: PBE "Something went wrong. Please refresh the page and try again."
I've been experiencing this as well. I can only assume it is due to the high traffic of players creating accounts or too many attempts to create a profile.

From Beta to Alpha to Beta to Live. Whoa, trippy. Lol

: Just like to say thanks
: I didn't read the whole post, only your last question. Yes, I have been wrongly reported. No, I never get banned/chat-restricted. Someone in this world is gonna hate you naturally for no reason at all, be it in real life or internet.
>Someone in this world is gonna hate you naturally for no reason at all, be it in real life or internet. You know, that's sad because it's true. ;_;7
: Because solving your own problems is better than having a machine do them for you.
I agree. Unfortunately, the scope of what a player can do is simply muting someone. It's not much of a solution. :(

: The people who report you for being "too friendly" are sending you a message. They're turning the tables on you. You want this system that can possibly ban someone just because they say something you regard as offensive? Fine, see how you like it. There are actually players, lots of them, that view positive chat as sucking up. "White-Knight syndrome". It sickens them and it's offensive to them. So they report you for it in the same way that you would report them for saying "ggez". Not so fun huh? But then again, that's what happens when the community demands a system that punishes people for offensive behavior when the term 'offensive' in itself if so subjective. Some people don't like happy-go-lucky suck-ups or rampant positivity. On the plus side, Riot Games is run by liberals and as such likely won't ever permaban you for being overtly positive. Their automated robot might just because who knows how it works, but if you send them a ticket they'll likely straighten things out for you, so I really wouldn't worry too much. You're probably good as gold.
> You want this system that can possibly ban someone just because they say something you regard as offensive? That's not what I said though. I said that the system is exploited, if it's used against people who shouldn't be report, then it needs to be fixed; if the system can't be fixed, then a certain regard should be considered for the player base. I've never reported someone for saying "ggez" or anything like that; sure, it's annoying and immature in my opinion, but if someone bothers me, I usually just block them. However, if they're consistently spamming chat, pinging every second, feeding way more than normal, quit a game or constantly harass other players, of course I will report them. I also don't understand your use of the phrase "White-Knight syndrome", as that's synonymous to me of guys online flocking to a girl to get their attention to vanquish the mean, evil people. Lol Is that what you mean? >But then again, that's what happens when the community demands a system that punishes people for offensive behavior when the term 'offensive' in itself if so subjective. I 100% agree with this statement. To be fair, it would probably do everyone good if the report system were thrown out the window, and people flagged as "feeders" were put into their own pool of players. >You're probably good as gold. Heh...heh...if only I weren't Bronze... {{sticker:zombie-brand-clap}}
: Because of the way the community is, when you act overly friendly you are viewed as being annoying and/or condescending, or worst of all white knighting and that is very irritating to people. It is best to know your place in the game
>It is best to know your place in the game What is that supposed to mean? It's a shame people consider kindness to be condescending, especially since you can't _prove_ to someone you're being sincere over the internet, but sometimes you just have to give them the benefit of the doubt. If not, there's always the mute button - I don't know why people don't make more use of it.
: I play with a few of my friends sometimes, and we like to curse and fuck around with each other. But we NEVER talk or say anything offensive to the other players on the team. What happens within our circle stays within our circle. Like last game. We were premade 3 with 2 other people, Rengar and Ahri. We were messing around with each other and the Rengar joined in. He was cool. Note : we NEVER said anything to ahri other than "please stop complaining every 5 minutes" (I said that). She was raging at us because we were down 3 deaths (in total, not individual meaning our team was 2 kills while they were 5) The enemy team decided to fuck around like we were doing in all chat, and we were just playing around and cursing at each other (dont worry it was civilized lol) examples : lol gg ez, get rekt, fucking easy game, im challenjour, bronzies, etc. Then the Ahri decided to get all butthurt for some reason and say in all chat "report my team please they're being really rude." Note: WE NEVER TALKED TO AHRI. WE EVEN TOLD HER WE WERE PREMADE AFTER SHE SAID THAT IN ALL CHAT. The enemy team even said that we were just joking but nah, Ahri wanted to be a little bitch. So she reported all of us. And you know what? That report is probably gonna bite me in the ass sooner or later because of Riot's flawed system that only counts frequency of reports. **And if they do read my chat logs, they purposely remove everyone else's chat to make it seem like i was cursing out everybody.** If i get these types of people in every other game, then I'm probably gonna get banned. tldr add a button that disables communication with a selected team mate. I don't want you to see what I'm typing to my friends and the enemies anyway.
Yeah, playful banter is always cool in my book. I can tell when people are being jovial with myself or one another, but some people seem to not pick up on it so well (as perhaps the appeal of an online game versus activities in person). With her reporting every single person, I'm sure _hopefully_ Riot would notice and say, "Hrm, something's amiss here." But yeah, that would be a neat feature to include in the game, but I doubt it would make it for "something something wanting all players to be included in the experience" sort of thing. >.<

: Everyone's almost expected to? I've played a lot of games (not League) where gg is ONLY used sarcastically. It depends on the person's interpretation of the phrase.
Maybe it's a remnant from back in the Starcraft days, where everyone would say "gl hf ds" and "gg wp" at the end of every match. But true, I imagine some people might take it sarcastically, especially if they're not particularly happy about how the game turns out for them.
: If you're just being friendly then the reports won't hurt you (as mentioned in the other thread). If someone is intent on being toxic and doesn't want you to even be friendly with them, it's best to not talk to them. When I said what you quoted, I meant refraining from toxic chat, not refraining from chatting at all.
> If someone is intent on being toxic and doesn't want you to even be friendly with them, it's best to not talk to them. **Very** true, _unfortunately_. I don't like using the mute button, but sometimes it's just what's appropriate. One player told me I was bothering them, in a polite manner, and that they were muting me because they felt distracted, which I can 100% understand. I try not to mute people when I can help it, in case they're still willing to work as a team, but sometimes it's a necessity. ^^;
: Tribunal down?
Good question. I've never seen it up since I've started, and it's unfortunate. I know there's a good lot of good people who'd like to help better the community. We'll probably never see it come back, as it'll be replaced by an automated system I'm sure tons of people will exploit. ^^;
: Back when I started, I got that notification warning once for verbal abuse reports. I stopped doing what I was doing, and poof, haven't had one since. I don't see what's so hard about holding your tongue so you don't get in trouble.
> I don't see what's so hard about holding your tongue so you don't get in trouble. That would be much more understandable if it didn't seem like a punishment. People heckle others for being friendly and talking to others, so the friendly people need to stop talking while the rude ones go about what they're doing? I see that it helps with avoiding bullying, but I don't feel that's right, to have someone stop doing what they enjoy about a game when it's not negative in any way. Some people are social - it's a multiplayer game. To be punished for that is a bit arbitrary in my opinion.
: this is too true. there are so many times where my team will stomp pretty hard, not bm or type anything in all chat, and in the ending screen lobby i'll say something like "gg that was fun :D" and end up getting reported for verbal abuse. it's pretty stupid lol
> i'll say something like "gg that was fun :D" and end up getting reported for verbal abuse. Yeah, that's odd, definitely. Everyone's almost expected of to say "GG WP" at the end, right? So why would saying it in the post-game lobby be considered sarcastic or rude? That's rather frustrating. :S
: The notification happens whether the report is valid or not. It just happens when you've been reported in a large percentage of your games. When you *do* get punished, the system will have already scanned your chat logs and present you with a reform card that shows your recent chat where you were reported. If the system doesn't find any toxic activity you won't get punished though. If you do want some of your chat logs before that, you can try submitting a [Support Ticket](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and asking them for it, or asking [Lyte on his ask.fm page](http://ask.fm/RiotLyte). The people that can pull logs don't socialize much on the forums. You're more likely to just get general information from an Arbiter here.
>When you do get punished, the system will have already scanned your chat logs and present you with a reform card that shows your recent chat where you were reported. Oh, that's actually very reassuring. When you do say that though, is this an automated system looking for key words or actual people checking this? Because I thought that's what the Tribunal was for (which I've yet to see ever actually online since I've started playing). That's awesome information though, about logs. It's much appreciated it! Whenever someone does report me for whatever reason, I'll make sure to grab a log, just in case! I appreciate the help!
: Toxic Player Atmosphere - Reported for Being Friendly?
As I mentioned at the bottom of my post, I would actually like to say a special thank you to the user daughterofchaos - in our first game, a random match, they were quite friendly and were a great help to the team. Alongside everyone else, we were all rearing to group together again to play another game. It's not very often when you meet with complete strangers, hop onto Skype with them and have fun. We went on a few games with our party wagon and called it a night. The next day, we grouped up again and met even more strangers who we were able to win over with affection and fun, and again, we grouped up and had a fun game (even despite losing). I was having a particularly down day, but their adamant effort to involve me in having fun with strangers more than what I would otherwise do really did a 180 for my mood and it was well worth it. Thanks for all the fun! Looking forward to meeting some of y'all on the Rift too, to whomever is reading this! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
