I agree the matchmaking in normals is somehow way worse than ranked
Well it's not that it's worse, but you have a ton more newer players, casuals, "bad" players, no offense to that group, mixed in with your usual tryhards, smurfers trying to power level their accounts, people trying new stuff and generally other "competitive" stuff. So for that it's just WAY more variable.
: Would it be outside the realm of reason to assume people playing ranked actually care about their MMR and would therefore prefer a longer queue time to have a higher chance of tighter skill grouping between players? And to that end if people wanted to "get into a game and play as fast as possible" could play normals? This could easily appease both groups of players and negate the "have your cake and eat it to" scenario as you put it by offering players the choice. This seems especially reasonable since normals and ranked already have different MMR pools as it is.
No, because there are too many variables to take into account when it comes to each individual player. : This game isn't enjoyable anymore. And it's the community's fault.
That's what popularity does, mate. In year one, it's a small indie game company with a game that pretty much didn't even exist on the radar of other developers. In year nine and what, several millions if not tens of millions if not a hundred million people have been and are playing this game on a monthly basis, of course it's gonna be more toxic. This isn't an indie game anymore, holding the interest of a relatively small fanbase. This is a multimillion dollar machine, attracting all sorts of people, whether they're sus or not.
: OP.GG dodges = Riot "outsourced" matchmaking to the players
Excuse me for perhaps sounding like an apologist. Imagine ordering a pizza from your favorite joint. Their pizza takes a while to make but it's a burden for you to wait so long, so you want them to make it express. So they do; but now it tastes like crap. You can't have your cake and eat it too, y'know? Eventually, when trying to make things "better" or "more convenient" for players, you're gonna end up having to cut corners. The perfect system doesn't exist.

1. Zero tolerance words are grounds for immediate suspension. 2. In this case, probably automatic. 3. They always stay, although in these cases they're probably irrelevant because they don't have the same implications as say a griefer or troll. 4. You'll have to work for your honor, absolutely. 5. I'm fairly certain you'll be able to play just fine once you get back. 6. Probably not, seeing as this was an automatic suspension and not necessarily a reviewed one. 8. Yes. Lol. There are about half a dozen mages that are viable right now, out of about 30 or so. No, you can't make the excuse that it's a low elo thing either, because almost anything goes in low elo. _Dismissed._
: personal opinion: the game is rated for ages 12 and up but it should be changed to 16 and up. not due to the community but due to the content of the game there is literally everything that would rate any other game 16+ you have drugs like tabacco and alcohol (graves gragas) you have blood you have racism (ezreal hates noxians, aram ghostshopkeeper hates yordles) you have several sexual acts like nidalee pole dancing, (old) eves dance shacking her tits and her making several sex references (in out done?) you have champs clearly speaking about murdering others you have cursing even tho there is barely anything the latest was xayah calling minions "little shits" but riot removed this lol. you have "child soldiers" namely annie. zoe looks like a child and so does neeko but i know they arent but annie clearly is seriously half of this list would force any game to be rated 16+ and i wanna point out again this list does not take into consideration the community. if it would this game would be 18+++

Communication is required for any coordination beyond obvious calls (which are hardly obvious at any lower level).
Well if I give you that, then give me this. If you claim communication is necessary to win, explain to me how someone flaming you or you flaming someone else is helping you win. It's most certainly communication. My point? It's not helping you win. It's taking away your ability to win. Hence, the mute button. : Windwall too busted. Blocks around 80% of abilities in the game, including ults. If you're a burst mage, have fun. No issue with the rest of his kit though, it's just his stupid W that takes very little skill to use, but heavily counters things that actually take skill.
I mean I'm only silver but I find say, playing ahri into yasuo pretty easy tbh. Of course this may not always be the case for other champs and/or players but particularly gold and lower Yasuo's are SUPER easy to wreck in lane.

If they don't wanna shove and freeze then don't shove. A good freeze can be frozen forever, if you let them have it first then you can't do anything about it. If they're freezing then roam. they have all this cs they can't afford to lose while you now have pressure over that side of the map. This is assuming you're playing a high kill potential champion. : It's the skin texture and shape. In her splash art it's exaggerated to be a semi-realistic face with perfect skin. In the cinematic they go so much into detail as to show skin texture and they shaped her face to fit more into realistic standards. It works well for everyone except maybe for people who liked how she looked in her splash art, but personally it's a nice touch. For one, Draven looks like a real person for once, Riven looks awesome, and Sion just LOOKS bulletproof.
It's not the skin texture; Because you get the same effect with Riven's showcase, including the added detail of the beads of sweat on her face. You also see it on Draven VERY clearly with the indication of stubble and the poring on his face. I think going off of what a friend said they might have positioned irelia's eyes a bit too far apart, and it made her face look "wider", which is what my friend saw. Edit: It could also be that her eyes are too large, my source is an art reviewer who does this kinda stuff for league content which, his opinion I find valid for the most part on it.
: My big problem with Yasuo in this cinematic, is that its the only one that contradicts the lore as far as i know. He was protecting the elder during the Ionian Invasion, and when he arrived to the battlefield, the battle was already over.
True, but what I notice when they do videos is a subtle progression of the world's lore with each release. Of course this isn't necessarily the case with the New Dawn, music videos and the like, there's always an underlying plot and advancement of time with these. I guarantee it.

It's like, I can't really put a finger on it honestly but her overall model is good, the clothing and textures on that are really good, her face just looks weird to me for some reason. I really can't for the life of me place what it is though.

: If you guys can't buy it or afford just don't get it, its really only skins, if you want it then use your money to buy those cosmetics, like Fortnite. No other ways but to buy it.
I don't think it's a matter of the paywall necessarily... it's the paywall combined with exclusivity of the skin; because the skin is most likely limited to within the year, going by context. Make it exclusive, generate demand. That's probably what's happening here, and it's a super cheap, not to mention dangerous ideology to go by.
: When the first prestige skin was in the works, my friends and I where so excited that we dont have to spend HUNDREDS, to unlock the skin. But instead spend more time playing league and get better while we are at it. Now it seems that LOL is just Money Hungry, they are taking the spirits of all LOL players that loved the prospect of working for something special and giving it up to those who are more fortunate and can fill RIOTs pockets more. This release of Prestige Aatrox only available through store purchases is very upsetting, not only because this is the first prestige skin RIOT is forcing you to pay for, there is also a precursor in their explanation of prestige skin releases. "The skins team has a bunch of ideas for future prestige versions of skins, so we are experimenting with another way for us to release these skins throughout the year without limiting them to events." (Scroll up) this basically tells you, we are experimenting how much people can pay us for prestige skins! Will this be the way prestige skins are released from now on?
To be totally fair though, just for accuracy's sake, Akali at least (Don't know about Kai'sa) was locked behind the paywall of purchasing a pass.
: Except you don't need skins to play the game. so why should you care? EA locked pieces of their games even endings behind paywalls this is completely different.
: *Some Neeko players don't even bother disguising because her damage is strong enough to just play her like the typical mage. How do we get Neeko players to utilize the disguise feature more? Lets massively buff her damage so people will disguise!*

Leap duration lowered from .75 seconds to .6 seconds [New] Nearby champion leap damage now had a 40% AP ratio . At the very least, give us the whole changelist. This is not a straight up buff. Her R doesn't slow anymore, she can have all the damage she wants on it, it won't do anything if no one's caught in it.

: Simple answer? Because people feel that if they really try and bear with it..... they can at least get to Gold, and then they can feel good about their rewards and relax their play. And....... then they never get there, but continue to think they can. The game behaves like a job with the duration/number of games needed to be played. It's nice to get to that point where you don't have to treat it like one.
: I see lots of iron comments here. But if you guys looked at Gosu who s one of the best Vayne he had bad score with her. Also if you guys watched IMAQTPIE yesterday, it was tragic, he was literally deleted he couldn t even go against soraka or zyra because Vayne has very low range and even in late game when he tried to "spam" that Q he was literally deleted in one second before he could use few autos. Also Shiphtur when I watched him he was also 0/8 on Vayne. Look at QT s history to convince yourself. This isn t even a buff dmg, but people like stereotype a lot on boards. The issue is that too many iron who have no idea start to cry like babies on the boards and there are many doing this and when RITO listen to them and they do balance in that way lots of bad stuff happen after. People here would complain about every single champ in the game that isn t their main champ. Just ask rito to keep only 3 champions in game so you have a chance to deal with them LOL. 0/8 Vayne on high elo, "buffed" Vayne BTW
Shouldn't rank-shame, just sayin'. It was general but uh... yeah.

: top laners agree that they dont miss having entire top lane roster slashed to 30% of its current size because of some masochistic fucks who cant play anything but tanks. Ty.
To be totally fair, the main reason why tanks are often played to begin with, or at least were further back was because tanks were the most conducive to winning the game. That's usually why if the toplaner wanted to play a bruiser or off-meta assassin or something, the jungler/midlaner (in some cases) or the support would pick a tank to even things out.

AP Yi/AP Trynd are exactly as the game should be. And it used to be that way long time ago. Why you might ask? for diversity. OFCOURSE I'd prefer if Riot balanced AP Yi around alpha strike AP ratio, but no fucking way would i want it removed. They same with trynd. Jax and anything capable to build into AP just as good as AD. If anything in S2 I really hoped that was the direction Riot will take and each champion will have so many ways to be played that instead of ~60-70 champs we had back then, it'd feel like we had 300. Well But then they decided to create 1trick ponies like Riven/Zed/reworked Yi/Darius/Draven/etc and all diversity gone to shithole. > Why was LB reverted? THERE'S A REASON WHY SHE WAS REWORKED WHY WOULD BRING IT BACK? That one is simple: because Riot fucked up with her rework big time. She felt shitty to play and she was shitty to play.
