I sculpted the model to get some detail maps but I ended painting everything over at the end. The detail maps worked as nice guidelines though. It took me a while since I'm bad at doing concepts, had to do and re-do a lot of things. I think it was something like 60-80 hours to make all the process, I procrastinated a lot too. There are a lot of tutorials around to make 3D models. The softwares I used were Zbrush(concept/sculpture), Maya(Uvs/managingmodel), Photoshop(presentation/texture), 3D-Coat(Retopology/HandPaintedTexture) and Substance painter(MapBaking).

I wanted to make variations on the armor to have a feature that depending on the last dragon killed(that she assisted in killing) her armor would change but ran out of time to make them.

: First off, the game isn't 'limited edition'. As with every physical good ever made, there is a limit to how many we will have in stock at any one point in time, but our intent is to keep making production runs for as long as people want to buy them. Argentina isn't a part of our initial launch - since this is a brave new world for us, we wanted to focus on NA and EU initially and learn how to do this better. If the game is popular and we see a demand in Argentina (or any region) we'll look to spin up a version of the game for your region. But our plan is to keep that experience as player-focused as we can - for instance, if we launch in Korea, we'd localize the game for those players. Localizing is no small feat on League and with a product with the amount of text that MvM has, it will take some time to make sure we do it right. One pooly translated rule can really tank the experience, and since you can't hot-fix a board game, we have to be very careful in how we tackle the problem. There are also other issues that we're paranoid about - like distribution and whatnot - and confining our initial release to one or two areas allows us to make sure the experience goes smoothly for other regions. You might not get the initial release. There's a chance that if the game doesn't sell or is poorly received, we won't bring MvM to your region (why keep selling a bad game?), but assuming those things go as planned and we see a demand in your region AND we can get over logistic hurdles for your region, then I would expect a reprint in your region, eventually. Sorry if this isn't the answer you were hoping for, bud. But I hope this at least gives you some context into our approach.
I'll rather have the english version than the localized one in my case, I hate latin american translations. There should be an option for people outside those regions to get their hands on Mechs Vs Minions, at least if you are focusing on NA focus on all the north american countries and don't exclude Mexico. A lot of people are willing to pay extra for the shipping.

: NA has shipped a good number of NA stores to Mexico, but i am afraid boxing up mexico and shipping it is having some logistical issues.
I hope they do ship it :S. I've bought several boardgames via amazon and it's cheaper for me to pay the supping plus import taxes than buying them in local stores, same thing with videogames. The riot products selling here in offical stores are around 25%-35% more expensive than buying them online.

Thanks man, I saw that design while looking for ideas. It's a really cool concept but I wanted to add more egyptian-like stuff and make her bulkier.

I started with him less blocky but ended up going that way. Egyptian architecture is very blocky and shurima is based on it. Rek'sai is supposed to be this gigantic creature too, the only thing I could come up with was with pyramids. The tunnels orginally were a normal tunnel with a temple carved from the rocks but I wasn't liking the result so I went for a traditional pyramid with a temple-like entrance.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure Riot has plans for a guardian of the sands skin for her and hopefully Cho'gath or Kog'maw or Vel'koz will get one to match. Void characters need more love.

: NA Server Roadmap Update: Upcoming NA Server Move
My friends (around 30) and I have been playing league for a lot, I've been playing since Beta. We all live in Mexico and started playing with 70 ping, lately we all have been playing with 130-180, not sure why the ping has been getting higher, maybe our ISP are becoming less capable of providing good service. With this change we basicly won't be able to play on our accounts and I won't be able to play with my friends on the states. The fun part is that we have higher pings in LAN which is a server we won't change. Is this server change also a kind of discrimination against players in mexico? We are part of North America too.
: Champion Reveal: Tahm Kench, the River King
I thought this guy was going to interact with summoner's rift river somehow, like eat them and drag them along the river. We need a champion that's good in a zone of the game or can create a temporary zone where he/she is very powerful. Similar to trundle's Frozen domain but semi permament.
: I like a veigar stun that pulls champions to the center. But the delay is the problem. He has no line of defense and also no offense. With the delay, the champions that can jump will jump before the delay finishes. The counterplay is to just walk out. And Riot has been clear that they want the delay to exist.
That's why I thought making it a wall/cage when it is casted could avoid enemies walking away and still make them able to dodge skills if they reposition correctly inside the cage.
: only problem is that your idea for a new W is basically just pressing E+W, not very interesting.
It also pushes characters to the sides. But I agree it isn't that interesting, just a quality of life improvement for Poppy. I wonder what changed riot is planning for her.

I'm glad you like the Veigar idea. I admit I'm not a very good poppy player and the one thing I struggle the most is positioning myself to slam people to the wall. I thought that change could help fix that issue as well as give her a different type of mobility. Movement speed is good but with so many mobile champions now I found it very hard to stay close to someone lategame and also positioning myself in a teamfight to slam someone.
