Please don't post that here (we have rules against name and shame), but you can send it in a ticket to a Rioter so they can take a look. : that's the point, you aren't supposed "to build up a proper 'invisible' minefield", it's a cool concept but it's also a non interactive and unfair spell that probably shouldn't be in a pvp video game in the first place, just like shaco's boxes. Be glad it hasn't been reworked yet.
More unfair and uninteractive than {{item:3147}} procs and {{item:3094}} Crits? Least with the shrooms you can itemize and outright prevent then from ever hitting you.

: Well, to their defence, after a certain point, there is no point in building defensively, because that puts you even more behind, while also not helping. For example, in your situation with LB, even if she attempted to build defensively (after dying like 3 times), it would take at least 10-15 minutes for her to finish her Banshee's Veil. Up to that point, she will probably die like 3-4 times by Fizz alone. Even after she builds it, it won't help much, Fizz can drop her shield with his initial combo, then if he all ins her, her extra MR won't do anything at all. It's better to just build more damage and attempt to use that damage in a roam and help the team be securing kills in another lanes. Building Banshees is bad because it won't help her 1v1 and it won't help her roaming or waveclear. Now, if LB was a late game champ, like my Viktor, I'd go defensively, because I know that as long as I clear waves mid and deny Fizz from roaming, it's gonna be fine. I know I can survive Fizz's all ins generally by build early Mercury's and having Barrier in my summoner spells, so even if I delay my full damage bit, I know I'm useless by negating Fizz mid and scaling up. On the other hand, LB MUST make things happen. She must have map pressure and affect lanes to snowball, because she falls off late game, compared to Viktor. With Viktor, I can stay mid and clear waves and get to late where I'm strong. LB can't afford that, which is why she must go with full damage items early.
Thats why you fucking build hybrid items second. {{item:3156}} {{item:3102}} Oh boo fucking hoo you lose 20 ap/Ad, but guess what you get a fucking passive that makes it SO MUCH FUCKING EASIER to survive a fed AP. If you lose early then at least fucking TRY to give yourself a chance late.

: >enemy Fizz 1 shotting her with an Ult At that point it's less about itemization and more about basic dodging skills.
The banshee would block the Ult from attaching at least. And if someone can't dodge with the REVERTED LEBLANC then that just further proves how shit they are.

: While i agree your example is super bad because Statikk Shiv does magic damage which Means it doesnt effect the banner of command minion.
And yet once the shock clears the rest of the minions the adc still 3 shots it with basic crits. So again, where are their "slow downs?"
: large waves of minions that you can instantly wave clear then the 1-2 minions you can't have to slow push it... so unfair.
: Magic users can auto attack them. its not supposed to be good for them. Just like {{item:3151}} or {{item:3071}} isnt supposed to be good for tanks
Wouldn't that be like making an item that makes it so only spells can hurt the minion? Makes no sense and is just a toxic mechanic that locks out players from interacting with things at all. Also {{item:3194}} pretty much makes it so: "What {{item:3151}} ?"
: Another "my teams lose me my games" post, nothing to see here.
Ah another person that doesn't touch Ranked so their statement is meaningless, nothing to see here.
: If your behavior here is indicative of your behavior in game, your "suggestions" are probably going unheard as you're muted after the first line.
My suggestions are literally just typed out as: "Build X" If the person is too stupid to understand how that item will help keep them alive enough to be useful then there is no helping them.
: > [{quoted}](name=ShroomsAndSpells,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=jWO6XB3a,comment-id=00010000000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2018-04-17T20:08:18.098+0000) > > I literally just typed how I say it for you in the previous comment. > > "Build X" That's a good start. > If they're too stupid to understand just from looking at the item I suggest and how it'll help them then there is no helping a player like that. What this translates to is that you aren't willing to put in the effort to convince them that it is a good idea to buy. Flaming or berating them for not doing it doesn't count, that's just as bad as insulting them in the first place.
I thought I was supposed to focus on myself? How the fuck do I do that if I have to "convince" the stubborn feeder? If they're refusing it the first time I'm going to have to spend more trying to "convince" them.
: Idiots are universal. Ranked or normals doesn't matter, the idiots will be the same. They can be tricked or manipulated into not tilting. But you have to start way before the point where it would have upset you. When shit goes wrong, show them that you have their back. Be like, "yo that sucks I'm sorry that happened. Maybe if you ward river when you return to lane you will be able to succeed next time." 9 times out of 10 I bet the teammate will listen. I may not know about ranked but I know it works in normals.
Then actually get into Ranked and see first hand how different things are. What "works for you" in normals can be considered trolling in Ranked.

If they refused to listen to you then it's probably because you talked down to them instead of treating them as an equal. People hate being talked down to. It doesn't matter if they deserve it or not, treat them with respect if you want any respect from them. For example, "Build X so you can stop feeding" will just be seen as "you're doing it wrong stop feeding." Whereas, "hey if you build X you can stop them from killing you next time" will be seen as "you need to do X to help you beat them in the future."
I literally just typed how I say it for you in the previous comment. "Build X" If they're too stupid to understand just from looking at the item I suggest and how it'll help them then there is no helping a player like that.
: Ranked aside I've tricked idiots into listening to good advice. It doesn't take being in ranked to learn the skill.
It takes being in Ranked to actually put it into practice like you're trying to say though~
: Macro play; pressure and trading objectives, split pushing, and ambushing / making picks. It sucks to be against a fed opponent but it's absolutely possible to outplay them, provided that their team makes mistakes - and at the level of play where people go 8/0 in laning phase, their team absolutely will be making mistakes.
WTF is that logic... This person is 8/0 so they're bound to make more mistakes? Seems to me like it's the exact opposite and MY SIDE are the ones absolutely making mistakes.
: > [{quoted}](name=ShroomsAndSpells,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=jWO6XB3a,comment-id=0001000000000000,timestamp=2018-04-17T19:37:09.946+0000) > > Not bitching, just pointing out someone being a complete moron after dying for the umpteenth time after you literally spelled it out for them how to avoid that. bitching, focusing on, etc. The word doesn't matter, the point is that you're wasting time thinking about teammates when you would benefit a lot more from thinking about your own gameplay instead. > And hey, how about you actually set foot in Ranked and then get back to me on that whole "leadership" load of bull you're trying to push, I'm sure you'll get a great response from those hypothetical "teammates" you're defending so hard. I'm not defending your teammates. I couldn't care less about your teammates. My point is that you won't gain anything from blaming them. While you could gain a whole lot more by focusing on yourself instead.
I do focus on myself in game, I focus on what it takes to win. And when I constantly hear and see: "An Ally has been Slain" or "Enemy Double Kill!" and the only one killing them is something they can easily itemize against I will take the 2 seconds necessary to type in "Buy [X item]" because being in a practical 4v5 is incredibly hard to win and I'd like to improve my chances however I can. And then when we inevitably lose because that dumbass refused to build right then I will "focus them."
: I ticket you main top lane
Yes and it is a BITCH trying to win when your teams are incompetent fools that need you to babysit them.
: Playing from behind is a useful skill. It's going to happen to you, and oftentimes whether or not you wind up behind will be outside your control. Whether or not you are able to win in that situation will vary depending on how good you are at dealing with it though. Mechanics are important, but so are leadership skills. And Trias is right, if you waste your time bitching about a teammate who was an idiot instead of figuring out how to convince your teammates to listen to you or figuring out how to negate opposing pressure, then you're still dumpster-ing your own ability to improve and to win.
Not bitching, just pointing out someone being a complete moron after dying for the umpteenth time after you literally spelled it out for them how to avoid that. And hey, how about you actually set foot in Ranked and then get back to me on that whole "leadership" load of bull you're trying to push, I'm sure you'll get a great response from those hypothetical "teammates" you're defending so hard.

Definitely not how I would approach it man but you do you just remember there is a real person behind every champion and they have feelings too. It's like this little conversation we are having I don't really feel you had to down vote every one of my responses but hey it's your life :)
Feelings don't win Ranked games, brains do. I couldn't give any less of a shit how bad someone playing this game feels, they signed up for a competitive mode so they need to commit to _winning_ it.
: Tbh though ADCs can't afford to go defense when they get behind. Only ADCs that are ahead can afford an early GA/MC/Thornmail. (joking about the last, ofc)
Why can't an ADC afford to go {{item:3047}} into multiple AD enemies? Oh you lose out 35% attack speed boo-fucking-hoo. At least with Tabi you'll live long enough to actually do SOME kind of damage with the possibility of sustain instead of instantly popping when the {{item:3031}} {{item:3094}} ADC, or the [insert {{item:3147}} abuser here] enemy looks in your general direction. And in fact getting tabi could save you from feeding them to that point completely.

: The only way to carry is focusing on your own game, not the others. You accomplish nothing and learn nothing by just constantly pointing out your allies' shortcomings.
And I also accomplish nothing and learn nothing by being in a practical 4v5 because that "ally" is worthless and brings nothing to the team. What did I learn from being in a game with a 3/8 that refuses to back off when they're spam pinged by the team to retreat? That people can be illogical morons that are nothing but a detriment to the team.

I am very polite and encouraging bit more importantly when things do go south I don't flame and do my best to keep a cool head. That is how you climb in this game.
If I see someone struggling I suggest they build X item If they refuse to build it and continue to keep dying while accomplishing nothing I tell them to get it so we don't lose more. : Throwing out terms like "powercreeped" when it's obvious that you don't understand its true meaning. Powercreep refers to indirect and direct buffs to a specific class, strategy or champion (In league) over an extended period of time. That simply hasn't happened to the issues at hand. You can't say tanks have been powercreeped because they have been shit plenty or times. Also, "creeped" means it wasn't intended. Whereas in our circumstance, it was intended. People complained and riot delivered. People are just complaining about what they got, despite that it's what they wished for.
Oh jfc you're not even trying, you know damn well that buffing things back to back so they can "compete with each other" is the exact same fucking thing as power creep. No amount of lazily made technical BS will change the fact that Riot is in fact just powercreeping, constantly buffing champs one after the other because they keep "falling behind" and "not performing how they envisioned" and other such bull excuses.

: "Laning phase is so boring right now" ~ Controversial Opinion Incoming
No they didn't, they just powercreeped counters, then gave compensation buffs to their victims, which then warranted more powercreeping because the ones that counter them are falling behind again, and then so on and so forth. Riot isn't doing what players want, they're just fucking around doing whatever they please while so called "mains" applaud them for dropping the newest FoTM bullshit into their meta-slave laps.
: Riot, can we stop indirectly nerfing Teemo already?
Riot could bring back 10 minute shrooms as a start.
: The people who spam FF starting at 15 minutes because they lost lane even though the rest of your team is ahead are annoying as shit. Same with the people who try to "gg next" because your team is down 4 kills.
If you're down 4 kills before 15 minutes even hits and are most likely losing 1st tower to the enemy then you're going to lose unless you have a hyper-carry on your side that is at least going even. Anyone that thinks they can come back from such a massive loss of advantage with any mundane champ is delusional.
: There are two types of players in this situation, those who are willing to surrender and those who are not. The people who are not willing to surrender play for the game at hand. They only care about the active game, and pour their heart and soul out to try and win it. They would rather draw things out to the bitter end than give up early, because that's how they play the game. Then there are the people who would rather surrender. They play not just for the game at hand, but for all games they plan on playing that day. Surrendering isn't giving up, it's cutting their losses and moving on to a more favorable situation. It's less about getting that win, and more about getting as many wins as they can within their given play time. Not surrendering to them is actually a waste of time. Both of these playstyles are valid, and neither should be punished for playing as they wish to play. The problem comes in when someone thinks their playstyle should be the only playstyle, and that OP is where you went wrong. Be considerate to the people on your team when you play.
Wrong, most times people voting no are just salty <Removed by Moderation> thinking they're somehow sticking it to a player by forcing them to stay in a lost game longer. Almost equally as likely is the fact that said <Removed by Moderation> are the ones that lost it going double digit deaths by 20 minutes into the game.
: Play the game. Cowards always choose the easy way out
And the stubborn and foolish always force the long and agonizing losses out.

Oh but you can't blame Riot, how could they have possibly known such a thing could have happened? Not like they could have possibly taken a moment to think: "Maybe we should test this out real quick to make sure everything works correctly before shipping it to live," or anything. They're a small indie company with too much on their plate.
