: YES! IT’S FINALLY BACK!
I personally think that the demon skin would be too similar to her last skin, fire attacks, rocky explosive on her E, fiery R and W. I went with Candy but I’d be ok if Space won.

: Would iceborn gauntlet be good on him? You could maybe try tri fice too, but that would probably kind of suck, especially since he's better with cleaver. You could try an early tear and dump it later on, but that seems costly for something that only gives Mana on a champ such as him
Iceborn sounds really good on him dang, Ima try that as well and we'll see how that goes. The slow and the damage sounds really nice also.
: > [{quoted}](name=SleepingVictors,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=Hx2faYJl,comment-id=00010000,timestamp=2019-02-25T16:48:34.730+0000) > > Yeah I’ve seen many pros using unsealed spellbook on him but I don’t enjoy the rune too much. > > Exactly i take precision and resolve on him for the tankiness and even more now because of the shield nerf. No conq for me, I like Grasp or Aftershock. I find Grasp helps me shove the enemy lane out of lane if they're melee, and Aftershock works better late if I am up against something that outranges me like Gnar or Jayce. (Yes, I'm aware its 40% less effective, but I can usually proc it more times and safely being range vs melee so it doesn't bother me much, and the free sustain helps as it scales as a percentage of your own HP. ) You can take inspriation as a second tree and still go Tonic + Biscuit to get extra mana. Unfortunately it means you're going to sacrifice a secondary tree just to keep up. But at least you can start corrupting potion and not feel as bad.
Haven’t considered aftershock before so i might try that one, but the thing with grasp as you mentioned is the 40% less gain from it like that really just ruins it for me but i’ll still try grasp and check out if it works out for me. For the mana problems ima try to get the tonic/biscuit runes you mentioned and check if that helps out. What scares me is the damage I’m going to be losing and maybe the attackspeed that i’ll be losing as well.
: > [{quoted}](name=SleepingVictors,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=Hx2faYJl,comment-id=,timestamp=2019-02-25T13:18:58.225+0000) > > With the nerfs hitting him, how are you guys dealing with his mana problems? I tried building Glacial but I’m not sure if that’s a very good rush when the enemy is AP, i also thought about going manaflow but since i go precision/resolve I have trouble fitting that rune tree on him. The entire purpose of the nerfs that they hit Urgot with is so that he cannot trade as much in lane, and frankly there's really no way around as they didn't give him any compensation. You just have to be more careful about taking trades and looking to avoid them more until later on in the game. Professionals usually take Inspiration on him anyways so if you really wanted to you can take biscuits and tonic for the sustain in that tree. I personally prefer going Resolve/Precision on him so I'm kinda stuck with this issue. But the extra tank stats + tenacity is usually pretty good for my scaling anyways.
Yeah I’ve seen many pros using unsealed spellbook on him but I don’t enjoy the rune too much. Exactly i take precision and resolve on him for the tankiness and even more now because of the shield nerf.
: urgot exists? i thought he was deleted this patch. my bad.... use conqueror after all riot is forcing true dmg to come out in cheese champs with multi hit.

: Kayle is becoming less of a Yasuo counter, with her autos no longer bypassing his W. Still should be a decent Yas counter tho. If you want a different Yas and Zed counter, look into Morgana mid. Rush RoA, max W. You invalidate literally every assassins' lane phase, and just wear Yasuo down too hard for him to do anything in lane, so he ends up useless in mid-game.
Oh yeah I’ve gone mid morg a few times but mostly it is to counter of a LeBlanc or something like that, sometimes Lux but it feels more like a skill matchup rather than a straight up counter even with the Spellshield. I’ve never considered morg into Zed tho i’ll give it a whirl. Also against yas i have little problem because I main Camille and yeah you know how that goes to most Yasuos he was even my most killed last year lmao.

: [GAMEPLAY] After firing Xeraths last ult shot, Sylas can basic attack ONCE at Xeraths ultimate range
Telebro (NA)
: Sylas is so awful, I have to ban him just so I dont have one on my team.
I’ve found success on him but I think his performance relies too heavily on the enemy team’s picks.
: Broken Matchmaking
Just had a ranked first timer in my last game and he actually said “Sorry if i suck but it’s my first time ranked” but he went kindred mid for some reason? Then after that he proceeded to feed 9 times one after the other without any attempt to farm or do something to try and comeback from her feeding spree. Maybe Riot uses them to try and regulate the winrate like you said but it is such a horrible experience for every single person in the game, especially themselves, in that game every person was bombarding the kindred including the enemy team.
Rioter Comments
: So the best way to play Sylas so far?
I play him mid and I rush {{item:3027}} after the first component of RoA actually his laning phase becomes a breeze because of the Catalyst’s passive. After RoA i build into either a {{item:3165}} or a {{item:3100}} the rest is {{item:3102}} etc... For his runes I’m not really sure. I find myself using elect, phase rush or afterhsock, but all I know is that ultimate hunter is kind of necessary in a way. I also think Sylas’ performance depends a bit too much on the enemie’s ults for example of there’s a Maphite, Veigar, Wukong he can really pay off. But if the enemy team is something like {{champion:24}} {{champion:67}} {{champion:34}} {{champion:161}} (because his ult doesn’t apply his true damage passive) {{champion:77}} then sylas won’t really do much with his ult.
: consider this madness for a second....
I’ve been rushing RoA on him and he seems to work a lot better that way. It solves lots of his problems. But if the coin thing works for ya then it should work for other champs you know.
: I know exactly how you feel and sometimes it's legitimately not your fault. It only takes several unlucky games to ruin your MMR and then you are given impossible games. I'm telling you this as a high elo player. I'm low Diamond in NA but I almost hit masters in KR last season. Add me if you want, I can give you some encouragement/tips. Sadly, high elo degenerates with their disgustingly deluded egos will tell you it's always your fault. So are a lot of people in boards who downvote posts like these. I'm not even joking, try and post a game where you go 15/3 and the rest of your team combined is like 8/48. These people who duo qued to plat or diamond that aren't even half as good as they say they are will look at that game, ignore how every other lane was giga feeding and tell you to buy a blue trinket ward- even if the rest of your team isn't fking warding. I've seen so many unlucky people like you who are undeservedly stuck because of bad teammates and ruined MMR.
I like this person, thank you for your wise and kind words. Would you mind if i added you for some tips too?

: Worse part about this game recently
Yeah I get what you’re saying and i totally relate to this getting held in a lost match thing. Here’s how most matches go down, i hear “an ally has been slain” 5 times before the 5 minute mark, nothing too bad right, well fuck me for thinking that cause it’s 14 v 1 at 10 minutes. “wE sCaLE don’t surrender” -the monkey who fed the kaisa or whichever hard carry there is. The worst part is that these baboons expect me not to tilt over the 20 “an ally has been slain” noise over and over AND OVER. But i get it there ARE winnable games, they exist, but telling me that you want to play out a match where you fed the hardest carry in all of league of legends in the first ten minutes when she’s supposed to be a late game carry there’s just no way in hell you’re gonna turn that shit around. “Ah but she can dc” no dude that’s like winning the lottery and no one in this game has that luck. Maybe one in 300 games idk, and even then, if that carry and his team got enough objectives and all all your inhibs it’s STILL gonna be hard not to get macroed to death. Maybe try playing safe and not committing the same mistake 5 times before the 5 minute mark and then you’ll start winning more games. Because dying 3-5 times before 5 minutes isn’t having a “bad game”, it’s straight up inting. You don’t lose all cognative ability when you have a bad game, you don’t go full ape tp into lane after a death when that exact enemy killed you, let him kill you once more, and then go back to lane when you gave him that extra lead and go balls deep again and die AGAIN. Then the 1/12 ashe has the audacity to come out and say “report him for wanting to surrender”

: **When should I wait for enough gold to buy any item?** This is where I feel like that 1 or 2 missed CS would have mattered. I always just figure out what I want to buy before I go back. If its a super key power spike item like triforce then I'd make sure I have enough gold to get it before going back. If it's something more minor like some component I'll just get another component plus a pink or something **Is using flash for a kill really worth it every time?** Depends what you can do after you get the kill. If you're both super low and it's even a risk to finish your wave or properly push your wave to reset then maybe not. You could just die to a finishing gank. If you can get another objective or definitely help another lane after, then sure go for it, especially since killing the enemy laner means they can't just safe farm if you do go help another lane. A lot of times if you dont kill them you have to make sure they go back (or risk dying) so they lose out in CS and exp so the next time you face off you'd already be up **How do I effectively ward mid?** True with many paths, especially with those champs who can skip terrain. Usually the best way would be to get deep wards on the enemy camps so you can see where the jungler is. If you know hes top or bot that helps significantly so you know which side you can lean on for positioning even if you dont know if he'll gank. Warding the river bush is usually the worst place, gives false sense of security if you see nothing. If you dont have time to get a deep ward in then putting one at the entrance of their jungle will cover your river and his jungle path **When should I use my first ward (excluding if my jungler asks me to use it in his blue/red)?** If youre blue side, usually around 2:30-2:40 at their raptors or top middle river entrance. Will let your jungler know if the other jungler is going for scuttle and also know which side they're doing their 2nd half of their first clear. Raptors is especially helpful if you know they're a jungler that goes low on HP so you can go gank them like if you're {{champion:91}} mid vs {{champion:2}} jg, free kill right there when you'd be level 3 while theyre still 2 **Kindred's camps** Kill them. She doesnt know if the camp is gone until she goes to look at it. Wastes her time to go see **When is it effective to get a second starting item?** Depends on the champ, but usually if you're slightly behind and nothing else to buy. It has good value when you get it, but delays your core item builds. However, if you have to get something like a ruby/mana crystal vs a dorans and you're behind, the crystal usually wont help you out to come back from a slight deficit when you need more efficient trades. **Is Ancient Coin a good item for other roles other than support?** Never worth. You only get drops if the minion is killed by an ally. Mid/top you're solo lane so it'll never proc unless someone comes to shove your lane for you at which you dont even get that much. Passive income also not worth the cost you put into it
The ward tips are real neat tho thanks i’ll be using them. I actually thought that kindred’s camps had a time limit after you killed them, like i thought it would reset in another location when said camp respawns. Thank you for the help!!!

I main Lux, for example. I know {{item:3802}} is 1300G. If I'm doing well in lane, I will usually wait until I have 1350~1400 to back, so I can grab Lost Chapter and 2 potions. If I'm doing extremely well, I usually won't back until I have enough for Lost Chapter, boots, and one potion. If I'm only barely sustaining, I will wait until I have enough for Amplifying Tome, Control Ward, 2-3 potions, and, if I'm lucky, Sapphire Crystal. If I'm going to get First Blood, I'll flash if my health is high enough for me to back out of a gank after the kill. I usually flash for the kill if I'm ahead. My biggest indication of never flashing for a kill is when I haven't seen the jungler in mid lane for a bit, he has good gank and lockdown potential, he is ahead, or if I'm low on vision. Or if the enemy bot lane is close to getting first tower, missing, or ahead. I keep my flash and take advantage of being alone in mid. > [{quoted}](name=SleepingVictors,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=Uo8vAVYV,comment-id=,timestamp=2018-08-27T05:22:17.840+0000) > **How do I effectively ward mid?** I Control Ward the bush in dragon river and use one of my Totem Wards in the baron riverside bush and the other in one of the enemies' camps (usually Raptor's or between Blue and Gromp). If I can't extend that far safely, I place the other in whatever bush facing whichever lane has the biggest enemy gank potential. (i.e. Pop a ward in the middle of Baron/dragon river or on Raptor's). After that, I usually let the jungler make that call, or, if I'm strong enough/able to do so without being caught out by midlaner, try to flank while she's taking them. Otherwise, if I see her bot lane, my midlaner just died or just backed? I'll take her camps. I usually pop it at 1:20. > [{quoted}](name=SleepingVictors,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=Uo8vAVYV,comment-id=,timestamp=2018-08-27T05:22:17.840+0000) >**When is it effective to get a second starting item?** I've only done this myself twice. First time, I could tell the enemy mid laner was going to let me abuse them, so I got Doran's and Dark Seal. So I grabbed an extra Doran's Ring and a potion for extra sustain and mana regen, considering how frequently I had to use my shield. > [{quoted}](name=SleepingVictors,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=Uo8vAVYV,comment-id=,timestamp=2018-08-27T05:22:17.840+0000) > **Is Ancient Coin a good item for other roles other than support?** I'd be willing to try it in a game for you, myself, but I've never bothered to use it because I like to focus on poke. The drop locations aren't always the most convenient, and if you could only come out short on a trade, it may not be worth it to have to reach out for the mana/gold drop. Take it for a grain of salt. Like I said, I'm not the best player, but I've maintained at 57% W/R for awhile and almost 70% W/R on Lux. {{sticker:sg-kiko}}

: I don't agree there is something unfair in promos. I agree that there can be nothing absolutely objectively fair in life, and so just happens promos to be into it. The only thing you can make to be "fair" is to detach as much as possible personal choices to a judgement ( in this case - promo ), so at least the outcome does not depend on the test maker. I agree it is not an individual game and in that it differs from tests, but does that change the scenario? In a test you have different problems posed in front of you, in game too - and that problem can also be ally management. You don't play only against the enemy team, you play along your teammates in the bad or good. Sure thing afkers or trollers are bad and ruin your game, granted, but then what should you do? forgive games with trollers and afkers ( besides retry)? you know it would be very abused then, and at that point it would be extremely unfair for every other (including the winning team, that loses a win and a lot of time just for this). The problem here is not riot, the problem here is those shitty players. other than reporting them and reply there isn't too much you ( or Riot) can do.
It's true though there's just nothing we can do or riot can do, If a player is bad then he's bad, you cant report him unless he admits to intentional or trolling. ~~Even though I believe that the report system is complete shit~~ The unfair part in this is that Riot's matchmaking is set to completely mess you up in promos, the skill difference between your matchmade team and the matchmade enemy team is easily noticed. I'm not saying this just cause I want to its because there's proof, you can see it or test it for yourself, I believe its meant to be there anyway because they wanna test if you're able to carry 4 other bozo shit players against 5 Fakers. You're right we can retry, but till when are people gonna take this tedious grind? I think players just want to show that they belong in a higher rank and they're not being allowed to show their skills. I'm going to say it again and I believe that some players don't deserve that rank they really want, but there are players who do and can't because they can't demonstrate that they can.
Decrit (EUW)
: in all fairness - this is bullshit. In a school exam you don't decide if you pass, you see if you are well prepared enough for said exam. Since exercises or questions or wathever in the exam is randomly assigned you can't decide your result by yourself, but you can influence it with your decisions. So it happens that people that are underprepared get better results than people that are more prepared, but overall who is more prepared gets overall better results than who is not. The exam makers does not decide this. Riot does not decide its own neither. No one decides anything, except how this stuff is generated which has nothing to do with specific people promos. The only thing you can do is be yourself. If shit hits the fan - well happens, so is life. EDIT: so also i might add, any system is pretty much equivalent to the other, the only thing changing is the reward. If Riot were to make more "fair" to get to gold then it would be easier to get to gold, that then would reduce the value of being gold, that then might push Riot to increase the requirements to get rewards from getting on a specific ranking otherwise the community reduces the value of being gold.
I see where you're coming from, but there is a vast difference between these two "Tests of skills" For one an exam is individual, so if **you** study hard enough you will get that desired grade. This test doesn't really test the rest of your classmates skills, you're the only one that can determine your grade. When it comes to Promos you can't depend on **your** individual skill because this Is a team game. If one of your teammates decides to troll or afk then it's done, one of your 5 games is lost, on the next match, you notice that everyone on your team is silver 1-3 while the **whole** enemy team is gold 5-4, who would you put your bets on? I'm not going to say it's impossible ok, but that fact alone is tilting enough. I believe that the only thing you can do to "influence" like you said is not feed. That's it seriously. You can try to influence by getting objectives like drag... seems as if the enemy team has more pressure on your other lanes and on your jgler. You can roam... seems as if your team is overextended, nope. You can work your own lane focus on winning your lane but as soon as you see ten "an ally has been slain" pop up before the 10 minute mark you're getting frustrated and tilted out of your damn mind. I just find it hard to see how in these promos you get to show skill expression. There's just no room for skill expression in my opinion. Listen, I agree when you say this > any system is pretty much equivalent to the other, the only thing changing is the reward. If Riot were to make more "fair" to get to gold then it would be easier to get to gold, that then would reduce the value of being gold, that then might push Riot to increase the requirements to get rewards from getting on a specific ranking otherwise the community reduces the value of being gold. But isn't this just you agreeing that there's something a bit unfair in promos? I recognize that it is hard to fix something like this without giving promo wins to undeserving players but it's still annoying to deserving players that can't climb.
: I just hit the absolute worst feeling in the world
Yo, I won my gold promos last Friday and even though I was happy as hell, I realized that we don't decide when we win promos, Riot's matchmaking does. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get past those promos, till one day the matchmaking just gave me a good team and let me win. Very luck based.

: Just give up guys, all of the new aatrox swords looks garbage, and riot won't care, if your post is not about giving them compliments, they won't read it.
It's annoying and sad that you're right {{sticker:zombie-nunu-bummed}}
: It should look like an anchor!
: I made a post about this the other day. My biggest concern about it really is that that greatsword they gave him doesn't feel like it fits the Bilgewater theme or aesthetic at all.
Exactly! I don't get why they would take out the essence of a skin, and well the sword was the only thing that made that skin unique (apart from the wings) and cool. My honest opinion is that it shouldn't even cost the 750 rp that it costs right now if they wont revert that horrendous sword.

Worst part is that he's not a great jgler lol so they proceed to being useless.
: Your client isn’t bugged the Other team didn’t have him. Your team did. Since no one on the other team owned him you could not ban him. Banning isn’t there to take away your own teams picks so if they don’t have him, you can’t ban him.
I see, thanks for the info, didn't know about this.
