: [Concept] League of Legends - FPS/TPS game
So, Overwatch, but with League? Am I missing anything here?
: The basic rules of lowelo
This would be funny if it weren't so depressing.

: Why isn't the design team being held responsible for this game's state?
For all of the WH40K nerds, I have said this once before, I'll say it again: CertainlyT is to Riot Games as Matt Ward was/is to Games Workshop.
: remember when rammus, hecarim and etc were the only champions that could breach 500 without compromising their build in some way and typically, they lost power for their mobility?
: Viegar/Nasus passive scaling is good design?
Let me get this straight, you play Teemo, and you're complaining about other champions being hard and annoying to deal with? {{sticker:zombie-brand-mindblown}}

: Riot has several 40K writers working for them, just saying.
That explains everything, in all honesty, from the similar stories, to the fact that the lore at large in League of Legends is seemingly standing still.

: Star Guardian 2019 predictions!
I have said this before, but I will say it again, the Star Guardians need some villains to counter them. As any good hero needs a good villain as a counter-part, a foil so to speak, to serve as a contrast, the Star Guardians as a whole need some sort of villain, or group of villains that is the evil to their good. The Justice League had the Injustice League (I know, creative name), the Avengers had Thanos and his underlings, the Jedi had the Sith. I am just wondering why Riot is not using this opportunity to create another skin line that would easily enhance the Star Guardian skin line by providing a contrast. To introduce such a line, I feel that perhaps that one Star Guardian could be tempted by this "dark side", and fall from the grace of the First Star to gain the power from this "dark side". Now, I feel out of all of the Star Guardians, Syndra has the best potential to become the fallen Star Guardian. As for future Star Guardian skins, I just really hope that Quinn gets it, she needs some love.

: These comics are designed to make us hate Demacian politics, right?
I don't know, something tells me whoever Riot brought on to write the new stories and lore, looked at WH40K, and thought "Hm, let's make Demacia the Imperium of Man, without next to no context or build-up as to why mages are treated like lepers." Like seriously, "Suffer not the witch to live". For WH40K, the Imperium carts off or executes any psykers because every single one of them could be a literal gate-way for demons and monsters to invade the universe. For Demacia, they lock or execute mages because originally Rune-Wars, and now more recently because they are trying to lock up every single possible Sylas before they can cook up an insurrection.
: Mordekaiser's new bio - It sucks. It sucks hard. All of the epicness from before is just gone.
Went from discount Sauron to discount Scion, but with armor, lore-wise.
: In honor of Yuumi, the Magical Cat
{{champion:133}} The original dual champion concept.
: Moral Relativism and Resonance
Moral relevance is just a lazy cop-out in order to avoid the appearance of favoring one side or the other.
: Give Windwall a sort of health bar, in which the ability can stop a certain number of skills or auto-attacks. For example, at level one, the wall would only be able to stop one ability, or one auto attack, at level two, two abilities or auto-attacks/ one ability and one auto-attack. Thus, the wall can be battered down, but it would still be capable of blocking at least a few abilities. If Yasuo is still over-performing, have the wall's "health bar" be dependent on the percentage of flow Yasuo has, while casting the Windwall would use up all of Yasuo's flow. For example, assuming that Windwall is maxed out, if Yasuo has about 40% of his flow bar filled, then the wall can only stop two attacks or abilities, while at 80% it would stop four.
*Realizing that I can change anything else on his kit* Passive: Remove crit doubling Q: Remove CD reduction based on attack speed, ability to crit (except during E), but retain ability to apply on hit effects. E: Make it one use per cooldown, remove ability to use multiple times in a minion wave/ team fight. Add intangibility during dash (think Fiora's parry), can activate Q during the dash to hit the dash target alone (can crit). *Writer's note: was basing this off of the old samurai movie cliche of the two swordsman dashing at each other to take one swing at each other, landing, and the hero stands victorious, while the villain falls to the ground* R: Triple the cooldown.
: For those who hate the Windwall, what would you do for Yasuo instead?
Give Windwall a sort of health bar, in which the ability can stop a certain number of skills or auto-attacks. For example, at level one, the wall would only be able to stop one ability, or one auto attack, at level two, two abilities or auto-attacks/ one ability and one auto-attack. For example, assuming that Windwall is maxed out, if Yasuo has about 40% of his flow bar filled, then the wall can only stop two attacks or abilities, while at 80% it would stop four.

Besides, stomping your feet and crying harder than normal like a 5 year old isn't going to accomplish anything, this should be firsthand knowledge to anybody that had parents with any degree of parenting skill. Honestly, it's just that making reasonable, and well thought out posts detailing the problems people have with the game isn't working. No matter how well written and reasoned these posts are, the Riot employees responsible for game balance and champion design don't even respond, let alone agree or disagree. This, and a rather embarrassing post from an employee, shows that Riot at large does not care about the boards at all, let alone enough to seriously consider anything we have to say here. With this in mind, it can be concluded that more aggressive attempts at communication, at the website most frequented by the largest number of Riot employees, is necessary, if we still want our voices to be heard by someone who matters in Riot.

: Who’s Matt ward?
Matthew Ward was a writer in a company called Games Workshop. He was responsible for creating the rule books for several army factions, that ended up being so unbalanced and broken, that he has become infamous in the WH40K community.

Step 1: Delete every champion designed by CertainlyT, in front of CertainlyT. Step 2: Assemble the entirety of Riot Games' design staff. Step 3: Burn CertainlyT at the stake in front of the design staff. Step 4: Explain to the design staff why CertainlyT is being burned at the stake, as he is being burned, emphasizing that creators of similarly over-powered champions will be burned as well.

: Honestly, I’m starting to think Hashinshin is right about Riot’s top lane balancing philosophy
On creep block, what if Riot coded the minions to not get within such a distance to each other that there would always be enough space between them for a champion to get past easily? Now, I'm no programmer, and I have no clue to the difficulty of programming what I have proposed, but I feel as if it may be a simple enough solution to solve creep block.

: Top lane is shrinking to range tops and the fighters/tanks who can deal with them
The only reason why I keep playing Quinn top lane is that her range is shit compared to other marksmen that taking her to bot lane is almost always a bad idea.

: Story behind your league names?
When I was coming up with a name, I thought of something weird, and "Slughunter" was the first thing that popped into my head. I was actually a little excited making my account to play League for the first time, and mis-typed, spelling out "Sulghunter" instead. Just before submitting the account, I noticed the error, and was about to fix it, but after reading it, I found that I actually liked "Sulghunter" more than "Slughunter". Kept "Sulghunter" and made my account, kept it since.
: Riot Games hires its first Chief Diversity Officer
I'd be wary about this woman if I were you. As a diversity officer, she would have at the very least some influence on new hires, thus she can in a way direct the future of Riot. Time and again when games become overtly political, everyone suffers, the gamers and the developers, hopefully Riot can see the current titans of game development, and learn from their mistakes.
: My issue with Sylas
Just pick Quinn into Sylas, and watch as the idiot trys to use your ult in the middle of a fight.
: Sexism and harasment, Reporting further than after game possible?
As much as I'd like to say that those two acted as deplorable human beings, this is the internet after all. Unless they start posting personal info, their words have even less value than if they had said those same things in person. Because of the anonymity afforded by the online media, people will feel that they can act however they want with little consequence. As harsh and cold as this will seem, I can not advise strongly enough for one to grow a thick skin against creeps such as those two you had mentioned.

*Looks side-to-side hoping no one gets the idea to start picking Quinn more often*

If you cannot show respect to others even losing or winning, Respect should not be forced, and it should be the person's decision if they deem anyone worthy of their respect. > do not expect others to respect you as well even you played the game very well. Hell i agree with this one, it's your decision to not give him respect. Bottom line -- respect is earned not giving
There is still a base level of respect that you give to someone else on the basis of them being another human being. Would you encounter a stranger, someone you have never met before, and be rude to that person, be a complete a-hole to that person because he didn't do anything to earn your respect? This is what is called good sportsmanship, where you are polite to your opponent, gracious in victory, and humble in defeat, and "GGEZ" is none of those things.
: Damage is too high. Damage items are too strong.
There's a meme for this, but I can't remember what it was.
: How Would You Propose to Make Any Percieved Unfair Champion More Fair
Absolutely dumpster the base numbers of the abilities of tanks, or tanky champions, raise the scaling to compensate. I am sick and tired of tanks running around and doing assassin levels of damage. If they want damage, they ought to have to give up durability in exchange.
Dynikus (NA)
: I'd make the argument that shedding armor shows that she's surpassed the need for human protection as she ascends to something stronger. Also the whole growing 4 more wings thing.
That does make sense, but my argument is that she gives up something of herself, her emotions, to gain a greater ability to bring justice. This greater ability would be conveyed by a suit of armor that covers up her body, and the helmet would come last, covering up her face and completing the suit. When a man in is in a full suit of armor, you don't really see a man in armor, but a suit of armor.

: My brief thoughts on the RiotAugust "Controversy"
The boards are only useless to the developers because they never think of it as a possible resource. As much as there are countless threads screeching over op this or unbalanced that, there still exists a hand full of well thought out posts discussing problems in the game and putting forward possible solutions. However, silence from the developers simply fuels speculation of Riot not paying any mind to the boards, and this post will no doubt be seized as irrefutable proof, only deepening this apparent devide. By this rioter's post, it makes it seem like to all and sundry that Riot itself is perfectly willing to throw out the baby with the bath water and discount the entirety of the boards as useless. This obviously does nothing to help improve relations between players and developers, especially considering how reddit is coming under accusations of being nothing more than a choir to sing Riot its praises. Now, the only way forward is for the developers to show face and flag on this forum, but the process will be long and painful, as years of bitterness will have to be overcome, and the rioters themselves would have to prove by both word and action that the the forum, and by extension the community, matters.

: Female checking in to say I quite like the appearances of Morgana and Kayle now. I think having sexy female characters is perfectly fine, simply because NOBODY that has two braincells to rub together wants to run around as some ugly ass character. Why do you think people spend so much time in character creators for games? They want to have their ideal character, which is 9/10 times to be attractive. But then again, I'm also the person who finds {{champion:266}} {{champion:412}} and {{champion:50}} to be attractive... {{sticker:sg-jinx}}
I agree, I too like visually appealing characters, but what many are voicing their complaints over is how much of {{champion:10}} visual identity was sacrificed for sex appeal. Honestly, we already have dozens of sexy champs (male and female), it would be a nice bit of variety to have a female champ whose design isn't focused on sex appeal, like {{champion:420}} or{{champion:163}}, and holy warrior/paladin is something not really explored by anyone, except maybe {{champion:89}} /{{champion:131}}

: Can Quinn please get more reliability on Vault's interaction with incoming attacks?
Forgot to add that {{champion:27}} and {{champion:106}} can flip you mid vault. Also notice on the newer kits where the abilities have a very clear wind up before actually activating, but no channeling period? Really grinds my gears that vault can't interrupt those.

: We need more stories about magic hurting Demacia
My guess is that the Rune Wars left such a scar on the Demacian People's collective memory, that they've decided to persecute any and all magic with extreme prejudice to ensure the horror of another Rune War can be prevented to the greatest extent possible. I do have to note, the WH40K nerd in me is giddy a little, with the Demacians and magic users relation being thus: "Suffer not the witch to live". They even have a sanctioned psyker (Lux)

: Want to Know WHY You Think League is Dead?
Why do you like the current state of affairs? I am trying to understand the mindset of someone who likes the massive damage and rapid matches. I started playing this game nearly 4 years ago, when 45 minute matches were a regular occurrence. I enjoyed spending days playing LoL, fighting the long matches, it actually felt like a battle, instead of some random and senseless bar fight. I just don't understand the appeal of matches where a single ability is capable of tearing off a third of ones health bar, or where matches are decided in the first ten minutes.
