Patch 6.4. The patch that brought Rito to its knees lol. Yall kinda shit the bed here.
: Weird thing to take away,
its not that short of a window, and what happens any time u don't complete a transaction? its cancelled. Big deal. 20-30 seconds is more than enough time to buy a skin. Champ select takes longer now than it did before anyhow, and that was plenty of time. Your argument is bad. Try again my friend.

They will test meta tweaks on the PBE, but the PBE is not where they are gathering the information necessary to decide what those tweaks are. That is a given, considering one would have to follow the money to see who's opinion is more valued. It basically says the community at large doesn't matter anymore if only the pros' voice were listened to because it's their job. They _have_ to play the game. For the rest of the community that plays the Game because they love it (hence "amateur"), you're basically saying they have a less-than-valued opinion because they don't get the money. It isn't taking your comment to the "extreme" when the tone of it sends this exact message: "Whoever gets the pay, gets the say." I don't care about getting paid to play this mess of a Game anyhow, seeing as how the direction isn't going anywhere good (and many former players who've moved on would agree with me on this). I also know how the damned PBE works because I was a part of it for several months. Doesn't change the fact that that part of the community basically gives the devs the go-ahead signal to release a champion after most of the bugs have been worked out. Two of the biggest mistakes to come out of the PBE were Jinx (for the reasons I previously stated) and Illaoi (who still snowballs far too hard from mid-game onwards, once one stacks armor and hp on her first in that order, especially when that first item is {{item:3742}}). There will always be the difference in talent across Bronze/Silver (basically the same tier with different names), Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and so on (you're talking to one of the top fifty players in NA of the short-lived Infinite Crisis, out of several thousand on the server, so I know full well about skill differences). However, the voice of each and every single player in the community on the whole ought to be valued if the devs actually cared about player retention (by the way, they pretty much don't if one isn't already a fanboy/girl). It's like politics. The devs (politicians) only listen to the pros (lobbyists) while screwing over the community at large, since a lot of their patches (new and updated rules/laws) cater specifically to the pros under the guise of being aimed at everybody. Only difference between the devs and politicians is that the developers don't work for us.
Everyone keeps assuming that money has anything to do with what I am talking about in my comment. It doesn't. Let me ask you this though, who plays the game the most? Pros. Who is by far and large the most talented at the game? The pros, and at what level of play is the competition the most evenly matched? only level really, The Pros. Thats why you use only the most elite tier of play to figure out balancing for a game.

They are the only ones who can provide valuable information in a short enough time span to make balance relevant. What about the amateur players who are just as good, then? Do they not count because they aren't getting paid to play the game? How about the time that Jinx was released? A large number of players in the PBE at the time gave Riot the go-ahead to release her even though she was the most broken champion. Her damage was too high, her slow was far too heavy, and she consumed a negligible amount of mana on her Q (per shot) for any real sort of counterplay against her. And you know who loved that kind of power the most? I'm willing to bet it was the pros that tested the hell out of her in the PBE, since they (as you said) are the only sources of valuable testing information, unlike everyone else who tested her. Guess getting paid to play a game makes you one of the "in" crowd while the rest of us are basically irrelevant (again, going off what you're saying).

You really shouldn't try to diminish his responses by calling them "girlfriend tactics" . He was communicating like a human being> He was showing empathy, then giving a reason behind their decisions. The empathy response was natural to the butt hurt feelings of the community over Kench. Its important when dealing with upset subjects. "I feel ya man, I understand", and they do understand. The decisions for Kenches design make sense though. Sure, there are situations where he can be oppressive to play against. SO FUCKING WHAT. A situation where a champion is really strong... OH NO! Now I agree he should be toned back a little bit and the author even admitted they are looking at it! There should be situations where champions shine more than others. Not every single exchange should be super balanced! The game you want is boring as fuck. I am glad the Move speed away is getting nerfed, that is probably the only BS part of his kit. The Kench is a unique champion though, lets keep it that way.

This would essentially make it a 4v5 if the person being targeted can't play more than 5 champs. But there lies the inherent problem. The devs care too much about the pros and not enough about the rest of the community (which, by the way, overwhelmingly outnumbers the pros), so saying that this change shouldn't happen because eSports is totally inane. I stopped playing ranked because they haven't done anything to the ban count (along with other reasons which are irrelevant to the topic at hand) while the champion list grows ever longer. she is easier to deal with in mid lane really,at least from my experience. because most mid laners can kite easily or have good ranged attacks which is a major weakness for her. Easy to dodge her abilities, and even if she grabs out your soul and kills it, its an annoyance more than a real threat.

if it helps i had a 57% win rate over all, until i hit s5 a few days ago, now its dipped to about 52% overall. Im just super frustrated, doesnt seem to matter what i do, if i do well or poorly in any of these games. Every lane loses. the few wins ive had in the last couple days were do to pure luck involving disconects.

: words have 2 forms of meanings to them. They have their default definition, and they have their developed connotation. While tactic and strategy are extremely similar regarding definition, they have completely different connotations. Strategy is generally associated with planning and thinking. Being prepared for every eventuality, always trying to out smart your opponent. Tactics is generally associated with doing things and acting out plans. And is often related to reacting to the opponent and adapting to situations that were unable to be pre-planned. If you want a good example between the two contrasting ideas, go watch Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Lelouch embodies strategy, while his friend Suzaku embodies real time tactics.
Strategy and Tactics are the same thing. They are, in fact, synonymous. Their definitions, and their use, are the same. They are completely interchangeable even! even as you put it: "Strategy is generally associated with planning and thinking. Being prepared for every eventuality, always trying to out smart your opponent." and "Tactics is generally associated with doing things and acting out plans. And is often related to reacting to the opponent and adapting to situations that were unable to be pre-planned." these are the same things, you just repeated yourself, and some how you are saying that the actual act is what separates the two words. but it doesn't, Strategy and Tactics both refer to the process/execution as much they do the idea. Tserris was absolutely correct earlier.
: it's cheaper just to buy the champions with RP. 2560 RP will buy 5.25 6300 IP champs when they are on sale for 487 RP. a value of 33075 IP. a 50 win IP boost will net you an aditional 145 IP per game for a total of 7250 IP. even if you buy the champions at full price buying the champions is better.
I never thought about it like that! makes sense, I should just use the IP i have stacking up then for all runes. One of the main reasons ive had an IP boost running anyhow was to help flesh out rune pages faster.

Buy an IP boost. I have pruchased a couple 50 Win IP boosts and drastically increased my Champion pool and put together some rune pages for my fav roles and champs.
: How do people not understand Nemesis Draft?
part of the reason i refuse to play the game mode unless i have 4 other friends with me. I Q'd up for it solo twice, and i never will again. It is the worst League Experience I have had. bad clunky team comps, no communication besides "going top" and people who have no idea whats going on. fugging awful. at least with a pre built team you can talk and plan out who gets what champ in what lane, what your game plan is and who you are going to ban/pick for the other team, its complex. but that is the ONLY time its complex and fun. With 5 people it is fun the way Rito intended i believe. Solo it is absolute fucking garbage and i cant wait to never play it again!
: I GOT A JOBBBBB
First thing I bought was an IP Boost, and Ive had one rolling almost consistently in the 1.5 years ive been playing this awesome game! The first skin I bought was most certainly Valkyrie Leona.
: mundo support. good idea or no?
all great stuff here people! thanks! Ive tried a few games with him now, so i figured id leave an update on this trial for those interested. The first game was rough mostly because my ADC partner and I had a tough time with the synergy, he is used to being very aggressive because I typically play some in-your-face supports like Leona, so I had to get him to sit back and just farm while i zoned, and to be wary more so of ganks. Games 2+ have gone waay better. We have found that freezing our lane just outside of turret range is ideal, as I can zone easy with safety of the tower to fall back on when an enemy gank comes. He has been working well with Jinx, Tristana, Ashe and Cait. they all have OK disengage/escape/safety. He does scale really well off of relic shield and Sightstone. Drawbacks of obviously the lack of peel. And the Defensive builds really aren't that expensive on him. my typical build (a pretty standard tank support/utility build) has been {{item:3401}} {{item:3117}} {{item:2045}} {{item:3065}} {{item:3143}} with a final item being needs sensitive, so possibly a {{item:3151}} {{item:3190}} {{item:3060}} {{item:3075}} {{item:3083}} {{item:3512}} are all things ive played around with for the final part of my build, some of the more utility items ive snuck in earlier in the build, for example ill build a Banner of Command early on if we are already snowballing hard to just add even more lane pressure. so realistically the low cost of the boots/sightstone/ eventual Face of the Mountain finish offsets the Large Defensive item costs. Average Full build cost of 12,300g if u get to full build. i would never try this with out my duo partner though, it takes great synergy and communication to pull off. Obviously he is not a tier one support, but he is decent to have in the back pocket i think, as he will come as a surprise most of the time. I am always first pick for my fives team, so i Could see picking Mundo Support blind, to throw the enemy team off. I am going to mess around with some Shen support as well as someone here mentioned, and Lee Sin Support has been fun as well. Dont worry though fellow Yolo Q'ers , i still play my traditional supports when I Q up alone, Best Leona in Bronze baby.. (just kidding, i havnt proved that yet) Happy hunting.

: You mentioned putting together a 5's team so I assume you are looking for these answers when working on a pre-made team instead of Solo Queue. I am going to assume that you can communicate by talking instead of typing, if you can't, get some sort of voice communication. **Baller Shot Caller** Anyone on your team can be the shot caller, regardless of role. Shot calling is less about role and more about having game knowledge, being able to judge situations based on team strengths, and there must be team cohesion. If the shot caller makes a call and nobody follows it, then you will never know if that call would have worked or not. The team has to trust the shot callers judgement. That said, the shot caller should not be the only person providing information. Your team should be telling you things like "Flash is up", "Top no summs", "I am huge right now", etc... Shot callers are very good for having a default leader for when situations arise. Just took towers and half the team is wandering around? Shot caller give us your guidance. What is our plan leader? The enemy trying to pressure an objective? How do we react? What do we do? Tell us shot caller. Also, record your games. It is easy for teams to get distracted and side tracked debating what play should have been made, what could have been done, etc... This all isn't really important during the game. If the enemy team got dragon then they got dragon. Figuring out the perfect play does not erase that fact. Plan accordingly. Helpful input on how to deal with the situation going forward is good, but discussing what micro play went wrong letting the enemy take dragon (or whatever is being debated) can be saved for the review. Gameplay reviews are a great time for everyone to be heard. This is also a good time to call out when bad shot calls were made. The important thing is that the team focus on the game and follow whoever they designate as shot caller. If the person has made a series of bad calls and isn't really good at shot calling then fine! You can figure this out in reviews and then a new shot caller that the team still trusts to follow can give it a try. **To push or not to push** I have a general rule for bot lane. Generally I do this : 1. Let the ADC/Marksman control the wave 2. Let the support control the engages/aggression. Your adc should be able to control the wave. They can just last hit, they can continuously auto attack to push, etc... You mention that your team is bronze/silver. If your adc cannot control the wave **they need to learn how to in order to improve**. Also, if your adc needs help pushing the wave (maybe they want to push and go back to buy) on voice comms they can just tell you to help them push. Solo queue they can also ping the turret so you know to hard push. Remember that if you do end up taking farm it is not a huge deal unless your adc says something like "I need all of these minions to get my (insert item X)". But the main point of pushing to go back is so that the wave will reset. Don't just steal the last hits from your adc, but the idea is to push the lane as fast as you can and get home. As you both improve you will be able to do this fast AND not miss farm while doing it. So in a pre-made, have the adc tell you when they need help pushing. As for when to push, it really depends. You have to think about what pushing and wave control accomplish. A few basics: **pushing** forces the opponents under turret. This is usually done in the hopes that the enemy adc will miss lots of cs. This works really well at lower levels, but part of being an adc is learning how to last hit under turret. The other reason is so that your jungler can assist in diving the enemy under their turret. This is usually done by building up a large wave and then pushing fast to the enemy turret. This makes it hard for the opponents to fight back, as they will draw aggro from this huge minion wave. **freezing** Freezing a minion wave is locking the wave in a position so that the enemy wave has more creeps than your incoming wave, meaning it will kill your wave faster, meaning your wave will no longer push towards their turret. Generally you try to freeze the wave just outside of your turret so that you can safely farm the enemy wave. The downside to this is that if the enemy is stronger it is easy for the enemy to break the freeze and force the wave into your turret. This also makes you a potential dive target. **zoning** Zoning is done as a more controlled way to try and punish the enemy. Zoning an enemy means trying to keep them out of experience and farming range. Usually this is done by placing the support and adc between the minions and the enemy laners. This is generally done when you have a decent item or health advantage. The second advantage to this is that is gives you a good chance to attack the enemy if they try to compete for farm, giving you a chance to kill them without having to have the jungler come dive. The disadvantage is that this leaves you in a spot where you can be vulnerable to a gank, although the enemy lane should not be strong enough to contest you so you should only be in the position where you have to back off instead of getting killed in a gank. These are very basics to wave control and laning, but they should give you (and your lanemate) a basis for knowing what to do with the wave based on how you want to combat your opponents. Hope this makes sense / helps!

: The thing with {{champion:157}} is that you can either have a really good game, or a really bad one, which for me kinda spells balance... it all depends in how you play him, cause it can definitely lean to either side. Reason why I don't think/feel he is getting a nerf (nor he needs one)
I agree 100%. I feel bad for Yasuos on the enemy team when im jungling because I make it a personal mission to shut him down as hard as possible. I played a game as WW, with a wyndra playing mid on my team. I had her 5/0 at 12 mins. That poor yasuo, i wanted to send him a message sayin its only business.

I really really like this. I tend to mute players often and having more detailed pings would be great. In fact one of the best games Ive played in recent memory I dont think anything past "nice skins" was said in chat. It was quiet, clean and there were a lot of pings and they were clean pings! it was always a double ping, and lots of im "omws" and "enemy missing", double pings when enemy jungler poked his head out. It really really was an enjoyable game.

: [POLL] Ashe: Balanced, underpowered, or overpowered?
Ashe is my favorite ADC so far. Her Ult brings a fat pile of CC to a team fight or is perfect for catching some one out of position. I tend to build a {{item:3142}} on her because it helps her absolutely melt a tower and mixed with a {{item:3072}} gives her a fair amount of dueling potential. Because of her kit design you will end up with more assists than kills come mid-late game. But to me winning is winning. I can still feel like im contributing if I go 3/2/15 instead of 15/2/3. I see how much dmg im putting down, what my slows are doing and how fast im melting single targets/towers. Give me a {{champion:201}} or a {{champion:89}} in that bot lane with me? TASTY.
