The white armour plating makes them look more like Program skins than Project, and it seems pretty clear that these are all intended to be "Project", including Warwick. It just doesn't make sense for those skins to share such similarities with their enemies.
Exactly, worse part is, they’re supposed to be designed as PROJECT corporation’s defective projects, outcasts, yet the white makes them look cleaner and more neat compared to the previous PROJECT skins. It just doesn’t fit. I’m baffled these issues aren’t raised when they design these skins.

: Because two very similar skins with some recolors require a lot less work than two completely separate skins. I know it sucks, but let's just hope Diana will receive Solar/Lunar Eclipse skins too at some point in the future.
thats the shittiest excuse I've ever heard, but if they give Diana Solar/Lunar Eclipse skins as well then I guess I wouldn't be so mad, just seems very unlikely seeing as not a lot of people are into the coven skin-line.

Honestly her ult should've been some form of execute like {{champion:238}} or {{champion:157}} but instead it's this awkward excessively large aoe knockback that only deals significant damage at river, a bush or against a wall. She really doesn't feel like an assassin at all and it's quite disappointing imo.

: Why did riot have to Choose that name for the area? It is way too similar to Ixalan, Which is also a Jungle area with an incredibly powerful Relic hidden within.
: Riot, if you're not going to put all the effort into updating old skins to match their price...
If I could upvote twice, I would. It's strange because we see all of the recent skins/skin-lines being released and its pretty evident how they're setting the bar up significantly high for themselves, I mean homeguard effects on epic skins were unthought-of a couple of seasons ago but are now a staple in epic skins today **at the same price**. It's crazy how (and I'm sorry for saying it) utterly lazy these rioters are with these reworked skins. Birdio was a 975 skin, Blood Moon Evelynn was a 975 skin, all of which have unique VFX and recalls. Heck, the Riot Kayle had her own unique VFX and recall, yet after they reworked her, all they did was re-color her base VFX (as you've stated, after public outcry), and worse of all, used the same base recall but with added drones. I whole-heartedly agree, this is completely unacceptable, and quite frankly very embarrassing on their part.

I sort of have a feeling that this new champ sort of has the ability to control his/her enemies, it would be such a crazy insane broken mechanic in the game but that's the sort of vibes I'm getting from these images. I hope they don't make it so that they have the ability to use the enemy champion's ult because that's pretty bs if you ask me. Also, does anyone mind telling me which Rioter's designing the new champ? uwu

"wtf riot is making League a game for 5 year olds, first Zoe now this disgrace." yeah lets just forget that the last champion was a bloodthirsty ghostly serial killer based on shoving harpoons up of people's asses and drowning them, that we've had a recent rework of a dark demoness with planets for an ass and tits who's been described to have ripped arms off of people, and that we also have the bloody meat grinding urgot ult in game. You design two champions designed to be 'cute' and 'kiddish' and everyone starts ranting about how this game is becoming the nickelodeon of video games. I personally enjoy the new Willump, Idk about you guys but having every champion be this badass edgy world-ending sign of the apocalypse is becoming pretty stale and outright over-used.
: > I'm certain this was one idea already pitched in the office, When people were throwing ideas around for defining, large, landmarks for the various areas, Galio _definitely_ came up. The hiccough was that it created some confusion about how we'd go about making a landmark, that was _also_ a champion, with regards the user experience. (Clicking the buttons, future searchability, etc.) We've not given up on it yet, but it wasn't something that we felt was fair to devote resources to solving at the expense of getting the map out in a usable state slightly sooner. This is a good thread for it though - what OTHER landmarks would people like to see?
Are you guys looking to further improve and develop the Runeterra Map's user experience? What I mean by this is adding more 3D landmarks, or letting us zoom over buiildings such as Demacia's capital, the Immortal Bastion, or Piltover/Zaun, sort of like the 3D view on google maps, like we'd get to see tiny models of people walking in and out of building and such. I feel like this would make exploring the map feel so much more immersive and captivating and it'd give players a reason to really take time to appreciate Runeterra's design. It'd be very difficult to pull off I assume, but it would really make the map feel more alive and **real**.
: Off the top of my head? Omikayalan, the sacred grove from Ivern's story as well as the Garden of Forgetting from Ahri's would both be great additions to Ionia. I believe Bard's mountain is missing, and the Tomb of Ne'Zuk (Where Ezreal got his gauntlet) is as well. Seeing Syndra's floating fortress moving around similar to how Bandle city does would also be pretty neat. In general I think it would be great to be able to see all the places that are tied to central stories/media, especially if they linked to them, although I can understand how much that would clutter the map. With clutter in mind I would really like to see the places from champion stories that are only partially explained, but with more detail when you click on them. The Garden of Forgetting being a perfect example. I would love to be able to click on it and get some more history/detail and perhaps some images of it too.
SYNDRA'S FORTRESS! Oh my god! I can't believe they overlooked this epic landmark!

: Hi Dynnaerius, I just wanted you to know how wonderful it was to see this. Narrative happened to have a meeting today that got all of us together in one place at the same time (a fair feat as wrangling writers and editors is like trying to put a herd of cats in an open box). I was so touched by your words, that I printed this post out and read it aloud to our whole discipline. Thank you for the reminder that what we do is important and has meaning. Thank you for the inspiration to keep going. With gratitude, Ariel
_I have no words. _ Okay, I'm lying, I **do** have a few: First of all, I honestly just feel so honored that you guys even read this, this was sort of just targeted to players who choose to under-appreciate the lore behind this game, I didn't really think that you guys would give it attention, but you did and I'm just so mind-blown and so, so very thankful. It's one thing to feel touched by what I've written, and it's another to have you feel inspired to print it out and share it to your Narrative teams. I feel very, very proud to have affected you guys in this way, to have elicited these kind responses, I can't say it enough: I feel very proud. I just really wanted you guys to know that under all the criticism that's evident in these boards, there are still a whole lot of players (a whole lot) who highly appreciate the work you guys have done, people who think that what YOU do is the actual driving force for them to get into queue. **You guys, the Narrative Team, shape League of Legends just as much as gameplay updates and balance fixes do.** Keep making Runeterra a better place for your players to escape to. My few words. _Cheers._
: Thank you for your support! Players like you make me feel honored to be a part of Narrative! There is so much more we can improve, and reading your words warms my heart. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
You're very welcome! Honestly it should be us thanking you guys, you make the game feel so much more than just an actual game. We all know you guys could be using resources for other projects but the amount of work and effort that goes behind building Runeterra and its history is honestly just so overwhelming and we can't thank you guys enough for it. For a game like League of Legends, it'd be easy to just half-ass its lore and call it a day but you guys have pushed to make it feel like an enitre world us players can escape to, and that's got to be one of the most inspiring things about it. **Keep making Runeterra a better place!**

: What are these runes Ryze talks about?
So apparently (I'm not sure if this was retconned) but at the peak of the very beginning of Runeterra, powerful magic had to be used in order to shape and alter its landscape [we're not told by who or what, I assume Brandon Beck and Marc Merill], powerful magics that were concentrated in tangible stones called 'World Runes'. Throughout Runeterran history, major civilizations began to discover these World Runes and decided to use them against other neighboring nations. Some World Runes could forge mountains, others channeled oceans, point is, these runes were then weaponized in order to push political agendas. After the Rune Wars, Ryze decided to search and collect for these runes using only a map given by his predecessor, and hide them from mortal hands. Obviously handling such powers alter human physiology, hence Ryze's blue skin and his longevity. So yeah, they're practically infinity stones.

Uh, first of all champion lore get reworked every time new content comes out to make their stories more cohesive. Lux's biography today isn't the same as her biography upon her release, so little tidbits and details in champion bios always get shifted around or changed. About Vi being Jinx's sister (?), I'm not quite sure about that but you're going to have to wait until the Zaun stories/lore get updated to see if your speculations are true. And about who Ezreal is dating, no one canonically, I presume, and the Taric x Ezreal thing was a meme dude lmao, you can't possibly think that Taric, an avatar of a cosmic aspect of Targon, would stoop down to date some teenage Piltie.

Furthermore, I don't get why you're hauling Xerath into all of this, he isn't even a proper ascended, he's a Baccai. Have you read Aatrox's new lore? He didn't come out of the ground as a full Darkin. He spent, who knows how long, just being used as a common sword. Maybe Ta'anari just hasn't murdered enough. I mean, Sivir did butcher that guy who thought he was related to Azir... and his entire army, but that's like, at least, 20 guys. And she did it, like in a trance or something, like she was possessed. Super weird. > Again, Ta'anari was killed and he isn't a Darkin weapon. About Kayle and Morgana being hauled into Darkin territory, it hasn't been announced if Kayle and Morgana are indeed Demacian, nor Darkin for that matter. Personally, I'll say that maybe Kayle might indeed be the golden armored queen, and that maybe Morgana is a baccai, but those are all pretty far stretches if I'll say so myself. Then why would they defect from Shurima and become Demacians? > Now listen here: Morgana and Kayle are not going to be the 'Scales of Justice' that you so meticulously explained. Why? Because they are two completely separate champions with very distinct ability archetypes: Morgana uses black magic and Kayle uses some form of holy magic which she channels through a fiery blade. These sets of abilities don't and won't fit into this 'Darkin Scale' thing you've got going, because the disconnect between the concept of two rivaling sisters and Darkin sisters trapped inside a scale is way too much of a stretch and is way too vast for Riot to even consider. I mean how would both Kayle and Morgana even exist if they're both stuck in one weapon? It just doesn't make sense. Think about it. What? Morgana has 1 skill shot, everything else is a targeted ability that effects the ground, allies, or everything around her. Like, imagine Abathur, but it's Morgana's abilities coming out of Kayle. Also, they wouldn't be in 1 body, like when Rhaast takes over Kayn, Kayn goes away. So instead of Kayle and Morgana bickering, it would be a pair of female Darkin voices who just love murdering. Besides, they don't actually have to fuse to be the Darkin scales... although, with Riot giving Darkin the ability to fuse bodies together, it is a pretty obvious loaded gun for Riot to pull in the third act of the Darkin narrative they are painting. > ALSO: Naganeka is not Valeeva's sister and the meaning of their names have nothing to do with each other. Also, I'm going to have to question the validity of these latin translations you're making up. Anyway, Valeeva is Varus' sister since in the 'Twilight of the Gods' short story, it was said that her brother was an ascended who fought for the sole purpose of vengeance (A.K.A: Varus, The Arrow of **Retribution**) I mean, they are sisters in chains. I have no real idea on their biology, but they are close enough to be sisters. Val, is the Latin root word for strength. Valor, Victory, Validus. Nak/Nek(Nequ) is the Latin root word for bad. And it being a repeating phrase is a Latin thing that emphasizes something, so for instance Nequitia Nequities means wickedness and worthlessness. Negotium means pain, or burden. You could do this with most champion, and all the Darkin. Aatrox is... Atrox, which means cruel, horror, like atrocity. Varus means an inward curve... like a bow. Rhaast is actually closest to the Latin word for Rhetoric, like a teacher, since his relationship with Kayn and all. But yeah, no doubt, Valeeva is strong, Naganeka is bad. > You gotta read this stuff if you want actual fruitful conversations about lore, dude. No offense dude but there's quite a disconnect with what you're stating and what every other lore fanatic reads in the stories. What's the disconnect?
Hahaha, I'm just gonna, you know, not waste energy making another fruitless counter argument, this is just gonna end up being a 'what if it is/what if it isn't' kind of argument. But anyway, you seem very, very, very invested in your theory and I guess I admire that so good luck on the boards, buddy! I really do suggest you actually read more content on the universe, it'll help you on your lore knowledge for sure :)

: Ta'anari was blasted with the moon magic of the crossblade and was turned back into a human, then his heart was ripped out, and forged into the crossblade. I'm saying, that if you want to do that ritual to an Ascended like Xerath, you could only do it by turning him back into a human, can't exactly forge lightning into a sword. And if Ta'anari was no longer a Darkin when his heart was ripped out and forged into the crossblade... why was a normal human heart forged into the crossblade? The "sources" of Kayle wielding the Darkin Scales are: 1. Aatrox's voice lines of her not deserving of her Ascension. 2. Darkin being found in all of the major providences of Runeterra; Varus was in a well beneath Ionia, Rhaast was unearthed from beneath Noxus, Ta'anari was sealed beneath Shurima, Aatrox waged countless wars in the Freljords, all that leaves is Demacia. 3. Kayle being a loyal Demacian, wearing their most sacred of armors, as scene by the Kayle look-alike carved into their temple of the Lightbringers... Unless it is Kayle. 4. Darkin are allegorical to the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the only remaining horsemen wields a scale and is the bringer of justice to the weak and the bringer of famine to the strong. Unless you subscribe to Jesus being a horsemen, because we already have a champion who throws around magic crosses, who's weapon holds a Darkin, and she was already betrayed, killed, and resurrected. So that's a thing. 5. Valeeva is the Darkin from the Twilight of the Gods story, and her name is Latin for strong. Her sister being named Naganeka, which is Latin for weakness and wickedness. Much like the relationship Kayle and Morgana have. 6. Scales tend to come is pairs, much like a pair of pants. What is a pant? I do not know, but Kayle comes with Morgana. 7. Wait.. there's one more... the.. the golden armored warrior queen. Kayle wears gold armor... This one I will admit is pretty weak.
First of all, the chalicar isn't a darkin weapon. Ta'anari's heart wasn't forged into the chalicar Miysha just gave it to Idri-Mi to hold on to as well as the chalicar itself. If the chalicar was a darkin weapon, which it isn't, then wouldn't you think that Ta'anari would've already consumed Sivir's body and roamed Runeterra seeking revenge?
