: lol wtf I've only encountered one duo afk
well I just played another and got another AFK, that's like 7 in my last 30 or so. You're gold 1, top 15%, not elo hell

: This was tried a few years back. The deal was if you were able to get to Level 30 on your new smurf account and not take a penalty you would get your perma'd account back. Only a handful of people actually completed the challenge, so they discontinued it.
That's one of my main points. Only if 1 in 10,000 players benefits from such a system I say it is still worth it. Those are the principles America was founded on.

You should be good just because you're a good person. Good people should be rewarded with more than, hey you aren't banned on two accounts. Riot rewards good players already :D, its amazing people forget that season rewards, loot boxes are entirely based around not being a dingus in league of legends. They are direct rewards for being a "good person" "You should be good just because you're a good person." I agree with this, so why do you need a reward for being a good person....
I don't really agree with that statement. Riot doesn't reward positive players with end of season rewards, they reward players who have skill. You don't get a diamond border because you were nice. They just threaten to take away the reward that you've earned if you are bad. Also don't pretend the loot boxes are a reward, they're a money making scheme invented by Riot to milk money out of people with gambling addictions.
: - They should have started changing when they got chat restricted or 14 days suspended. You don't see students who failed their course jump back to where they last failed if they were retaking the course. - Money doesn't buy you an immunity to punishments. If people actually knew what & who they were paying to and for, they wouldn't be as toxic as they were now. - League was a LOT more toxic back before Season 4 started, where the 4-step punishments haven't been implied. Toxic players can simply get chat restricted multiple times, and that wouldn't dial down the toxicity.
I never said money should make you immune to punishment. But if we're being real, anyone who has spent a significant amount of time on this game who would care if they got permanently banned has spent at least some money at some point.

There's no motivation to be good again. If you have the incentive of your old account then you are much more willing to earn it back and you will be less likely to do bad things. You literally said you should have an incentive. You can't flip-flop back and forth and expect anyone to listen to you anymore. Good luck.
Your motivation shouldn't be that you will get something out of it, and you aren't. You are just being returned what was stolen from you by Riot when you were toxic.

Other than that I would love to see them implement such a feature You misunderstand. We're not saying "start a new account. show them you've reformed so you can get your old account back." That's been tried by Riot and proven to not work. We're saying "Start a new account and play on that one." Losing your account is a punishment. It should suck. That's the point. Hopefully it sucks enough for you to learn not to do that again.
If you can be good on another account why shouldn't you be able to earn back the money and time you spent on your old one? There's no motivation to be good again. If you have the incentive of your old account then you are much more willing to earn it back and you will be less likely to do bad things.

That definitely sounds like a good idea and i've thought about it too, the 1 issue would be proving it was actually you. Other than that I would love to see them implement such a feature

That's too quick as I explained in my post > Also like I said in a comment, they don't do a very good job of notifying you of the consequences and that's another major problem If someone has gone through the multiple levels of chat bans and the two week ban and still hasn't either figured out they're doing something unacceptable, or just doesn't care, there's absolutely zero argument in my mind to continue punishing the rest of the community with their presence. The Boards are FULL of posts about people complaining that Riot doesn't do enough to punish players for unacceptable behavior in-game. Your post is in direct opposition to that saying they should make the rules even more lax so those players can continue to make the game unenjoyable for others. Sorry, not interested.
Don't you think that people can change? Especially for a game like League a lot of teenagers and college students play it. During this stage of life people mature a lot in just a year or two. The man someone was during sophomore year of high school might be completely different than the person he is now as say a freshman in college, for example. I think that if someone really wants to play and truly regrets what they did 6 months or a year later they should be given another chance because most people put money and a lot of time into this game and having that taken away from you just doesn't compare to having to put up with a person with a negative attitude every once in a while.

I do think absolute permanent bans have a place but it should be more reserved for extreme cases rather than just passing them out a dime a dozen They're handed out when people either do something considered completely unacceptable or after having ignored the prior notifications and punishments informing them they're participating in behaviors considered unacceptable. If it seems like they're "a dime a dozen" maybe you should consider that is the system working appropriately and it's the humans interacting with the system that have a problem.
It goes, chat, 2 week, perma. That's too quick as I explained in my post Also like I said in a comment, they don't do a very good job of notifying you of the consequences and that's another major problem

Permanent = forever.
Please read the post again. I do think absolute permanent bans have a place but it should be more reserved for extreme cases rather than just passing them out a dime a dozen

: 'I've said this before,I'm for reform, but to me, just being neutral isn't enough. There has to be at least a year of positive influence and maybe community service to make it count.
: I think they should just make a big warning pop up explaining what permanent actually means tbh.
That's a good idea too before someone gets permanently banned because I've known people who were banned and the warning are very small. It's almost like they don't care
: But then they wouldn't be permanent bans.

: I actually have a mostly irrelevant question for you. What do you actually get out of flaming people? It doesn't fix the problem in game, any of my friends who flame say it pretty much just pisses them off more, so it doesn't sound like it makes you feel better. What do you actually get out of it? I simply don't understand it myself.
Venting anger, I don't do it very much when i'm playing with friends because I can blow off steam by complaining to them instead of my team mates. Also a small part of me hopes that the boosted animals on my team will one day learn what I'm trying to teach them
