: This is the problem with Veigar
I dig Veigar the way he is, I do well with him. He is not twitch based, he is one of the few left that you have to use strategically. He will be off free week soon, and everyone can start posting about whatever champ will be next free weeks circle jerk. Ill leave some tips. --Play passive as all hell early and just farm q. spam aa a minion that is not taking damage next to the one that is targeted by your minions, then q both when they are both low. Do this as often as possible. --Put a point in everything then get e to 3 before maxing q - w. q will scale nice with the free AP (If you do the above, even more so) and 3 in e will make the stun last long enough to reliably dump everything on a person that gets stuck. --Play passive till 6, use e only to zone and stay safe (Or if a jungler decides to visit) till then. Playing passive 9 times out of 10 makes your lane opponent cocky and pressed to your tower, hit 6, stun em and delete em'. (Lots of times you can repeat this before they start playing safe...6 levels of feeling safe sometimes takes a few kicks in the nuts to make em forget) --You can q between 2 minions and kill both, q is wider than it looks. Dont have to shoot across them. --You could have flash - ult - e'd (e for escape zone) in your example. --e a wave in front of tower w to erase, when defending. Awesome wave clear, never even enter tower range. As for lack of agency, dont know what to tell you, I feel fine playing the little guy, and come late game control the fights just fine. E every 10 seconds or so is nothing to shake a stick at..Range is long and you can stand in back and drop it on the front line. Just forget about being flashy, he plays just fine.
Mr Popo (NA)
: Can I get a Red to look at an idea for some modest Veigar changes (not a direct buff)?
OP does not speak for all Veigar players. There are many ways to play the little guy. It is apparent to me that the OP plays him entirely unlike I do, as 2 of the 3 champs he listed as hard to play against I would not consider anything but equal (Talon and annie) and those he listed as easy im seeing the same. (Azir can destroy a Veigar, so can ziggs) I like him the way he is, and win a LOT more than I lose with him. If Riot is thinking of doing anything to him, I sure hope they do more research than what the small vocal group of posters on these (toxic ass) forums ask for. Please leave Veigar alone. Try playing him different ways, he is a fun champ just the way he is.

: Looking For Players Of All Ranks
Age: 41 -IGN:TheJuzzo -Main Role: ADC, Mid -Last season rank:S2 -Current Rank:B3 Champ pool: ADC: Cait, ash, graves, lucian, kalista, jinx, MF, Siver, Tristana (Pref Cait, jinx, and Lusian (If he ever gets some help, did well with him last season)) Mid: Have a bunch, pref xerath, ziggs, veigar. Most days can play a game or two, I get 26 lp a win currently, really think a duo is the way to go to climb as the dice roll on teams has not been in my favor.

Shoot me a message in game, thejuzzo. got up to S2 last season, have not seriously buckled down to climb yet this season, duo is the way to go.
: I ...
Provisionals blow. Least my experience of them did. 4 games had a teammate afk, went 3-3 in the others (One had a guy who said "Welcome to provisionals" and trolled). S3 to B3. Now every other game has some type of BS in it. Had a winning record last season in silver, slowly climbing, the experience this season in Bronze has slowly sapped my will to play. (and spend money)

Yea, well, the folk that put in the effort will have something rare. I think that's a good thing. Everyone doesn't get to be winners....Especially the quitters. In before down-votes...(Feel free, quitters)
Macilento (EUW)
: Why does Riot encourage snowball mechanics??
Need to change the way you think about laning when you feed an opponent. If you feel that they are unbeatable in lane, at any given point, the best thing you can do is not die to them anymore. Farm under turret. "But they can just dive me and 100-0!!!" --Then you should walk away from the turret (backwards) when they get close....You may have to give up the turret. Find ways to get gold that does not involve getting close to them. Later, one of your teammates will probably have something in their kit that will help deal with them, but that chance decreases if you continue to feed. Next game, you may be the one that is 'IMPOSSIBLE' to play against, enjoy it and hope they are one of the goofs that continually try the same thing over and over (feeding you even more).
El Thugo (NA)
: As an ADC Main -- Help
Nothing man. I just play extra safe and farm like a maniac...Let the tower go if I have to. They will go off to do other things, like push mid, Ill stay and farm-farm-farm. (Within reason) Gotta get build up enough to help the team and not dying at that point (and further feeding him) is probably the best thing you can do.
: So I played HOTS with my non moba playing brother...
I gave that game a serious go, wanted to like it. Had ragers, just like lol, had clueless teammates too. Add to that the fact that all the abilities feel underwhelming, and you cannot pick up slack for your team, and I just couldn't give it any more of my time.
: Daily reminder that Veigar is still in a bad spot.
I think Veigar is fine. Fun to play, feels powerful. Stun hits often enough, it did kinda feel like cheating when I could insta stun with it then erase someone. Even if you cant always hit the stun, it makes an awesome zoning tool, throw it up when needed, can block an area off for a good few seconds...Better than Ziggs minefield as enemies cannot walk through it. Easy to chain into the box when someone else has hit some cc too. If you place it when you see them going to hit something, and put them right in the middle of the cast, they more than likely will either be caught or stuck....I put one point in everything, get my stun up to 3 by level 5 so it last long enough to get a rotation off reliably. (then max q before finishing the box levels) Cant 100-0 at level 6 anymore, but can 80-0 after some poke (q is a lot better now). You can blast them pretty good and cause a recall though. Its nice to be sitting on 50 or so free ap by the time you finish your mana item. I really think he needs no changes.

Every game I stress out hoping a teammate doesn't pick Sona, Veigar, Ahri, Sona or countless other hyper-nerfed champions that can single-handedly lose the game. All those champions you mentioned are not only somewhat viable, but in some cases, and especially in some late game cases, can actually carry a game, such as veigar. Plus you mentioned sona twice.
Yea man, Veigar rocks. Play safe early, zone with E, farm up AP. Hit 6, erase lane opponent (Who is probably playing over aggressive by now)...Do it again once ult is up, they calm down and the lane is yours.
: why do i have to be so worried someone is going to troll my game every game in the summer
So, just now. Queued up for ranked game after a long vacation. Duo (3rd and last pick) started freaking out in champ select because 2nt pick took adc (they were a..... _shudder_.... "bot duo"). Dodged it. Already seeing lots of "*"s in chat. So now I have time to kill. I remembered this fine thread and came to post.

Im not as old (41), nor have as storied a career (networking), but do still choose lol and gaming as my hobbies. Married with kids, its a nice way to wind down for an hour or two every evening. Through my late teens and mid 20s I could not afford a computer (yea, kids moved out of home a lot younger then...and actually, thinking about it, you would be made fun of for still living at home over gaming in those days).... I have a 5 year old daughter that plays. I normally set her up with a custom game, she doesn't go under turrets without minions and knows to run when they are almost all gone (unlike many of my teammates)...And if a bot kills her once, she runs from them every-time. Already knows not to feed. Doing something wrong if you haven't started trying to teach your kid computer use yet bro. Mine can download and install games she wants, watch shows on Netflix, and do an impressive amount of other things all by herself (Including not feeding in LOL).....Its 2015, get your dang kids on computers, they figure them out quick. Just played another, wish I had took a pic. Had a bot lane duo, OP.GG told me that they were just bad at bot lane, but against my better judgement, I let them have their rolls (I was high in pick order and prefer adc). They fed like my pregnant wife at the all you can eat Chinese place...Not to mention (and I asked the adc to please not do it) first time trist in ranked. I went 4/2/9 in mid as Xerath against a Yasuo. Played safe and had his ticket towards the end.....but, oh-boy....team was in the double digits for deaths (each). Mundo jungle was ok I guess, did lead bot lane to some triple kills (for the other team), malph up top got raped by fiora. Impact roles: Jungle > Top TP > Mid > Support * Snowball: Getting really fed in one specific lane can give pressure to everyone else. Most impact roles: Mid > Adc > Top > Jungle * Objective controle: Taking a lot of objectives can grant you team a lead even when their feeding. Most impact roles: Jungle > Support > Top (tp) Overal {{champion:101}} support can work, add least in the previous meta. In this one it's a little bit harder to pull it off & it requires a lot more skill than an regular support. The bigger question is if you take {{champion:222}} with the mindset you have a {{champion:101}} support you can expect you won't get a lot of peeling in that game. Making the {{champion:222}} pick questionable. Options like {{champion:104}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:15}} would been more impactfull if you are able to play him. Thanks for the input. Thing I keep tossing around in my head is that last season, ranked was a lot funner by a long shot. I had placed into silver and maintained a 50-60% win rate, slowly rising through the season. Win some, lose some, and completely agreed with Lyte on that note at that time. Provisionals came along, and I had a legit 6 matches, won 3 lost 3, the other 4 had afk's and trolls ("Welcome to provisionals" one said as he called double jungle). Would I have ended up 7-3 or 5-5...who knows, I didnt get the chance to find out, those matches counted. Ended up 3-7 and demoted to b3. This season has just been unfun...100% unfun. I cant stand it. I just seem to spam arams its all I can bring myself to do, I dig the game, but cant stand these ranked matches this season.( I have a great win rate in aram, what gives? Why cant I get these people from arams in my ranked games?).

I would look at the connection from your ISP first. What is its speed? I dont want to give you a reason to point fingers at you sister, but that jump in ping is pretty large, possibly running malware/spyware/virus scans on her PC might go a long way towards freeing some bandwidth up. Then again if she is streaming or vid chatting, and your connection is slow to begin with, there is no real solution besides upping your service.

What bonuses? Ranking up? Once people reach the top "level" what's the point of worrying about it? The carrot is a reward for reaching a "rank", after getting there on one champ, wont people just switch to another champ for another reward? This is ok for normals. Not ok for ranked. I play the champs I like, and improve on them, without rewards. (So does everyone else, see your list of champs)
