: Sorry youre being downvoted, but thats largely due to the body of your post complaining about a new champion instead of accepting the L and learning from it. Yuumi herself is not a threat, don't think of her as one. she's an item more than she is a champion. But the title is completely accurate, and your second sentence explains it. Back in 2013,Riot released Ultra Rapid Fire as an April Fool's game, but the insanely fast pace and reduced strategy/micro-managing ended up making the original game feel muddy and restrictive by comparison; So people began to lose interest. People begged for URF back, so Riot released it a few more times, but each time the same problem happened. People began to play en masse, get addicted to URF and then quit in larger numbers once URF went away again. Enabling it permanently would reduce the incentive to play Ranked so Riot fought for a middle ground - Making every item give ridiculous mana and/or CDR and making refund mechanics more prevalent and easy to use leads to the game feeling faster paced and taking the worries of mana away from the game after lane phase. This, by design, URF-ifies Ranked League of Legends. And thats why damage is so high, thats why CDR is free, thats why mana means nothing outside of lane. It all stemmed from Riot's desperate attempt to make the game more like URF and attempt to regain the players who got addicted and quit, or reduce and prevent players from quitting once URF is taken down. But really, there's a ton of items with CDR that just simply don't need to have it. {{item:3001}} {{item:3194}} {{item:3102}} {{item:3147}} {{item:3905}} {{item:3071}} {{item:3163}} {{item:3069}} {{item:3401}} {{item:3109}}{{item:3157}} Half of these either don't build out of anything with CDR (namely the first two) or could have a CDR item replaced with ... anything else. Banshees: (partial revert) {{item:1057}} {{item:1026}} {{item:3211}} Duskblade: (partial revert) {{item:3134}} {{item:1037}} Twin Shadows: {{item:3113}} {{item:3145}} The Black Cleaver: Keep its recipe, reduce to 10% CDR. Malmortius: {{item:3155}} {{item:1036}} {{item:1033}} Knight's Vow: {{item:1031}} {{item:1011}} Zhonya's: (Partial revert) {{item:3191}} {{item:1058}} {{item:2420}}
The thing is, we actually won that game against the Yuumi support, but considering her, the enemy Sylas, and me asking my team politely like, 6 times to just group because we're better in full teamfights, it felt like pulling teeth.

: Most overpowered champions of all time
AP Yi isn't even on this list, the hell.
: So what is going on exactly that is destroying all the "wild magic"? Is it actually just Zed and the shadow ninjas? is it Ionian civilization and development like deforestation or something? Is it the Watchers? Is it Lissandra? Is it Jinx? Is it Gangplank's revenge? Is it the Black Mist? Is it Lucian's quest to the Shadow Isles? Is it Xerath? Is it Azir's return to Shurima? Is it Sivir's link to Azir? Is it another plot-line that will never be resolved?
TUNE IN NEXT YEAR, WHEN WE GIVE ANOTHER 30 SECOND CLIP THAT MAY OR MAY NOT ANSWER ONE OF THESE QUESTIONS!
: So tell me your worst LoL jokes
This game is completely balanced.
: Hmm, the only champion that I play who gets screwed over by this is {{champion:69}}, however it's definitely got counterplay in that they need to time it right, so I don't really care.

: Why is Lee Sin... allowed to be Lee Sin?
It's because he sells skins. Probably the most popular champion since his release.
: Are we going to ever see changes to Jayce that will make him less toxic?
: Death Lotus PBE change
I read an April Fool's joke, and I hope it god it actually is one.
: Damage Creep is a myth; however, there is a glaring problem with damage in this game..
This was an incredibly long way to say "RIOT, FUCKING BUFF TOWERS ALREADY".
: I'm growing tired of entertaining your whims, Riot.
I gave up quite a while ago, only jump back on every so often to see what's been bitched about recently. If you're truly fed up, just tell them via your wallet that you're done with the game, and go find something else to spend time / money with.
: That's kinda fucked up considering they added the quote for the kid who died.
And that's exactly why it's so funny.

: Here's the problem(s) with Bronze players.
Apologies if this is already mentioned, but I feel like the biggest thing holding back players is: **Lack of Gauging Current Power Levels** It's mainly a general ignorance to the concept of snowballing. They don't understand that X champion is stronger than them at a given moment, or that the enemy team is in a better position to teamfight at X instant. If they feed, they never recover and start to blame their teammates. If they start carrying, they get cocky and overextend / try to 1v5. League of Legends is still a team game, and while there are tons of other factors that go into why they're still Bronze, I feel like this is the reason they all stem from.
: With The New Galio, the Commando Skin For Him
All of his new splashes look fucking phenomenal.

: While I wouldn't argue with a flat out buff, I think his E is fun and important part of his kit. Cho'Gath's Q and W both have long cooldowns and can be avoided fairly easily due to long casting animations. His E gives him a form of consistent damage that helps him deal with mobile melee heroes that would otherwise have their way with him after dodging his abilities. Plus its fun to apply corrupting potion DOT to your opponent when he's standing behind minions! :D
I think it's a good skill, yes, but it's probably the worst toggle spell in the game simply because there's no REASON to toggle it. Yeah, I know you should toggle it off when you're trying to siege someone's tower, but that's only early on in the game. Mid to late, Cho should be the one taking turret shots anyway. I'm hoping that Riot gives Cho players incentive to toggle it off, AKA possibly a flat armor / MR buff without the spikes flying. That way Cho players can choose if they need to be bulkier or if they can forgo it for extra damage.
Xholu (NA)
: Lets Talk Cho'Gath
Or they can actually buff his E instead of constantly messing around with his ult. Having 3 skills plus a decent ult is better than 2.5 skills and an overpowered ult.
: My secret desire for Shyvana
Uh, isn't that essentially what they did with Gnar? His tiny form has higher base attack speed and MS (if I recall correctly), but Mega is larger, tankier, but attacks more slowly. It doesn't seem too hard to re-code Shyv's Dragon Form to act similarly.
: Maybe make it so hitting champions with Lay Waste reduces the cooldown by one second? This rewards a good Karthus player while not giving bad Karthus players more ways to mindlessly kill you.
If Karthus were released today, this would be part of his kit.
PiVoRx (EUNE)
: Riot please stop living in 2010, Lee Sin is not skillful, hes broken
Remember, Riot is fully aware of Lee Sin. Any other dev team would've taken action and nerfed his kit. But they also said that they like him in competitive, so by god they will never let him be nerfed out of viability for even one patch. And of course, we can NEVER forget the time that potential nerfs were reverted because 'it'd upset Lee's fanbase'. Fuck this champion.
Verdade (EUNE)
: {{champion:40}} uhmm? 150/80/110/100 {{champion:101}} UNLIMITED PO... *sigh* 120/110/80/100
Doesn't Janna level her tornado last, usually? So it'd be a static 90 for most of the game. Xerath's passive helps restore mana, and those mana costs are required due to his relative safety.
: Why the fuck does Leblanc's chain cost a measly 40 mana?
Because mana-gating champs is an archaic notion. :^)

Any game that has tournaments and awards prizes / reputation to people will be competitive by default, and Riot's done their hardest to shove E-sports down our throats over the last few years. Everyone wants to be in your shoes, thus the mentality. Even if Riot does consistently balance for high elo, the mentality will still be there, though you'd see more champion diversity. Personally they need more than three fucking bans for each team, but what do I know. I'm not with the balance team. :^)
: Today i made it to 0.0445% of top players
That's honestly one of the bigger reasons why I stopped playing. I managed to get into Plat 5 but I started thinking to myself, "Gee, I assume the higher up I go, the more meta everything will be because everyone up here are so HELLBENT on winning via the strongest (read: OP for patch) teamcomps". Seriously though, congrats on Masters. Few people can ever say that they got that high in the entire world.
: League of Legends, then vs now
I never thought I'd end up agreeing with a Riven player. Have an upvote.
: 1/27 pbe changes... Are you trying to kill AP chogath?
AP Cho was sleeper for a long time, since he has such great ratios on his spells. With this change...it'll definitely remove full AP Cho, but you could...still technically do it? I'd usually get Rod of Ages as a first item, followed by solely damage items like Rabby's and Abyssal. Personally I'm more annoyed at the fact that Riot's been constantly upgrading /changing his ULT and not the weak-ass toggle spell that is never toggled off. He really needs some love for his E; even if it's a simple armor / MR buff when it's turned off, giving him SOME incentive to switch back and forth.
Skorch (NA)
: Cho Gath will be literally unplayable with this change.
At some point, he needs to ignore unit collision. It'd be so sad to see MEGA'Gath trip over a minion and get immobilized.
: League Of Nostalgia
12/12/2013 Good times....
: Well I guess I'd prefer risking sounding sarcastic than acting like his opinion is not even wanted. It wasn't meant to be sarcastic btw.
It's cool, I realized I was just venting in my OP and should've backed it up with reasons to improve them.
: Would you be happy if the next tier turret in a lane received a temporary defense buff after the tower before it dies? This would slow down killing multiple tiers of a single lane in quick succession. Would you prefer an activated buff like Dota 2 has? Or would you rather they simply be much stronger at all times? Any other solution you would like to propose?
They need to be stronger, period. All of them. If Riot thinks their health is good, then buff damage, and vice-versa. I mean, I don't actively play anymore, but just watching streamers on Twitch, I see games ending WAY too fucking early. For the Nexus turrets specifically, they should take a page out of Clash of Clans' book with the way they do Inferno Towers. Either they start off light and ramp up in damage (which I believe they did earlier), or strike at multiple targets simultaneously with lasers. Hell, they could have one of these effects on each and make the enemy team think about which to take out first.
Rioter Comments
: How is that snowbally? He has those bonuses whether he's fed or not.
If he gets fed, he will have an item advantage against enemies. This will cause him to win skirmishes very easily, and if someone is able to get away from him (via Thresh lantern or something else), he'll just use those increased bonuses to catch up. I know it's just speculation, I can't help but try to analyze the new kits.
Venomar (NA)
: He looks busted AF TBH.
"Enemy champions with less than half health leave behind a _**global**_ blood trail leading to them and are Blood Hunted. Warwick has increased attack speed against Blood Hunted targets and massively increased out-of-combat movement speed when moving toward them. These bonuses are _**tripled**_ against enemies with very low health." Yeah, that's snowbally as hell. If he gets a few kills, good luck getting away if he wants to pick fights.
PiVoRx (EUNE)
: When 10 bans will come what will reach 100% ban rate, and what Riot will do with such champions?
Maybe with so many bans, Riot will finally start balancing the game properly. Doesn't matter how popular some champs are if they have extremely high ban rates.
: The problem is Janna is 100% a support. She basically gives her power as a champion to the ADC - as a standalone champion, Janna isnt very good. She is among the worst champions in the game to assert any lane dominance or lane pressure. However, she is worth picking because she allows your ADC to become 1.5x as strong. By playing Janna (as a support main, she is my second most played) youre basically going double or nothing on your ADC being able to carry. You arent going to be setting up plays as with Blitz or Alistar. You arent going to become a secondary AP carry with Zyra. She is effective at what she does, but she lives and falls by what she does. If your ADC isnt good at positioning, you arent going to be able to do anything to win - essentially giving a dead bot lane. An Alistar is still extremely and uniquely useful even if his ADC is feeding. Janna's usefulness exponentially diminishes with a feeding ADC.
People used to actually take her mid back in the day, and once the LCS started trying it she subsequently got kneecapped with the nerf bat since her tornadoes were instantly killing minion waves.
: FYI: There is nothing wrong with playing a tank midlane.
It was a while ago, but I once went Cho mid against a Talon (while I would normally build AP on mid-cho, I decided to go tank probably because our top was squishy). Once I finished frozen heart as a first item, he couldn't do shit to me and I wiped the floor with him. Tanks definitely have a spot in mid lane for certain team compositions.

I haven't seen this video in years and I heard it completely in his voice.
: He's a favorite of Riot, so no matter what, he will ALWAYS be in the meta. It's just an unfortunate truth we all have to accept. plus, his play rate means that all his players will come to defend any nerfs that people have in mind against him. I'd just ban him if you have a ton of trouble with him. Yea, he's super annoying to play against I know, but honestly there are worse offenders of obnoxious mobility, damage, and tankiness. {{champion:77}} Cough*
Technically you don't HAVE to accept it; Lee was one of the handful of reasons that I stopped playing League period.
: Towers need a buff really bad
Towers should get progressively stronger as you approach the nexus, 'completely blows my mind as to why Riot hasn't done this yet. The nexus towers should be multi-target and slowly ramp up over time to deal with super minions.
: I'd love to see literally any champion solo baron with 2 items and a component.

What Im NOT fine with is...well everything else. The damage, while good early, is pretty bad late game if you dont have some AD items, your sustain worsens over time, and 1 slow stops you indefinitely.
The correct fix is to give him immunity to CC while in passive mode. Everything else is fine.

I was thinking that when off, it allows him to shoot out spikes, but when on, he gets a resistance boost (i.e. spiky exterior). the only point to toggling it off is so you don't draw turret aggro
Yes, right NOW it's like that. Yet whenever he turns his E off, nothing happens. I'd want there to be some other incentive to not have the constant spikes.
Meddler (NA)
: Initial reaction is that we'd be better off putting power elsewhere. Cho's got really long cast times on all his abilities, that allows them to be much more impactful than normal though and gives him a heavy, powerful feeling that's pretty distinct.
I'd pray that you guys are thinking about enhancing Vorpal Spikes; Cho's got all of his power smashed into three abilities and here VP is being a second passive for him. If you still want it to be a toggle spell, can it at least give him a benefit when turned off? I was thinking that when off, it allows him to shoot out spikes, but when on, he gets a resistance boost (i.e. spiky exterior).
: I'm sick and tired of seeing the same few champs in all my games
One of the big reasons I stopped playing. Consistent FotM champs that block out 75% of the roster.
: There's a simple solution to dealing with Yasuo, and it involves one partucular guy...
: What's an Evelynn?!
I don't think her identity has ever been an issue, at least lore-wise. She's supposed to be a sadistic assassin with a very shady background. The biggest way I can see balancing her stealth is to have it on a mana-draining toggle akin to Swain's ult. So she either has to build a bunch of mana to be able to stealth for long periods of time, or she has to deal with only stealthing on demand to get past wards, like Shaco tends to do with Deceive.
: Riot Doesn't Understand Yorick (or Monsters)
It's not that they don't understand why Yorick was underplayed, it's that they need an excuse rather than admit that they left him under the rug for I don't know, _a few fucking years. _
: Remove 1 letter from a champions ability. What does it do now?
{{champion:31}} - Fast Cho'Gath is now Fast. His movement speed increases by 100% and the Sonic theme plays for the duration.
: the problem? Basically a mini malphite ult than can be used during cc... not really balanced.
I already said he can't use it while on cooldown. It still doesn't have the same range as Malph ult. To balance it, other parts of his kit can be buffed and the cooldown / damage of it stays the same, in return for the CC counter.
: @Riot Spent a few days collaborating with Aatrox Mains Reddit on Aatrox's status, here's the output.
You know what'd actually be cool, assuming it hasn't been said? Let Aatrox be the only champion in the game that isn't totally impaired during knockups; let him be able to cast Dark Flight while airborne and already be halfway through the cast. Of course, he still can't jump if it's on cooldown, but thematically it'd be pretty awesome to counter an opponent's CC like that. Stuns will still stun, roots will still root.
