: The game mode is All Random All Mid, not Mostly Random All Mid. A ban feature implemented champions such as Ziggs and Veigar, as well as several others, would never see game play due to them being banned every match.. least from what I had seen while playing the bilgewater mode.
It never has been as 'All Random' as you claim. Understand what an ARAM account does?

Like Ahri, I barely play her, other than in ARAM's and I own 4 of her most expensive best skins, and I get offered the ugly Foxfire skin. Bride and groom skins right....tux with tails for him and gown with veil for her to keep the feather wing things....or switch, she kinda wears the pants.... Tango skins Halloween couples costume(one that's actually good, most are horrible) Ugly Holiday sweater skin. Shakespeare skins doesn't have to be R/J but something like that, maybe from Tempest. Waiter Xayah and Dessert Chef Rakan, grumpy waitress and flamboyant chef, *couples cooking comments. Classic buddy cop duo, add 80s movie dialog. Gym Buddy skins, Really want this one. 'Crossfit' Xayah, never shuts up about 'crossfit'. Workout video Rakan, cheers you on to work out but barely breaks a sweat. Duo tp is a pushup contest. Also add VO for the lines, "Iloveyou/Iknow" and wife wants Rakan to say "As you wish." : They need to remove the IP cost of Runes. simply make all of them available from lvl 1, and have runes scale with summoner level. so the runes would be weak at lvl 1, and full power at lvl 30.
I think the one rune slot per level makes the runes plenty weak enough at low level. A linear progression like this is simple and effective; it's the tiers that are unnecessary.
: http://www.op.gg/champion/renekton/statistics/top Only 21% of all renektons in NA bring thunderlords, 17% in korea. Bringing it on top laners is more situational than it is meta. Some top laners just want to 100-0 early levels with a feast or famine playstyle, others want to actually stay in lane and deal more damage to more than one single target or stay healthier. Renekton top lane is better off without TL but its a viable option some people with overly aggressively playstyles prefer it so they can snowball harder. You also miss out on recovery from the resolve tree if you go TLD or damage from ferocity, so its a double edged sword going TLD, more sudden burst for less actual damage and less lane substain, or more substain and more damage over time with fervor.
> Some top laners just want to 100-0 early levels with a feast or famine playstyle, others want to actually stay in lane and deal more damage to more than one single target or stay healthier. And that's how it should be.

: Weighing late-game supremacy over early-game power spikes has always been the tough call of playing Veigar, trudging through miles of muck and farm with the comforting thought of murdering everyone later on. This dark patience, this savage restraint has always been the core of Veigar's identity to me, being small and helpless but dripping with sadistic glee as the game turns from "Target the squishy mage!" to "OH F*** RUN!!" The satisfaction of turning a bleak game around, leaving both teams agape with awe at the sudden brutality with which Veigar blossoms, is my favorite thing about League. I've been playing Veigar since adc mids stopped being a thing in season 1-2. Not many people played Veigar; it was tough against the increasing number of mids with 2+ dashes and early-game power. You had to be _really good_ just to survive.. but you were rewarded in the end. But people aren't patient. People aren't willing to humbly take their bruises as the darkness grows within them. People want power, _now_. So Veigar sat in the back of the class, and Riot took notice. A buff here, a tweak there, subtle changes to most... but for Veigar players, the loyal ones, occasion to laugh maniacally. Those who took the time to hone their Veigar skill were already good enough, and with each pittance the entire curve shifted upward. Now, though... The darkness has been brought to light. For the first time in years, Veigar's made it to the ban list. People fumble through games with the Tiny Master of Evil and accidentally unlock what was once a hidden potential. There is no patience, there is no sacrifice, there is no evil behind the glossy eyes of these porcelain children hopping, skipping, and jumping into what was once a real accomplishment... There is only power, free and accessible, with no trade-off or strategy. The Tiny Master of Evil is now none of these things.
I don't necessarily agree with you, but your story is amazing.

If you think of remounting Skaarl as health restoration, then max health and health regen matter not. Just get Skaarl back ASAP, problem solved.
: Champion Q&A: Taliyah, the Stoneweaver
1) Is Taliyah's E - Unraveled Earth arranged in a grid to symbolize/resemble the weave of a piece of cloth? I was thinking at first that the grid looks very non-rocky and unnatural, but basing it off of cloth makes more sense to me. 2) When in development was it decided to link her to a sparrow? Was that a spur-of-the-moment narrative decision?

I just think it looks ugly. The uniform rows look very... unnatural. Not like rock at all. Would look more attractive if the field expanded in curving arcs rather than straight rows. I was expecting to see the "Grounded" effect, but this also works to deny enemy mobility.

: So AoE poison mage with an ap-auto-attack-like ability for clean-up, 1v1, kite. A.K.A fun.
Maybe give a speed boost when landing Twin Fang on a poisoned target. Trade some raw damage for utility. While we're taking damage away, we might as well put its mana replenishment component elsewhere. Also raise its lower level cooldowns. The temporary stack-up of Deadly Cadence seemed like a good passive, but maybe have each stack boost Cass's AP or total damage instead of reduce mana costs. Then as others said, make it dependent on hitting targets with spells or keeping them poisoned. Maybe add one every second a target is poisoned.
: Are there specific issues with it that need fixing? Please share!
Cass's LoL Wiki page gives some details on how Petrifying Gaze judges the direction targets are facing.

: Mid-Year Mage Update
I'm curious why Vladimir isn't appearing in the comments. I don't have a whole lot of experience with him, but I enjoy playing as Vladimir. 1.) I think Vlad's most core idea is the feeling of taking the life force of my enemies and using it against them. As a Blood Mage, he manipulates both his own blood (I guess Vlad has blood) and the blood of his enemies. From a gameplay perspective, to me that means Spell Vamp is his primary stat - perhaps that could become more key or pronounced - and his abilities should all manipulate the Health of himself and his enemies - perhaps even that of his allies!!!! His abilities costing Health instead of Mana and having great sustain through self-healing/Spell Vamp are some of the most unique aspects of Vlad. 2.) An issue I have playing as Vladimir is that he doesn't interact well with his own team. He can initiate fights, and is good at keeping himself alive through them while dealing tons of damage, but not much else. His slow is only good for protecting himself, and while his ultimate technically boosts his whole team's damage, I often don't notice the difference. Some new and altered items could help him with this. I feel like Hemoplague fits poorly with Vlad's theme. I think the idea is to turn his enemies' own blood against them, but I don't get that feeling from it. It seems more like a quick assassination/burst ability. Other than that, Vladimir has a lot of cool features and considerations built into him already. With a total lack of Mana, scaling his Ability Power and Health together help make his itemization more engaging and supports his sustained tanky mage role. I like how Tides of Blood accelerates his self-healing, Spell Vamp, and sustained damage, all key features of Vlad. Transfusion is his most iconic ability; the range on these 2 abilities emphasize kiting and sustained poking.
LightTrack (EUNE)
: Do clarify.
I'm sorry I didn't see this until now to respond. I rarely sign into the League website. So, to start with, if I was targeted by this ability, Poppy already has a huge damage bonus against me. Unless I have some advantage to balance that out, I would not want to engage in battle. She's a huge threat, so I'd throw everything I've got into either running away or bursting her down. Poppy had a hefty amount of burst herself along with a talent for surviving bursts, so that option was usually the wrong choice. Not a good situation for a duel at all. But that's just the beginning. Not only did Poppy have a big advantage against her target, but she was completely immune to all attacks and CC from her target's teammates, while being totally free to attack them at will. The enemy team had two choices: run away, or get walloped by Poppy. Arguably, most other champions were more dangerous than Poppy, but she was intentionally balanced that way due to this one ultimate. The power to force the entire enemy team off of a zone or objective was too immense to allow Poppy to have decent base level of power. It was never "1v1 me bruh", it was "1v5 me bruhs, but just 1 of yuhs gets ta hit meh back". For _8 seconds_.

: I think the best part about this, is that he actually does ninja things now.
When I heard of a Shen update, I was thinking of evasion tanking. Glad to see he has a bit of that now, as well as requiring movement and positioning to activate his damage absorption shield. In my ideal world, Shen wouldn't have an absorption shield at all, but I think this is the next best thing. I'll see how this plays.
AceGeo (NA)
: "We should be able to see into his head." I agree, just like how only the summoner is able to hear {{champion:37}} . When I first learned that I was the only one that could hear her, I completely melted. I want that same crazy feeling with Jhin, where I can see inside his mind. It's the greatest thing in all of imagination to see someone's dream or vision; I've dreamt of such a machine that would allow us to see others' dreams since I was little.
I think it's not as hard to see someone else's dreams and desires as you think. If you can empathize with someone, share what he/she is feeling right at that moment, you've already come a long way. But you must be humble enough to allow yourself to attune to the other person. When you are feeling, to exactness, what the other person is feeling, all the bad and good, then you can experiment to find out what sorts of things generate that feeling in the other person.
: Yea, which seems ripped straight off of reworked Fiora Ult. The ult zone is straight from MF, the smoke canister is a bouncing Graves canister (along with teh reloading mechanic), the W is just a Jinx skill and his third ability is just a Cait trap with a Karma empowered Q zone. For something supposedly artistic and unique, he seems mostly just a hodge podge of existing things. Even his playstyle seems like you would just hover between MF and Cait styles of engagement.
Champions don't actually need to be unique, though. They just have to be interesting. New things are interesting, but in the case of this champion, I'm getting a message from Riot, a slap in the face even, that we haven't been taking the game itself as a form of art seriously enough. If the abilities from other champions have been reused into this champion, then according to Riot (or Gypsylord) we haven't been seeing other champions for the opportunities they provide us, like we should. Other champions already have mechanics that allow players to play creatively. To me, that reminder is purpose enough for this champion.
: honestly, I'm really... disappointed with this champion reveal. from the teasers and trailer, I expected a champion with a really unique aesthetic. abilities, I didn't too much concern myself with, but the particles and appearance of the champion were what I was most excited for. where are the blossoms? ashes? roses? butterflies, smoke, and trees? I get that it might all be in his head, and in reality is blood and gore and death, but... at least the player should be able to see these things, then? and enemies/maybe allies see something different? I just think his Q should have smokier particles with butterflies on the last hit. his root from his W should have the tree. his E should look... way more rosey, his crits would look well with the burning rose effect, and perhaps his ult should have the diamond aesthetic. but that's just me. from the hype and the trailer this release is incredibly underwhelming. the teasers and the champion himself just feel too disconnected. this champion wasn't what I was excited for.
I think the designer did a good job of blending together mechanics as metaphor. Gameplay that allows players to make their own art. I know people will bark and howl about how "he's not unique", but since when have the methods and theory of painting, music, and such been new or unusual? Some methods are already in other champions. Here, Riot has taken those methods and told us, "Hey, you can be artistic too if you use these things properly." Personally I am extremely excited to see some of the crazy plays this guy can make.
: When I saw the teaser for this champion, it was the most excited I'd been since the release of Jinx. No champion has had me more excited and I'd been waiting forever just to see how he'd be in League. I'd read anything and everything and came up with theories as well. Imagine the excitement when they finally release his abilities and whatnot! I'm sad to say that I was severely disappointed by what they created. I don't know what to think. A marksman that could've been something different and beautiful but instead he seems... Lacking. His abilities don't portray what they lead me to believe based on the teasers. They all seem generic and the same. Purple and boring. The way they captivated me with the art and video was beautiful with color but he seems bland. I can understand the Champion themselves being bland but his kills are supposed to be artistic and captivating. I don't feel it or see it. Sure maybe he sees it but there is no hint in his abilities as to how he creates these scenes. The least they could have done was give him an ability that burns the enemy or catches them on fire to capture the idea of burning roses like in his video. It's just my opinion but the champion and their abilities do not portray what I was lead to believe. He does not portray art.
He doesn't need to portray art. Not in the sense of pictures and sound. Recall that League of Legends is a game. Games are a unique form of art in which the art is built from interactivity and action. Making art out of what you _DO_. The question you should ask is not, "What part of this character looks or sounds artistic?", but rather, "When I play as this champion, does he have what I need to portray art?" Now, from this perspective, many other champions already allow players to portray art in their gameplay. I think {{champion:61}} is a good example of this, but not {{champion:37}}. If aspects of other champions are what players need in order to portray art in gameplay, then those are exactly what this champion needs. The champion's designer is clearly trying to demonstrate mechanics as metaphor, and nobody's getting it.

Rhykes (NA)
: I find it rather odd that there's almost nothing "artistic" about his playstyle, his kit, appearance, or graphics. I'm assuming he has unique taunt interactions with a few champions, but beyond that, the teaser seems... amazing but totally irrelevant. I don't see why they didn't add something like getting a Killing Blow with an R bullet summons a tree on the enemy's corpse that grants a small amount of vision and slows around them for a couple seconds. It would be more unique than yet another super-long range skillshot ult, and would help tie the teaser with the champion more. Disappointed, but at least he looks more engaging than other marksmen... not that that is particularly hard to do.
If this champion did some visual effect with an ability, that would mean _Riot_ is the one being artistic, not you. And not Jhin.
: Champion Reveal: Jhin, the Virtuoso
I think the key idea of his 'artistic' kills is patiently synchronizing his various abilities together into a burst. To all you guys saying there's no art in this champion, there's really no point for a _champion_ to be artistic. All champions themselves are art to some degree. What matters is whether the champion has fair tools and enough of them to let _players_ be artistic. I'm glad you guys draw, paint, and play music instead of design games. You can go fulfill your beauty and glamor with those.
: Yes, we all know what the BS excuse behind her ult is. She stabs you in your weak spots. So she stabs you in a weak spot and it... goes away. Her blade has STRENGTHENED you by taking away that weak spot. Ruthlessly hammering a weakness is for chumps. Fiora politely warns you where your weakest points are, and if you don't protect them, she lunges in and pokes you there, which makes them go away. She's like Illaoi... teaching you to keep your guard up. Then if you die while she's teaching you... you explode into a huge circle of healing goo that her team rubs all over themselves. Because when I think "duelist" I most definitely think of a huge, healing circle on the ground. Seems legit.
Interesting perspective... so what if the weak points _didn't_ go away immediately? So striking these points gives Fiora something like a heal over time or a stacking damage buff for herself. Her ult would be impactful just by surrounding the target with weak points, benefiting Fiora only, not her team, highlighting that she conducts battle 1 on 1, with assassination possibilities. That sounds to me like unfair RNG gameplay, but what kind of duelist wins by playing fairly?

It's because she used to be a Megling. Just kidding, that's probably not the reason (that race is long extinct), but remember that this update is the first time Poppy has had fur.
