: Emotes are just watering down loot boxes. I hate them
I completely agree. I don’t use the emote system whatsoever, having them thrown in just slightly annoys me. They should be something separate that you can buy if you want
: Aw jeez... really? I figured such a big company making so much money from this game would be more willing to help the players. Have you heard of anyone being let off the 5 game ban? Or at least being compensated for having to wait 100 minutes for the nonexistent afk?
I’ve had it twice since the preseason patch. Riot knows it’s a problem and I assume they’re working to fix it. But I doubt you’re getting it removed or getting any compensation.
: I found an idea to fix tanks vs Ad Assassins problem while having ADC damage still counter them
Then any assassin that could build Crit items would. Like Zed or Talon, feasibly they could build Crit, yea it’s not efficient or great on them but if lethality is nerfed that just becomes the meta again like in S3 with Crit talon
: Patch V7.22 gave me 100 minutes of penalty time for a bug i had no control over
They don’t care and won’t do anything. This shit has been happening and it’s well noted. This patch fucked the client over badly. But nobody from riot seems to wanna talk about it. They just keep talking about in game balance
: I have got this question answered now.. the blue essence is in the loot..
No it’s not, the way it works now is unrewarding and stupid. You get like 4 champ shards per lvl that you can disenchant into BE. Usually about 1k to 1.6k worth. I’d rather get a set 100 per game.
: Candy Kayn
Good idea but probably too late
: Ban from teammates of prepicked champs
This is why I don’t pre pick.

Hey man, I'm a adc main, currently climbing from bronze. My main thing is just working at being with more consistent with my mechanics. Maybe we can play a few normals and you can decide if i'm up to par? My ign is Sxli. I'm down for curse or skype, and can download discord as well.

Hey i`m Sxli. I main ADC but can play every role to an extent other than top lane. I am bronze but I am always looking to improve. In normals I tend to get matched with silver to low gold players and I manage to do reasonably well. I sent you an Add in game to talk more,

: That's the point I was making. Every match I see with a melee AD top, it's always countered by Malphite or Rammus. Also Vi didn't work on the match I saw her try to gank top lane to help {{champion:122}}. Malph ended up getting a double kill. He had 584 armor with {{item:3047}} {{item:3075}} {{item:3110}} {{item:3065}} {{item:3102}} {{item:3026}} at level 18. Melted everything he came close to, didn't take a scratch, he did more champion damage than like 7 of the champions combined. Around 90k damage.
Any champ with true damage. Fiora, Vayne. Tahm is good with his percent health damage. But if someone picks that in ranked and you have to counter, honestly just pick a a bruiser and bully them HARD early when they are still relatively squishy, or build a tank and make it a war of attrition.

See, the issue is, you thought you could counter a {{champion:33}} or {{champion:54}} with AD. Nah man. But really, {{champion:254}} can, armor shred passive W

Make malphite a female, (well he`s a rock so I guess he doesnt have gender anyway)
: LOL. after she lands an invisible spear she then gets to jump on you and deal your entire life bar if u think shes balancd im going to slit my throat.
I think most skillshots are invisible if shot from the fog of war? My point is, If you stand in the middle of your creep wave, you arent getting hit by a nid spear, or you can get a banshees and block it entirely. Nid isn`t broken or anywhere near. Gnar is average in terms of shapeshifting champions. The only thing I can partially agree on is that Ezreal mid is annoying. He can be countered, but its really just a pain in the ass.
: If you plan to break the meta/troll pick, FINISH IT
Here are my two cents on this. A. If you`re gonna break the meta, cool, but understand what you`re doing and how it should work. This is where bots come in. Yea they aren`t gonna make you way better, but they`ll teach you "Okay this tactic works really well against this bot, let me take it to normals and I can adjust as needed." That way you arent being a hindrance to your team and wasting 9 other peoples time. B. Go the fuck through with it. Seriously fucking commit. Expect to get bad lanes. Breaking the meta is like picking galio or urgot. They arent complete shit, but in certain teams, you wont be as effective as others. But that isnt a reason for you to go afk. There is always something you can do, even if it`s just being a tank.
: the more i read threads on boards, the more i realize just how disgusting riots bandwagon has gotten . bunch of ignorant bandwagoners that kiss ass for no fucking reason. there is still yet no champion balance even though its fuckign obvious who needs the nerfs. for fucks sake ryze is a walking bug. gnar is fucking overloaded with shit. ezreal mid is fucking stupid full of damage. nidalee lands 1 spear and ur fucking dead. there is yet to be balance. just because your in a good mood doesnt mean you bullshit some random thread complimenting these inbreds you call a balance team.
To one shot you with her spear (ohhh its so satisfying t watch you go from 50-0 in one shot <3) nid has to land her spear at max range. At that point all you have to do is step a little left or right. Its such a thin skillshot, and its easy to dodge. So Nid is pretty balanced. A lot of her damage requires you walk on her W trap, or Get smacked by a slow moving, and thin, spear projectile.
: About Last Whisper: https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/2zy4rq/do_you_always_have_to_buy_lw_as_an_adc/cpnq23h Summary: A last whisper gives 40 AD and a +15.8%....+30% damage multiplier, depending on how much armor your target has. In the worst case, a level 18 Caitlyn with IE and AD runes will get roughly the same damage increase as buying BT, but for a 1200g discount. Buying vamp scepter doesn't change this calculation of DPS priority. Literally the only reason to buy BT over LW 3rd item is if you *NEED* the shield. That worst case is an Orianna with no armor runes and without her own ball at level 18. Late-game armor values simply do not get much lower.
I`ve never thought about it like that. I guess I always just ignored the fact that champions have naturally scaling armor per level. But what do you think about buidling {{item:1053}} just for the lifesteal (it`s saved my arse quite a few times) then going ahead with {{item:3035}}

: try games with map awareness practice (typically easiest done on a support role or jungle). Buy a few wards and then start talking to yourself in the game in regards to the position of the people that are MIA, you can even do that for your team mates !! Although you ahve vision of them, but its still good practice. It doesn't matter if you win or loose, cos the point is the gain map awareness. How long does it take to move from one lane to another from just simple walking? How long does it take from red/blue to your bot lane ? Just call them out and see how close you are. Improving map awareness helps all roles you are in, it might be a bit harder when you have to look at the mini map and still focus on CS, but if you can ping one of your team mates to back out when you can see a gank coming (and they don't, hopefully they respond to your pings), that is an indirect carry through information flow. Which is how we support mains carry. Coming from a bronzie support main, but I know this has helped me get out of low bronze. I did see my death count reduce as well. Its a skill that sticks with you once you learn it.
I already talk to myself more than I`d like to admit while playing xD If I see Like a Vi jg, and she starts top (You know shes probably starting top because the top laner will be late to lane by about a wave of cs.) So i`ll say "Vi started topside, I can expect to be ganked between 3:15-5:00 as thats the typical time most junglers clear bot side if they start top and vice versa. Same thing if I see mid or top dissappear, I try to take note of where they were running towards so I kind of know whwere to expect them to be

I just went over things quickly, but these were the main things I saw in the vayne game.
Yea immediately after I q`ed in I knew I made a mistake by getting too close to yas a few times. I watched it over myself a few times, and in some instances my positioning was spot on in fights and others, it was horrid. So I would like to become more consistent in that regard. So I think I need to just spam normals and focus on cs and trades in the early while taking notes on my positioning in the mid-late game. I do play on locked screen, and i`m slowly trying to adjust to semi-locked then unlocked. I really appreciate you watching the gameplay. I watched some of gosu and imaqtpie`s older streams last night and I took notes on random little things they do. I noticed that they position to where if the supp tries to attack, they get assaulted by the minions. I also learned gosu tilts harder than I do xD
: 1.I applaud your humble approach. 2.You sit on an unupgraded yellow trinket *FAR* too often. Either upgrade to the better yellow and help with warding, switch to blue(I like upgraded blue, but blue is the only reasonable trinket to not upgrade, but only get on ADCs) or get red(upgraded red helps duel against stealth targets). If you look at my ranked history, I have at least a 90% trinket upgrade rate, and at least half of my unupgraded trinkets are games where it simply ended right around level 9-10, and thus, upgrading wasn't really an available option. 3.In your last ranked game, you bought Pickaxe+BFS instead of LW. This is a flatout mistake. 4.You overpriotize BT+IE over BT+LW or IE+LW in your 3 items + boots build. Its sometimes worth building IE+BT, but not as often as you seem to do so. Generally, the rule of thumbs about this are to build a BFS-item(BoRK counts on some ADCs as a BT alternative) into a Zeal-item-equivalent(Ghostblade counts) into a LW into either your other BFS item or a defense item into whichever you didn't buy fourth. Triforce carries work roughly the same way, but go Zeal->BFS->LW instead, counting Triforce as a zeal-item. Corki, Kalista and Ezreal are just weird, but they'll at least function reasonably utilizing these builds even if they're better built other ways. 5.Don't build sunfire cape on supports unless you've built Randuin's and Frozen Heart already and still need an HP/Armor combo-item. And even then, you should probably build Ohmwrecker instead. 6.Your last Thresh game, you're sitting on Relic Shield all game with a sightstone. Dude, buy Face of the Mountain. Its really good, really cheap, and helps your gold income. 7.Play fewer champions in ranked. You're more eclectic than I am, but you've got less than 400-500 games played, ever, compared to my ~5000. You simply don't have the experience to afford that level of variety. Trim the list and focus on a few champions that you enjoy playing, and play them as exclusively as you can in their roles.
Thanks for the response. I do forget to upgrade my trinket fairly often so I wrote a note and have placed it on the corner of my screen. It says "Upgrade your trinket by lvl 10" For that last ranked game, I was on tilt. I know that`s no excuse, but all in all, I made lots of bad decisions that game and I know that. I generally only get LW against teams with 2 or more tanks, but I do think learning to prioritize it would do me better in the long run. With supports, I have the same problem as with my yellow trinkets. I just always forget to even upgrade it, so I agree that fixing that would probably make me more effective as a support. In ranked I try to go by this champion pool (I think I followed Phylo`s video in making it) It basically has 3-5 champions i`m confident with in each role. My total pool of champs I`m confident enough to ranked with is 29. So I try to keep it pretty narrowed, but I think i`m afraid of being banned out of champs im good with (I know this is really stupid and illogical.)
: I agree Vayne needs nerfs towards tanks, but there is counterplay in Randuin's and Frozen Heart. Also Nasus and Malphite, who can reduce her AS.
As a Vayne main, she gets fucked in the ass by frozen heart + thornmail. I can`t count the amount of times ive looked at death recap only to see that ive done 700-900 damage to MYSELF by attacking a Nasus or rammus with frozen heart and thornamail.
: {{champion:6}} doesn't really replace an actual ADC, he can be played in a carry position. But I usually play him top-lane. You think {{champion:3}} has scaling and identity problems? You haven't seen {{champion:60}} yet have you?
Well with {{champion:60}} I mash naturally well with her kit, so I don`t have a lot of problems making her work in certain team comps.
: Champions that you refuse to play and support
The only champs I wont play are {{champion:6}} : He is everything wrong with an adc in one champ {{champion:3}} : I don`t know what role he`s supposed to fill. He scales to well to go straight tank, but cant function as full damage
: Darius has been absent from competitive play longer than any champion in the game
I think it is because with the current iteration of popular picks and the amount of communication between players, he`s very easy to shut down on a competitive level, but can easily dominate soloQ.

I`m pretty good at not blaming people for my mistakes, but I think my biggest problem is expecting everyone to know the same things I do, (who to focus, what we should prioritize) but my last 2 games i`ve made it a point to A. Upgrade my trinket and use it. B. Communicate information I know to my teammates in a friendly way.. So far this has helped a lot and my teams have responded really well.

: I would say there are 3 big things: 1. Your general mechanics and gameplay. You say you're already consistently working on these, so that's good. But as a specific question: In a 1v0 game, how often do you get 100cs at 10 minutes? Every time? Rarely? Being able to get a ton of farm is a really big deal. This goes hand-in-hand with your teamfight positioning, as making sure you're using that gold is a big deal. 2. General map play. A big farm of getting gold is not letting minion wave die for free. You should be getting 200cs at 20 minutes, 300cs at 30. That's not realistic for every single game you play, and even the pros don't get that all to often. But if you're at 120cs in a 30 minute game, that's 100% on you. Don't lose out on the gold and experience minions give. You have to learn to balance that with joining your team for fights, but as an ADC this is important. Also, don't get caught out. Any time you die, it's your fault. In a team fight? Probably bad positioning. In lane? Didn't see the gank coming. In the middle of the map? Shouldn't have been out in front. 3. Minor shot-calling. Players generally are able to understand a good idea when they see it. If you ace them, you're all full health, and you ping Baron, everyone'll go "Oh yeah! We can Baron!" and probably follow you. Don't give up opportunities like that.
Was really not expecting having a rioter respond to this. But I think the biggest thing I could work on is cs`ing even better, and conveying my thoughts to others. I often think "Hey we made their bot lane recall, lets go get dragon" or "Don`t chase, we made them back, just farm" To me that`s intuitive but I forget not everyone thinks the way I do, so shot-calling is a big thing for me. I really wanna thank everyone that responded to this though, you guys are all really helpful.

I would actually watch you play and help more, but I don't even have time to play myself lately. when I get some free time, I might help you more, but that might not be happening for a few days still. another thing you can do is watch high ranked streamers and compare what they do with what you do and try to spot their mistakes and why they do what they do. basically study their playing.
I tried just keeping bot lane warded (game I just recorded) and it worked wonders. It was brilliant. Udyr couldn`t gank and I had vision of everything so even when we started pushing, I could see where the enemy bot lane was most of the time.

I see you upgrading in some games when it should be upgraded in almost to all of your games. I do see you do change some games, but you should upgrade it when you get to level 9 when you can. at 10 minutes into your graves game, you had 45 cs. this is really low, even in a hard lane. if the lane was free, you can get 90 about, and if hard, 60 and up is ok. if you get under 60 often enough, you might want to improve on this. took you until the 20 minute mark to get to 100 cs which is half still of what you could be at if you are csing really well. at 20 minutes, you want between 150 to 180 about. the sivir game is also fairly close to the same cs. just pointing out more than one game it's happening in. besides that, it's hard to tell without actually watching.
With the graves game a few things happened that were my fault. A. I got caught out by alistar a few times ( i didnt die but had to back) B. Kat came bot and I didnt have vision in the tri bush so she got a free kill from blitz and just stayed in lane for a while and just gave me a hard time. C. I was on tilt. But yea my cs was awful, and I usually forget to upgrade my trinket even if I have the gold, I need to work on that. I have a lot of trouble trying to cs on tilt, I know when to attack I just cant do it.
: A few suggestions you might find useful. *record a game that you're in and watch yourself on the replay. It makes it much easier to see errors you've made. *winning your lane might not be enough. Get dragons, early, with your jungler and maybe mid. Those bonuses help your whole team snowball, and shut down the other team. Also, try to gank nearby lanes if you're winning your lane hard enough. *consider if it's worth getting your preferred role. You need to have some level of ability at all roles. Maybe someone else is a better adc and a worse support, so you'd improve your chances of winning by NOT playing your main. *watch aphromoo's "support is so easy" on youtube. The items are dated, the strategy isn't. 100% worthwhile.
I`m fairly decent at all roles. If I had to rate my proficiency; it`d go Adc, support, jungle, ,mid, top. With top though, I just dont know when to do tp ganks so I generally take ignite instead unless im playing a splitpush champ. Do you know of any recording software that wont make me lag in game or drop my fps? If you do i`ll be happy to try to criticize my gameplay. I`m seriously committed to getting better and i`m ready to try almost any suggestion.

I max Q against people like blitz supp, jinx, lucian, graves, cait and ashe. But if I`m maxing Q I like to go vamp scepter, boots, then Ie and finish off bork 3rd. often it's best to go bork and then PD with boots in between instead of the IE. reason being is more silver bolts and more DPS, but the IE gives more burst damage and if you like that, it's not bad. often in bronze (this is for adc in general, not just vayne), there are a lot of chances to poke down the other laners without taking any to much poke. you can try to poke by auto and then Q and then back off. even if you don't get the three bolts off, if they back off or don't auto back, you won the trade there since they really didn't trade back. if you manage to poke the others laner out of lane, you get a cs lead. if they stay really low, you can kill them or make them miss cs under tower or zone them away from it. being able to cs, dodge skill shots and poke whenever free is what you need to be able to do if you are adc.
I can dodge skill shots with any adc but jinx and ashe. When I play those champs, a blitz grab and nid spear might as well be targeted abilities, because I just can`t seem t dodge well with them. I try to trade when the enemy is last hitting because it screws with their timing and they fall behind more and more. PD is my favorite item on vayne along with the furor enchant, QSS and bork.
: with vayne, there is a lot you can do (talking about vayne since you say you practiced a lot with her). you can max Q for easier laning and better poke and positioning. (if you max Q, it's often best to get IE first item since Q damage goes well with it.) while laning, you want to look for when other laners walk too close or too far up into your minion wave and poke them down. unless they have a very strong advantage, your poke without taking minion aggro vs their poke with them taking minions aggro will often make you even or win the trade. try to rush to level 2 before the other laners. if they get level 2 first, often they can abuse you hard in lane, but if you get it first, it makes for a much safer early game laning phase.
I generally rush bork + boots then ie. I max Q against people like blitz supp, jinx, lucian, graves, cait and ashe. But if I`m maxing Q I like to go vamp scepter, boots, then Ie and finish off bork 3rd.
: If you aren't playing duo queue depending on a random support is kinda eh farfetched.. i was b5 three times and climbed out. Mid lane and jg are two of the easiest roles to carry low elo. pick a high snowballer or someone with a good team fight. annie comes to mind she destroys... fiora top helped me climb out albeit i main top lane and she snowballs like crazy.. but you get the idea and forcing early objectives.. if it's not your skill pick a lane where you can shine.. you shine at that role. and force objectives with your lead. make it so the other team can't come back.
I can adapt and play well with most supports (just not morgs). I`m really just tired of being stuck here for 2 seasons. First time I knew I was bad, so I wasn`t expecting much. But I have worked SO hard on getting better and improving my knowledge of champs and win conditions and mechanics(cs, positioning, ect.) As vayne (i`ve worked the hardest with her, as I enjoy difficult champs) I can 1v2 bot lane. Albeit i wont get any kills, but I also wont feed or fall too behind in cs. I may be behind like 10-15 cs. I just really want to get better and out of bronze. I know silver isn`t much better, but at least i`ll have something to show of the countless hours of practice and work I`ve put in...

: You do know it is still possible to win 3v5's, I've won them before.
When did the other players leave? If it`s 3v5 from the beginning of the game and the enemy capitalizes on the free elo, then nah you may win but you`re gonna have a hell of a time trying. Most times they`ll repeatedly gank three players that remain, while simultaneously taking towers.
: Did I say anything about DCs? No, I didn't. You can just as easily lose from a poor play and go on tilt as you can from a DC. So take your sore-loser, flaming self out of this thread
Hi! Two things to say! 1. Read op`s post. He said they had a dc. From the moment that dc happened they were at an unfair disadvantage. You can`t deny that. 2. I`m not flaming. Yes there are games to learn from, but that probably wouldn`t be the best game to learn from. All he`s gonna thing about is "Fuck, they banned naut, my adc sucked, and wouldn`t take kills I tried to spoon feed him." If anything he`d get frustrated thinking about it especially because it was one of his promos. So no, I do not agree with trying to learn from that particular game.

Well I like {{champion:412}} {{champion:40}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:267}} {{champion:117}} But I also **HATE** {{champion:412}} A bad thresh that can`t position or land hooks or even lantern is so damn useless.

Hi, just two things to say! 1. Fuck you 2. Seriously, go take your elitist attitude somewhere else. It`s an open forum. People share ideas for feedback and community criticism. Who cares if it is a bad idea? And just because you find an idea bad, does not mean everyone else does as well. Have a great day!
: Take a break, play another game, go outside, talk to friends, watch or go see a movie, read a book, watch TV My point being literally anything that will take your mind of League and puts you in a good mood. Then when you go back to League, don't concentrate on the stupid things that made you mad (but don't forget about them completely: learn from those mistakes and get better from them)
Yea because you can learn from a dc. There is nothing to learn there. At that point the enemy gets an unfair advantage and you`re left sitting there trying your damnedest to do ANYTHING to even the odds and it`s just fucking unfair. Yea you can position better, but let`s face it, even if you position well in bronze, your teammates more than likely won`t. You can learn little shit here and there, but unless your team does as well, it`s not happening. It`s unfair, and bullshit.

: kikus playing elise in lcs pretty much proofs anny shitty champ if played correctly can be good
You can play **ANYTHING** with enough skill and make it work. Now how well it works is debatable, but with enough skill, you can make it work.
