The nervousness reared its head once more, Katarina now hit with the worry that this would make or break what bond the duo shared. Swallowing it down, the woman smirked and turned back in the direction of the dinner. > > "Come in... I recommend that you make friends with the wine before you have to make friends with my sister." Riven nodded in reply to Katarina's inquiry about the ride. It had been nothing special. She was just glad it was over. She hated feeling like she had no options, and a carriage had very few exits, even one as nice as the one she'd ridden in for the evening. "I'd rather have my wits about me for that sort of thing." She allowed herself a small smirk as Katarina seemed to have replaced Jenkins as her escort through the house. That suited her just fine. At least she was comfortable with Katarina at her side. "I don't think me presenting as drunk would do much to improve her opinion of me anyway." She felt a desire to take hold of Katarina's arm, but staunched it. For now, she opted to follow along at Katarina's side. It seemed more professional and composed that way.

She allowed herself a small smirk as Katarina seemed to have replaced Jenkins as her escort through the house. "I don't think me presenting as drunk would do much to improve her opinion of me anyway." Katarina smiled knowingly, understanding that her sister would likely be watching Riven with the clarity of a hawk's eye. However, that didn't mean the assassin would hold herself from a glass or two and as they entered the Dining room, she proved this fact by plucking a goblet from the hands of a passing servant. "Go find my sister, lest she's failed to hear the announcement," Katarina ordered, the regally adorned servant bowing his head low before setting down his tray and making his way off. Once he had vacated the room, Katarina gestured at the lavishly decorated table, perfectly saturated with both foods and wines of all kinds that produced smells that made even her own mouth water. "Cassiopeia really enjoys her parties, if you couldn't tell," she chuckled somewhat awkwardly, wondering if she should then offer Riven a seat or if the both of them should wait until Cassiopeia arrived. However even as she wondered that, the woman's fingertips began to tap quietly at one another. Pointer to thumb, middle to thumb. ring finger to thumb, pinky to thumb. Rinse and repeat. She had to seat herself, doing so with a spin of her heal and selecting the chair facing the door at the head of the table. Katarina sat with little grace, draping herself over the plush furniture, the noble gestured once at Riven with her hand that held the goblet and then at the table. Raising it to her lips, Katarina spoke only once before taking a deep swallow from it. "Sit, if you like. There are no seating arrangements, at least as far as I'm concerned."
: > [{quoted}](name=Ask Riven,realm=NA,application-id=jxzFAe03,discussion-id=dEwkBL73,comment-id=000200000000000000000000000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2018-03-16T06:12:48.349+0000) Riven > ______ > As Katarina made ready to move, she'd feel Riven's hand rest easily against her own forearm, squeezing it firmly, but softly. If she turned, she'd find a finger placed gently over her lips to silence her, before Riven would meet her gaze. The finger on Katarina's lips would pull away, and point once to Katarina, then once to Riven, before her fingertip spun once in a circle, then upward, indicating the room above. Then, she pointed again to herself, then twice at Katarina, and drew a silent line through the air in the direction of the door. The returned touch was a surprise, but Katarina found a measure of the comfort that Riven had hoped for. Emerald witnessed her plan and nodded, pulling away delicately. the woman slinked to the door, heavy boots seemingly weightless as she approached. With a soft, quieted twist, the woman made her way to the door and opened it softly. Thank fuck, the bartender oiled her hinges and that alone was the reason she was able to peek through the door to witness Darius, otherwise distracted by Ira's machinations. Now was the time. It was easy enough to shunpo, avoiding the attention of the General that could ruin them all. But... Riven. She had no ability like her own. WIth tension in her gut, the woman motioned then, after appearing on the other side of the doorway, for Riven to follow. Worry twisted her innards and yet, she had faith, that Riven would follow with ease. Darius was there for.... A simple, strong drink. He shouldn't observe the ongoings of those in the staff rooms. > It was understood. Riven would follow Katarina Within moments, Riven was at her side. Thankfully, beyond the notice of Darius himself. "Step only where I step," she whispered, turning to the stairs. "Ira keeps her steps creeky.... She's almost as paranoid as me. One wrong move and--" she left her sentence linger without continuation to Riven as she turned, placing one step to the left edge of the first step, then skipping the next three and placing her foot upon the fourth at the farthest right. "Follow me exactly. Or we will be found." But within moments, as Riven quietly obeyed if only because her literal life depended on it, the woman found herself and her companion finally within the compounds of safety. With the second lock on Ira's door secured, Katarina finally turned to Riven with a heavy sigh, suddenly aching for more liquor to ease her anxieties. "... What shit luck," the assassin mused, letting loose a relieved sigh as the duo reveled in safety. "Go figure that Darius of all people would show up... Perhaps I might convince Ira to stop making nice with the nobility.... Save the two of us the trouble." Her words were hollow as she traced her way to the bartenders kitchen, pulling open the top cabinet above the ice box. Fingers were quick to find the liquor stash, bourbon, vodka, and rum at her disposal, all top notch. Yet she didn't mind her drink of the night as she simply pulled the closest bottle to her. "....... That was close.... Too close, if you ask me.." The Noble confessed, sighing hard as she twisted the cap free from the bottle of Rum that met her grip. "I don't care for it....." ".... You know... This was a safe place once... A hole in the wall bar where I could be me. Where I had the owner under my thumb. Where I had secrecy sworn to me... But if Darius decides he likes this place--" Katarina cut herself off, now guzzling the bottle she held in her hands. Only when she'd had at least two mouthfuls would her eyes meet Riven's, sorrow withing within them. "..... Now _ I-- We_ have no safe space..."
> [{quoted}](name=Ask Riven,realm=NA,application-id=jxzFAe03,discussion-id=dEwkBL73,comment-id=0002000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001c,timestamp=2019-04-11T01:06:46.809+0000) > "There's nothing that says reality can't sometimes include fantasy." "I suppose stranger things have happened in life," Katarina chuckled once they had entered the room. The assassin herself had seen many unbelievable things more than once in her life, however despite that fact, she somehow remained ever the skeptic. Even now as fantasy had seemed to become a very real factor in her life. > "Well, doing much more than whispering them might get us into trouble, wouldn't it?" Riven gave Katarina a coy smirk. "But neither of us has been the type to live nice, safe lives, have we?" she softly patted the bed next to her, indicating for Katarina to join her, and took another sip of her coffee, glancing over the rim coyly at the redhead. > "Now, come over here and be irresponsible with me." "Looks like we're both already in trouble then, the Noble chuckled, hands reclaiming her own brew as she carefully obliged Riven's gestured request, slipping onto the bed next to the Exile. The sheets were mostly cooled by this point, however Katarina found with a small amount of satisfaction a lingering heat between the blankets as she tucked her feet beneath the folds. If you had asked her a year prior if she ever had once thought she'd be where she was now, she'd have scoffed and likely shaved your shins from your legs for speaking out of turn. However now, she couldn't help but to hide a small, pleased smile with her glass, sipping idly at the hot coffee. Katarina resisted the urge to watch Riven from the corner of her eye as she drank, only allowing her gaze to fall upon the warrior once that glass fell from her lips and was returned to the nightstand to their side. "How irresponsible are we talking?" She grinned in slight, eyes daring to twinkle with mischief in the candle's light.

Because of the pressure. I have many reasons for leaving that community and until as of late, this has been my only home and its been my home for a reason. If you don't want to share, judging by the posting going on in the discord, well I suppose I've lost it because of an unwillingness to compromise. I'm still going to fight for my place here and I'm definitely willing to share, but as you said. We don't have to be enemies. And it most certainly isnt personal. I reclaimed it, and can do so because there is no written rule that says that I can't. Saying that its not so is only saying that you're adding rules in that nobody is aware of only if it benefits. As he wasn't familiar with the finesse and skill that takes to assassinate someone but if she wished to go that route he wouldn't object. But at the phrase of skinning the rather colorful description of Ceja he notably grinned and had the glint of anticipation in his eye. **"Hehe I like the way you talk."** He chuckled before climbing into his suit and with the final twist of helmet the hiss of air was let out as it pressurized the suit. He then reached around and tugged down on the tanks which let and audible snap and clunk with a grunt of pain from Jason as the colored tanks connected to his veins. **"Best get moving now, rain is a blessing much harder to get spotted in the down pour."** he pointed out before walking of the front. His friend was a rather plain looking woman with the only defining mark on her was a trident tattoo on her left temple, though if Katarina decided to walk out with him. The woman would blanch at the sight but wouldn't say anything and continued with her work as if she saw nothing. >The Party The private manor was well lit despite the rain but the chorus of talking could be heard above the sound of rain hitting the stone and occasionally thunder boom. The guards that were normally stationed outside moved inside making it easyier to sneak outside but it would be harder to get around on the ground floor. But when the neared the wall the party goers quieted down, it would seem that the hostess was going to make a speech. On the upper balcony surrounded by her Scyscor guards, even from the distance the air of superiority was apparent. "Friends I brought you all here today, to celebrate our hard work. Some of us admittedly started from humble beginnings and crawled our way up from the mundane and worthless trash that surrounds us everyday. But just being here shows that you are willing to overlook the prejudices that surrounds our nations of origins. So please, eat and drink to your hearts content. The time now is for joy, business can come later." Ceja grinned once more and bowed as a roar of applause flooded the room, Jason was not as moved however. **"Bah, fools the whole lot of them. Signing with her is a death sentence, not that I expect these half drunk louts to realize a snake when they see one."** He sneered.

She pushed onward, eyes taking care to witness where fingers curled and feet pushed. It would do her no good to fall from her perch now, especially with all eyes on her. However as soon as she braced herself and shoved herself from the outcropping, an unfamiliar light emanated above and an unmistakable sound echoed behind it. > ... But before he could say anything a loud but muffled siren could be heard coming from the oil rig to the south if them as well as orange flares shot high into the air giving off bright red light that could be seen despite being meters below the surface of the water. > > "What's that all about are we under attack?" Romilda asked in a worried tone. Katarina landed without an audience, though her attention was far from such a thing as she fixed her gaze above. > **"No, orange means someone's got taken."** Jason grumbled. **"Probably have a easy guess what did it to."** "..... We have to kill this thing and we have to do it fast," she murmured in a deep, foreboding tone. The woman had yet to return her gaze to Jason, eyes transfixed upon the glow of the flare. However, that lasted only a moment before she would turn back to Jason, reluctantly admitting his superiority beneath the waves with her next statement. "So what do we do now? As in,_ right now?"_
: The Bankett dav Valkung (Banquet of Welcoming) ((Closed RP))
The woman was tempted by fate itself to hurl a vase at the retreating redhead as punishment, though her saner side told her that he would only find glee from the action. She would have missed him anyway, be it on purpose of because of the fluster, she told herself as she turned away in a huff. Davian was right however, a new thought springing up within her head as she glowered at the immaculate display; Cassiopeia had never shown herself to an outsider since her incident. The eldest Du'Couteau pursed her lips, fingers tapping at her thigh as she began to idly wander around the dinner table. How would such a thing affect her sister? What could this mean for the last remaining blood relative Katarina possessed. For a moment, she found herself in awe over the no doubt anxious step she was taking in revealing herself, however then she reminded herself that Cassiopeia was still a Du'Couteau. One did not simply bear the name without a powerful inner strength. As the woman contemplated, her sudden string of thought was interrupted by a loud announcement. Riven had arrived, and therefore so had her sister's overly stiff steward. Katarina felt her stomach churn, nervousness so unfamiliar to the woman making her lose her appetite almost immediately. However, the assassin composed herself and strode without sound in the direction of the front door. "I trust you arrived with no issue?" she would greet coolly, lounging against the wall as Damian had once her gaze fell upon the Exile. "I do hope Jenkins hasn't completely turned you away from this supper with his boring words." Her eyes were soft however as she spoke, tone bored as ever even as those emerald hues betrayed her thoughts. The nervousness reared its head once more, Katarina now hit with the worry that this would make or break what bond the duo shared. Swallowing it down, the woman smirked and turned back in the direction of the dinner. "Come in... I recommend that you make friends with the wine before you have to make friends with my sister."

//alright im posting tonight. Yeah i know ive been late, but as of recent times.. This place and all of this voting crap is really stressing me out. Plus real life its just... Eating at me you know? Again, I'll be posting tonight, reclaiming Katarina. The woman who was sitting in the driver's seat spurred the horses forward. The carriage lurched, and started down the road. Seemingly satisfied that the pair were safe, the man reached up and pulled off his hood, revealing a stern and aged face. The man was in his later years, but the dark, crow-like eyes held the spirit of a soldier. His silvering hair was slicked back in a tight ponytail, solidifying his crisp and ordered appearance. In a deep baritone, graveled with age, he answered her. "There is much to say on the character of the Lady Cassiopeia. She is a woman of impeccable grace, wise beyond her years, and a worthy heiress to the Du Couteau name. Despite the tragedy of Master Marcus' disappearance and...other hardships she has faced, the Lady still maintains the expectations of her station." The man inclined his head towards Riven. "In that regard, I do apologize for the lack of propriety in which this meeting was conducted. Special circumstances and all, of course. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jenkins Adder, head butler of the Du Couteau estate and loyal servant of the house. It is an honor to meet the Lady Katarina's chosen suitor." It was apparent that he meant the words, but there was a strange distance in his tone. The man was hard to read, but it was clear that he did not entirely approve of their union. After a while, the carriage came to a sudden halt. There was the unmistakable sound of armor-clad individuals outside the carriage. Then a sharp voice rang out clearly. "What permission have you to pass this gate?" There was the quiet voice of the woman driver; she spoke too softly for the pair to make out the words. Then silence. Jenkins didn't appear worried in the slightest at the silence. He remained seated, hands placed in his lap, fingers intertwined. Then, finally, the voice rang out again. "All appears to be in order. Move along!" The carriage lurched forward again, and they continued on their way. "We will be arriving soon." ___ **Inside the Mansion** The table was set. The menu prepared. Everything was proceeding exactly how his master had planned it. And it was so...BORING. Davian sighed as he checked over the placement of the blood lilies for the seventh time. As always, anything his master did was perfect. He didn't know why he had to stay behind and watch over everything. He wanted to go be the lookout for when Jenkins picked up Katarina's girlfriend, but of course the woman herself insisted she should go in his stead. Who was he to argue with the Lady of the House? Didn't mean he was happy with the decision. Davian sighed again, turning his back on the dining room and heading back out into the main hallway. His gaze wandered skyward nonchalantly, and he spotted her climbing in one of the windows. "Oh! Hey Mistress Katarina." He shot her a mischievous grin as he casually ran a hand through his blood red hair. "I take it things went well picking up your lover?"
> [{quoted}](name=LuciousLamia,realm=NA,application-id=jxzFAe03,discussion-id=3ofbcPff,comment-id=00040000,timestamp=2019-01-16T07:50:59.663+0000) As time wore on and Katarina slipped rooftop to rooftop, she found herself breathing a sigh of relief as the carriage drew closer to its destination. Anxiousness had been twisting in her belly as her eyes darted from the transport to the skies, though it soon morphed into irritation as her company was held up by the guards. Katarina muttered a curse under her breath as she watched, internally fighting the urge to grant them permission to pass personally if only to save time. It was unnecessary however as the armor plated watchmen soon parted and allowed for the carriage to pass. Now in the final stretch of their travel, Katarina felt confident enough of their safety and turned away to reach her home before the duo. She would reach the estate with time to spare, letting out a tense breath as she tidied her threads and began to climb in through the window she had left through. With ten thousand new thoughts swirling around in her head, the window was pulled open quietly and one boot swung over the frame and settled easily on the pane on the other side. > "Oh! Hey Mistress Katarina." He shot her a mischievous grin as he casually ran a hand through his blood red hair. "I take it things went well picking up your lover?" When that familiar voice rang out, pulling Katarina from her thoughts, that boot however nearly slipped; a motion easily masked by the way she straddled the window pane. A scowl immediately formed, eyes shooting Davian the venomous expression. However she was quick to resume her entry and Katarina swung her other leg over and allowed for herself to drop. The fall wasn't incredibly high, however for the sake of safety, the woman vanished mid air, reappearing nearly instantly just above the floor with a small flash. Her aggravated gaze fell back to Davian as she righted herself, hands straightening out garments without thought. "You'd be wise not to use that word," she glowered, turning to the display that Jenkins had arranged. "And do tell me, where is my sister? The carriage here will be arriving at any minute...."

The woman half snarled as she struggled to learn the suit. As expected, performing underwater was a whole new technique as opposed to on land; the drag slowed her considerably and the ocean floor behaved somewhat differently than dry dirt. > There were other exercises as well, including climbing up coral and rocky surfaces with grappling hooks and using the water's drag to aid with climbing. Katarina took her motions slowly, mind now focused entirely on the training. It seemed as though she had finally begun to adapt to the situation, slipping less and moving with more stability. The Noxian still cared very little for being underwater, however she was entirely too unwilling to let that stop her from doing it. > **"Good....very good."** Jason remarked over the radio as he watched Romilda reach the top of a rocky cliff after several slips and falls. **"Lot easier sinking then it is climbing, just be sure you don't lock your knees or the weight will snap them."** > > "That's a joke right?" Romilda nervously asked > > **"No."** The noble watched curiously, intent to learn from Romilda's experience; no doubt that Katarina would be expected to jump next. Besides, the redhead was confident enough now that if this Caller could do it, Katarina could as well. The woman was almost eager to try it now. > Romilda coughed softly before hopping off the top and slowly floated down where she landed as fresh cloud of sand covered her before she revealed herself. "That wasn't so bad." Katarina found herself somewhat satisfied to see the other woman emerge successful. She needed Romilda to learn enough to keep herself alive, as the Noxian would had a difficult time protecting her beneath the waves. Shifting to look at Jason, her voice would finally crackle through the mic. "I suppose I'm next?"

It was easy enough to shunpo, avoiding the attention of the General that could ruin them all. But... Riven. She had no ability like her own. "I suppose that'd make two of us," the redhead offered, pressing against Riven's arm to indicate her desire to move. As nice as this position was, being backed against the counter was beginning to be uncomfortable. "And that's a plan I like, even if it sounds like more of a fairy tale than not." Once free, the woman slinked idly back into the darkened bedroom, placing her brew on a nearby table to begin searching for means to light a candle. "So is this the part where we whisper sweet nothings to one another?" Katarina teased, the flash of a match being struck briefly illuminating her features before that small flame was lowered to the candles wick. "Or do we talk about how we can keep maintaining this new escapade?"
: The robed man seemed as if he were about to speak, but was interrupted by the woman in the corner who came over to join them. The hooded man bowed his head in greeting as the woman greeted him. "As you wish." The hooded man turned back to Ira and bowed again. "Miss Pelerin. Until we meet again, which I believe shall be quite soon." He placed his hand on the bar as he turned to leave. "Please, follow me." As the mysterious man lifted his hand off the bar, a small, square piece of paper was left behind. Printed on the paper on black ink was a familiar family crest; one Ira would instantly recognize. The man led the cloaked woman outside and started down the street, their footfalls the only sound keeping them company. After a few moments, when they were far enough away from the bar, the man spoke. "You needn't worry about being followed. There is a contingency in place to ensure that doesn't happen." He said nothing else for the rest of the short journey. At the end of the street, the man turned around the corner, and the two were met with the sight of a simple-looking carriage. It was very bland looking, and some of the wood was splintering in places; nothing any serious thief would took twice at. The man opened the door of the carriage and gestured to the cabin. "If you would, ma'am."

"If you would, ma'am." The barkeep seemed less than enthusiastic to keep her suspicions at bay, until at least, her eyes fell upon that single scrap of paper. Her eyes narrowed, yet the woman still returned to cleaning her glasses as if nothing at all had transpired. She knew enough to keep her head down and it was with a small exhale of relief when the duo left her establishment. For Katarina however, her nerves only tightened as she witnessed the two figures exiting, traipsing down the street as if one of them wasn't a wanted fugitive. From her rooftop position, the woman got as close as she could without drawing attention, ever eager to hear their every word. Unaware that _she_ was a part of the supposed contingency plan, Katarina remained vigilant despite her sly attempts at eavesdropping. Eyes scanned every rooftop, sights scouring the streets and ears listening for the faintest whispers on the wind. It must have been her sister's plan all along, to know that the Sinister Blade herself would be on watch even without asking in such a delicate affair. However that fact evaded Katarina within the moment as her gaze narrowed upon the duo below, her body only just peeking over the rooftop under which they now tread. There was nothing but a twist in her stomach at this moment, mind wrecking itself to figure out what game Cassiopeia might be playing. The guilt then reared its head, reminding her that her sister would never play her like a pawn. The conflict within was astounding, and as the man guided Riven into the carriage, she reminded herself to stay focused not on the feeling, but the task at hand. Get home before the horses. The assassin began to run, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, tucking and rolling with nearly every other landing. She was certain then that Riven would be safe. Now, all that remained was to ensure that by the time that the Exile would arrive, she wouldn't resemble the piles of garbage that Riven had surely grown so used to sleeping in.

: On the Current State of the Boards & Suggestions Moving Forward UPDATE: READ INSIDE
While I am in favor of allowing OC's to have their own threads, I am also immensely opposed to getting rid of the single champion rper rule as I've stated before. This is essentially reading to me as: person, sits in front of a nintendo console and a playstation: I want to play Mario Those opposed to getting rid of the rule: so turn the nintendo on and play Mario Person: But I want to play it on the playstation. Those: But- Person: _I WANT TO PLAY IT ON THE PLAYSTATION. THE CONTROLLER FEELS BETTER IN MY HANDS. _ I've already made my points earlier in this thread so I won't bore you by restating them. But our rules have done us well and they're in place for a reason. You have other platforms readily available to you to do exactly what you want (extra customization included) and yet you want to make _this_ platform identical to those. There are numerous other places to go that is exactly what you want, so why take away what makes this one different? So we tweak the greeter post so that it encourages other people who want to rp a champion that's taken to go to a different website for it. So we allow OC's to have their own hub threads. No harm done. But managing a forum layout like this one with dozens of champion multiples? It's going to get real hectic real fast. The moderators are not gonna have a good time with that. But that won't be your problem, will it? I'm not trying to be snippy or rude and I'm sorry if that's how I come off, but I've been here for years and I don't see any reason that the one champion rper rule needs to change because up until you brought it up, nobody really cared. And also, some of the people in favor of removing that rule have more or less stated that it doesn't affect them and have admitted to not really caring about it either way, so why do those 'votes' count? Anyway here's my two cents worth, so that's that I suppose.

"Do you want an honest answer?" Katarina's voice would return through Romilda's radio. "... Some people find regret to their actions. Some, like me, have learned the power in taking a life. It can be a rush, it can freeing. I choose to enjoy watching the life fade from a targets eyes, knowing that I had the power to take it from them. In my line of work, some joys are necessary. Otherwise, it's just another Tuesday, after a time. The woman then turned her attention from the priestess, attention focused now at Jason's movements. They would be diving now, an entirely new experience to the assassin. Water was immensely different from land and Katarina found herself wondering that, should she Shunpo, if it would simply move her body or the suit as well. The thought was grounding and Katarina didn't appreciate how it made her insides curl. > **"Well the good news is that everything is working order."** His voice crackled over the radio. **"Normally I'd have you two do this a dozen different times but time isn't in our favor."** He took a running start, the water having notable drag compared to the surface and jumped , or more accurately 'glided', over the five foot gap between two platforms with a shallow 3 foot trench between. > > Accomplishing that he waved them over to follow. _"Doesn't look too difficult."_ Romilda stated, confidence somewhat renewed. She attempted to replicate the jump but ended up falling short and landing smack in the middle of trench. Sending up a large cloud of sand momentarily obscuring her form. The Noxian wasn't thrilled with her own results. Despite doing her best to replicate Jason's motions, the woman lost her footing upon landing. Her right foot slid out from under her once contact had been made, and with the water drag hindering her reflexes, Katarina found herself landing on her rear with an agonizing slowness. The woman cussed loudly, uncaring as to if the others heard her or not. > **"Got to start further away, compensate for the drag."** Jason advised. **"Now try again."** "Good.... By the looks of things, we both need it."

Katarina offered a playful nip to Riven's neck then, mischief glimmering in her eyes before she suddenly turned around in the Exile's grasp.

You've no right to complain." Riven scoffed and continued to cling to Katarina even as she protested. It seemed the redhead was still fairly set in her ways, even after everything that had transpired the previous night. "You make a good resting place, even if you're stiff as a board. Keep this up and I might have to get you to loosen up again." The Exile prodded Katarina's cheek with a finger and lifted a hand into view so Katarina could see her wiggle her fingers. Katarina couldn't see her smirk either. "Stiff as a board?! I'm one of the most agile people on this bloody continent and you call me stiff?" Katarina couldn't help but to chuckle as she watched those fingers waggle in front. The elation from that night, the light euphoric sensation was still in effect so it would seem as Katarina pressed against Riven before turning in her arms, Riven's mug in hand. > She took the offered beverage and took a sip, letting the taste settle. She sighed and returned Katarina's gaze. "Been a long time since I've had that. I'm not sure if I could call it a pleasantly familiar taste or not." She lowered her eyes into the cup and watched the dark liquid swirl. "A lot of things happened with the aftertaste of this in my mouth, some good, others..." She trailed off, quickly downing the rest of the cup before her thoughts had time to finish manifesting themselves and sighed, returning the cup to the small kitchen counter. "All I can say is that it doesn't taste like home anymore, not after having Em-ai's tea each morning." In a lot of ways, Riven's idea of home had changed considerably. "But that doesn't mean it's any less of a morning kick." There was something of an awkward silence that followed after that statement, until Riven finally spoke up again. > > "So, what now?" Katarina listened with a brow lifted, eyes locked to Riven as she absorbed her message. Her own coffee had thus far remained untouched, however the assassin found that she didn't want it, not until Riven had finished. By the time she had, a slight frown had formed upon her features, eyes narrowing. Riven didn't truly feel as though this was home. Perhaps it was time for Katarina to show her that it could be. Without the same tentative nature as had been expressed before, lips pressed suddenly against Riven's own firmly. Arms draped lazily around the Exile's hips as their connection turned softer, though that shouldn't say it didn't carry the weight of Katarina's intensity. Hard kissed turned soft, but needy they remained as Katarina stole as many as she liked. Nearly breathless was she when the noble would finally pull away, a smile on her face as eyes locked to Riven's own. "What happens now? Well... We _live a little."_
: Ask Riven
[A woman, black hair clipped short](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1x1rsU6FRBBEhS3xn_1zK7cxdE2Thvw_xgKPD4dR-ax8/edit), grinned from her perch as clear blue eyes observed Riven from the night time shadows. With she and her sister sent out on a mission to find this woman early in the night, there was a small amount of satisfaction to be had from learning that she had found their mark before dearest Morgyn. Darya observed for only a moment longer before making herself known, dropping from her place of observation and nearly sauntering up to the warrior in question. Smiling wide, the woman cocked her head slightly to the side as she visibly looked Riven up and down, curiosity dripping from her features. Yes, this was in fact her mark. "So you're Riven. The Poster Child. Exile. For some reason, the captor of my Mistress," she drawled, fingers producing a simple parchment from her belt. Darya held out the message clasped loosely between two fingers as she kept up her smile. "Never thought I'd meet more than one legend in my life. Hope to see you there in a few days time; I know Lady Katarina is. Oh, and if my sister finds you tonight, tell her that Peace always comes before Quiet." With that, the assassin turned on her heel, melting into the shadows with a familiar motion as she left Riven to read the missive in peace. >My sister knows. Rest assured, she was nothing but supportive. Enthusiastic in the way that only she can be. That said, she's insisting that you arrive in three days time to the estate, six bells past midday. She told me to tell you not to be late. >I can gather you if necessary, however if you feel as though you can reach my home on your own, undetected, let whoever finds you second of the two sisters know what you've decided. > Yours, >K

The tone of her voice was inscrutable. The woman's mind lingered on her last secret, sister unreadable. It looked as though she was leaving now, which was in its own way a small relief, however Katarina found herself surprised. Her sister had always been full of those. > Cassiopeia returned her gaze to Katarina, but it was different than normal. Her eyes were gentle, almost vulnerable, and she was giving her sister a kind smile. It was like she had returned to being the innocent little sister Katarina had grown up with. Cassiopeia raised a hand to Katarina's face, gently brushing a few fingers against the lower part of the scar on her left eye as she stroked her cheek. "My dear, big sister..." Her voice was as kind and as gentle as her expression. "...I know you would never put me or our house in danger." Her kind smile betrayed a hint of melancholy as she continued. "I know we...have not spent time together like this in many years. But I am glad we are." She chuckled lightly. "You are my beloved sister, after all." Her face fell slack, her mask all but melting, first to confusion and then to emotion unreadable. Katarina saw her little sister then, her words worming their way too easily into the assassin's heart. She couldn't comprehend the warmth that they wrought, but she could understand the sudden surge of guilt as she realized that, despite Cassiopeia's words, she was doing exactly _everything_ that she said Katarina was not. "Sister," she mumbled, voice sudden quiet as her own hands reached for Cassiopeia's own, drawing it to her breast and holding it over her heart. "Be it that you mean those words or are simply using your talents.... I'll not know... But I'm glad too and..." She froze, brow knitting tightly as she returned her gaze to the ceiling above. As it always was, the truth was often hard for her to confess. So effective their father had been in his tutelage, teaching not only the art of death and war but the craft of keeping secrets beneath lock and key. Her hand tightened in slight around Cassiopeia's, as if the act brought her strength and she inhaled one deep, bracing breath. ".... I've been seeing the Poster Child. We've met many times already and... I-... I can't keep that from you any longer. Not now. Do you recall that night I returned from a venture, half mad and covered with more waste than any of us ever needed? That had been a long night but... That was when I finally had confirmed for myself that she was truly returned." Eyes finally dared to meet those of her sister's, concern for her reaction all but dripping from her own features. She was clearly preparing for the worst, as she knew that Cassiopeia knew what dallying with who was known now as the Exile could mean. It was beyond scandalous in more ways than one.
> [{quoted}](name=LuciousLamia,realm=NA,application-id=jxzFAe03,discussion-id=IYeA2O8e,comment-id=00b00000000100000000000000000000000000000000000000000006,timestamp=2018-11-08T08:16:08.592+0000) > > Cassiopeia simply waved away her sister's concerns. "If you do not recall, I have been traversing this city unseen for several months. Bringing her here is the simple task. I will handle all the arrangements." Katarina still wore an expression of incredulity, though it was slowly relaxing into a thoughtful look of her own. Her sister had been moving about in secrecy with a supposed ease, not unlike Katarina herself; if a serpentine woman could do such a thing, it should be a simple task for Katarina to do so with a wanted warrior in tow. For half a moment, unrelated to the topic at hand, Katarina wondered if there had ever been a time where sister dear had ever trailed her elder sibling. And if so, what she could have seen herself. > Cassiopeia placed a taloned finger against Katarina's lips, shushing her. "Enough," she said, gently. "You worry too much." Her lips curled into a wicked grin. "Either that, or you doubt your dear little sister's abilities." Cassiopeia rose from the bed and held up three fingers. "Three days. Six bells past midday. I will ensure Jenkins handles everything. Oh, and do tell her not to be late." Smirking, Cassiopeia waggled her fingers and slithered out of her sister's room. "... As you wish," the assassin would finally offer, watching her sister's smirk as she vanished from the room. There she was left to dwell with her thoughts, to come up with a way to drag home the Exile. But only after getting her the message. But only after finding which new hovel she had taken up in. A list of things to do, courtesy of one Cassiopeia Du'Couteau. However she found herself, as digits curled around a dagger and began twirling it idly between them, somewhat elated. Her sister, for all of the danger that was presented, had taken things considerably well. A party, planning such a thing was always something she supposed her sister enjoyed and something Katarina knew she would do exceptionally well. And Riven? Here? That was a whole other set of warm emotions that the woman wasn't exactly sure how to deal with. The dagger now being tossed, up and down, up and down, climbed higher and higher as she plotted her course of actions. She could send the sisters, her proteges in her craft. She could send them tonight, missives in hand; if they couldn't find Riven, Katarina likely wouldn't have much better luck. That dagger stopped, the woman now approaching her writing desk with determination and a nervous giddiness flooding through her body.

: On the Current State of the Boards & Suggestions Moving Forward UPDATE: READ INSIDE
Alright i gotta condense a bit, im at work. Which leads me to one of my points: As somebody who works full time, yeah activity is gonna be a bit scarce at times. I often get called in on my day off, i work multiple double shifts a week and my only fun thing i get to much do anymore is to write Katarina. How many others have situations like mine? We aren't all a bunch of high schoolers with free time we choose to waste elsewhere while squatting on a champion. The time limit we have has been my only safety net at times. And Thats not counting when life itself decides to change it up. So no on the time limit change in my opinion. Activity slow? Like kaz said, work on it. I have several threads going on and when i feel slow i go start more interactions all on my very own. You want an influx of folks? Go advertise. I talk all of the time to my friends and then some about it, even found a new swain potential because of it. We've always been small here... There are other sites for more populous rpers if thats what you're going for but, having been on some... Theres a reason i stay rping here. The rules. As for abolishing the one champion rule? No. Thats one reason i stay. The chaos on say tumblr where there were multiple blogs for the same champion was literal hell. No connecting plots or stories if you didnt have a clique. No order. Sometimes you, because you weren't in a clique, nobody would write with you because either they were or 'i already have a kat.' One rper per champion creates the potential for a consistent story across our established world. It takes away so much pressure and stress to compete with other champion Rpers. To remove this rule would be silly in my opinion. Half of us have been here for years, building our characters and making their stories and we've been doing so with love. I personally think its a bit insulting to step on that. I'd be offended and i know more than just a few who would feel that way too. All in all, these rules are in place for a good reason and i personally disagree with most everything proposed. Now, to get off of my phone and back to my shift. Again, i had to condense so if you want more elaboration or clarification, hit me up. I'll be watching as i always am even if I'm not posting ❤

"I will not make a promise that I cannot keep." > > A knock on the door interrupted their conversation, and Jenkins' muffled voice came from the hallway. "My Ladies? I have prepared tea as the Lady Cassiopeia requested." > > Cassiopeia answered, regardless of the fact that this was her sisters room. "Thank you, Jenkins. Please, come in." ......... A smirk curled cassiopeia's lips as she answered. "Actually, yes. Please do prepare the house for a very important guest we shall be receiving in..." She paused for a moment, regarding Katarina. "What do you think, three days time?"............She turned back to the now confused butler, his brow furrowed slightly in puzzlement. "Milady?" Three days? Katarina hadn't objected as her sister answered, allowing her butler into the room bearing _tea_ of all things. In this moment, Katarina might've preferred a bottle of hard liquor, all things considered. But inviting Riven here? Into the house? It would be difficult and dangerous enough simply making her way to her, and now sister dearest dared to make preparations to bring her... Here? The Sinister Blade all but balked, losing her words (as if they'd make a difference) as she jerked her head towards Cassiopeia, wearing her disbelief. > Cassiopeia grinned mischievously, her fangs peeking out from behind her painted lips. "My dear older sister has finally found a romantic partner." Jenkins' brow raised in surprise, but he recovered quickly and clasped his hands before him in a traditional gesture of commendation. "My most sincerest congratulations, Lady Katarina." He turned towards Cassiopeia, a smile threatening the corners of his wrinkled lips. "Shall I execute the 'cake order', Milady?" And now there was cake?! Having not recovered yet from her sister's command, Katarina's eyes now widened out of confusion, still robbed of her words and mouth half agape as she witnessed the conversation. > Cassiopeia frowned. "Cake? What are you-." She stopped short and recognition dawned on her face. She laughed. "I had forgotten about that! I was fourteen when I gave you that order. I'm surprised you still remember. Yes...yes, I think you should." > > "Very good." With a swift bow, Jenkins left the room, but not before a rare, deep chuckle escaped his lips. "...... What the bleeding hell was that? Cake? What's the cake order?!" Katarina managed to sputter, confusion still writ upon her features. "And how the fuck am I supposed to smuggle in a fugitive?" Recovering herself, though not before lightly slapping Cassiopeia's shoulder in slight offence, the noble sighed and threw herself back down upon the bed. Eyes reclaimed the sight of the dagger embedded in the ceiling, though her sister's words caused her mind to drift elsewhere. "In three days? You realize that if the Grand General catches wind of this, that he'll likely have us hanged? I mean... I've done far worse than this, deserving far more than that, but... Sister..." "... I don't know if I'm willing to risk that for _you._ We could perhaps go out, visit her in whichever hovel she's claimed for herself this week. Might be safer?"

A warmth rose to her chest, and slightly to her cheeks, as she sighed, closing her eyes in a long blink as she closed the door behind her for the moment, and walked over to join Katarina. While the door was greased and silent, the handle had a tell-tale creak, pricking Katarina's senses for but a moment until she realized what that must mean. Riven was finally awake. She kept her attention elsewhere for the moment, nonchalance all but dripping from her unclothed form as she finished preparing the coffee. It was almost as if her heart wasn't thundering within her breast, vigor revived by the memory of the night prior. It was almost as if nothing out of the ordinary had even come close to happening. Yet she still listened intently as bare feet padded closer, once that doorknob creaked once more, signifying that the Exile had closed it behind her. And she felt herself quicken as the woman she so _carelessly_ refused to observed drew near. > Without saying a word, she slipped her arms and hands to either side of Katarina's torso and leaned her chin and head against her shoulder, wrapping the other woman in a calm embrace and sleepily closing her eyes, silently reveling in the unspoken enjoyment of the physical sensation of being close to someone she trusted entirely and completely. After a moment of pause, she spoke, eyes still closed. > > "Mmm... Morning." "Morning," Katarina replied cooly, freezing in her motions as she took that same moment to revel in the sensation of contact. However, despite how she longed to prolong those few seconds, Katarina was... Katarina. Even now it was difficult to express certain things. "You're not going sappy on me are you?" The assassin inquired, realizing that she had frozen in place, even sank into Riven's embrace for more than just a few seconds. The woman suddenly resumed her task of preparing the brew, which thankfully didn't drive her from Riven's arms though it busied her own. "Because if you are I might have to kill you." A small smile, perhaps remaining unseen from the Exile while Katarina turned, face turning slack as emerald met amber. "Coffee?"

> [{quoted}](name=Ask Riven,realm=NA,application-id=jxzFAe03,discussion-id=dEwkBL73,comment-id=00020000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000012,timestamp=2018-08-26T01:32:23.878+0000) Eyes fluttered open, grateful immediately that this particular room had no windows. Blinking hard to drive the sleep from her gaze, the woman lifted a hand to rub at her face as her mind slowly began to recall the evening prior. There was a newness to her body, a light and almost euphoric feel to every inch of it. Even her mind felt lighter, more at ease as she sat upright and looked to her side. _Riven._ Ah yes, that had been what happened. A sudden, muffled commotion below told her that Ira had already opened up the bar, was currently dealing with her imbecile staff or perhaps some early day drunk. In any case, she felt confident enough that the Bartender wouldn't be venturing upstairs any time soon. Good, that meant she had free run of her informant's abode. Mind fluttering back to the Exile beside her, fingers lifted, hesitant at first until they couldn't help but to ghost over the exposed skin of Riven's slumbering shoulder. They trailed nearly down to her hand before pulling away, the assassin slipping from the bed quietly before she stalked to the door. It was silent as she opened it, greased as Ira had always hated the grating, squeaky sound and Katarina found herself thankful for it as the door closed behind her. Her heart was pounding yet again, the night replaying over and over in her head despite how nonchalantly she had taken to the kitchen, preparing to brew a scalding morning drink. She hadn't bothered with clothing, had been seen nearly naked already by Ira and knew that Riven likely didn't care. She wondered then if Riven still enjoyed this brew. Katarina didn't often partake in coffee, but as her memory imparted each and every sensation to her, both physically and emotionally.... Coffee was definitely on the menu. _The only thing on the menu,_ as the woman smirked to herself, ignoring the idea of preparing breakfast to dwell instead on the woman in the other room and what she meant.

They could even see the submerged parts of the rig that extended outward from the main surface base. Katarina had been prepared for the shock of the cold, being no stranger to the seas or what the water brought. However, even she was tense as they slowly sank downward, bubbles of air flowing around them as the world became nearly silent. The woman took a deep breath, taking a great deal of focus to calm her body, to retain her cool before eyes finally slid open. > Still despite the rampant construction, there was still a wide variety of coral and aquatic life ranging from animals to plants. > > A soft thumb a plume of sediment signified they had reached the ocean floor. **"Alright you two."** Jason said over the radio as he stepped forward off the platform, kicking up a small cloud of sediment with each step. **"Follow me there's a place you two can practice in the suits, if you think getting lost on land is bad, getting lost under a three hundred feet of water is way worse."** The sight had been... Intriguing, to say the least. With a new sense of curiosity, the assassin slowly turned, motion hindered by the water, to face Jason. She dully noted the force acting against her, how speed was no longer her ally and it took just a bit more effort to accomplish simple tasks. More practice was needed, that was certain, and Katarina nodded at her compatriot. Though, it was unlikely that he'd have seen the gesture, as his focus was now on Romilda. "Amazing I never seen something like this, does it have a smell?"_ > **"I don't know never took off my damn helmet to check."** Katarina sighed loudly as her eyes rolled. Now was not the time to be taking in the beauty, now was the time to learn how not to _drown._ Then again, this was a water creature worshiping priestess... The assassin supposed she should have seen this coming. >**"Nothing should bother us, ain't breeding season this time of year so most of the big boys are further out."** > > _"You don't seem that amazed anymore Mr. Helton."_ Romilda chimed back in. _"Most never get to see the world let alone what lies beneath the ocean."_ > > **"Well everything loses its luster after a while, even Katarina over there probably got bored killing folk the same way each time."** Jason sighed. **"Just ends up part of the job at some point."** > > _"I see...…"_ She replied disappointedly. At that, the assassin laughed rudely, genuinely tickled by Jason's comment. "I get creative, sure," she smirked, shaking her head inside of the helmet. "But killing never, ever, gets old. Call me wicked, but seeing the life fade from something, knowing you're the reason, is a _beautifully_ delicious thing. I'll never tire of it."

Father was always secretly proud of that. He hid it well, but not from mother. She always knew." The mention of their father's true feelings brought a strange sort of elation within her, as his praise of any sort always had. The emotion was only a spark however, quickly drown out by the sudden sensation of failure, of a deep sadness that reminded her of her latter experiences with her father. Her failure, his near loss of life, his now ongoing absence and her inability to continue to search for what she now believed to be a dead man. Now was not the time for those things, however, and the assassin was quick to smother them wholly as her sister continued. Even with her eyes now pressed closed, she could feel Cassiopeia's gaze upon her as she pondered her answer. When Katarina heard lips finally open, that short intake of breath before she would speak, her stomach unconsciously clenched with anticipation, the worst surely expected. > "...You have always had the worst taste." Cassiopeia teased. Eyes were suddenly open, brow furrowed with confusion as Katarina shifted her gaze to her sibling. Lips parted as if she were to speak out in offense, perhaps to offer a retort of her own. However words were frozen in her throat, leaving what was quite possibly a humorous view of the Sinister Blade; mouth agape and features betraying how she failed to process those words, at least for a moment. >"Why did I think your choice of mate would be any different." She waved a nonchalant hand while staring at Katarina expectantly. "Of course, this means that I will have to meet her. And I have the right to mock you about your new relationship for at least a week." "M-... My tastes are just fine," she would finally croak, an attempt to regain her composure that was poor at best as she pushed herself upright once more. " And mock me all you like, we both know you would do it whether we agreed that it was your right or not." The Noble let out a deep, unsteady breath as her shoulders fell slack then, a clear, heavy burden falling invisibly from them. She blinked hard once more, fingers finally waking and tapping idly at her knee as Katarina allowed the relief of her sister's acceptance to take root within. Katarina's gaze remained soft for a moment longer, eyes confessing to Cassiopeia the thankfulness that her words could never offer. "Seeing her may be... Difficult," she would continue, voice stronger, more natural than before. "Riven isn't exactly somebody that can just saunter down the streets, waving at the guards... But I think I can arrange a few things, if you're dead set on it." ".... Just please don't make her into a new lawn decoration. We're running out of room."

Her confusion was a small comfort, as Katarina herself had experienced similar upon finding Riven alive. However, Cassiopeia seemed to be taking it far better than Katarina had. > “...I did not know that you were interested in such things. I suppose this explains why you turned away all of the boys when we were in school.” Katarina managed a weary smile, releasing her hold on her sister's hand and allowing it to fall away. At her next inquiry, that small grin would vanish and her face returned to tiredness. The woman chewed at her bottom lip as she searched for words and then, as she had before, struggled to allow for them to leave her. A furrow appearing between her brows, eventually she would speak and her tones were low, quieted and far from her usual sound of irreverent confidence. They were honest. > “...What exactly does the Exile mean to you?” ".... Hope," she would finally say, eyes searching Cassiopeia's for any hint of her thoughts. "Hope for the future. For a long time now I've been held back by the past... When I failed. Lost father. Lost Riven. Failed to find him and never bothered even trying to find her... When I failed to protect _you."_ "For a long time I've had only you left by my side... Only now I have her too, in a different way... And that just feels like- - I suppose a step forward. Rebuilding something for myself... And I know it's foolish and dangerous.. But hell, I'm Katarina Du'Couteau; that kind of seems to be my thing." A soft smile crossed her features before she sighed hard and returned her gaze to the ceiling. A hand would lift, rubbing at her emerald eyes as she waited for Cassiopeia's judgement. Part of her hoped that she'd disapprove, tell her about all of the terrible things that could happen that Katarina already knew. The other part of her hoped so desperately that she wouldn't.

His powers are being nullified by something he doesn't understand 100% while looking like he's just some Ionian kid. "If you do decide to keep me here then I have one small request...Let me give that noble bastard a black eye." Trace requested in a bow towards Katarina since he's always wanted to give that noble a good black eye just for payback all those years of torture. A funny request but one that's understandable since he probably holds such a large grudge against that man despite how long it's been. "That's all I ask..." The kid took account of only giving him a black eye rather than death since a death of a noble Noxian wouldn't look very well for the House at all.

Should she try to test her movement she would find it surprisingly easy to move in though compared the quickness she's used to it would feel sluggish in comparison. The suit may have been light by Jason's standards, to her own however she was already counting the ways that it restricted her. Entirely too used to light leather and pieces of armored plating, this metal construct made her feel as though she were entombed. However, this was what she herself had signed up for and that meant swallowing any complaints. > A machinal crackle was then heard to Katarina's right as Jason's voice came through. **"Ah good for once these thing's are actually working, everyone can hear me?"** His voice sounding more rough then usual "For a giant metal suit, I seem to be just fine," Katarina responded somewhat blandly, sparing a glance at Romilda with an arch in her brow. The name was already on his lips bowing lightly he flourished his hand greeting her. "The youngest daughter of house Du Coteau. Welcome." The monstrous view that greeted him when he looked up did not phase him, it was an unnerving mismatch of human and snake, but he did not avert his gaze for even a moment, paying the proper respect as was demanded. Jenkins was someone he was familiar with through general Du Coteau, a mystery masked in a question just the way preferred his servants. Swain's own gaze was as unshakable as hers if more lightened to give the impression of a more neutral expression. Though his helmet masked his features, it wasn't impossible to spy what laid within. "Let us forget about it." He offered in response his eyes glancing around the destroyed room tsking. "This unsightly mess was my fault. House Du Coteau will, of course, be reimbursed for the property damage." His attention turned to Jenkins with a fleeting glance. "Jenkins.." He nodded once his way now addressing the jewel of Noxus. "It is of no concern, you are a daughter of Noxus, and that is what matters." The grand general moved through the room standing a meter away from the 3 answering her musings. "An assassin must be prepared at any moment, the mess is unfortunate but a necessary evil I'm afraid." He chuckled in response to his voice once again taking on a more suitable serious tone. "Yes, this has been quite the busy, messy, endeavor I agree. I will leave it to Katarina to arrange a suitable place for the two to test their steel. In the meantime..." Snapping his fingers an elaborately detailed but empty wine glass appeared in his hand. "Perhaps we shall strike up conversation as we wait for our late arrival. I am here to judge this house, but it need not be a grim business only." Swain swirled his empty glass thinking for a short moment. "Let me ask you this, what meaning would you find in a black rose should it be given to you." The question pressed with little subtlety despite the casual way he put it. --- **"The grand general's will be done."** The elder soldier stroked Beatrice's head with a finger the whisper parted giving her purpose. She looked out and down over the two squads of raedsel soldiers standing at attention. **"The grand general has requested our presence at the Du Coteau estate."** The soldiers turned around ready to march while the commander headed down the steps Beatrice on her shoulder stopping in front of them. **"Move out."** Without complaint or question, the two squads followed by the commander ahead starting marching from the seat of the trifarix to the Du Coteau estate.

She is the head of our house after all, and it is far beneath her to perform such an errand.” Katarina's expression hardened as the General all but dismissed her in favor of her sister. However, Cassiopeia wove her verbal magic and Katarina found that all aggravation due to her tardiness was rapidly evaporating. Hiding the smug satisfaction from her features, the Sinister Blade simply righted her demeanor and now stood properly, with a military perfection to her stance. However, her hard expression turned mildly curious then as she listened to Swain's inquiry. Again with the Black Rose... Questions swarmed in her skull, every one spawning three more as emerald eyes locked to the General. Her demeanor remained statuesque, not a single twitch as Katarina mulled each of those curious thoughts over; a habit that'd come to form over the years. Head finally cocking in slight to better hear her sister's response, the assassin finally came to one very vague conclusion, one that she inevitably would start trailing after once this visit had been concluded: the Black Rose, in any capacity, was a concern for the General. That meant that, should such an organization truly exist, that it was a threat to him.... And Katarina found that she adored threats to this man. > “A black rose-….......... -Forgive my ramblings. To answer your question Grand General, the meaning would depend entirely upon whom was gifting the rose to me. From a friend or ally, I would take it as a gesture of good faith; a renewal in our friendly relationship. From a foe? Well…” She uttered a low, menacing chuckle. “It would be a grievous offense, and I would be concerned for that individual’s well being.” Her smile widened, and her fangs peeked from beneath her painted lips. “Would you like some wine to fill your glass, Grand General? We would be happy to provide.” "I believe we have a decent vintage still in tact," Katarina would finally offer, eyes shifting to her sister as she wordlessly conveyed that they needed to speak later while a sinister smirk of her own pulled at her lips. Her tone was lighter then, lighter than it had been for the duration thus far of the visit as her hand lifted and she motioned to the end of the room where Swain and herself stood to witness the duel of assassins. Her sister would know then, had she not already had Katarina figured out, that the Eldest was clearly excited in some capacity about whatever whirled in her head. "The sisters didn't manage to destroy the second curio cabinet." "Peace and Quiet! Go help Davian with preparations would you? Also... " she suddenly commanded, turning back to the sisters who still stood tensely in the middle of the destroyed room. With a heavy emphasis on key words, Katarina turned a stern gaze briefly to Swain before continuing on. Perhaps he'd find her look, her message disrespectful, but given his jabs at the assassin, his demands thus far, she found that she couldn't care whatever it was that he thought about one of her own. "Take care of those cuts. _I'll not be losing either of you..._ To infection, or tetanus of course." With a certain relief washing over the duo, Katarina's message received, they saluted with enthusiastic fists and bows before the trio, then turning heel and all but marching from the room.

"I...I think I understand now..." Katarina froze, her heart pausing only for a second before it thundered back to life. Eyes cracked open as she felt a sudden hyper awareness to Riven's each and every move, every touch. She failed to understand and questions aplenty flooded her, and yet any words she might've spoken sputtered out and dissipated before she could even form them. >Her voice was quiet, barely above a whisper in Katarina's ear. "...I understand how you felt. ...Why you did that before. I... I wasn't ready to accept everything that it meant then. I don't think I really understood it all, even now I don't, but..." She looked to the redhead, a faint flush of pink across her tanned cheeks. > > "But now...I think I am." As breath ghosted over her skin, where few ever had the privilege to be near, Katarina felt a familiar sensation begin to rise within her while her heart sang it's songs in her chest. How certain she had been that her feelings would never be reciprocated in the same way, and yet somehow, as she turned slowly to face the Exile with disbelief plastered across her features, they were. She could say nothing then as emerald searched amber, a hand raising and cupping the other woman's cheek before she could resist no more. There had been no lie in Riven's gaze and Katarina's own smashed shut as she nervously dared to plant a second kiss to the warrior's lips. It was soft, cautious and yet it lingered for longer than any other that had been previously shared between the duo. As lips fell away for less than a second, another was stolen quickly, as if she would never have another. With emotions and sensations rising within her, suddenly Katarina pulled back and turned her head toward the mouth of the room in which they sat. "I'll not have my bartender ruin this moment; her shift will be over eventually," she would finally speak, a certain flush that matched Riven's own visible on her own skin. "She keeps a second room for me, for when I need a place to go but refuse braving the sewers for a safe house. Hopefully, the sheets aren't still a bloody mess..." The woman offered a sheepish smile before shifting already to make her way to the other room, offering a hand to Riven after she had risen. There was a light to her eyes that she never knew could exist within herself, a woman who had been born to take. Yet, it shone brightly and there was a certain hope behind them as she had her hand outstretched, one that seemed to overcome the stresses in her mind that she'd mulled over for nearly the entire night. "The last time I used it was post duel... But Ira's usually good about keeping things tidy... Come with me?"

He was definitely amused by the way she was right now, and to be perfectly honest, he intentionally performed a few flips and extra leaps just to do that. it was mostly out of boredom since all he ever did was kill, not that he didn't enjoy killing monsters. There was no greater satisfaction then being able to slaughter the monsters that plague his city, and he did intend to save it, but not all of Zaun. "Bloody meat, or blood." Another simple response. Warwick sat down in his small stream, his back facing her as he closed his eyes and bathed himself, clearing away most of the blood from his body which entered the small stream. So it seemed that his partner was undergoing some troubles, and from what she had described, quite some stuff. Swain was an objective, a future target, because as long as he existed, he knew that man would use Zaun again and slander her name, making it known how devilish and disgusting they were. He was also responsible for so much death, and he was sick... He needed to go one day, whether it be by a blade or by his claws. Warwick's claws were heard being extended and he stood up, walking over to Katarina and looking down, his eyes wishing to meet hers. "I'll keep them occupied. Kill them deader than dead. Just make sure to find a way for me to move," His responses were quick and onto the point. "The catacombs will be my use... I've memorized every inch, or at least most of it." "...Alright then, I can do that. We need to talk though. Sit. Need you to walk me through all of this," He said, motioning for her to take a seat before his ears twitched, his head shifting immediately to the left as he sighed. "Not now..."

Kill them deader than dead. Just make sure to find a way for me to move," His responses were quick and onto the point. "The catacombs will be my use... I've memorized every inch, or at least most of it." "We'll have to be smart about this, I mean it'd be suicide for both of us if you try to just go in there and rend them all to bits," she stated as a matter-of-factly at him, crossing her arms over her chest and arching her brow as he rose to meet her. > "...Alright then, I can do that. We need to talk though. Sit. Need you to walk me through all of this," He said, motioning for her to take a seat before his ears twitched, his head shifting immediately to the left as he sighed. > > "Not now..." Katarina noted the shift in the beastman's behavior, found herself curious. Suddenly he seemed different, however she considered it to be unwise at least for the moment to inquire as to why that may be. Instead she simply shuffled to the side to the offered seat, slumping in it lazily and letting out a heavy sigh. "I have no idea what this visit is going to entail," she would confess, frustration in her voice as a single hand lifted, pinching at the bridge of her nose. "All his missive stated was that he was personally going to arrive to witness the 'state of our House, including wellness and loyalty.' I have a twist in my stomach about this whole thing. Not knowing what to expect, not having any way to find out.... I don't trust the man, Warwick, and my guts don't trust him."

Came an almost concerned, however by far more curious voice as Dearg hopped down from his perch. He knew better than to approach, at least just yet as he tilted his head to the side. "Sir.... Have you heard me? You must come at once...." _"Faithful until the end I see...but are you still worthy to be my shadow?"_ "I am still worthy", the assassin whispered to himself, but still loud enough for the other to hear. Somewhere in his mind he still answered the ghostly words of his mentor. "I will find you again, I can sense it". The sound of leather against the cobblestone was almost a whisper, but a part of Talon's senses had perceived it clearly. A presence standing behind him was a latent threat, his back uncovered was a vulnerable target. It would have been so simple. He was being obsessively careless, unnaturally foolish, and he knew it even if his mind was abstracted in some sort of willing nightmare. He remembered: the clink of steel had been so real, the face reflected on the blade's pristine edge. _The Grand General._ The thought struck him almost painfully. he had sworn, he had sold his blade to Jericho Swain and his vision. But now. What did it mean? He finally turned back, facing the assassin, wide-eyed, the eyes of a corpse treacherously stabbed. Or perhaps the eyes of the head of a beheaded body. Talon swallowed, his throat dry as a bead of cold sweat or a tear forming on the edge of his sharp chin. But without a word he started walking towards the assassin, dangerously close passing by his side. Though the direction he seemingly followed was back towards the mansion.

The man blinked, confused by Talon's words and took a single step backwards. He began to wonder then the state of the master assassin, found himself somewhat concerned for what Talon's presence at the Estate could mean. However before he could question the Blades Shadow, he moved. > He finally turned back, facing the assassin, wide-eyed, the eyes of a corpse treacherously stabbed. Though the direction he seemingly followed was back towards the mansion. Most certainly a concerning state he was in and Dearg found himself swallowing. Those wide eyes, they had seen something. This man was hardly in a position to be involved with the House's current situation, however he seemed to be obeying the order at last and was moving toward the estate. The lesser assassin trailed cautiously behind Talon, taking great care to give the man his distance. He had no doubt in his mind that Talon could snap at any moment and while he was prepared for the potential violence, he would not lose his head because this madman lashed out because he had been followed too closely.
