: That's fair, although I like to think most people try to win in normals too. Granted there isn't as much pressure to win compared to ranked. xD I guess what I'm saying is if the jungler happens to forget smite, work with them as much as possible so they don't fall behind. Such as the game you described, maybe you could have helped them clear their camps, you'd be missing out on some gold but if you can get your jungler back to a decent spot they'll be able to help the whole team more, smite or not.

The way our game went was we were actually stomping laning phase decently, our ez was like 7/2 and I was playing as blitz support, we were ahead in laning but the way it played out was they got 3 drags and baron and we couldn't do anything about it and lost... long story short lol It's not the jungler's playing at all that was a problem it's just without smite they have access to the only other real objective in league besides turrets... aka global buffs

: I had a game where I forgot smite as the jungler, it was a normal draft not ranked, but my top laner was nice enough to let me duo with them after I died to my red buff. xD We murdered top lane and took turns farming the top jungle once we hit level 4 or so. Since there was a fair amount of pressure between the two of us, the enemy jungler was forced to stay top side most of the time, which freed up mid and bot to push. Thanks to that top teammate's willingness to share lane and forgive my mistake we were able to make the best out of an unfavorable situation.

You're also playing normals and in normals i don't care if people play anything lol... But in ranked where everyone's trying to win having a jungle without smite is so much more inportant

: Tier one masteries aren't made to make big impacts on the game but rather make small adjustments. People building defenses might get a few extra MR or armor out of the Unyielding mastery but other champions would obviously benefit from having that small amount of extra sustain. It doesn't seem like much but it still adds up in the long run. Also things like this help to negate DoT damage especially DFT so it's not completely useless.

Well I just realized the max i get on most champs is maybe 5 extra mr and armour late game from the other mastery so maybe you're right, It still seems like not that much at all though comparing each other side by side

Season 6 earlier on was when games ended very early, even now it's still ending early, vayne has huge outplay potential on anyone but she's also very short range. Vayne should be hitting like 30 minutes in before her winrates start to rise.

: Malefic Visions into Void Swarm is probably the best start for laning hands down. Where you go from their is kinda up to you. Maxing Malefic Visions first helps with your consistent DPS in lane and helps shove the lane hard to give you the upper hand and keeps you filled to the brim with mana. His main source of damage has become his Malefic Visions **_AND_** Void Swarm. Though his Nether Grasp in a 1v1 can still CHUNK someone since if it goes for the full duration, it can deal a whopping 25 / 35 / 45% (+ 7.5% per 100 AP) of the target's maximum health in magic damage. Adding onto that his Malefic Visions gets refreshed if the target of it is hit with either Call of the Void or Nether Grasp. The Void Swarm gets bonus move speed towards targets affected by Malefic Visions and Nether Grasp as well so they can maul the target sooner, though they prioritize targets of Nether Grasp over Malefic Visions. His 1v1s barely changed, though now you wait for you opponent to be afflicted with Malefic Visions and have a decently sized Void Swarm to charge them, silence them with Call of the Void then (if need be) {{summoner:4}} ult so they have NO chance of getting away from you and your combo. Adding in a nice {{summoner:14}} helps as well as long as you are in range for it so you don't cancel your ult. Ignite is my preferred secondary summoner spell, this may change though but for now I still like it for the kill pressure. His team fighting didn't really change imo. Find a pick and hold them down with your ult for you team to make short work of them. If you targeted their main/only CC user it lets your team be unhindered to delete carries while you get to laugh at the poor sap. Or (hopefully) delete the target if its a very squishy champion (good targets would be the enemy marksman or mid laner). His sustained damage though can be REALLY devastating if you combine it with Deathfire Touch since with Call of the Void alone you can slap the whole team with a Silence that lasts at max rank 1.75 seconds (its still a long time in a teamfight if you ask me) AND start some DoT on them with just one spell that doesn't require them to hold still (that was the most annoying part of Null Zone honestly).

They deal damage like this: Physical Damage: 30 / 32.5 / 35 / 37.5 / 40% AD (yes this is TOTAL AD) Bonus Magic Damage: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+ 10% AP) Though that damage isn't the same when its on monsters from the Jungle which gets cut severely. But when you have them swarming its gets crazy how fast they lay down the damage. And yes it does have an ABSURDLY long cooldown: COOLDOWN: 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16

I will give you some advice that I have learned from my own playing as him and experimenting with him. First off: Start with Malefic Visions, this will give you a good way to keep your mana up for a LONG time if you are able to control the minion wave and get it to bounce often. Get Void Swarm second because this will help you push that wave under the other laners tower and make CSing almost a living hell for them. This is where his Champion.gg mid lane and I somewhat disagree, but I can see why putting another point in Malefic Visions is good. I like getting Call of the Void 3rd since I can use it to refresh my Malefic Visions if it bounces onto my opponent and make it last as long as it possibly can. Me personally these are some items I really enjoy on him: {{item:3116}} {{item:3146}} {{item:3071}} {{item:3165}} (Morello's and Rylai's are already really good on him and essentially core on him) I will go into detail if you would like as to why I include Cleaver and Gunblade. I hope this is a helpful good start.
I agree with everything you said and personally I feel like maxing eqw is most effective for lane right? I was hoping you could give me some info on how malz plays in fights/1v1 situations though, pre rework you could just mash keyboard into ult and win a 1v1 but now it seems like all his ability damage isn't as strong anymore. In team fights are you meant to just kite now and try to get a pick off with ult, and what is your main damage source at this point?

Because gnar is super strong in mega form but his mini form could use some work, in terms of dueling gnar basically loses in mini to any bruiser with a gap closer (kites so well against people like darius though).
