One of the primary reasons duskblade was nerfed was because it was too much of a crutch to AD assassins or other lethality users, to which I agree. On the note of having a crutch item for a class of champions, do you have any other lethality or assassin- targetted items that could offer more variety within the build paths of these champions? What often happens is you go Duskblade > Ghostblade > Cleaver > Guardian Angel > Last Whisper/Maw/Mercurial, and possibly having Warrior first if you're the jungler. Edge of Night is rarely taken, even in cases where it should be taken, simply because the item just isn't all that great. Are there any new items that could shake up the build paths for more variety, like how you all attempted with the new AP item changes? Any idea for an AD item could involve getting movespeed and/or tenacity after a takedown or doing X amount of damage as a teamfight focused item. It has it's flaws, but any thoughts on the matter?

I'm not sure about the Marksmen one but Riot chooses which champs are assassins rather than using the in-game classifications. For example, Kayn is labelled as an assassin but he'll only be added in with the ability to go blue kayn, since Red Kayn isn't an assassin-like champ.

I'm surprised League has gone on this long without an enchanting Warlock/Shaman type character. Lulu and Bard are the closest that I can think of, but none of them feel like the "Village Enchanter" or Prophet/Soothsayer. We also seem to be missing a Panda based champ, Frog (kind of Tahm Kench but he's a Catfish in a Suit), Crab/Lobster, or Bat.
: I think we need some sort of villain that isn't just villain because he is bad, like doomfist. Or more like handsome jack, who is a huge jerk yet charismatic.

That's why vlad's tank build was nerfed a ton.

Jarvan has much more upfront burst damage and less sustained damage, potential to be played as both assassin, bruiser or tank, I feel like they actually serve rather different purposes. Jarvan's AoE knockup/damage/multiperson lockdown, is traded for a bit less range on his gapcloser, less sustained damage, less sustain, and a more reliable but only single target lockdown that doesn't deal damage. They both have their ups and downs.

: Mid Season Tanks Update - Zac
Although I did expect {{champion:154}} to be on here, I did not expect to see that he's the last update. I was hoping for {{champion:54}} , {{champion:32}} , or even {{champion:33}} to get some love in this update. I hope they're going to have some form of small changes, like the {{champion:101}} /{{champion:45}} /{{champion:34}} /etc changes from the Mage Update. Regardless, I'm interested to see how this update goes. I've always thought his Q and W were a little bland, especially the W. Notice the pattern among {{champion:154}} , {{champion:113}} , {{champion:54}} , and {{champion:32}} how they all have Strong AoE cc and at least one ability that is "damage in an AoE around them," with something just a little different for each one. {{champion:154}} 's W cooldown is reduced by picking up his passive, {{champion:54}} 's E reduces enemy attack speed, {{champion:113}} 's W applies her Frost and is an auto reset, and {{champion:32}} 's W is a toggle that drains mana, and his E's cooldown is reduced when taking damage. I hope the changes to {{champion:154}} and {{champion:113}} can at least seperate them from the group.
: Mid Season Tanks Update - Maokai
With how Maokai has been played recently, especially in pro-play, as a diving 1v5 tank, his ultimate seems too greedy for what it provides. For this Treework, I think they should either update his kit to be much more defensive and peel-based, as he seems like a defensive, "care for nature" type tree, but Ivern has really taken that tone, so maybe a more offensive-focused, badass tree would be pretty damn cool.

Champions that need a rework or buff: -Kindred -Aatrox -Galio -Urgot -Nunu -Mordekaiser -Nidalee And most importantly AZIR! Azir is in such a bad place right now with a **41% winrate ** there are so many skilled Azir mains who cant do anything just because of how low Azir's damage is. If its too risky to increase his damage, buffing his laning phase mana will be like diamonds to the homeless xD

Morde's sitting at an alright spot as a counter to Katarina, but I do agree he could use some love. I'm guessing they want to see how the recent buffs to nidalee affect her, because both her and Azir are champions that can become super strong with the slightest of buffs, and when they are strong, they completely dominate and outclass any other champ in that role.

Hello there Rioters! I have a couple questions that I've been curious about for a short while and I'd like to know what info you can disclose on them. 1. Are there plans to nerf {{champion:42}} at any point soon with his resurgence in the meta, or to buff those underplayed champions that have been left in the dust like {{champion:9}} , {{champion:74}} , {{champion:106}} , {{champion:77}} , or {{champion:72}} ? Although not all of them are unplayable, they've been nerfed/set behind so much to the point that I haven't seen any of them on SR in months. 2. Also, are there any specific tanks you can mention at this point in time that will be included in the update, or at least a ballpark of how many? I know Maokai and Sejuani are set for having their splashes updated in that patch, so I can only assume they will be included.

: I KNOOW! Why do they take the fun out of these unique roles for these champs. They nerfs AP Shaco hard, even though people think he is buffed now. Although not many people play AP Shaco, they decided to nerf his 2 shiv by 30% ap and 120 base damage for utility. For kog they didnt do anything.
AP Shaco top has a positive winrate and Quas (the #1 player on NA) is spamming AP shaco, Nasus, and Swain top.

Can I understand how am I supposed to survive zed or fizz eg? Praying the good lord to save my soul? And don't tell me to build armor, 30 armor won't change anything(look at perkz 1v2 og botlane with only 2 kills) and, u know, adc deal 0 damage if they retards core items for a complete defensive one. But yes plz, keep on shitting on adcs and buff assassins, so u'll have more "mlg outplay video" on the net for ur community. I'm quite done hearing about "champs are countered with just a click" cause half of the champs that u're indirect buffing was already forcing u into building an mres item while BEING AD; and u need it even if the enemy team is full ad! Now: u give to add base armor/mres and hp to all adc or u give them an ad zonya... Oh, w8, there's another possibility: finish what u have done with morde so ppl will nomore need to play adcs.
You can still QSS Fizz ult, but yeah it's annoying.
: Zhonyas is literally the most broken item in the entire game. If you're facing Zed, bring Exhaust or barrier and build a Zhonyas. After the nerf to Zhonyas, if it's not up, then drop your exhaust on him. When your exhaust isn't up, use your zhonyas. Problem solved.
Zed rushes damage while Mages have to rush a utility item that is rather expensive and doesn't offer much damage, (on an even longer cooldown now as well) I just don't see most mages winning this matchup unless its a Swain or Malz that the Zed is unintelligent enough to get close to.

The Raven Fiora and Toxic Mundo do need updates, but these just simply dont seem to fit the style of any other splashes. Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up to the community to decide. The Cho'gath and Morgana ones do seem to be downgrades but they are close enough for me to not complain about. I personally enjoy all of the new Karthus splashes, along all of the other good ones you showed. Another really great one is the Temple Jax, personally one of my favorite splasharts EVER. All in all, i like that they (Riot) are taking a risk and trying to bring regions together, but they are tripping a little on their journey.
: Mid Year Mage Updates - Annie Direction
I feel like Annie certainly needs changes, whether for counterplay or usefulness. I do like how simple she is, League needs simpler champions so that new players have a more forgiving experience. The only problem is, she essentially has a stronger, longer range auto attack (Q), two filler abilities really only there for her passive (W and E), and the charming bear that everyone knows and dies too quickly to before they can even try to love it. I love playing Annie, i really do, but i want more options with her. I enjoy the forgiving part of her Q, helping new players learn the basics of last hitting/farming. I just want to use my W and E for things other than stacking a stun. I want Tibbers to be the menacing bear from hell as he appears to be, not just a short stun and some burst. As several other comments state, she is very limited in her ability and usefulness when Tibbers is on cooldown. I'm happy that they are including her in this update.
