Actually praising Riot's rules like it's the 10 commandments from God, lmfao. 1. "Special snowflakes". Nice ad hominem. Also, my name is not "Johnny", not even close. Again, stay away from ad hominem, its a clear attempt to goad someone into forgetting the point of the enlargement at best. At least you moved on from dated attempts at personal attacks, so congratulations on that. 2. Its not about the game being winnable. AFKing is against the rules. Playing off meta is not. If Riot followed their own rules, NB3 would have been punished instead of Nubrac. Hypocrisy is unbecoming and unprofessional. 3. He didn't intentionally put his team behind. He got the Irelia mid first blood. That's literally the opposite. 4. Common sense is "we have a gold lead, let's rage quit"? Interesting. This is why the term "common sense" is relative and therefore appeals to it are mreaningless. 5. Again, you fail to establish that the Teemo player was griefing. He helped Irelia get first blood. That's not griefing. In spite of that early lead people chose to AFK anyway, so it was those players who were griefing. 6. "Someone else already stole this bread from the store, so I figured I'd keep it anyway after they got caught." Would that be justified? No, afk'ing isn't justified because someone else did it first. You know what would justify leaving the game? If a member of your family had a stroke and you had to get them to hospital. "He quit so now I wanna quit." That's just childish and selfish. 7. I don't treat anything like it comes from "god". But I do expect that all players should have to follow the same rules I have to follow, which you have to agree to follow before you can finish creating your account. NB3 afk'ing and not getting punished in spite of there being clear footage of him doing so shows Riot blatantly playing favourites. Again, if you had to take someone to hospital, or if you got sick and started puking, something like that would entirely justify going afk. "Someone else did it first" does not.

Maybe non-NA Riven's are just bad? :^)
: One look at the "hot" page shows why Riot will never take these forums seriously
NB3 still afk'd and Riot should punish him and his team mates who did it for doing so. The rules don't say "don't afk UNLESS your team mates do it first" or "don't afk UNLESS you don't like how you team mate is playing". They just say "don't afk". If NB3 is allowed to afk, then I want to be allowed to afk too, and everyone in the community should be. But by all means, quote the actual exceptions in the rules with a link that say afk'ing is allowed if you are busy baby raging about one of your team mates. I'll wait.

Its the same as when a certain Riot member who is no longer there told a certain group of the playerbase to kill themselves in a gross act of hypocrisy. Someone who Riot sided with did something against Riot's own rules (in this case NB3 raged, flamed and afk'd), and now much of the playerbase wants the double standard taken away and for Nightblue3 to be punished for breaking the rules of the game. Seems like Riot could easily stop the barrage of threads by just ending their hypocrisy on the situation and punishing NB3 for afk'ing. It wouldn't even need to be a perma ban or anything, honestly. If they even just chat banned his account (accounts actually, we all know he's got more than one) for a couple weeks I think this would calm down. But because they are treating him with kid gloves while punishing Nubrac (who this isn't about anymore so I wont talk about his punishment) it continues. Riot are doing this to their own boards by refusing to treat Nightblue3 the way they would 99% of the players for doing the exact same thing if they watched it first hand.
: Nightblue and Nubrac had the debate today on Discord
Seems like all NB3 does is talk a lot and really fast to not let Nubrac argue his position. AKA, he's not actually arguing from a strong position, he's just really wordy. If he was forced to pipe down and allow his opposition to argue their point he'd probably start crying.

Spirit Visage is built on so many different champions, even champions without built in sustain who wont be building any sustain items, because it is so cost effective. In fact, if the opponent has magic damage but not anything that is a damage over time style like {{champion:69}} or {{champion:268}} or {{champion:90}}, then its probably better if you need two MR items to get two {{item:3065}} than to get one and also get {{item:3194}}. PekiCodex (EUW)
: Do YOU support non-meta strategies?
The permission thing is bullshit. Nothing in the summoner's code during sign up says that you have to follow the meta, and if you did always have to follow the meta then every game would eventually be the exact same teams of 5 with the exact same pick/ban champions in the exact same lanes building the exact same items. If no one broke the meta ever, think about what would have never happened. Brand and Annie would be played only mid and never support. Taric + Sona bot would never have happened. Lulu would never have been played outside of the support role, Jax would never jungle, Nautilus bot lane wouldn't be played and, in all likelihood, Pyke as a champion wouldn't even exist since the concept of playing an AD assassin support would be just laughed at. Asking for permission from anyone on whether you can break the meta or not is bullshit. All that matters should be that you are actually trying to win. Yes, most of the time that means playing to the meta, since META stands for "most effective tactic available", however that shouldn't even be what we call it. It should be "most effect tactic known", since obviously nobody can actually just know if the current "meta" is actually better than anything else that can be played in the game. No one, not even the most hardcore Korean pros, play the tens of thousands of hours that would be needed to practice EVERY match-up from EVERY side involving EVERY build and leveling path with EVERY possible combination of runes over and over again to determine what is actually the objectively best way to play the game. Also, unless something is actually OP, then despite being meta it has a counter, and if everyone is playing what is meta and you play something that counters it, doesn't that make YOUR strategy the real most effective tactic? By any kind of logic, a meta in any game is either evolving or it is completely stagnant, and it only evolves if people try to find new solutions. And if it is meta because it doesn't have a counter then it is clearly overpowered or outright broken and Riot should nerf it. So fuck asking for permission. Break the meta, just actually try to win while you do it.

: Why does armor feel useless
Because Armor Pen and Lethality items are too broadly useful, and more and more champions are getting True Damage. Conqueror happens to be taken more by AD champions than AP champions, and Black Cleaver to just too good an item in general, though to be fair it props up champions who without it are... lacking in other core item options.
: Is LoL really a team game?
It is a team game, but the fact that it is played over the internet instead of in person allows people to more easily dehumanize others, and allows players who are unsportsmanlike to more safely get away with their shit talk. In League, your team mate dies three times in a row in top, all you see is them dying. In Baseball, your pitcher gives up three home runs in a row, you can see him getting pissed off and frustrated more than anyone else on the team is, and therefore you know he is trying, and its just not working. In League, you call someone trash or tell them to kill themselves, all that person can do to retaliate is block you, mute you, ignore you, report you, or flame you back. In Hockey if you call someone trash or tell them to kill themselves, you might just get punched in the face. The lack of proximity makes it harder to empathize with another player, and easier to treat them poorly knowing that you are safe from potential confrontations. Basically, its the same problem that ANY online team game would have.

Get ready for line drives to the batter's left at EVERY opportunity. **Hockey:** Your worst player will be a turn over machine... unless he's the goalie, then you're just totally fucked. **Dungeons & Dragons:** doesn't matter how well thought out your characters are if the Cleric doesn't prepare any healing. Or if the Wizard drops a fireball on the Fighter and kills him. Or if the Rogue decides to go on a solo mission... and they ALWAYS do... fucking Rogues man... **Counterstrike:** You know that one guy who throws the flashbangs and blinds HIS OWN TEAM? ... we all do. : Vayne's ranked statistics are hysterical

: Why LP splashing is statistically trash, and how to fix it.
This only problem I have with your idea here is that positional queues ignore the fact that if Person A get's their main role, and Person B (on Person A's team) gets an off role they don't care about because it hardly impacts their main role at all if they lose, then them not playing seriously or just dicking around could screw over Person A. On the other hand, if Person B runs the risk of losing a significant amount of LP even if their off-role/autofill, then they will be less inclined to do said dicking around, and therefore less likely to screw over Person A. Positional queues might make it easier for 1 person to get the rank they belong in for their main role, but it also makes it even easier for assholes to decide that they are fine to fuck over the 4 people on their team. Neads of the many and all that. Revert positional queues. The League community is, unfortunately, too loaded with toxic people for positional queues to reliably get positive results.
Arcade Lulu (EUNE)

Good. Was a stupid idea. Obviously people getting the roles they aren't maining would lose their motivation to play knowing that, as a top/mid main, losing as jungle or support wouldn't really have a significant effect. Yeah, bounties from farm is bullshit. If the game needs a catch-up mechanic, then here's an idea: reduce the fucking snowballing! Remove gold from turret plates, remove "first turret" gold, and give less base gold income. There, now the team that's ahead doesn't get as much gold, so it'll give the losing team more time to try to manufacture a comeback.

I mean, some of those are certainly overloaded. I think you missed {{item:3812}} though. Personally though, I think the problem is that when the runes/masteries changed to what we have now, Riot just added more damage across the board. Items, base damage on abilities, the Runes hit harder. Electrocute is basically Thuderlord's Decree on steroids. New Conqueror is Fervor of Battle AND Warlord's Bloodlust but with true damage. Phase Rush is a batter Stormraider's Surge. Aery is basically Deathfire Touch except stronger early game. Even Aftershock deals damage, and it should be a rune that is purely defensive.

Games needs to be slowed down then. Less passive gold, less damage on runes, less CDR on items (too many of them give 20%), and less money/free stats from objectives. : Five Critical Improvements to Riot's Behavioral System (from somebody who has never been punished)
They should make an honor 5 exclusive skin every season, and it should be for the champion who was banned the LEAST globally, unless that champion already has one. Make it all shiny and cool looking. Doesn't have to have new voice lines or anything, just something to give players who make it to honor 5 as a "good job, bud!"
: True damage is less healthy on runes because it gives it to champs who were not built with it in mind, making them oppressive, in kit though, it tends to be healthy (except for vayne, screw her)
Fair point. champions like Jax, Tryndamere or Yasuo are already difficult to stifle as is, given either mixed damage or just super high damage output naturally. Converting part of it to True Damage just kind of overwhelms defensive stats in general. It can be healthy in some kits. Like Olaf's True Damage isn't a big deal, but Riot have steadily increased Vayne's over the past few seasons. I remember when it used to be 4% max health at rank 1, and 8% at rank 5, then they made it 6% to 12%, and now the rank 1 is back down to 4%, but going up to 14%, and Guinsoo's double-stacking it especially, just makes it so that you may as well have no defensive stats at all against Vayne. Just build pure damage and hope you can kill her first.

: It's 2019 and choosing your secondary runes is still some of the worst UX in the world
On this topic, why do we still have these overloaded runes to begin with? The old system was far better because the stats it gave weren't so obscenely high.
: New Conqueror Changes
So... its Fervor of Battle, but better because its also Warlord's Bloodlust AND gives True Damage in addition to the stacking offensive stats? Seriously, which fucking moron thinks that a keystone needs to give the person using it MORE AD/AP, AND to convert part of their damage into True Damage? Like: "Hey, here, have this damage amp! Oh, and here, have this OTHER damage amp, so that people can't itemize against you!" FFS, either keep the True Damage and lose the Adaptive Force ENTIRELY, or keep the Adaptive Force and remove the True Damage. The ONLY saving grace for this change is that they're removing the ability to stack up Conqueror against minions before going in and fucking up your opponent with your boosted True damage. But real talk though. Ditch the True Damage (True Damage is a less healthy mechanic than the stacking Adaptive Force, imo), and don't give it healing.
: Incoming akali nerfs
When Riot made her in her current iteration, they gave her a kit that they aren't good enough at balance to make work fairly. See, here's the issue I take with that iteration of Phantom Dancer, and its the same as my current issue with the current Phantom Dancer: You are getting defensive stats while only buying offensive stats. At least with Hexdrinker, Maw of Malmortius and Sterak's Gage, you MUST build MR or HP en route to getting your hybrid defense/offense items. Phantom Dancer is just offensive stats (attack speed and crit chance), but yields defensive abilities upon completion anyway. Its bullshit. If you want to get defensive stats, you should have to spend gold on defensive components so that you can't just become harder to kill while simultaneously spiking your damage output. Also, if you were wondering, yes I do have the same problem with Death's Dance. You could argue that its more bullshit than PD...
: Riot, I don't like where you're going with all these passes and exclusive skins.
I mean, when you really think about it, Prestige Skins are basically just expensive Chromas...
