Ping spikes I haven't had a problem with. That might be an issue in your area or your connection to servers... frame drops however, adn not like the constant lagging in-game either: just the very occasional stutter in the game that really throws me off. Those, I do have.

This post is LITERALLY 3 years old... {{sticker:zombie-brand-mindblown}} Is Riot's ordering system buzzed off too now?
: Tips for laning against Yasuo
Depends on what you're playing. If you're playing melee, don't bother leaving tower unless you're jax. You're going to get outtraded every single time. If you're a mage player, trade him and back off. Considering you're asking tips, I take it you're in the lower end of elo. If this is the case, you can abuse most bad yasuos that play too aggressively. Trade, back away, anticipate his dash through creeps, CC, complete your combo, rinse, repeat. You would not BELIEVE how angry it makes bad yasuo players when you play and assert your big brain trades onto them. Also, the first few trades, you wanna feel the yasuo out. auto him while he dashes through creeps instead of going straight for the cc. You can bait out the windwall this way, and if he doesn't respond you can proceed to CC him through his dash animation and abuse the hell out of him for it in future trades.

: So, What Would Be the Best Way to Show Displeasure at the LCS?
imo, you can't do anything. You know why? Let me link you a video on the idea of "talent" and how much it means in a serious, professional setting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvY_PEG1EAo TL;DR? The reason why I believe anyway, that regions like NA and EU are so 'scarce' in talent has nothing to do with how well the players perform-- it has to do with the fact that not a god damn person on a team in the west can take the game seriously enough to push through. Korean teams, chinese teams, eat, sleep, crap, breathe and DREAM Worlds. Whenever I'm watching LCS interviews it's all smack talk and beef and talking about how good or bad other players are, or BM or some other complete nonsense. No one cares about the ACTUAL game, it's only popularity, fame, some cash. That's why they all roll over and die when they face a team with a REAL drive to play the game and win. In those circumstances, that team with drive comes off as intimidating if not downright scary.

: "Riot Accounts unify your experience" - This is a LIE, and this system is horrible
I'm getting the feeling that it's because they're gonna go the Blizzard route and actually turn the client into a CLIENT. Not to say that you have to like it, but I'm almost positive it's so they have a hub for League, Legends of Runeterra, upcoming fighting game, roguelike game, et cetera.
: While I appreciate the AD/AP split for support items, and the removal of Ancient Coin's hyper-passive playstyle to coincide with the range allowance on the new defensive support items, there's a few big pain points I want to mention: The removal of mana regen from the aggressive items and health regen from the defensive items have made laning phase in particular feel incredibly dull and difficult to survive. In the aggressive case, that lack of mana sustain combined with losing the on-proc damage means you not only have much less likelihood of winning the trades you take, but can barely perform them at all; in the defensive case, melee users can't afford to approach minion waves for procs without getting smacked to all hell by anyone with a range advantage, and then they're left with no help to recover except devouring any consumables they have, with this also meaning that it's much harder to sustain poke in later stages of the game since most previous Relic Shield users would rush tier 3 that brought 200% health regen. The majority of tanks don't care about the AD or AP coming from the defensive items, and would much prefer additional health and health regen. While there are certainly outside cases who enjoy the added AD/AP, the majority of the champions benefiting from this are ranged, and would rather be going for the aggressive items if they gave better stats to facilitate their playstyle. Getting rid of the heal from Spoils of War was good to prevent tank supports in particular from getting to act like mini-enchanters, but that, in conjunction with the lost health regen, has proven very damaging. There aren't any tank support items that grant health regen, and even with increased gold income, telling a support they basically have to get Warmog's or Righteous Glory _every_ match seems counterintuitive to the goal of giving them more gold freedom in the first place. Making the support items upgrade automatically was a good change, but the stats that were lost from that have gravely diminished the ability for a wide swathe of supports to be interactive in the laning phase. Mana-reliant supports simply can't afford to be proactive unless it's an all-in, and their ability to be reactive is down as well; melee supports are even more vulnerable to poke than before, and have gained basically nothing to show for it. Overall, the support experience feels worse right now. Having access to slightly more gold than before more quickly than before does not compensate for just how little agency is being felt, particularly in the laning phase. The only type of support that seems to have truly been benefiting with these adjustments are damage supports that want high-budget mana items early anyways, or all-in/one-combo ranged supports that aren't going to feel a mana burden.
That's funny, I'm starting to see complaints crop up on the boards that supports have been LOSING gold because of the changes, specifically generation (I'm not a support player.) Thoughts?
: You have a handful of champions that can't use the wind drake buffs and we can't choose not to get these. This isn't like keystones and other runes like Nimbus cloak that we can simply not pick. Wind Dragon is just arbitrarily thrust upon us and we can't even use it. Ult CDR and the speed boost after ulting is massive and makes champions without true ults excessively underwhelming in what they can contribute when someone like malphite or lux can have cooldown on their ult that brings it to the uptime of a basic ability meanwhile our kits remain the same and have to compete against urf level ridiculousness. So far looks like Nidalee, Elise, Jayce, Shyvanna, Udyr, and ?Quinn? are getting the shaft here This is not only a really poor design choice but looks like an embarrassingly massive oversight...
I think, and no I'm not being an apologist for this, that the drake things are supposed to be random SO THAT you can't just consistently abuse the mechanic. That said, it's another element of randomness added to the game which I'm not really a fan of.
: There NEEDS to be some kind of counter to Akali's smokescreen
I mean, considering her state NOW, that's not really a bad thing. Because now she can't straight up kill you over and over and over again in a game despite not having to do anything early game. Now, if she plays safe, sure, she might be able to escape getting killed and probably one or more ganks, but as an assassin that's not how you want to play her AT ALL. If you're playing an assassin safely and not making use of your capability you're playing it wrong. If you're playing AGAINST the Akali and getting chunked out and/or not getting good trades in, you're playing the matchup wrong.

: It was never a thought I had for a skin on her, but it is interesting I'll give them that. Honestly I think it was in a way made as a gag towards the people that wanted a Christmas Eve skin, and instead you get sugar (released during the holiday season). I do have to say, the way the splash art had her depicted, it feels almost like a Katarina skin.
Y'know, now that you bring up that katarina bit, I can almost see it actually.
: It's not a skinline I would've picked for her personally, but it's imo a lot better looking than I would've assumed (was thinking the poor girl was gonna get Dunkmaster Ivern'd). I'm hoping she'll get a more sinister skin at some point, or something really elegant and refined. I hate the sound effects though. Hate.
I mean, I think it looks good [well, decent], it just throws me off when I look at it because it doesn't make me think "Evelynn." Maybe some character in another game, but certainly not Evelynn. Personally, I would trade it in for just like a Valentine's take on Evelynn, Since thematically it lines up while also setting up a unique take on the day of love. But yeah. I don't care much for the candy themed skins in general imo. Braum though? Won't lie, and my friend put it perfectly-- It must be HARD to screw up a Braum skin.

: China has literally been penalized for cheating during the Olympics. I appreciate you defending them, but we're talking about a greater issue here. The safety and well being of players and employees who are at the mercy of Tencent for their career and well being. If you're given an option of losing your job/position/safety or throwing a finals in an online video game, the choice is rather simple. I'm all for not buying in to the conspiracies. That's fine. But it is a well known fact that China and it's large corporations do this and anyone who is willing to turn a blind eye to it is advocating it. This series demonstrates all of the evidence involved in a fix. Look at any fix in our sports history and the parallels are not only similar, but nearly identical.
That's the stupidest thing to suggest EVER though. It is physically IMPOSSIBLE that Riot would rig a game for a team that is not OWNED by Tencent, has NO bearing on Tencent whatsoever, and whose winning the tournament has NO effect on viewership or money made by the company. Literally risking legal repercussions for something that makes no financial difference to a business BUILT for making money is ridiculous. Not only that, but they would have to do it in such a way that EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE TOURNAMENT either was in on the scheme or that not a single player or viewer would notice. If such were the case, then we may as well confirm that US politicians are lizard men and the Illuminati are confirmed.

Or multi million dollar companies and countries are in on a fix, to fix a league of legends world championship, something still a lot of people around the world could care less about?? It seems these "rigged" threads only fit when its convenient. Was perkz trolling when he died 6 times on yasou to SKT? No, because he came out for the last team fight and got a quadra which ended the game. However, if G2 losses that game, and the following one, how many of you are pointing at the 6 feed yasou as the focal point of your "rigged" gameplay because he never feeds like that?
No, I agree with you mate. The misconception about tournaments is that all it is is being better. Being better is only half if not less so of the ACTUAL tournament. Knowing how to beat strategies, and keeping solid mental is what really matters.
: A Detailed Thread Explaining the World's Fix Job
I personally don't think there's a scenario where G2 wins finals unless FPX gets knocked out of groups. I'm not saying G2 is a bad team. I'm not saying they're not good enough to beat FPX. Everyone, literally everyone was saying G2 was a better FPX. I will not deny, I would be LYING to say that G2 is not one of the best teams in the Western hemisphere. But that's where I see the problem. It's my prediction that G2 got so comfortable with their winning strategy that they failed to figure out the weaknesses in that strategy, and had no backup plan. They weren't on peak performance today, sure. I'll give you that. That doesn't account for the fact that they played RIGHT into FPX's hands even in the draft phases of each game, and very likely played exactly the way FPX expected them to play. That's why I saw a really strong performance in game one, an okay performance in game two and a falling apart in game three. They literally had no answer to their own gameplay style and fell because of it.

Well it's not that it's worse, but you have a ton more newer players, casuals, "bad" players, no offense to that group, mixed in with your usual tryhards, smurfers trying to power level their accounts, people trying new stuff and generally other "competitive" stuff. So for that it's just WAY more variable.
: Would it be outside the realm of reason to assume people playing ranked actually care about their MMR and would therefore prefer a longer queue time to have a higher chance of tighter skill grouping between players? And to that end if people wanted to "get into a game and play as fast as possible" could play normals? This could easily appease both groups of players and negate the "have your cake and eat it to" scenario as you put it by offering players the choice. This seems especially reasonable since normals and ranked already have different MMR pools as it is.
No, because there are too many variables to take into account when it comes to each individual player. : This game isn't enjoyable anymore. And it's the community's fault.
That's what popularity does, mate. In year one, it's a small indie game company with a game that pretty much didn't even exist on the radar of other developers. In year nine and what, several millions if not tens of millions if not a hundred million people have been and are playing this game on a monthly basis, of course it's gonna be more toxic. Well if I give you that, then give me this. If you claim communication is necessary to win, explain to me how someone flaming you or you flaming someone else is helping you win. It's most certainly communication. My point? It's not helping you win. It's taking away your ability to win. Hence, the mute button. Edit: Let me make a small edit, and just say that consistently egregious behavior is not and should not be tolerated, that's a way of perpetuating the cycle. Your job is just to make sure Rito does their job as far as discipline goes.

Mutes keep you undistracted. Communication is required in a game if you want to truly be successful. Voice chat would solve this. And is far less likely to have toxicity problems if you can actually try to be friendly and have conversations with people.
And for that, you are incorrect. It is a team game, yes, but for all intents and purposes unless you're playing in a competitive format there isn't enough communication and/or reception to make it team oriented. It's called _solo_Q for a reason.

: The Magic Mute Button

: Windwall too busted. Blocks around 80% of abilities in the game, including ults. If you're a burst mage, have fun. No issue with the rest of his kit though, it's just his stupid W that takes very little skill to use, but heavily counters things that actually take skill.
I mean I'm only silver but I find say, playing ahri into yasuo pretty easy tbh. Of course this may not always be the case for other champs and/or players but particularly gold and lower Yasuo's are SUPER easy to wreck in lane.

: Is my account fucked?
I feel ya. 9 game loss streak, no wins for three days until I duo'd somebody. Felt SO bad dude. My condolences.

Reevaluate your claim. An authority said something so we must believe it absent of evidence. Come on dude.
Uh. They're also the only people that know how to play the damn game? If I shouldn't believe authority then in what capacity should I EVER take YOUR word for the state of the jungle?

: What are people opinions on sylas so far?
The W healing needs to be tweaked, absolutely. Outside of that he seems pretty tame, honestly.
