Believe me when I say I agree but as a whole, the problem is mainly just this set... 4 cost olaf is stronger than the 5's like taric?? nami?? hell even master yi isn't as good as olaf... They need to balance the numbers imo. Even ashe is pretty sub par compared to olaf, they need to round out the units, add a few more and possibly bring olaf to 5 cost while bringing taric/nami down to 4.
: olaf srsly have no counter play against.

: Why Runes Reforged should be reverted to the Season 1-4 Runes+Masteries system
Agreed 100%, I've said it a ton of times but yeah there were soo many options to choose from in aram, health regen, crit runes, armor pen, scaling health, gold per ten... etc etc, Yeah I miss diversity and I had atleast 3 different pages i'd pick from when playing fiddle... literally, my win rate in aram was like 60-65% before runes reforged hit.
: infernos only work if they are strong otherwise their quirk doesnt deal any damage.
I had 4 3 star infernos, diana/varus/kindred/zyra and zyra had rabadons + jeweled gauntlet... varus has hurricane, diana even had 1-2 items and kindred had 3 full items... I still only got 3rd... RIP
: My opinion that games with meta tend to become boring, repetitive and unbalanced. LoL is not far away and it had entire seasons where you saw at pro levels same bans, same picks, same win rates for same champs/ comps. When you get to this point of building up a meta, it means you need to rework. Going back to LoL example: when you build a game with 100+ champs, but only a handful is quickly becoming viable and the rest 100 - handful never get to be played again, then you can see how detrimental meta really is. Meta is the death of any entertainment activity. More example? Back when Chelsea FC was a thing a certain folk turned it and its strategy into meta. Suddenly, you knew the result of a soccer game before it started. So if you want to see the same shit every time, play a meta- based game and encourage the meta, so devs can sit in their offices smoking pot instead of balancing shit out. P.S.: If they'd work for me and build this meta shit, they'd be fired the next minute. Cheers! :)
I agree man, im always building off meta builds in aram or trying to think outside the box in TFT but it just doesn't pan out like it used too... It used to be fun turning aatrox into a sorcerer or varus into a sorc, or finding clever ways to use graves spread shot mechanic... Now there are just clear better choices especially items, I stacked up my zyra last night with items but 90% of the matches she only ever got ONE cast off... Meanwhile olaf just wrecking through my whole team... I even had 4 3 star inferno's, RIP..... The meta this set is worse then ever, they need to tweak the numbers because there are juts clear bad choices now.
: TFT sucks now
While I agree there seems to be alot of uselessness all around, what really irks me is theres always 2-3 people going straight for olaf and stacking items on him. Which is fine, im not jealous IDC im not even going for him usually because I prefer to make less popular things work or think outside the box. It's just frustrating to see the same kind of teams win and now tibbers is still OP as he is.
: The problem is ARAM accounts, it's always been ARAM accounts. If riot really wanted to fix ARAM they'd force everyone to pull from the pool of EVERY CHAMPION, that would make the mode what it was suppose to be, but we all know that's not happening.
nonono, it has nothing to do with aram accounts, the RNG factor or 'all random' is a variable that multiples itself by the factor of time, day/hour/seconds... you literally just have days where there is just a higher probability to roll lux or cait, ashe, etc... The worst offender to aram is the bench, people will just avoid playing things that are sub par if they can.
: > [{quoted}](name=ThunderCraft,realm=NA,application-id=RaE1aOE7,discussion-id=aKMHfvrO,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2019-11-22T05:59:37.571+0000) > > TFT Rise of the Elements is not addictive like set 1 period Its not as new (even tho everything is changed from season 1) so it doesnt have that wow factor.
While some of what you are saying is true there are just less comps that work and less interesting interaction's with items. Like before I was always theory crafting, what if I turn brand into a sorcerer so he gets 2x double mana on attack passives, or what if I turn aatrox into a sorc and get 6-9 bonus so his spell will one shot, or turning varus into sorc... or demon voli bear, Or putting hurricane on vayne and turning her into a blademaster ( you can still do this technically )... Like the only thing I find myself theory crafting is maybe mage annie and seeing if double tibbers is good or 6 seraphs on viegar to see him spam his ult (hes got 60 total mana so 60 mana after spell cast = infnite ult)... There just doesn't seem to be as many reasons to use spatula to convert people into other classes especially because you can't change the elements. Okay I'll give you this one, I have tried several times to get electric to work by stacking crit but I NEVER GET ELECTRIC LUX... so my 4p bonus always gets cut. I don't know, just seems like too many dead ends and not enough theory crafting. PS my wife agrees, she thinks this set is not as fun either and because of some of the reasons I mentioned above. Plus the 6 bonuses are really weak for the most part now and some of them are gated behind the RNG factor of IF lux will roll the proper element. It was a challenge to get 9 blademasters/9yordles/9 sorcs before, it was DOABLE, now the 9 bonuses don't exist and mostly the 6p class bonuses aren't worth it except for a few exceptions. I think they just put too many eggs in one basket and now the focus is champions with the right items. or sneaking in another 2p/3p bonus instead of focusing on the bigger bonus for your win condition....
: TFT Rise of the Elements Suggestions & Complaints
20 stack cho in aram?? Lol, most stacks ive gotten is 18 and I had almost 8000 life... Tibbers doesn't have 8000 life man but I suppose the analogy still works in comparison to the other units health pools. EDIT: I do agree though, tibbers is OP and set 2 so far hasn't been nearly as fun because of how unbalanced it is... There are just plain bad team comps atm and i've gotten beaten plenty of times with little synergy, seems like the 6-9 bonuses aren't worth it anymore compared to getting 3-5 3 trigger bonuses.
: Blink And You'll Miss It: Elder Drake Buff is Toxic To Gameplay
Wow glad this trash isn't aram... Still wondering when the other shoe's gonna drop for aram though, they'll do something this season like mess up give akali "10% more dmg" or some trash making it 28%...
NY64 (NA)
: Wow TFT got improved so much.
I disagree, set 2 is horribly unbalanced and not fun at all. I didn't downvote you though, we can agree to disagree. There are somethings I like about it but there just doesn't seem to be as many balanced ways to win. I won enough in set 1 to know that draven/cho/jinx weren't auto win. Plenty of times turning aatrox into a sorcerer and having the max bonus was OP or getting 9 yordles.. Or 9 blademasters, all tough to do but was very rewarding. Now I see pretty much the same type of comps win and furthermore its never about getting a 6-9 bonus anymore, It's not even reliable because of how random lux's affinity is.
Bultz (NA)
: I'm not playing another game of TFT until it's actually balanced
Yeah I agree, this has happend too many several times and im kind of just like shocked at how someone with 2 less champions, less 3 stars, practically no synergies beats me... Definitely missing set 1 right about now.
: Please no. When bans were temporarily enabled in ARAM back in April, the champ select dodges were driving me nuts. People kept dodging because they saw that champs that they weren't even guaranteed to get were banned. 15 minutes to get through a single champ select phase was not fun.
Agreed, I wasted 5 minutes one day between the 25 second ban timer and then people waiting the 55 seconds till they dodge... was just insane, ppl wanna blame aram accounts for OP teams or seeing veigar 4 games in a row, its just how the RNG model multiplies against the time so certain days/weeks you'll just have a higher chance to roll certain champions... EDIT: The bench is the BIGGER offender IMO...
: Bring back bans AND unlock all champs so aram accounts, or those with nothing but champs that stop in aram as a coincidence, can't ban out their bad champs and further restrict their pools to supreme pickings
quit blaming aram accounts, some days ppl just have a higher chance to roll certain champions its literally how the random function works in almost all computer programming RNG models. One day I played against ashe AND sylas THREE games in a row but that was like a week ago and I havent seen either champion in aram since. ITS NOT ARAM ACCOUNTS ITS LITERALLY JUST HOW -RNG WORKS, it takes .time and multiplies it by a number giving you the result which is exactly why some days/weeks certain champions have a significantly higher chance to be rolled ffs.
: "restricting playstyles" I see all of the same champions every game, and everyone turtles cause they're too bad to engage.
Yeah or just waits to ks while they farm... Well timed engage break the molds and throw team comps off, won a few games recently just because we surprised engaged and it through their ap malphite off.

And they are subsequently useless because they fall apart in an instant with no defenses.
Won't really matter in aram, if the Malphite can turn it into a 3v5 by deleting 2 squishies then mission accomplished and his team will likely still win the battle.
: Burst builds are becoming the norm, and it sucks.
Yeah agreed, I miss old runes 100%... & yeah I never see malphites go anything but pure AP in aram now, its been that way for a long time too.
: A comment about Lux
I had a lvl 2 lux with 3 guinsoos rageblade and WOW she ulted like 5-6 times each match... I was sitting at 1 hp too and ended up winning against someone who had like 85+ hp before it became a 1v1
: What do you guys miss most from league?
Old runes/masteries... 100%, miss my crit dmg runes, health regen, max armor pen, spell vamp, gold per ten... Really spiced up my aram games.
: Please update the game to allow us to Alt-Tab without all the lag
Just go to video and switch to windowed mode gg... I switch back and forth as I play aram/tft... I like to watch videos on my second monitor while I play TFT and having it in windowed mode solves everything.
: I think this a big problem a lot of major games have. The company's are so big they lose all their agility in terms of being able to pivot and change the game. And then the boards and reddit get so oversaturated with young /casual players that they drown out all the other voices. So Riot creates LOL, they have some good feedback in a healthy environment. But then their audience grows super fast and it becomes impossible to please everyone. What they do notice, though, is that the majority of complaints online are posts about how the game's are too long, how low kill games are important, how they want more fighting and they want it earlier on, how tanks and ADC are better than burst damage...etc,etc. So then they decide to mak the game more focused on individual play, fighting, and up front damage. And they continue to push and push and push in that direction, until it breaks. Until it becomes so one-dimensional that all the complaints online start to outcry about how the over-saturation of burst damage and mobility is ruining the game and tanks feel unplayable. THEN they will look at dialing back a little bit. Blizzard did the same thing with WOW retail. They heard the cries for accessibility, then pushed and pushed and pushed until it broke the game so bad it nearly killed it. THEN they hard pivoted. It's the way of the world when corporate penny pinchers have 99% of the power and the creative minds have 1%. You have some good points but what broke wow for me is the devs refusal to add pvp vendors back and their constant need to "reinvent the wheel" I mean say what you will about WoD, it was the last good xpac for pvp... MoP was better of course but the legion templates sucked and the removal of pvp vendors honor/conquest points to buy gear was a step in the wrong direction. There's literally no sense of pvp progression, I would have 3-4 characters that I literally played/geared up through pvp only, I found ways to be relevant ( clever blood lusts or caps/spinning flags ) as a fresh max level. Now I just to step in the ring I need all this azerite power/farm the appropriate traits on gear and get those new relics ( can't remember the name cause I quit playing but the new spells they added for azerite necklaces). I mean legitimately, you can't really just hit max level and only pvp now but then again I guess pvp is just a small % of the community.
: Revert Asol
Yyeahhh revert asol, while you're at it could you revert sion/kayle/aatrox/xin zhao/swain/eve/ give me back old ezreal model new one is trash especially pulsefire/taric/urgot I do miss old poppy but we'll leave her off the list Yeah that about does it, I miss playing ALL of those old kits (aram main with all champs so yeah played all of them fairly often) their new kits mostly don't feel the same and they might has well just released a new champion and dumpstered the other ones... I feel your pain ASOL mains, maybe they'll listen... I've come to the conclusion that riot reworks champions in an effort to accomplish "creation out of destruction" Meaning that after awhile people have made their mind up they either love/hate/indifferent about a champion therefore less people buy skins for the champion... If they destroy that champion and out of the ashes something new, a new set of players will enjoy that play-style therefore buy skins etc etc etc... R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. :(

: So what's the point of the Yordle buff?
If you get the 9 yordle buff its worth it, practically unkillable... However if you think about it, its pretty hard to do... I did it twice on Sunday though you just have to be very specific about your approach. You need 3 saptulas minimum and it works better if you can get a yordle mitten from the third or fifth carousel round. One game I got really lucky and got 2 mittens but got a force of nature so I was able to have all 9 yordles plus a lvl 2 jinx/lvl2 kaisai out. Really though, I got 9 yordles once with 1 hp left and beat the guy that had 70 hp twice and he just swapped in two more wild for the 4p bonus and I was toast, so yeah its easily counter-able.

: Can you guys add an HP Tear Upgrade?
This sounds amazing... Another on use effect that I think woulda be really cool would be something like, 2 min cd on use target ally and for the next 4 seconds you absorb 30% of incoming damage to your mana or until your mana is drained... I think because of how quickly your mana could drain in this scenario it wouldn't really be broken, if you drained all your mana then you are walking away with zero mana and won't offer any utility right so its a huge sacrifice to possibly turn the tide of the fight.
Jaspers (EUW)
: I've played Vel'koz 4 times in aram in the last 2 months, 2 very recently and I felt weak. I've played 45% win rate Poppy 10+ times. I'm having more fun as Poppy, barreling in like an numpty, stunning someone on a wall, letting my team deal the damage than standing 2 screens away spamming abilities. I'd rather play Braum, Trundle, Tahm and Skarner (you seen his circles? They cover most the map, it's great) over any assassin. I actually think Bench is one of the reasons ARAM is a little broken at the moment, it allows for high poke/damage team comps as people can choose from rejected champs forming the correct set of OP champs. I personally want the bench removed.
Agreed, op teams got way worse because of it... It used to be fighting a team with 8-9 cc was rare but I fought a team that collectively had 12 cc's and I didn't even think it was possible, like I couldn't move in team fights and was pretty much just target practice.... Not to mention all the other annoying poke champions that literally no one will pass on if they are on the bench like veigar/lux etc

: Micro-balancing ARAM has unintended consequences and should be stopped
Yeah any blanket nerfs/buffs are inherently bad imo... The only decent addition was the -50% damage nerf if they are farther then 1000 yards. Ziggs isn't even fun to play feels like im tossing paper airplanes at people, if I don't build ludens echo and use arcane comet keystone it literally feels like death by a thousand cuts. I even have to build liandries on him now just to make up for the nerf and squeeze in extra damage. Maybe ziggs deserved the nerf but the point still stands, the blank nerfs/buffs are ruining aram (most of em atleast).

: ARURF sucks sure but it's better than regular URF. At least with AR the game doesn't devolved into picking the same 10 champs every game.
Agreed, who the bleep wants to see the same boring champs every single game... I like playing off meta, or trying something weird but its hella boring to play those same champions over and over, they just wanna win and treat it like its ranked... EDIT: the only compromise that I could see still being fun with regular urf if literally every game, like 40%-50% of the roster got RANDOMLY BANNED. LOL...

: You know what? League just isn’t fun anymore.
I agree, one shot fiesta isn't fun and it's just not what league was when I started... I know there are arguments on both sides about the older runes/masteries but it was also a time before one shot fiesta and you could accent your runes to cater towards any type of playstyle in aram... I remember one time we had no tank and I was corki, so I just said f it and went like 13 health regen with 8 spell pen runes... Maxed my E and anytime they engaged I would just make sure their whole team got sprayed down so they would lose armor/magic resist, we ended up winning, I was positive with like 2nd top damage... I only had to build a guardians horn or whatever it was back then... ahh the good ole days, I know people say there was just "one optimal build" but it really depends on what ability you want to max and the playstyle behind it... Now days its like there still is a few build variants for different champions but they either lack decent power spikes or they start to fall off hard... I wouldn't dare try to build corki like that now, i'd get blown up sub 2 seconds and offer little to no help in the process.

: Ever since patch 9.18 was live, the game has lost its fun
I agree, its lost its spark... too many champs and I won't even go for any tier 1 3 stars because its pretty much impossible if you aren't hyper rolling... The thing that annoys me the most though is just shapeshifters, I see 2-3 people go for it every game and if im working on economy I just lose my power spike it seems like. EDIT: Was hoping they'd keep TFT more balanced but its just as bad as the SR meta, you just have things that are good and beat out the slow growing comps like 6 sorcs with varus/aatrox as a sorc, it just feels stale now (maybe because its harder to get your ideal composition with the added units I dunno) ...
: Stop buffing champions in ARAM
I agree about the +% buffs not being needed but ill point out I think ziggs is garbage tier... he has to deal with 2 nerfs, the 1000 range -50% and what like 15% on top of that?? I won't even play him, used to get excited a bit when I rolled him. Now I don't even like having him on my team, if hes not building ludens+liandris+rabadons with arcane comet keystone and actually USING his passive to push towers when he can get in cheeky autos then hes just a handicap... EDIT: Plus it's too much for them to juggle, lets be honest, as quickly as they buff/nerf champions in regards to summoners rift... one small buff to rengars numbers or items hes gonna be even more godlike then he was with his aram buffs... I hadn't played rengar in like 2 years, always insta rerolled and I played him like 2 weeks ago and just popped off hard, like 18 kills 8 deaths... Literally every rengar I see now goes positive easily unless they are just to skiddish to all in...

: Rework the "Chance to Activate/Crit"
True chaos is everything that could possibly happen, every variation happening simultaneously in some anti-realm... meaning "to bring order to chaos" is observing just one absolute timeline, just one instance of it... you comparing a 1 out of 5 chance for something to occur versus every possible scenario is just crazy... Sure it'd be nice if randomly the cursed blade malfunctioned and had a 1 out of 20 chance to proc instead but isn't the number one complaint about TFT is the RNG?? not to mention you can counter build it with hextech... If anything they just need to rework an item to be something more similar to banshees, blocking procs/spells every 8 seconds or just stablize the proc effects to something similar to static shivs effect, every 3-8 autos this occurs. Realistically, ranged champions will get like what 10 autos off easily?? a last man standing draven probably more like 15-18 and thats with no attack speed modifiers. The idea that a cursed blade wouldn't proc during 10-15 autos is just absurd with their current formula.
: when ARAM buffs/nerfs don't make any sense
Ya, ziggs is dumpstered does garbage damage but meanwhile the rengar/akali buff... I never see them go negative, I hadn't even played rengar in like 2 years and I went like 15-8 with him EASILY... same thing with akali, I built like 2 tanky items and still was like 17-7... Sona still feels ALRIGHT to play because her damage is never mitigated by the -50% dmg from 1000 range but ziggs is just AWFUL and if people play him without using his passive on towers then its pretty much a free loss.
: The amount of Shyvana in every game is becoming super boring.
whats boring is everyone going shapeshifters now, I won't even que up anymore because of it... I'm sure I could counter it if I actually tried but it just ruins the fun of going in the game with some unique build idea and having to fight 5k hp jayces etc because 2-3 of your enemies went full shapeshifters.
: Champs feel unskilled now
I completely agree about the dashes... Seems like every other new champion or rework they are adding more and more dashes... Meanwhile, back when dashes were rare, you still have kits LIKE kog/xerath who are essentially just walking artillery and lack the tools to deal with ekko type engages leading to one shots... Think about all the champs with dashes now and even ones that have been reworked to have a dash like urgot/galio... Its just maddening to think about, I think it really started to go down hill after lucian but it just slowly crept up until now... I just counted the number of dashes in the champions and its like 70+ something champions that have a dash or dash like mechanic to engage.... & thats not counting ziggs/thresh/sion/kench/tali/nunu because well ziggs satchel is garbage use of mobility and can't be used to engage but the rest of those people have a way to engage their target.. Thats like half the roster with some sort of dash/heavy engage and some of these champions have been HEAVILY nerfed because they have over loaded kits and riot can't tune their numbers to match mobility... Pretty sure like 3-4 years ago there were more tradeoffs being made and the roster was only like 30-40% capable of dashing but im at work so I won't have the time to dig up any other numbers.

I hated and still hate alot of the new reworks (Kayle, sion, yorick, galio, aatrox, morde) so I feel your pain.... I mean in the case of sion/galio, I don't mind playing them but hes just not even close to the same champion and I miss their old kits.... Atleast you get to keep a huge portion of his kit, on a side note I think he looks more fun an engaging to me but I play ARAM only and in this burst meta he just didn't offer much. He would get dog piled and killed quickly unless you had 30 ping and can ult a rengar mid leap or some ridiculous reaction speed, that or he'd need some huge peel/turtle team mates like trundle. EDIT: I've just accepted the fact that they will rework champions just to stir the pot, people who liked em will hate em and vice versa, inevitably getting people to buy new skins... as they say, destruction is a form of creation.
: Kind of bitter over the Project event (feel free to bully me)
lol?? You bought the 100 prestige tokens AND the irelia prestige skin?? well that's your problem right there, you spread yourself to thin... If you wanted more you shoulda spent more $$ on orbs... Pretty sure that option is just there incase you don't like the prestige irelia skin and if you already had all 4 of those prestige chromas from prior events then you essentially paid 2k tokens for that gold project icon and the possibility to buy something later with the tokens... the WHOLE IDEA of these events is to get you to spend money. Hell even the pass alone will just barely get you enough tokens to buy one of the prestige (doing quests and dailies), literally mathematically its been that way for the past couple of pass events, by doubling down on both 2k+ rewards you REALLY spread yourself thin and should have played more games or bought more orbs... Sure i'm bitter myself but for a different reason, I had a blast playing the PVE odyessy/star guardian events in the past and we don't even get those anymore because they don't generate enough $$.
: My ability to transition is completely gone
I think theres an easy way to fix this problem... they should just reduce the amount of exp you get per level so if you want to hang around level 3-5 longer to get those 3 star lvl 1-2's then just dont put any points in exp, granted it would pretty much screw over anyone who wasn't actually aware that people were like 4 levels higher then them... OR maybe you could just lock your exp too... Also I think they could just turn some units into like 6 gold costing units and you only see them when you are level 7 or higher. There's several fixes, i've been experiencing the same thing you guys are, I tend to mitigate it by just forcing comps instead. With all the extra units now, its easy to get caught up buying too many units spreading yourself too thin. It's actually easier to get a 3 star 3 gold unit then a 1 star, you just have to pay attention to the drop rates and essentially the 3 gold units never dip below certain percentage after a certain level... Just position yourself accordingly and don't try to keep going for that 3 star trist/level 1 if you are past lvl 6 and only have 2/3rds of the total value.
