They are either going to learn sooner than later. It shouldn't really matter what someone has to say about you. But a lot, and I mean A LOT of people like to shit talk. IN every game this happens. you can't get rid of it. NOBODY CAN. Why try to change people when they will just move on from this game and go find a better one. Where they can then shit talk in. Literally every other game has a system where they can mute people they don't want to listen to in game. I know league has this to, because I use it sometimes. I am just saying People don't deserve to be permanently ban from a game they like to play just because someones feeling got hurt. If someone is really hurting your feelings, why don't they just mutes them in game. League is such a big game that they will most likely never have to play with them again. Also What games do the Fair Play Alliance currently own? I was looking into it and I really cant find if they own any games at all. Wow, do you know how to use [Google](https://google.com)? Cause it's literally the [first result](https://fairplayalliance.org/members/). Members: Riot (League), Epic Games (Fortnite), Jagex (Runescape), and many more. It's not hard to not be an asshole - you shouldn't force other people to take action just because you want to be a selfish jerk.

First, I said to name 3 OTHER companies besides Riot that use chat logs for permanent bans. Second, I didn't realize a lot of people including you get offended so easily. Some people including you should learn how to grow up and just ignore those people (Mute) Or stop playing the game if you really can't handle what they are saying. Third, If you're so damn sensitive you shouldn't be playing these types of games in the first place. There are always a lot of people out there that are going to talk shit. You can't change that. Oh, and maybe if you played the game in the last 2 years instead of just sitting on this website trying to be a white knight towards Riot Games, Then maybe you would know that the community has definitely changed and this would be a much better punishment to people who actually play the game. Unlike you. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. ;)

I'd bet you couldn't even tell me 3. Riot will not permanently mute people because communication is key in League. Furthermore, I suggest you look at companies in the Fair Play Alliance - all of whom ban people for being verbally abusive.

What season? I am not sure off the top of my head when the switch happened. However, the system of "infinite" chat restrictions was in place from the beginning of League through the first few seasons, if I had to guess I'd say around season 4-5 was when it changed maybe? It was a little bit before the Tribunal was done away with that the system itself changed.

I just talked to a Riot Supporter and he said this would be an excellent idea. The support staff will attempt to butter you up because they are not authorized to discuss official Riot opinions. They will also tell you to go to the boards because they are not paid to sit there and discuss your ideas with you. Before the current system, people got infinitely scaling chat restrictions, which while was not "permanent", they had tens of thousands of chat restricted games - basically permanent.

: They have tried this before and it resulted in a large increase in trolling/griefing behaviors, which ended up resulting in a permanent ban anyway.
