Cheers brother, the whole team is trying their best to make him the best he can be!

: He is one of the concept artists working on Swain as well as the lead artists overall on Swain. And yes he hasn't stopped talking about Swain since we started.

Yes! I am very fortunate to have the honor to work with such a talented team as the art lead on the project.

: I'd lie if I said that I didn't scream and then cry a little out of happiness when I saw this. Urgot was my first ever champ and my second ever main, so he's had a special place in my heart since September 2011. It seems like he feels terrifyingly awesome to play (And he's still weird! But in a good way!). And omg, his skins- All four (including the classic and their splashes) look phenomenal. Reav3, could you please send my regards and love to the Urgot team? <3

> How many have sold their souls wishing revenge upon Teemo? Not lore related or fact....but, Countless >;)
: After reading the Q&A from Azir how did you all approach Kalista? I know its not a done with one start a second, but how many iterations did you all go through? What did she look like at the beginning compared to how she evolved to now? I've always wondered how new champs evolve from square one from both a game play and lore level.
> After reading the Q&A from Azir how did you all approach Kalista? I know its not a done with one start a second, but how many iterations did you all go through? What did she look like at the beginning compared to how she evolved to now? I've always wondered how new champs evolve from square one from both a game play and lore level. I can talk from an art perspective on her development over time. Kalista went through a long period of iteration. The main challenge for us was how to make an undead spectral female not appear too normalized, but at the same time not so horrific or ghoulish that she might be hard for some players to approach. The answer is do both versions, find what bits work best and what doesn't, and then combine the best parts of each to get an approachable visual thematic that's new and engaging. Ultimately, We feel this let us hit a nice mixture of spectral warrior goodness with her.
: can we hope that one day we'll get a kalista skin when she was alive and may be call it "living Kalista"or something?
> can we hope that one day we'll get a kalista skin when she was alive and may be call it "living Kalista"or something? Like the idea here BTW, The skins team is always looking for creative ways to give champs a different experience to play. I not saying this will or will not happen, but we are always listening to good ideas that come our way.

: Her armor, is she related to mount Targon in any way? The mark of the betrayer is her personal symbol? If it is, then why is it on a jolly roger?
> Her armor, is she related to mount Targon in any way? > The mark of the betrayer is her personal symbol? If it is, then why is it on a jolly roger? I cannot speak to the armors origins, but the design was intended to be in a very ancient-looking style, with basic protections to allow free movement as a skirmisher. Unlike other shadow isle champs, she retains a lot of her original armor from the time she fell. This was one of our goals with her, the undead fallen warrior that retains some of who she once was both mentally and visually. The armor style is a third visual read ( she has so much read potential), so we needed to make the armor step back a bit as one big shape - tarnished, old, and damaged. Her spears and her body form are the mains read we wanted players to experience first when they see her, so the armor needs to support that.
: Was it a conscious decision within the design team to make Kalista a non-sexualized champion? I understand that Riot gets a lot of guff for making super sexualized champions, and having few female champions that aren't humanoid. Is Kalista an effort to try to step out the door with champions that defy this?
I can shed some light on this. We really wanted to make sure Kalista strikes a substantially different chord when it comes to visual style, both among female ADCs & in general. Early in development our goal was to create a shape language for a non-standardized female archetype (the fallen spectral warrior) that really told a story. For example, her spear visuals (specifically on her back) help hint at what has happened to her. Plus its an awesome way to implement a thematic ammo delivery system - she's got a hell of a lot of tortured soul spears to toss at her enemies.

: The name "concept art" sounds like sketches and quick draw-ups of champions, environments, etc. But, from IronStylus, I've heard it takes a ton of work to make a good concept just like everything else! How long would you say it takes for an average concept piece? Can we have an example of one (that you can tell us about) that was particularly notable in terms of time or difficulty?
It varies, some take about two weeks for just a concept production asset for 3D to make the deliverable. The concept will go through a lot of iteration, and polish. While other characters say like Swain and Zyra, scales in the time frame because of the complexity of the different models needed for concept.
: Will there be anymore skin series like the Headhunter and Commando skin lines in the future?
One of the many things we want to do going forward is explore and expand more of the skin lines universes. This is something we are really excited about.
Felvyne (NA)
: Do you take community's fanmade skins as a base sometimes or only when they are really popular?
We are always reading the forums for great ideas. If one is really strong, we try to analyze the concept, figure out why it is working and where areas it is not. This does not mean has to be the most popular, just that the thematic can work well for that champion.
Azaroi (EUW)
: Have you planned to do a new "collection" like the Pentakill and Dragonslayer one ?
Yes we would love to explore more five man comps and team based thematics.

: Braum's VO is incredibly rich and expansive, a step up from anything we've seen yet, including legendary and ultimate skins. Can we expect to see this level of care and sheer amount of content for future champion releases and visual updates?
I can try to shed some light on this, hopefully a sound guy can chime in too. We wanted to explore Extended V.O on Braum, to ulitzlze more of his personality. He became our first champion to plunge into see what was possible with item purchases, events, etc. There is a lot of problems that can arise when adding new features such as sound extensions for V.O events. So we started slowly and continued to find new ways to explore for future content. I think the team did a great job taking that first step to bringing a deeper overall experience to Braum.

: Is it true that The Bravo Ray was the model for Braum?
> Is it true that The Bravo Ray was the model for Braum? Uhmmm... /:P We took a lot inspirations from multiple sources to get the final look for the big guy.
: Do Braum's tattoos symbolize something? Or are they battle scars of some sort?
The band tattoos are there for visual interest. One goal of ours was to make sure he would fit in his faction thematically. So we made the art to help tie him in together with the rest of the design language of the Freljord.

: I vote for wrestler Braum! just like hollywood Hogan but he would carry a half smashed table instead of shield :)
Braum takes a lot of references from pro wrestling, look at his arm band, looks kinda familiar to the old days of pro wrestling.?
: Man I thought this skin was well on its way already! Gentleman Braum fits his personality so well!
I am curious how he would look in a suit myself? *(how would he fit?)* but what to do with the make of his shield? Any thoughts? Either way I think it is a good idea!
: How long did it take to go from designing him in idea and sketches to the finished product? Was he based on any community suggestions? :)
Braum took a fair amount of time to get him where he needed to be thematically. He actually started off as a female support character. As time went on, we always make time to listen to our player, we knew that we needed another male support. So it was decided, to change gears and make the most manly support in league! Of course this meant he had to have a mustache and muscles to spare.
: Why did you not give him Bag pipes of awesome? Hes scottish, i prayed that you would make his Dance him pull out a Bagpipe (like Yasuo pulls out a flute), and just PLAYYY that BEAUTIFUL SOUND. DAT GOD GRACIOUS BEAUTIFUL BAG PIPE SOUND. Please make a Skin in the Future (could be octobefest) where he Pulls out a Bagpipe and just plays it indefinitely. Have different tunes. HES SCOTTISH DAMMIT! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39-UQ1Urvo4 I see Braum and it brings back Childhood memories of the Scotsman From Samurai Jack, playing his damn, beautiful Bagpipes.... and kicking asss
: What were the inspirations behind Braum's look? There appears to be a heavy influence from a certain animation series from Japan.
Braum's look had many influences from different popular archetypes ranging from movies, games and anime. We really wanted to hit the strong man, yet jovial thematic, while giving him a look that was unique to league.
