: It still doesn't change the fact that it served only as a late game replacement for boots for ADCs because realistically no champion would prioritize the combination of AD, AS, MS, and tenacity. Plus Nexus Blitz had {{item:4403}} which is a joke item that costs triple of what Trinity Force costs.

I like Critical Strike/ATK SPD items as substitutes for boots nowadays, considering I usually have trinity force by that point.

: It was actually removed years ago because it was useless. No one was buying it because after Trinity had its crit changed to more AS, it became a better option in every single scenario.

True, but now Zephyr has more Attack Damage (albeit less Attack Speed), so perhaps it could be useful again. After all, Riot brought it into Nexus Blitz, which is something to show for.

: ap shyv
I love playing AP Shyvana {{champion:102}}, that's my highest Mastery Champion at the moment. I wonder if she'll ever get the AP scaling on her Burnout back, perhaps at lower ratios. That being said, I can empathize with your frustrations. Playing her is actually "not healthy" sometimes, too, because you can still lose the game.

: I dunno if you're mistaken but, the projectile in Human form doesn't explode at the end, so it doesn't matter whether you throw it 5 feet, or to New York City, it's gonna hit whatever it passes through, nothing more, nothing less.

You're right, and that is nominal because there is no reason for non-Dragon Form Shyvana to be able to cast flame breath at her location; it would not work because the projectile does not explode, and therefore would have nowhere to go. I was only trying to explain how _Dragon Form_ Shyvana's Flame Breath currently works.

: Why is riot putting unranked players in high silver games?

Using this community-trusted, third-party resource, one can see that Silver Ranks actually have the highest percentage of players in them, with Silver II being the highest. [Rank distribution - League of Legends](https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/rank-distribution) One could say Silver II is "High Silver" because it is within the top half of the Silver Rank bracket. Therefore, unranked players are being put with the majority.
: Adding a third path, while it seems like fun, would cause a massive amount of gameplay imbalances, even more than what we already have. It’s not a BAD bad idea, it would add some unique flavor for sure, I just don’t think it’s something Riot wants to touch right now. The potential for certain combinations to achieve sheer brokenness is high and would just be another mountain to overcome as far as balance is concerned.. {{sticker:sg-lulu}}

The idea is food for the fire, and if the attempt resulted in too much time being taken away from other studies, it could prove not to be worthwhile.

: > What about implementing a new idea into the LoL Boards, would it go in "Discuss the Boards" or "Concepts & Creations?" Pretty much anything relating to the Boards themselves (such as complaints, ideas, or the like) should go into Discuss the Boards. Concepts & Creations is limited to lore, art, and character creation related topics for the live game. So if you have a suggestion for the Boards, pop it into Discuss the Boards and if you have an idea for a new champion, slap that into Concepts & Creations. I'm pretty sure everything you need can be solved by asking on the Boards themselves, but if you have any special situations [you can always check out our Discord server.](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/community-moderation/7rtKBZLi-boards-moderation-discord-verification) Just be aware, some channels in that server can be... let's say "less desirable" :^)

: Generally, if you have an idea for something like a new champion, item, or map addition/gamemode, it should go in Concepts & Creations. If you're discussing the _balancing_ of certain items, champions, or aspects of League that are currently in the live game, it should go in Gameplay. example: "New Item Concept - Hextech Helmet" should go in Concepts & Creations whereas something like "Luden's Echo isn't healthy - here's why:" should go in Gameplay.

: Ashe the Frost Archer Ability Power Buff
I'm looking back at this post and I put in some little-too-high Ability Power ratios for the idea! XP
: So -- and this may sound blunt -- *why?* With the exception of the percentile health on the E, all this does is give her two builds that both use the same spells in the same way to deal damage. One or the other will be dominant and thus become the version of Ashe that gets played -- it's not like Kai'Sa, who is specifically designed to have this sort of flexibility -- and Kai'Sa *still* suffers from having one style that's almost exclusively played unless you're feeling a bit gimmicky. Given that you miss out on movement speed, life steal, and -- yes -- consistency of damage output (due to relying more on spells that can miss and a slower attack rate), I can't see this doing anything but putting in a gimmicky off-build that plays in virtually the same way just with worse damage. There are advantages to focused build paths, and in this case I don't think Ashe's kit has the diversity of gameplay needed to make an alternative magic-damage-centric playstyle interesting enough to merit supporting in this fashion.

You make some good points and ask some good questions. It's true that it's near impossible to have a Champion deal equal amounts of DPS based on how they build, such as Attack Damage vs Ability Power vs Hybrid, but it could be possible to get them very close. When taking into consideration the items that an AD or AP champion would purchase, it changes the type of damage between magic, physical and hybrid, but also changes the style of damage output between burst and sustained. For instance, Sustained critical strikes vs sustained Nashor's Tooth, burst Lich Bane vs semi-burst/sustained Trinity Force, burst/sustain Statikk Shiv vs burst Luden's Echo, and Blade of the Ruined King vs Hextech Gunblade. Because a lot of attack speed items benefit from movement speed bonuses, it's possible that Ashe would lose some movement speed, but this could be offset with Ability Power items that also have movement speed bonuses. Using a different damage output/style would be good for counterpicking enemy teams or picking based on the friendly team. Life steal could be substituted for the heal from Hextech Gunblade's. I'll admit that this AP build would be more gimmicky, but it has potential. Like Kai'Sa, when a more gimmicky build is played properly, it can be devastating to the enemy team. What would really do AP Ashe a solid with these possible buffs would be her ultimate, which shouldn't be buffed ever (I think). Ashe AP playstyle would be interesting if the new magic damage were to have spell effect graphics, like Shyvana's percent max HP damage on hit.
