: Noob problems...?
New players start playing League every day, and while you're new you will be matched up with people of similar skill (or very low level accounts created by smurfs, but these will quickly be escalated to play with other smurfs, so you won't see them for long if at all). Welcome to League of Legends! Thanks for giving the game and community a chance. Consider using the Boards to ask for help or tips if you find yourself getting stuck while learning the game. Also: Don't be afraid to lose. It's part of learning, and League is a permanent learning experience since it's always changing. Just do your best and try to do better next time!
: Just Some Quality of Life Things
I also am colourblind and I agree!~
: Why is there so much advertising for League?
I've recommended this game to at least 45 different friends (online and IRL) and while not all of them have stuck with the game, many of them did at least play for a season if they aren't still playing to this day. Also, you probably found out about this game via advertising (or having someone recommend the game to you) so.... does that not speak for itself?
: How many Neurons would be necessary for a learning AI in League?
I know you said just wondering, but I feel the need to say this anyway: _Bot accounts are not allowed in League_. I'm not saying that you are intending to make one, but I'm just saying that as a preemptive bit of information just in case.

I don't do it for ranked but it makes normals way better to play. Could it possibly be that you are playing in normals while high (a queue that is typically seen as less competitive than ranked) and in ranked while not high? They may look similar enough, but each queue has separate MMRs and intentions (typically people are trying their best champions in Ranked, while they are playing whatever in normals). Perhaps you just need to be high to play well, but I suspect that there may be a little more to it than that.
: are we ever going to get a replacement for the loss of intervention?
I'm not sure being able to deal out extremely high damage per second while simultaneously getting a shield that literally makes you invincible is a combination that is all that healthy for the game, let alone getting a reset on the invincibility (most likely for getting a kill like most other resets in the game).. As far as putting it on an enchanter I wouldn't get your hopes up too high sadly... The last true enchanter we got (besides Yuumi) was Nami in 2013. It could very well be a few seasons again before we get another enchanter (2023 enchanter, anyone?) and even then the invincibility support is somewhat covered by Taric (and to a lesser degree, Zilean). This is not to say that it couldn't happen, but I don't think it would happen soon.

: I receive Chat Ban for this????
I'd guess that you received a punishment for constantly arguing in chat. While it's fine to try and quickly settle a difference if you spend the entire game doing that to the point where it becomes a trend across several games, I think there might be an issue. Constant arguments about the same thing are incessant and relatively pointless if it just drags on and on forever... plus it just fosters an increasingly negative mood for your teammates. Suggestion: While it's fine to try and settle your differences for a short while, if you can't find some agreement with the other player just **mute them** and move on. You'll spend more time playing the game instead of typing and you might experience a more positive (or at least less negative) mood across your games. It's a pretty minor offense so this might seem trivial, but we do appreciate you not intentionally being aggressive or toxic to your teammates. Constant arguing (even with good intention) just eventually starts to cross into the same territory if it never resolves ^^; {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-rainbows}}

For those of us that like to play Twisted Treeline but also want to participate in League Events (especially those with Token Grinding, Missions, and other Passes) we basically feel punished if we play Twisted Treeline since it's excluded from those features almost always. :( I know Twisted Treeline is probably the least popular mode right now, but we who do play it would play it more if we weren't forced to stop play it whenever an event comes around! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-rainbows}}

: Collective thoughts on Kalista updates/
I don't personally think this would solve Kalista (it sounds like an overall nerf to her kit to me and if you buff her numbers to make up for it I'm afraid she'll turn into a Draven with more tools) but I love any attempt at talking about her. 1. You never said what you'd be doing with her passive besides taking the hop off of it. Would it just remain as her AutoAttack modifier (90% damage, can't be cancelled unless vision is lost on target)? Would it become something else? * While I feel like giving Kalista E an indicator would help new players pick her up, I feel like it would also be exploited even more by pros. For a long, long time Cho'Gath's execute had a really bad indicator because it was considered to be a "necessary challenge" for his kit, and I feel like the same would be argued here for Kalista. * I think the direction you took on her hops was interesting though. Not sure it would be the best possible way of doing it (her hops feel like a lot of her identity to me personally) but I'd be interested in at least exploring the option.

: About Sona's lore...
I like to believe that Sona holds a very pivotal position in the Lore of League of Legends, and that is why we've seen hints of her everywhere without seeing a direct update to her yet. I feel like she needs a lot of other pieces of lore built up before she can reveal her own~ Pure speculation, but I don't think it's all that unlikely that something like this could be how Riot is operating. If nothing else it makes me feel good.

Nexus Blitz was intended to become a permanent gamemode if it succeeded enough in Riot's eyes. They never claimed it would for sure be permanent, especially right out of the get go. Primary reason they can get away with that for Teamfight Tactics is because the idea has been around for awhile and has shown significant promise. There's always the chance it fails a few months down the road, but so far it has been very popular (even if it's not your personal cup of tea). I've convinced friends to come back to League simply because they like the Teamfight Tactics gamemode and found that Summoner's Rift wasn't their cup of tea.

You may submit a [Support Ticket to Riot Support](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and select "Account management, data requests, or deletion" as your Request Type. Filling out the rest of the boxes with applicable information will allow Riot Games to delete your account. I would also advise against permanently closing your account because **_you CANNOT get it back_** even if you decide three or four years from now that you want to give League of Legends another try. : rethink ranked mode
I don't speak French unfortunately but I'll try to respond as best as I can. #English: How would you go about determining if someone has a healthy mentality for ranked? While it certainly sounds nice to just "check every single player's mentality through a survey" how would you go about making this survey work? Would you have to take it every time before you queue up for a ranked game? Would it happen every patch? Every 3 months? Every season? What would even be on the survey? "Do you flame people?"? I'm not sure a questionnaire like this could accurately tell if someone has a tendency to easily give up or not. How would you get around people lying or just choosing "the correct answers" instead of what they actually believe / would do? Cheating is also very possible on these sorts of things. I love League of Legends as well and toxic players do make it more difficult to enjoy some games, but the most you can do unfortunately is focus on yourself and doing your part as well as you can every game. You will eventually climb the ranks if you play enough games and do well in as many of them as possible! ^^ (This message will be converted into French via Google Translate below, since I don't speak French unfortunately. :( Apologies in advance for any inaccuracies in the translation!)

: At what time does Riot usually release new champs/skins and start events?
I don't know a hard time Riot uses for everything, but I would suggest keeping in mind that Riot Games primarily operates out of the Pacific Coast, and that Rioters likely have to go to work and then activate the new event / content / patch / whatever. So if (for example) it's 7AM for you on the East Coast, it's only 4AM at Riot Games HQ in California. Sorry that I don't know the exact time Riot uses to release whatever content (they usually specify per event if it's anything particularly outside of the norm). My best guess would be that you can expect updates to drop anywhere from midnight to just a bit after noon, Pacific Time, but that's just a guess.

Chests should have the potential to reveal whatever content **is available at the time that you open the chest, regardless of when you earned it**. (I.e. a chest you received three months ago but only opened today could possibly reveal one of the new Arcade skins). Hope this helps!

: HOW TO CHANGE GRAPHICS OUTSIDE GAME??
Have you tried pressing Control and the Up / Down Arrow Keys? To my knowledge that will change the size of the client. : When is "My shop" coming?
: (to be) support main needs Mid-lane help
If you're looking for champions with very strong roaming potential, I'd recommend Talon, Katarina, or Aurelion Sol. All three of these champions are notoriously good at roaming (especially to a bot lane that isn't paying attention) to farm double kills. Galio may be another champion to consider. He's not as common midlane anymore, but he's still viable there in my opinion. He's beefy (like Thresh and Braum are) and his engage and peel is outstanding. His ultimate would also allow for some roaming plays, although I'd say his roaming isn't quite as good as Katarina or Talon or the like. Nocturne is an off meta midlaner that I like to pick sometimes, and he is outstanding as far as roaming is concerned. Merely leaving lane and pressing R is enough to scare most sidelaners back to their tower. He has struggles with a somewhat simplistic kit and getting poked out, but you might consider him for some matchups. If you're going to be running Teleport, you can make some other champions decent picks as well if roaming is your main concern. Renekton is one of the strongest early game champions and his ability to kill his laner and then teleport for a play elsewhere is practically unmatched. He does fall off, but if you're looking to roam and push your (hopeful) lead early on he might be the guy for you! Kennen also has fairly good ganks with Teleport combined with his Ultimate. He's also viable in several positions (Top/Mid/Bottom) so he could be a pick you can use in multiple situations. ^^; I'm not 100% sure I understood your question correctly, but I'm happy to help as best as I can. Worst case scenario, try something out for yourself and see what you can do with it! You'll eventually get a chance to try something else if it doesn't work out for you.

I was about to write this post (just less eloquently than you). : This is an atrociously bad example. He's the poster child for 'spam enough games for statistics to work in your favor.' He's playing a champion that doesn't have the ability to win most lanes, but also doesn't lose. Mixed with the binary nature of top lane, he can just AFK push for the entirety of the game and rely on his team mates to carry him; since he usually can't lose the lane, the 800+ games he spammed eventually even out in his favor. His history probably shows extremely low kill participation on his wins, and any games with high kill participation (meaning his team couldn't carry him and he had to actually participate in team fights) are likely losses, similar to Tryndamere players.

I've successfully pulled off his playstyle a couple times before with a willing team. The whole point is that you can't be reported for asking your team if they'd be willing to try something besides the standard positioning format that we've played with since the end of Season 1. If they agree to try it then there's nothing they can report you for (so long as it's clear that you are trying to win) and if they don't agree to try it then simply be safe and play your role more traditionally^ * ^You can play an uncommon champion in a position (Zyra Jungle, Master Yi Mid, Zac Support, Sona Top, etc.) even if your team decides that it doesn't want to try some nonstandard positioning ideas you bring up -- **it's significantly harder to be punished for playing the role you were assigned in a traditional manner, even if you're playing that role with a nontraditional champion for said role**. I've played this game for ages now and I do my fair share of weird picks (Sona Jungle, Katarina Jungle, Nocturne Mid, Aurelion Sol Top, Blitzcrank Top, Thresh ADC, Kindred Support, etc.) and I have never been punished for this since I follow the common courtesy I detailed above. I genuinely believe that others would not be punished as well if they did the same since it'd be clear they are respecting their teammates and are trying to win. Your behavior in chat can save you even if you happen to have a bad game afterward (it happens to everyone sometimes).

Generally speaking the solution to toxicity is to queue up with friendly people as often as you can and try to promote a friendly attitude yourself. There's not a whole lot that can be done to change people with awful attitudes, but not making their attitudes worse is generally a decent start. Reporting people who genuinely deserve to be reported is a good method too, because some people simply can't clean themselves up. ^^;

Unless a Rioter gives us some information on this, we don't know sadly. :( Hopefully Odyssey might come back later this year or something!

: I was penalized and have no idea why, how do I find out?
You can send a ticket to [Riot Support](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and select "Discuss a personal suspension or restriction" as your request type. Fill in the rest of the boxes with your story and someone on the Riot Support Team should be able to tell you more about the punishment recently inflicted onto your account. Good luck! {{sticker:sg-syndra}}
: Should i keep playing WW
Warwick is pretty strong right now if you're good with him. He's got a few bugs but beyond that he's fairly good into most comps. ^^ I'd say stick with him if you enjoy him.

https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/rune-page-planner# This could be a useful tool to use. https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Runes_Reforged#Paths You could also click on each of the options in here, copy and paste the descriptions into an excel spreadsheet or a word document or something. You could also consider taking a screenshot of the client and then cropping that and pasting the cropped image onto a document. Not the most desirable options, but they are options I guess! ^^; Sorry!

: What role/Champ should I play? pls help!!
All roles have champions that are aggressive and look to dominate the early parts of the game and snowball leads into a relatively early victory... hopefully! #Top Lane Top Laners have champions like Renekton, Pantheon, Kennen, Gnar, Quinn, and Illaoi (just to name a few) who look to bully their opponent in lane * Renekton and Pantheon look to spread their lead to other parts of the map usually, so they will typically teleport (or Pantheon will use his ultimate) to another lane in order to snowball their lead even more. * Illaoi tends to stay within her lane and constantly bully her opponent, as most of her power is in her tentacles which spawn periodically around her (therefore making it difficult and time consuming to set up her tentacles again in another lane, hence why she doesn't like to move around the map as much). * Top Lane tends to be a brewing pot for unconventional bullies, so sometimes certain ranged champions will be taken into the top lane that will bully the melee champions that traditionally go top. Champions like Gnar, Quinn, Jayce, Vayne, and Neeko are all good examples of ranged champions that abuse their ranged advantage over their typically melee opponent. #Jungle Junglers are perhaps some of the easiest champions to be aggressive with as they roam around the entire map and have plentiful opportunities to assist their allied lanes by 'ganking' them, which is essentially coming to an allied lane with hopes of killing the enemy laner, or at least damaging them enough to make them have to leave their lane and recall. Make sure you have smite unlocked and equipped before you try to jungle though!! It's necessary. Pretty much any jungler can and should be aggressive, it's more about when and how they can be aggressive. * Champions such as Kindred, Xin Zhao, and Graves are very strong at level 2 and tend to look for extremely early ganks or attempt to fight the other jungler if they happen to meet up early (as their early strength tends to make extremely early fights favor themselves) * Champions like Amumu, Evelynn, Skarner, and Vi tend to prefer to farm peacefully until they reach level 6. * While every champion is stronger at level 6 than they were at earlier levels, these champions tend to need their ultimate ability in order to successfully win a gank or a fight. These champions also tend to have stronger ultimate abilities than some of the level 2 junglers (although this is not always the case!) * Some champions such as Shaco and Ivern tend to excel at invading their opponent's jungle and stealing their camps. Denying the opponent farm drastically cuts their ability to gather gold for items and experience for leveling up their abilities, which can essentially eliminate them from the game if done properly. #Middle Lane Middle lane is often seen as the lane with the highest ability to solo carry a game. While League of Legends is a team game and no champion or role can effectively single handedly carry every single game, typically midlaners have the highest chance of being able to carry the game. * Midlaners are positioned at the middle of the map, placing themselves in an ideal position to roam to other lanes (roams are essentially ganks but done by positions other than the Jungler). They can make it to any lane or even their Jungler's side faster than any other position can. * Mid Lane features many champions with very strong burst capabilities, which makes killing non tanky champions (often called 'squishies') their main goal. That being said, not every champion in Mid Lane is as good as another at carrying games and being aggressive, much like Top Lane from before: * Champions such as Talon, Zed, Katarina, Diana, Ahri, and Yasuo are assassins that excel at reaching level 6 and then bursting down their lane opponent a few times. Afterward, they love to roam down botlane, often to assist their jungler in a simultaneous gank in the bottom lane. Bottom lane tends to be inhabited by at least one if not two squishy champions, making it an ideal place to rack up some kills and some gold! * Fun Fact: Talon is considered to have the highest chance of getting the first kill of the game by many people due to a statistic Riot put out awhile ago that claimed that Talon gets the first kill of the game in 25% of all games. * Champions such as Aurelion Sol, Xerath, Vel'Koz, Lux, and Ziggs prefer to stay farther away from their opponents and harass them relentlessly from afar. These champions aren't quite as quick or bursty as their assassin counterparts and usually require time to acquire items and experience before they truly becoming damage powerhouses, however they are more safe and usually come with some abilities to lockdown their opponents' ability to move for a short time (often called Crowd Control, or CC for short). These champions are great for their jungler as their CC locks down their lane opponent in place long enough for their jungler to assist them greatly in getting damage dealt and early kills secured. * These champions can roam, but they have to be careful as they are very fragile and prefer to hide behind their team rather than escape from up close and personal situations! * While not typically very aggressive early on, scaling champions such as Ryze, Veigar, and Cassiopeia become DPS powerhouses later into the game, and can carry games if they are given time to acquire the items they need in order to function efficiently. # Bottom Lane Bottom Laners have a peculiar challenge because they share their lane with a support by their side, making a total of four people typically present in the bottom lane. This allows for TONS of creative combinations of champions to be selected, but I won't get into that here. I'll list some champions that tend to be aggressive, early game bullies regardless of their allied support. * Draven is nearly an unmatched horror when he gets ahead. His starting damage is shockingly high and he HURTS to be hit by. A Draven that gets ahead early is a menace to everyone on the opposing team, presuming he knows how to keep himself alive! * Caitlyn and Ashe (especially Caitlyn) tends to abuse their extremely long range (even for a marksman) to constantly be harassing their lane opponents. Played right, they can be a brutal matchup as they can simultaneously deal damage to the other team while being far enough back to be relatively safe. * Ezreal, and Tristana can play fairly aggressively due to their high burst damage and crazy damage output versus towers. While they may prefer to scale, they certainly hurt if they are used to their full extent early in the game by a skilled player! #Support Supports share the same lane as their Bottom Laners and typically aren't known for carrying games in very direct ways (i.e. dealing lots of damage). Instead, they tend to influence the game more subtly: through crowd control, vision, keeping their allies alive, engaging on the enemy team, and sometimes providing an extra source of damage for their team. Supports tend to rely more heavily on nuances of macro play (general game strategy) more than most other roles and they tend to have more carry potential in higher levels of play, but they can still dominate in every level of play if played well! * Hook champions tend to be extremely aggressive as they are constantly looking for opponents that are out of place so they can be initiated upon, effectively starting a fight. Blitzcrank, Thresh, Pyke, and Nautilus all are the big hook champions currently, and they can be nightmarish if played by a skilled player. * Alistar, Leona, Morgana, and Rakan are also an incredible engage champions. Even though they lack a hook, they still does a similar job. * I seriously recommend you give these guys a chance because they are incredibly strong, especially when first learning the game. * Some champions are picked into the support position because they can deal tons of damage to their opponents. While they might sacrifice an extra tank or initiator for your team, you do get even more damage in exchange. Sometimes it's the right call! Bard, Brand, Fiddlesticks, Lux, Pyke, Zyra, Teemo, Veigar, Vel'Koz, Zilean, and Sona are all good examples of this. * You can carry in less aggressive ways by enabling your teammates, such as with healing and shielding champions like Sona, Janna, Nami, Yuumi, Lulu, Karma, etc. These champions do have ways to deal out some big damage, but their biggest purpose is often to help keep their allies alive. #Disclaimers! * You will lose some games that are out of your control no matter who you play and where. It's all about improving your own play in order to minimize the games where this happens! * **ANY CHAMPION can carry a game if played well.** Some just do it easier or in different ways than others. * Playing ARAM and Co-Op vs AI are good ways to familiarize yourself with many champions quickly in low pressure environments. Try to give every champion a chance once in awhile -- you might discover you like something you weren't expecting to! * The champions I listed above are not the only champions of that type (for example, Shyvana is a level 6 Jungler that I didn't mention). Guides can be found for champions online or through other information sources such as the League Boards (you are here!) or through personal experience. * Welcome to League of Legends, I hope you have a great day! ~~sorry for the long read~~ {{sticker:sg-syndra}}
