There is a huge problem with that suggestion though. If that were to be implemented then new players would not only have to grind to level 30 and grind BE ( assuming they dont just buy champs with RP) in order to get enough champs to be able to play every role in ranked in case they get filled, they would have to grind to mastery 3 with each of those champs in order to even start ranking. This would of course lead to more cases of players choosing the one champ that they have at mastery three despite what role they might be and lead to more ruined games. Honestly there really is no way to implement a system of that sort withtout ruining some aspect of the game for players. Also this problem doesn’t exclusively affect your team but the other team as well, so chance is on your side ( assuming youre not the player first timing the champ) because at the most you have a possibility of getting four of those players on your team while the enemy has a chance if getting five of those players on their team. ( I just copypasted this response because you had the same idea)

: NEW MORD
Bro its only the first day. Give it two weeks before complaining about the champ.
: Morde sitting at 70% ban rate, 13% pick rate, and 56% WR even with 0 expereince on him
First the ban rate is because he’s new. Second the winrate is probably due to him being a new champ and people not knowing how to play against him or how his kit interacts with theirs.
: Please, I beg, stop allowing new champions in ranked.
Well technically its not trolling. The guy playing morde might have no idea or might have played him om the pbe, you never know. Riot’s reasoning for allowing new champs in ranked is that they dont want players that only play ranked to wait even more in order to play their champ and it doesnt really do much to help first picking because some guy could easily play yasuo for the first time and have no idea what he’s doing.
: Don't ever think your rank invalidates your opinion, but always be prepared to back up your arguments. Your friend is right Zilean is a decent pick into Tahm. Most ranged autoshoving AP lanes are good into him. Malz, Heimer are other good examples. My problem with the argument that "you should play those champions to beat him" is that you're effectively crippling your team by being forced to pick a cheese pick just so you don't lose to him. Not saying that's your argument, but I've seen it used in this thread.
With a champ like Zilean idk if that’s really crippling the team. Since its Zilean if he makes it to late game he can just focus on boosting and peeling for his allies and win teamfights.

When he increases in size, the Line skill shot gets bigger maybe? And his E should maybe change to become a knock up or slow That way he has more utility, not dependent on his ult to make plays and putting him up there to possibly be played in the pro league I'm not sure haha{{sticker:zombie-brand-mindblown}}
Id love notthing more than a malphite visual and gameplay update where they modernize his kit and have him be a part of the world of league. Especially now that his region is ixtal they could possibly include mesoamerican influences. Maybe they could take inspiration from bacabs. : Thank you, I've been ranting about the state of champion visuals every chance I get. I think there are at least 50 champs that NEED a VU, more than 1/3 of the roster and a sizeable amount of them could also use some ability changes or reworks. New champs lately have been feeling really boring and that's what I'm here to discuss. I've been thinking about it lately and I'm pretty sure we can trace a "golden age" of sorts for champion releases. In my opinion the period from Yasuo's release up until Xayah and Rakan was full of spot on champions with each feeling unique in their own way. I'm talking, Yasuo,, Vel'Koz, Braum, Tahm, Gnar, Azir, Kalista, Rek'sai, Bard, Ekko, Kindred, Illaoi, Jhin, A-Sol, Taliyah, Kled, Ivern, Camille and the two lovebirds. Some of those might not have really novel kits or mechanics, however all of them feel really unique, fun, thematicaly interesting. This is the longest streak of good releases riot has ever gotten. After that we got Kayn and Ornn, who both felt underwhelming imo. Kayn's terrainwalking didn't really do much to set him apart from other flankers and his design, weeeell, at least some people can fap to him I guess. Ornn had an outstanding design and backstory, his abilities however were not at all unique save for his item mechanic, which isn't even the strongest part of his kit. It's like they chose the most standard abilities from a Tank Champion Starter Pack. Then we got Zoe, which was a happy upset in the staleness that was to continue, but you could see they were really trying too hard with that one. Then Pyke and Kai'sa. Pyke was somewhat interesting I'll admit, but again his kit is too basic, nothing to write home about. Kai'sa didn't even offer anything new in terms of her role and was a boring design for her admittedly interesting lore. Neeko was basic af cutie mage with a gimmicky passive that was low impact after all, Sylas had somewhat cool gameplay but the dude is literally just a dude with jeans and Yuumi is a blue cat that doesn't really have anything cat-like in her gameplay. Now the new champ only adds insult to injury. Dash, burst skillshot, invis, stun, KK riot. Not to mention she adds little thematicaly to the game. A sassy brat is not exactly a unique concept for league. And she's already gotten a HUGE amount of backlash for her art design, more than Kai'sa ever got dare I say. Whether riot is going through a period of creative fatigue or they decided that their game will now be Rift's Next Top Model the result is the same. They focus on all the wrong fronts and the game feels like it's split in half by a time portal.
You know whats crazy, is that ive never seen a neeko use her passive in a game of league. Sure during the first two weeks she was out they used it but now nobody even cares about it and just play as an on hit mage.

: League of Legends has a lot of Warhammer 40k writers working on their staff. Warhammer 40k lore, for a loooooong time was very stagnant and slow moving. It's only very recently WH40k started to advance it's story and timeline and even then pretty glacially. Literally years would move by and a lot of ongoing major campaigns would be untouched. The expectation was the only real advancement you would see would be in small, relatively insignificant throwaway side stories where the major balance of powers wouldn't change featuring cameos of major characters. This is pretty much modern League lore - throwaway color stories, throwaway side characters that die, and ongoing storylines that don't go anywhere. Oh, and I forgot the excessive worldbuilding with quirky names just because. I do not expect the plotlines to ever really go anywhere. And even if they do, it's hard to really care or feel any impact on them since so much of League's world is unrealized and poorly developed and has no effect on the gameplay.
Hey do you have any good 40k books to recommend? Id like to actually read some stories about the universe but dont know which ones are good ( apparently one of the books has a space elf get sodomized bu children). I’ve always known the general lore about the universe ( Perturabo being a manchild, Vulkan being the coolest primarch, Necron’s having pokemon gods) but would like a more in depth look into it.

: That raises the question tho - what happens if you can directly hurt the spiritual form of the Spirit God, not just his avatar? We've seen, with The Black Mist, although it's entirely different, that physically killing a wraith just sends them back to the Mist unless they are hit with a specific type of magic (Lucian's guns, if memory serves...? Might be wrong!) So I've always wondered, in cases like Spirit Gods, Wraiths/Spectres, even Mordekaiser, what happens if you could directly hit their spirits/spiritual forms rather than only their physical form? That's something very Ionia-esque (Shen, Syndra), but still I'm curious :p
Illaoi just needs to bulk up even more to beat the soul out of all these “gods”. Maybe she can workout with Braum.

I'm torn between the monstrous beast of a deity he is heading toward and the Wise Noble Bear that he use to be. Hoping some how they can keep both but I don't see it happening. I think they'll find a compromise, especially if the rework is marked by the story moving forward with Volibear finally returning to a fully-healed physical form after his fight with Ornn long ago. This means that he'll be able to spread his influence throughout more peoples of the Freljord, some of whom would view him admirably, but with less crazy cultish eyes than the Ursine. He should be a fearsome god of war, but still a *god*. He should have the wisdom and appropriate badassery that comes with that position, not just the ruthlessness alone. Similar to what old Aatrox was. Maybe that's why Riot changed Aatrox's personality; Voli could be taking that role instead.
I hope that when they rework Voli for his character they make someone who isnt outright evil but is just a dick to people and pretty forceful with getting his way and doing what he thinks is right. Voli (EUW)
: It's a specific time frame setting, namely just after his battle with ornn ended. That's why he looks so fucked up and gorey. The normal Volibear isn't like that.
Idk if its just after btw. Because in the lore The death of Ornn’s followers is treated like stories that are passed down from generation to generation. In Nunu’s lore its said that his mom passes down songs of her tribe to Nunu and Ornn’s teaser song is one of them. Also in Ornn’s color story it seems that enough time has passed that tribes have forgotten of his existence due to the fact that the only person who remembers Ornn in the color story is the blind old man.
: PLEASE use 'Silence For The Damned' as a frame of reference for the Volibear VGU
That shouldnt be volibear though. Volibear should be the thousand pierced bear. He should look like a bear thats been through countless battles and won but not like some eldritch horror creature. Eldritch monster Volibear was more of what he looks like from the point of view of those wishes to subjugate which of course means he has to be as intimidating as possible. But normally Volibear is a warrior who thrives in battle and should also be kind of a dick. Which is shown when he fucks with Ornn and tries to bully him into building weapons for him. As for the kit I think volibear has to keep his flip and roaring and if possible his regeneration in some way. Perhaps they could modernize those skills and do something else instead of his bite and ult. So i guess the point to my rambling is that Volibear shouldnt be a champion whose primary thematic is to instill fear but more of a god of battle whose body is coursing with power and relics of those who have tested him. Edit: the biggest change I want them to do to volibear is perhaps change his name from volibear to Voli or just Voliber. Make it so his name isnt just “ HEY HES A BEAR AND HE HAS BEAR IN HIS NAME.”

: I know that Urgot's shield was his main trade power tool, it got hit along with his passive, but this is going a tad further from the original intention. Not long ago, i made a comment about the shield, i did not complained about his passive, nor range-ish spectrum. The passive nerf was something unexpected, but if they had data that proved to be sufficient to hit, well, oh my. Now, in regards of modifying the W and E. I am not sure what are they trying to do here.. I thought our dear Urgod kit as a bully was to also counter-measure other bullies. IF that makes sense.. Are they trying to protect certain melees? if that is the case, Urgot is not the biggest offender, nor, the solution by "tweaking" him... somewhere...I am not quite sure where Urgot is going with the changes. I mean, they are not even moving the power curve. And now the shield scales with AD? another Riven? What is the cooldown on that?
I really don't like that riot is just fucking around with Urgot's kit and making him into whatever he is now. I mean 0 cd w, why would they make that a thing? IMO they should have just nerfed his dmg numbers and leave his kit be instead of butchering it like they are now.

I think rhaast is weaker than aatrox but stronger than varus because Darkin need flesh to sustain themselves and Aatrox has mastered recrafting flesh into his own form to such a degree that he can take over multiple bodies and make himself grow larger. Then the army captain demanded she give them the crossblade, as agreed upon, and as she turned around, she threw it, cutting the captain and his men in half. Then she just went on a killing spree out of the tomb. They weren't even evil. It was just a Podunk desert town run by a rich guy who thought he was related to the great ancient Shurimans. > Also Miyasha states that the reason for forging Taanaris human heart into the chalicar is that he was an ascended that was stripped of his godhood and became human and forging that into the chalicar would have the bonus effect of being able to hurt ascended more easily since it knows how they can be undone. I don't think that is exactly what was said. His normal human heart wouldn't do anything. If it was his Ascended Darkin heart, then I would agree with you. His immortal essence was preserved within the crossblade to strengthen it's power, and actually seek out other Darkin. However, this would mean that Ta'anari was still in the crossblade, and the reason she is so attached to the crossblade is because it is influencing her, like Gollum and the one ring... but the ring in this case... you throw... and it turns into a cross.
"Even without eyes, Ta’anari felt the golden power of the Chalicar hovering just above him. Though his body was withered and all but spent, he cried out in agony as its edge split his chest. Myisha whispered into his ear. “The power that coursed through this weapon touched you all, Ta’anari. It knows your kind now. And I give that fire to mortals.” Her hands were inside him, and Ta’anari felt his heart being cut away, felt it being lifted from the cage of his cloven ribs... yet, still, he lived." As it states from the story the chalicar and taanari's heart are used to show mortals how to defeat the darkin. Upon rereading the story it seems that Taanari's heart might not have even been used to empower the chalicar but instead it was studied by weaponsmiths to learn how to undo ascended and hurt them.

You must remember that Taanari was a rather old ascended and as stated by a rioter wasnt a perfect 100 percent ascended like Nasus or Renekton so his healing properties would be weaker than theirs. Which is also the same reason that the ascended present in twilight of the gods didnt just heal themselves from their injuries. The only thing left of Azir after he died was trace amount of his DNA in his decedents. He died in the center of Shurima, reduced to sub-atomic particles as the full force of the sun literally split his atoms to pieces, then millions of years later, in a different part of Shurima, he resurrected himself with a pool of blood from his great great great great... you get the picture, grand daughter. If Azir can come back from literally strands of someone else's DNA, I think Ta'anari is fine... Well, as fine as someone who was forged into a cross can be.
the difference between aatrox and taanari tho is that taanari was a human when he died not ascended. Also when it states aatrox was dormant that just means he was without host because it is proven that darkin are conscious for every second of their imprisonment. So I would be surprised that taanari was inside the chalicar without him attempting to take control of her body.

So scales wouldnt require duo. Well yeah, neither Kayle nor Morgana are the Darkin, but they have a Darkin between them, which is why Kayle can't reach her full potential, as stated by Aatrox, and why Morgana is still mostly human, because neither of them have full access to the weapon. Now for the Lamb who broke the first seal, that is obviously Ta'anari, the Darkin that kicked off the Darkin War, and was the first Darkin who was sealed within a freakin' cross. The same freakin' cross Sivir happens to be throwing around. And look at that, Sivir has holy blood, is destined to inherit a glorious golden kingdom, was betrayed and promptly resurrected. Almost like she is some kinda Jesus figure. So the 5 Darkin are Aatrox{{champion:266}} , Varus{{champion:110}} , Rhaast{{champion:141}} , Valeeva{{champion:10}} {{champion:25}} , and Ta'anari{{champion:15}} .
Taanari is dead tho. Miyasha ripped out his human heart which killed him. Not to say that parts of taanari are infused into the chalicar, just that his spirit does not reside within the weapon so he cannot corrupt sivir because he is dead.
: Who would Win: Round one! Urgot Versus Camille
I feel urgot would win due to his weaponry welded onto his body. Also Urgot is intelligent like camille and wouldnt fall for her tactics as her other targets would.

: I never knew true pain before I tried to auto an Akali dipping in and out of her shroud as Nautilus. Shit is like playing whac-a-mole.
You made me audibly laugh. I just imagine nautilus at a carnival playing whack-a-akali.
: The correct way to fix zoe.
I think that for zoe’s W riot should remove the interaction with minions that makes them randomly drop a random active. Instead riot should make it so that minions always drop the same active that would be unique to zoe only. For example a small MS boost or a point and click damage active. This way Riot could change the numbers of this unique active in order to keep zoe’s w in line and also remove the unfair rng from laning against zoe. Also instead of minions randomly having baloons that give zoe the active spell it should be changed to once zoe kills a set number of minions the next one will drop the item active. I think this would make it more fair to the enemy laner because now the minion dropped actives has less rng and can be kept track of in order to counter play it.

: I'm Glad that Lots of People Like the Lissandra Lore, but I Can't Say I Agree.
I feel like with the riot pumping out new lore by the end of it everyone is gonna have a piece of lore changed into something they dislike. For me that’s the fact that darkin sre just bad ascended and for you it gonna be Lissandra lore changes.

: So Vel'Koz is essentially a scout for The Watchers
{{champion:161}} is the superior scout. Sorry{{champion:17}}
: 1. pretending to serve them-- actually trying to keep them contained. Fortunately for her, the watcher's concept of time is different that ours. (billions and billions of years) 2. yes. 3. yes. 4. yes. But she's not stupid or suicidal. (If she was to allow the Watchers into our world she knows she too would die.) 5. yes. She is an iceborn and a witch.
I feel that lissandra’s bio should be touched on in order to clearly convey those points. From what i have read on the boards many people had a hard time understanding Lissandra’s bio due to the odd wording and have come to conclusions about Lissandra that stem from misinterpretations.
