If someone were to blatantly break the rules of the company, why should the forum patrons not be allowed to point this out, and the consequences directly related to this? It's a policy thing. The vast majority of calls for firing are in no way "presented with facts and in a respectful manner." They're harassment, pure and simple. Given that we're volunteers and the restrictions on our time, it's not feasible to have this be a judgment call. Also, there are far too many people who would look at something we decided to let pass and cry about their post being removed, regardless of how glaring the differences were.

Also, there are far too many people who would look at something we decided to let pass and cry about their post being removed, regardless of how glaring the differences were. I understand that it is a policy thing, however as one of the people that helped to create that policy, I'm sure it could be changed if enough people wanted this. Iirc it wasn't Riot's call for that specific ruling, but rather the original community members who helped rewrite the rules for general discussion. I also get that many of the posts asking for a staff member to be let go are not presented in a respectful manner, and as with other content it is impossible to draw a distinct line that is fair for everybody. This subject has just as much grey area in regards to respect as player report or suggestive art rulings in the past. Which brings us to what I believe is the real issue, in that it is a lot easier to make broad rulings to keep the boards clean than it is to individually moderate each individual post on a case by case basis. I totally get this, it's half the reason I quit being a mod myself. I don't have any easy answer for this, but at least to me something just feels off about limiting respectfully worded and logical criticisms when they call for a specific punishment, especially when this punishment would be likely to be considered when breaking a company code of conduct.

We get that the player base is upset, but the whole "mods are murder" thing has been largely absent. Also, the volunteers asked for clarification on this and Riot confirmed the basic moderation guidelines, _which we helped establish_, by the way. Political/social threads ARE allowed on GD, but only so long as they remain directly related to Riot, Net Neutrality or similar core concepts and so long as they avoid the big no-nos of insulting people directly, calling for the firing of a Riot employee, encouraging or reveling in harm to another and the like. Honestly, downvotes come with the territory, especially on GD. I know plenty of people who are frustrated at how Riot "handled" this, but none of us feel attacked, as far as I'm aware.

: I Hate The Disrespect For Low Elo Players
Low elos should learn to stop back talking diamond 1s or higher. If someone from bronze has an opinion that differs from a diamond 1's, the bronzie should NOT try to reason with the high elo. He shouldn't ask why either. He should take what the diamond says as fact without talking back. Too many times, I've seen a bronzie backtalk a diamond 1, and it's disgusting, because the bronzie is wrong most of the time. The only time a bronzie is right is when 500,000 bronzies are talking back to a single diamond 1. There's a reason why you're stuck in bronze. It's because you think differently than the diamonds. Start thinking like a diamond.

What does it do right that others fail at? In what other MMO games are you experienced with the PvP? Honestly not too many, mostly WoW, Guild Wars, Runescape, LOTRO, and a few others. The combat feels like a mix between Wildstar's mechanics and Guild Wars skill setup. Though there are many types of PVP in ESO, the main one I stick to is Cyrodil. It's mostly the scale of this mode that appeals to me. To make it brief, the idea is three armies of players, up to hundreds at a time, fighting over 18 keeps and 3 outposts over a few square miles, each with their own resources, geography, and perks. Each hour, points are awarded to each team depending on what they control. The battle lasts 24/7, for either a week or month long depending on which style you join, and rewards are given at the end depending upon your participation and how well your team did, as well as many rewards earned along the way. There is a lot more to it, it's hard to capture in a couple quick paragraphs. Mostly individual skill is awarded in the small scale by skirmishes against opponents or 1vX scenarios, but also based on how well some skilled players can macro into baiting fights in some areas. On a larger scale, huge fights between groups can break out in the terrain between keeps, or often when keeps are being seiged. Personally felt pretty accomplished when my brother and I were in a group of about 8 people and were able to stop and army of 20 from taking out two of our keeps back to back over the course of about three hours. Honestly, a youtube guide could probably do the explanation more justice than myself lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhgR4fPTfDk

All the people who actually were active and loved this community were either fired or ended up quitting as nobody listened to them in the program. I highly doubt many of them even know about that part of the culture. Which, you can't really blame the individual mods for, as they are trying they, they just are unfamiliar with the very people they are moderating. Yo, sorry for quitting, but I really didn't feel like I fit in or belonged, especially with the changes that were being made. I feel ya on this.

: Does the report button on boards do anything?
Long story short yes the report button works. There is a pretty simple reason as to why some items get missed even when reported, but I don't think I can add anything further due to NDAs.
: Good gaming laptops for $300 - $500 ?
You can probably find a laptop with a Ryzen 5 or 7th Gen Intel I5, 8GB RAM, a 1050 ti, and a decent sized solid state drive for about $600. I work at a Best Buy near the Seattle area, and I see decent laptops about that price range all the time. Seriously just walk into a store to check the open box section, and you may find something good at a price you could afford.

: Is my notebook able to play League?
I'd say try to aim for at least an Intel I5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor and 8GB of RAM if you can. You can probably reasonably do this for around $400 USD.
