: Riot's New Logo - I actually like it
It would appear the number of people who like it outnumber the people who dislike it, but those who dislike it are more vocal. People who like it tend to just go on with their lives. Interesting. Most of the people who dislike are apparently professional graphic designers with many opinions on how a logo should look having studied marketing and design their whole lives. Cringe.

: i think the armor is just kayle’s choice. she can do what she wants because she’s an aspect of justice, same with the other aspects. they get to do what they want and wear what they want. leona wants to wear armor, zoe wants to wear whatever, pantheon wants to wear armor, diana wants to wear whatever.
Not exactly, it's whatever the *designers* want them to wear. Leona would totally "want" to wear more armor if they just put more armor on her, you feel me? The characters don't choose their armor, the artists do.

: Agreed, the folks working on that skin nailed it IMO.
They did an excellent job. I haven't enjoyed a skin thematic this much since Spirit Fire Brand (and his little tiki demons).

: The two are related, though not in the ways you might think. Some of the team working on the new skin actually helped out with some of the art for the new passive for the other skins as well. We weren't on track to ship the passive change for 8.23 otherwise, so really grateful they jumped in even though it's not their area of responsibility and they've got a lot of other work to do too.
They did a great job. Thanks for keeping at it and pushing to get this done! I enjoy playing Lissandra and this opens a lot of avenues for new kinds of play. Any way we could thank the people who worked on her?

: "Skystrike now applies her Harrier mark to all enemy champions hit"
I'm aware, just said I thought it would be interesting. Guess I didn't phrase the sentence clearly enough.
: Quinn Changes Coming Soon - Strike from the Sky!
If she had a tool to use while with Valor, that would be great. Right now, Valor feels kind of useless. Maybe marking every enemy hit with the ult AoE with a mark would be interesting. It wouldn't increase her power but would give her options. Plus, her ult would feel more like an ult. Also, perhaps change Harrier's damage being modified by crit to something like Ashe/Hecarim and allow for bonus AD values based on movespeed since being a speedster is now pretty synonymous with Quinn. This would open up different Rune builds as well as creating unique item builds and thus truly giving her an identity she can truly claim as her own. Yeah, we don't want to take too much from Hecarim so I think leaving any additional AD just on her passive is a good balance. I like Quinn a lot so I'm always excited to see Riot still thinking about her.
: > One of the memories he clung to was teaching his son to use a bow. Memories of his family. This was not canon, there is no reference to his son and teaching him how to use a bow in the 1st iteration or when the the league was a thing. This is the issue with Fanon vs. Canon. While I love that people can make their own relationships and connections to the champions, they can make false and untrue statements and believe them to be fact. The "duty over family" thing is a great trope and while it will be missed, it was very straightforward and even tho it could have been expanded on, this new story allows for so much more. Most of the paths have been set up already; the female darkin, the fiery red-headed woman in gold armour, the family of Val and, Darkin in Shurima. Not to mention this story finally allows LGBTQ+ players to finally feel as though they have some form of real representation (without having to be stereotypical (AoTFA Taric) or fanon). You may not agree with the last one but it is important and players want to be represented. This is a Galio situation. Riot has taken the basic and most primal traits of Varus's old outdated lore and has transformed it into something that I would argue, is deep and gives the physical body of "Varus" more character (literally). The only thing I wish would have happened is more info on Kai and Val before they jumped right into it.
It was in the old lore. I suggest reading it, it's pretty good.

: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: July 25
League already has a vast selection on personalities from Brand's attitude towards the world (seeking vengeance, although we don't know why exactly he's this way) to Viktor's superiority, finding new personalities is difficult. However, we don't have to completely recreate the wheel here. Aurelion Sol has almost the same personality as Viktor, Viktor just seeks to create perfection while Aurelion believes (although I think it's mostly sarcasm) that he IS perfection. They both act superior and they both see mortals as beneath them. It's alright to take existing personalities and tweak them to fix a character. However, in terms of "new" personalities, I don't think we've had a reluctant vigilante. What I mean by this is we've got all sorts of champs with power and they're always so obsessed with either controlling or gaining more power. We don't have any champs who look upon their power with distaste. Maybe {{champion:110}} or {{champion:38}}, but they don't entirely fit. We don't have a champion who was bestowed special abilities he/she didn't want (I mean, there was {{champion:19}}, but he's kind of a different case since he thrives in his new form now). Maybe {{champion:32}}, but he's his own character entirely. A champion who was given power but doesn't want to use it. However, given the nature of Runeterra, he's forced to use it anyways. A reluctant hero/villain/vigilante.

: Can someone help me learn how to fight against Brand basically anywhere?
Brand is countered by people with longer range than him or people who can get up in his face like: {{champion:103}} {{champion:1}} {{champion:34}} {{champion:81}} {{champion:79}} {{champion:126}} {{champion:121}} {{champion:127}} {{champion:99}} {{champion:76}} {{champion:61}} {{champion:134}} {{champion:91}} {{champion:112}} {{champion:19}} {{champion:110}} {{champion:101}} {{champion:5}} {{champion:115}} {{champion:238}} (Annie is in there for that instant stun, since Brand is squishy as hell) Keep moving, stay behind minions, etc. His stun is still a single-target skill shot that stops at the first target hit. I suggest widening your pool of champions to play around him. There are many more mages (with AoE stuns) that are much worse offenders than Brand. Every champion has their strengths and weaknesses. With Brand, you gotta either out-range him, surprise him, or get in his face. He's entirely combo-based, so dodging/messing up his combo with cc goes a long way since he wastes a lot of mana trying to poke people down.

Since that didn't work for you, reach out to us in a [support ticket](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). We'll look into your specific issue individually to see what's up. We'll get back to you!
Everyone I've played with, myself included, has this issue. We don't really care to much about it, but it's annoying when you're playing with friends (telling jokes and the like during the match) and the **** shows up. Not that big of an issue, though I would like to have it fixed. Thanks!
: This one isn't about Singed, I promise.
: I want to get her but I can't. Don't have the money yet. But she looks pretty cool, and like someone with weaknesses even at lower tiers, unlike Yas or Riven. Those two have the primary low elo weakness of being hard to play, while camille seems like someone who has clearly defined strengths and weaknesses.
See, I think the fact she gets shields AND a heal is a little silly.

In fact, a few of her skins (shorts, cleavage) feel OoC. We do try to create alternative fantasies and designs for characters that can break them out of the mold a bit. Heartseeker Vayne was a bit before my time at Riot, so I don't have much insight as to why she was selected and what the reasoning was in terms of design. :c
Might you consider changing the tights to a design more like this? http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/jakanddaxter/images/7/70/Ashelin_from_Jak_II_concept_art.png/revision/latest?cb=20150310211951 Really the only decent reference I have for the design in mind.

Unfortunately they can't reply to every single comment on here as that would take away time from working on the skin. I've seen some new images on the PBE forums and it's definitely looking better: > > http://i.imgur.com/nHt6NhK.jpg" > > The light pinks are now a deep red which I think makes the skin look so much more like a Heartseeker. They also said they're going to talk about revisiting the design on the tights and are even considering give Valor some armor to match Quinn. > > You can't really say they don't care about our opinions because they've been listening to us and reiterating the whole way through. Give them some time, it's PBE and nothing is set in stone until it's pushed out for release. Yes! We certainly are! ^-^ I'm trying to reply to as much as I can, but I am reading through everything, especially after each PBE update and the changes we've made each day. To give more context and general updates on the skin. * We want to keep the darker color scheme; it's much more in line with the Heartseeker line and has moved away from Star Guardian, as some had suggested. * We are still discussing potential changes for the design on the tights. **Yes, they're tights, not leggings**. Man, I'm bad at wording things. * We considered the armor, but wanted to keep Valor a bit softer and more dove-like, so we've decided against adding it. We're doing our best to accommodate feedback and hear everyone out! Unfortunately, we aren't able to make everyone happy, but we're doing our best to make a skin that feels like a Heartseeker. Valor Bot is correct that nothing is set in stone until release. At this point, we're only looking at texture changes - i.e. the discussion around the tights design.
Might I suggest a change to the tights keeping skin exposed on the outside while cloth on the inside? Yeah, I know it's a little bit awkward to visualize but here me out. I love Quinn, I'd hate to not provide any input on how to at least TRY a fix for her. Remember Ashelin's outfit from Jak 2/3? [You can see it here.](http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/jakanddaxter/images/7/70/Ashelin_from_Jak_II_concept_art.png/revision/latest?cb=20150310211951) http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/jakanddaxter/images/7/70/Ashelin_from_Jak_II_concept_art.png/revision/latest?cb=20150310211951 See how the pants/tights are designed? Cloth on the inside and skin on the outside (with some belts, entirely optional). I think this strikes a good balance between both crowds. At least down to where the leggings used to end. Or maybe even make them a pot of the leggings?

I'm absolutely fine with giving Quinn a fanservicey skin even though it doesn't fit her personality at all, because skins are a good opportunity to explore other views into a character. If we're going to start drawing special standards to make sure that skins are realistic or fit the character, then we might as well throw out most of the skins we've got. > > I mean does it make ANY sense for Udyr the perpetually angry mountain hermit to be wearing a huge bulky animal-theme costume for each of his animal stances? Why would Vi the steampunk smashy-fist fighter be dressed like a warrior from Wu with massive jade gauntlets? I'm going to TL;DR this one because it applies across the board for skins. We create skins that create alternate fantasies for champions, which usually means breaking them from the norm of the base. That said, yes, we didn't want Quinn to be falling out of her top, of having a super deep neckline because it didn't feel appropriate due to her idle stance. And yes, her outfit needed to be a bit more practical because you could clearly see up her skirt in several animations - which also falls under the appropriate category. While Heartseekers can be sexy, they're also classy (See: Heartseeker Ashe)
You're kidding me, right? Tell that to Vayne's fucking LOIN CLOTH. No, this isn't about practicality. Not in this game. It's because a couple people complained about how sexualized it was. The top was fine, she can't actually fall out of it. It's a goddamn videogame. Unless Riot programmed a hidden move that did this, it's NOT an issue. Adding shorts (as suggested by multiple people) is the way to go. I'm not buying a censored skin with changes made because a few people were upset. Ruins the skin.
: I feel the same way. It was different before, when the characters were just enthusiastic about their positions. But Piltover seems to be a land of snobs and pretentious assholes. Here's hoping they keep Jayce a bright, forward thinking-type with a positive attitude and not another cold, dick-like, everyone-else-is-stupid-but-me attitude.
WELL DIDN'T I HIT THE NAIL ON THE FUCKING HEAD WITH THIS ONE. THEY MADE JAYCE A MASSIVE JERK. Seriously, though. I say that coming from miles away. Had to use the "brilliant but pretentious" cliche. Christ.
: Jayce is kind of a dick though isnt he? Didnt he steal from Viktor?
: We currently have a plan on how we're adjusting the top itself. For a bit of context, we wanted the off the shoulder look to lay something where her shoulder armor would normally be, as opposed to leaving her arms completely bare.
I'm afraid I'm with almost everyone else here. I don't like the changes to the tights or her top/cleavage. I used to think the Heartseeker line of skins was Riot not giving a damn about criticism, but this bullspit about changing the outfit to be more "practical" is, well, bullspit. I like Quinn a lot, I find her to be a lot of fun. I hate that her skin is being changed because people don't like thighs or cleavage. From what I'm seeing on the forums, comments, and on twitter, more people liked the skin before the changes. While they mostly welcome the color changes (I've seem a few dislike her hair color, I don't mind it so much), I see a lot of people seeing the changes as "censoring" the skin. It's obvious the majority liked the skin before the tight/cleavage changes. Could you folks consider changing it back? All of her skins have her almost completely covered in armor/leather/fur. This skin was quite refreshing and striking but now especially with the changes to the tights/kneehighs, it's looking rather dull and not as eye-catching.

: I could swear they had a hex-tech car in the story. I think that Piltover would probably never look into the cheap combustibles since they are not as elegant as their hex-tech. Zaun and Noxus on the other hand would definitely be likely to look into that kind of thing since it could be mass produced and doesn't require huge expenses.

: Hiya, ya'll! Sorry to chime in so late on this. We really should've engaged more with you, but we were certainly checking out the feedback. Unfortunately with the timeline (and how hectic things get around the holidays both in terms of personal lives and work--not that this is an excuse for not taking more time to talk to you all), there isn't much we can do in terms of changing the actual skin without introducing serious risks to not only this skin but also to everything else in the patch. All we can do is bug fixes right now. We managed to barely squeeze in some last minute updates to her tether (and mantra'd tether) as well as her shield at least! Hopefully that can make this skin feel even a tiny bit better for you all.
A lot of 1350 skins should be 975, honestly. There isn't a defined barrier between these skins. Sometimes it's animations, other times it's particles, then there are some 975 skins that don't even change the particles. You also have to understand that Order of the Lotus Karma came out before Riot REALLY started pushing towards money-grabbing. Less quality, higher cost, Papa Jo-... Riot Games.
