: Ok so to start off i got 350 k + points on zac and i one trick him but im am totally not digging these changes at all, his partial gu in season 8's mid season opened up so much for zac as a champ because he had the potential to control the outcome of a team fight and synergize with other champs ults to make the game so much more fun when everybody hits their ults on the enemy team, now with these changes it just feels like you are just gonna be running in there like an idiot and throwing your abilities around which will result in one of two things, kill everyone because you have so much ap, or get instantly nuked and die. The skill level for zac was in a pretty good spot because you had to land all your abilities (q,w,r) to make a difference. Now it seems to me that you dont even need to hit your abilities because your w and ult will take care of the dmg all you need is your e to throw yourself in there then press r and mash w while steering yourself. These changes are just opening him up to be more ap, which is ok, but most people will go for the ap juggernaut build which makes his passive complete crap. It was bad enough before because literally anything can kill you, one illoai q, one ziggs bomb, a couple autos, etc and that was with the tank stats from his armor and mr, that passive, however useless it is now, its even more so because people wont build tank items because ap is better. In my opinion, I think to make this champ better, his passive should be given the same mr resistances as yoricks ghouls so one ability from an ap champ doesn't instakill your bloblets rendering your passive useless, your q should remain the same (I wouldn't mind those q cd buffs), your w should be given its ap scaling as to give zac some sort of usefulness in fights after using your q,e,r because they have high cd's compared to other champion abilities with 40% cdr (be doing something in fights other than walking around and autoing people and pressing w, your e is fine as is, but absolutely keep the current ultimate, its what makes the champion fun to begin with for people who actually take the time to play him, to be able to win team fights because of skill, not just "e"ing in and ulting and "w"ing. And please, for Christs sake, give zac a cosmic skin, it would look so good on him :( I hope this reaches out to riot and they don't revert him, let me know what you think about these changes and why they could be bad

I don't disagree necessarily, but I think there were definitely things that worth retconning. Again, can't make such blanket statements like that nothing should be changed. They're human at Riot, they're bound to make mistakes. And you're stepping up and making sure your voice is heard which is good but, I don't think the majority is as inconsistent as this Shyvana story might be. Most importantly you hope they die NOW, not pre-rework because it takes a whole century to kill someone. Atleast, before you knew that if you were even any decently good, you had a shot at killing them like an actual assassin. Now everyone and their grandmums can play this shitty iteration of the champ and feed like a boss because riot keeps nerfing it in the garbage tier category.
You argue she was an assassin but does anyone remember the full tank build? Sunfire, Spirit Visage, sometimes Gunblade. She could easily be played like a bruiser, at least until they nerfed that build, because her kit lent itself well to that play style (and had good base damage for awhile). Old Akali would dive in and just stick to the target until they died because she had 3 ridiculous low cooldown dashes. It wasn't healthy. There was little counterplay to her since she could just push R 3 straight times to stick to her target. If she got ahead you were FUCKED. Doesn't mean I'm saying the new kit doesn't have it's own issues, but I think long term they can get her in the right place. Especially since they're removing the true stealth. Maybe they can work to make her feel a little more like old Akali, by removing the 'walk out of the circle' passive for example, but she cannot be reverted.

: Hey @Meddler Akali main here. I don't think the healing itself is the issue I think the issue is that its on Q. If you want to remove it off Q you should move it to her passive and have her healing tied back to her AAs so that when she walks up to heal in lane she can be punished rather than healing at a distance. It'd also make it so that when she heals she takes some damage from the enemy on the backend reducing the total net healing. While you're at it please get rid of her passive circle, or at least make it smaller and give her Q a legitimate sweet spot. Especially if you want her to be able to dive like other assassins. Her passive design is literally the only thing keeping her from doing so. The passive circle, the way it currently is, is not a fun delay mechanic to her damage especially on an assassin and makes her damage pattern feel more like a bruiser than an assassin. Her shroud could be balanced a lot easier and be weaker (which makes it less frustrating to play against while not gutting her) w/o her current circle passive because her shroud wouldn't be required to protect her as well it currently does since she has to run out the circle and then run back to her target to deal damage.
That or just make the heal reduced against minions, get the full reward for using it on a champion.

And instead of fostering an item system that doesn't make decisions for you before you even hit the game, such as the Energized mechanic that predetermines your builds and has had negative repercussions on the balance of every part involved in this system—Shiv, RFC, **Fleet Footwork**—you repurpose an item for your convenience against our wishes. I just don't understand. I hate that argument. Why don't we talk about the fact that Runaan's Hurricane has an even lower buy rate than PD? https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/items How is the argument for changing PD that it lacks core users without asking ourselves why that is so? Both Zeal alternatives are less commonly bought by marksmen *because you made a system that makes it so*. Not just that, but you're planing to double-down on it by adding yet another Energized synergy item to the system. The rest of the Zeals can't compete in an ADC's inventory because the synergy is simply **objectively superior** if you want to deal damage. You need to have an extremely compelling reason to buy another type of item in its stead, like Jinx's overlapping AoE instances that both make for the mathematically superior damage choice and just as good a waveclear tool than Shiv. The current changelist is just *flawed*. The rationale is *flawed*. It's incredibly frustrating to have a pantomime of a communication channel only to get stonewalled when we cast reasonable doubts on the decisions you're making. It's pure arrogance.

: As someone who's been playing Akali for 3+ years now, I feel like riot is constantly making her into a worse iteration of her prior kit. The thing we liked the most about Akali before the rework was her burst, stickiness to targets, one shot potential (if fed) and the simple design of the kit. None of that remains after the rework due to her kit being totally based around the shroud and passive mechanic. It doesn't even feel right to call Akali an assassin because it takes ages to kill someone while you dance around your passive circle for ages. With the proposed shroud changes, atleast shift power elsewhere to her kit to compensate and push her towards being an actual assassin. Either make the passive circle smaller or get rid of it. Literally every other assassin - talon, zed, katarina, fizz etc. has the ability to dive under tower with their burst without taking much damage. The only way Akali could match that would have been the shroud which is now being taken away. We need a compensation for that in terms of quicker burst damage so that it doesn't take years to do the same job other assassins do in seconds. Please make her an assassin again, I don't want her to be just another bruiser pretending to be an assassin. Finally the healing needs to remain. Her ult is 120 seconds CD, shroud shows outline and half channelled abilities go through, e is already a skill shot. She has already suffered enough due to pointless nerfs within the past few months. If RIOT is adamant about this change, then I'd propose channelling her sustain into her auto attacks in synergy with her passive. Like the old Akali's sustain which allowed her to heal off of auto attacks. I'm sorry for being very blunt, but this is infuriating. Should have just removed it from the start instead of nerfing her to the ground and now wanting to take away the last few redeeming qualities of the champion. I'd even take the pre-rework kit over this one any day of the week. Edit: Riot Captain's new tweet confirmed that they will be removing the Q heal. It's really sad and disappointing to see that Riot ignored all of our comments after asking us for our opinion on the matter and then proceeded to remove the heal anyway when everyone requested to keep it in the kit.
There is NO way that old Akali's kit is more fun to play than the current iteration. No chance. May not feel like old Akali, but I would get bored playing old Akali after 2 games, had far less skill expression. Just dash w/ R, mash your buttons, hope they die.

: Hey, I posted this comment a few weeks back asking about Zac specifically with 30+ votes and no response. Now that this is about tanks I was wondering if you could go more in depth on Zac and the possibility of a revert or partial revert. Sorry about the wall of text, I have a lot to say on this issue and would really appreciate a response. Gankr here, former Master tier Zac top/jungle main before the rework. Myself, along with many other former Zac mains have been extremely disappointed with the rework and the lack of communication about it. Back when the rework was taking place, we had Riot Shrieve talking to us on the subreddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/thesecretweapon ) about the changes, but since then we have had nothing. Zac used to have much more versatility as a top laner as well as a jungler with different build paths depending on your play-style. His Ult: One of the biggest complaints in the Zac mains community is that his new ultimate feels terrible to use, especially compared to the old one. It does no damage and is completely one dimensional. It either picks people up or it doesn't. The old ult actually required skill the maneuver yourself around in a teamfight to knock people in the direction that benefited the team. When his rework was announced, his ult was called a "chaotic wukong ultimate" which makes 0 sense to me. It is only chaotic if you use it like a Wukong ultimate. It is like saying Oriana R is a chaotic Diana E. If you use the Oriana R like an idiot, then that may be true, but if you actually know what you are doing it is more skilled version of a Diana E. It is the same thing with Old Zac R and Wukong R. His E also had it's knock up duration changed to scale with charge time because of this, which is a pretty large nerf, which I will get into later. Not only is this ult less reliable, and less satisfying, but the ability Zac was known for got nerfed to make room for it. Top Lane: Top lane Zac was a decently popular pick, even though it wasn't the strongest. It had a lot of counter play, but also had a lot of outplay potential. In this lane, you used to max Q in order to poke through minions and clear waves. The low cooldown and the surprisingly high damage made it core to this champion. Without this ability, it basically single-handedly destroyed Zac top. Another thing that killed Zac top is the E changes. His E used to be a 1 second knockup at all times which allowed for usage point blank. Without that his ability to duel or escape is much worse. The final problem with Toplane Zac is that his ult is pretty much useless in this lane. It does about 1/4 as much damage as his old ult, assuming your opponent is bad enough to get picked up in it, and it also doesn't give you a movespeed boost to be used as an escape from a gank or bad trade. His Damage: One final issue I'd like to bring up is that his base damage on every single ability got destroyed. This further weakens his ability to fight other champs, which is especially terrible in a meta revolving around duelist junglers. Zac cannot be expected to exist in a meta where he needs to either fight off champions, or clear well, because right now he doesn't do either better than meta junglers. Champions can't have everything dude. The rework happened because original Zac would dive in, mash all his buttons and have next to 0 interaction or usefulness for the remainder of the fight. This wasn't fun and I imagine people didn't retain playing him for long because he was so easy to get good with. Moving around while bouncing isn't nearly as fun as you make it sound, it's just right clicking with your mouse like you do on any champion. His new kit enhanced his identity of long range engage (his strongest feature). I think his new ult is very satisfying to use personally (though the 'instant' cast R that IS supposed to feel like the bounce of old could use some work). I like grabbing squishies and bringing them back to my team to be executed. So yeah, he gave up the free damage on his abilites for additional cc and usefulness post E engage. Zac was never meant to be able to duel early game junglers, or delete people after appearing out of nowhere with his E+ faceroll full combo. He's supposed to have weaknesses to make up for his strong engage power. I think they did what they could to make his E remain fair while making the rest of his kit more interesting to use.

Like, for sure, this is a great reason to not have an ability target stealthed enemies, but when there are abilities like Morgana's ult, Katarina's ult, Kennen's W, etc. to name but a few examples of abilities that do target stealthed champions, having all of these abilities do one thing, and having one ability that does very similar things, with this one exception, isn't really clear to players. Do developers consider consistency when deciding on these mechanics, and if so, how important is consistency to them?

: Why have a lategame rune, when you are doing all you can to make the game not even have a mid or late phase at all, but be entirely decided in the first 5-10 minutes of laning? You spent the last 2 seasons adding snowball mechanic after snowball mechanic, newer and better ways to push down towers/inhibitors/the nexus (you know, the actual win conditions for the game) making ADC items cheaper, build easier, and scale with themselves better, nerfing defense and sustain (that isn't lifesteal) or removing it outright (rip spellvamp), so no shit the game will end much faster, and realistically be over long before the nexus dies. Shit, you guys even went as far as to shave 10 measly seconds off the opening, because games just weren't ending fast enough, you added surrender at 15, and I've even heard mention of reducing that to a unanimous surrender at 10; and then, at the same time, you add this, and make defense/utility runes that must wait 10 minutes before they do anything (at which point the game is already half to two-thrids over). I dunno, why add choices for a phase of the game you're trying to make disappear entirely? It just feels bad, and like a slap in the face to the actual late game champions who need something to survive until the game can actually get late, not just something that rewards them for the 1 out of 100 games that somehow isn't over by 30-40 minutes.
Dude. It's preseason. Like 3-4 patches ago the meta was to go the distance with ADCs. Things are volatile right now and naturally going to be more snowbally. Be patient.

They explained this like 10 times. You would dive in with E, roll your face on the keyboard and then wait around until your cooldowns came back up. Let's at least let people have a shot at being successful with Zac before tearing the rework apart. He looks like he requires a bit more mechanical skill than he did before.

Huh? Sej is the only one I can see people questioning, what's wrong with the Maokai/Zac changes? They look good to me. I agree with OP though, Shaco does feel underwhelming right now.

I've been having a similar issue for awhile now. My ping was at a constant 22 all the time for awhile after the servers moved near Chiacgo. For the past few weeks it'll hover at 36 or 51, randomly throughout the day. I don't get it either.

Riot doesn't have the time to respond to every idea that's posted, accept it. Even if one Rioter sees it, getting it presented and implemented to a team of however many people is even more difficult. However. Things like ARAM including all champs or newly released champs being disabled for ranked for a few weeks should have been read/implemented by now. It's been years Riot and they make logical sense. Avoiding the ARAM only accounts and the new champ feeders in ranked... yes they have counter arguments. Such as ARAM being more difficult for new players then and people that are quick learners with new champions using the surprise matchup to their advantage. But these apply to the minorities. For a company with so much money and resources, things should not move at such a snail's pace.
