattack. Unless you play Sona, you wouldn't think that her W has the same effect as exhaust.

Towers are already a punch line of the community, and most teams have no trouble diving them, so making the specifically anti-tower item a realistic build choice would exacerbate that issue. Reverse the effect and make it buff turrets then. It would be a great fit for mages with good waveclear.
They could make it do both depending on what turret it is activated on. Promote: If activated on an allied turret. Wrecker: Disables enemy turret for X seconds.
: ill tell you a secret, but dont tell anyone else ok? i roll smite flash, spellbook... for toplane. out of my 3 top mains, ill always get the green jungle item at around 15 minutes ish, maybe 20. those 2 extra wards, plus my constant buying of control wards, helps me actually carry these games from toplane. if im down to losing my 2 wards, and just not having to buy my control ward, i prefer the 2 wards. the 2 wards, 1 blue trink, and 1 control ward, and I ALONE can make all the vision around baron possible. LETS RUIN MY YOLO QUEUE SWAG THO
Again, how is this a nerf? You get the wards + can actually use the smite on someone. Heck, I was looking at Nunu/Ivern/Cho'gath/Tryndamere using this strategy.
: Whelp... Tracker's Knife and Skirmisher's Sabre are gone on the PBE.
I think it's a great solution. Red smite and Blue smite were pretty much meta dependant. When blue was popular, red was hardly touched. And vice versa. Red was really powerful as a damage reduction buff, but is a form of hidden power. You don't know that you're dealing less damage in a hectic team fight. Also, if you were playing a melee champion with no gap closer and smite a ranged champion that escaped, you just lost the smite investment. Trackers' knife's was subpar. The only strategy was "always smite the jungle creep" but the active ward was its saving grace. But it made the vision game unbalanced for coordinated teams. Now, it's viable for a jungler to contribute by simply dropping a ward, and counterjungling the enemy's team with a ward being a visible reward. Combining them makes things simple while giving more gameplay decisions for all junglers a. Do I smite this monster or save it for a gank? b. Do I ward here or save it for later?
