It's still hasn't been fixed and hot mic is still the default where your party can just hear what's going on around you without saying anything, so that you will never notice if (or even if not) you're a newbie. Aw man, I restarted my client yesterday and found what you were talking about. Thanks for the "head's up". (Everything was re-set, including my rune pages.)
: Riot: What a dirty trick. I really didn't think that you would stoop to this.
League VC is generally bad, it's been full of bugs, and frequently responsible for dc and choppiness. You should keep your mic permanently disabled in LoL VC and also use the setting to keep it off by default. Use third-party like Discord. But, yeah, I know what you're talking about. : Are their any champion/champions that do not usually build any boots?
Boots are about as obligatory as flash (which Yuumi also doesn't take). I want to say that boots are probably more important than flash for everybody except Cassiopeia (and the occasional Sion). Very late game, they might be sold for an extra power spike 6th item, but the MS will be compensated for (at least partially) with some more expensive item.

: 1. Revert the rune system back to the old one, make all the runes free and remove the tiers. Remove the keystones from masteries, it's just tacked on power that no one actually needs. 2. Nerf Black Cleaver by reducing the CDR or removing/reworking the armor shred. Remove the penetration from Morellonomicon. 3. Bring back Dominion, keep Twisted Treeline, all alternative game modes are now available in customs. 4. Bring back map-specific balancing, but only like twice a season at most. The alternative modes tend to be fine without constant updates (that more than likely won't actually improve anything).

: How would YOU bring balance to the game?
"You refer to the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the Game..." "A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Game be restored."
: Is there a reason why we can't take items off?
In this respect, the rules are the same as LoL. You can't give your items to a teammate in LoL, and you can't transfer items between players in TFT either. You should be used to it by now... Keeping the items when you sell the unit is a concession.

Apparently, sufficient numbers used it, that they reverted with 24 hours... They haven't given us details, but I can speculate that there was an immediate small but noticeable dip in play following the change. Most of the people who complained about the cursor simply didn't play until it was changed back. (Or played TFT, where it doesn't matter that much.) When was the last time that you saw Riot do an about-face like that ever, on any matter at all?
: The worst champ ever
Fiora is generally rated as "weak" on the sites that do these ratings, even for a $1 champ. They can't ALL be strong. Some are there just for synergies. Elise was $2 a month ago. They buffed her, she was still weak, now she's a $1 champ, and not considered to be a strong $1 champ, either.

: Buying with Arcade Tokens but not getting item?
The "emote" is cool enough ... in what in-game scenario would I use it though? (Riot CS, of course, claimed that it was a favourite of theirs...)
: Buying with Arcade Tokens but not getting item?
Yes. It's a problem, especially with the CALL ME "emote". If this item is on your shopping list, purchase it first, and then re-log in. It's not consistent, sometimes it creates an "emote" "permanent" for further crafting, and sometimes it just says that it was added to inventory, but then does not appear. I have a photo of my open "emote" collection showing no sign of the "emote", while the tooltip is still on my screen saying that it has been added! The crafting for this item is bugged, and Riot CS seems to know about it, because they were very helpful and attentive when I contacted them for help on the matter.

The people getting banned, by-and-large, certainly deserve it at the time. There is no mechanic to prevent them (or even discourage them) from making new accounts and inflicting themselves on the segment of playership least equipped to deal with them. It can't really. Because there is no evidence that your sample is a statistically representative sample of the League population. There are many people (myself included) who have hundreds of friends who play League, and none of them have ever gotten a permanent ban. Further, any player leveling a new account up will be matched with other experienced players doing the same. It is very rare for a truly new player to be matched with "new account" players in games.

It is very rare for a truly new player to be matched with "new account" players in games. I'm incredulous that you have "hundreds of friends who play League", and none of them ever permabanned. I think that my original point was, that if Riot framed an inclusive bracket for that statistic, then they did similar for the other assertions about banned players on new accounts. Regarding the way that MMR works and the speed at which it corrects for smurfs: No. It can take 100 matches for the MMR to catch up. Sometimes I track the Diamonds who wind up in my low MMR matches. I've showed this to Riot and they admit, that it takes 80 -100 matches. Now, what if the ranked player only plays normals every few months? Normal MMR soft resets (and you can also see this in their match history, by looking at who they get matched with/against). So the problem takes a nice long while to resolve AND it can happen repeatedly in a single season. (And if you friend me, then I'll be happy to share these with you.) ... However long it takes, it's enough, that they are frequently encountered by players in new accounts regardless of their personal ability. Besides, who said that the toxic players were any good?

And it seems naive, to think that they wouldn't. Keep in mind that 0.006% is based on anyone who's ever played League. There's hundreds of millions of players who've played one game of League - not just including active players. Furthermore, it's based on *players* - one player who gets 100 accounts permanently banned is still just one player. Riot has no way to do this beyond the ID ban - there is no way to reliably target one *human* for an "instant ban" accurately and with little to no potential for collateral damage. And yes, I can see how the statistic 0.006% can be a bit misleading - if one only considered active players, it's almost certainly slightly higher. However, it's still a ridiculously low number. And the fact is that to get permanently banned in League, you have to be quite a bit worse than everyone else - it's not common to be banned. We see this frequently - people complain about League bans by trying to claim "well there's no way I'm worse than everyone else" or "those numbers have to be fake/wrong/misleading" - the bottom line is that *regardless*, the point is the same.

Riot Tantram (one of the top Rioters on the Player Behavior team) posted it as a reply to someone. However, this was in a thread that was later deleted (either by mods for whatever reason or by the player who posted it because they didn't like being exposed by Tantram), so the comment isn't publicly available. Tantram has repeatedly reiterated that the goal is to get them to stop playing - if they saw that players were coming back and that the permanent ban wasn't working, why would they keep using it?

Are these assertions based on global membership? Would they be true if only the NA and EUW server was considered? These statements should be considered critically. Riot also says that only %.006 of League players have been permabanned. 6 in 100,000. I have personally met over 100 players who have been permanently banned. (And those are just the ones who made new accounts and continued to play, which is how I met them.) Also, does it really matter, if only %49 of the banned players make new accounts? (But I actually think it's a higher percentage.) Riot doesn't prohibit or discourage banned players from making new accounts. Many do. (And why shouldn't they?) I know one person who is not ID-banned, but goes through accounts more frequently than Tyler1 used to. Another kid who gives his account the same name but with an increasing number on each one - he's up to 4 now. Anecdotal - yes... but enough for me to conclude that it's not particularly rare. When we look at these stats, are we also including all the players who make accounts, but abandon them before reaching level 30? (For example.) I think that statistics can be used to distort the actual impact of these sorts of problems. I know that when I first started playing, I was in matches with some very unpleasant people. As my account matured, there were fewer of them. I level up alt accounts, and the experience is repeated. So, even if it is just a fraction... it's enough. However, I'll re-iterate - dozens of acquaintances banned, and they make new accounts. None have stopped playing. Whether it's a two-week ban, or a permanent ban. Many do improve their behaviour, and never receive a second ban. I really wonder, how Riot determines that most banned players don't continue to play on new accounts. And it seems naive, to think that they wouldn't.

There aren't. He's obviously wrong. I know "a large number" of previously banned players who made new accounts and continued to play personally. I can take you to a single Discord server with over a hundred of them. Why would anybody stop playing, just because they were banned? As far as spending money... I'd imagine that the guys who aren't careful with their accounts in the first place, probably aren't the big spenders. NEVERTHELESS, many of the "reformed" do spend money, or generate revenue through their new accounts (gifting etc), and again, I'm speaking from personal experience.

: Please remove emotes
I keep enemy "emotes" muted. They only distract. *laugh* Also, you're way more good-natured about why they exist... If I could, I'd mute the true emotes, like "laugh" and "taunt", and completely pointless Mastery flashes... (But, if they would let me flash Mastery 2, then that would actually be cool...)
: What'd I miss?
Tower Gold Plates, Monster Hunter, earlier minion spawn, faster minions, later (and more frequent) dragon spawn. Crit reversion. Stormrazor changes, Spear of Shojin (this might be a biggie for Jax).

: Help me with the shopguide!
It happens sometimes after maintenance or patches. You can just fix your settings to get it back, as you did once-upon-a-time, so-long-ago-that-you-forgot.
: we really want 1 For All
One-for-All is my favourite, too. I'd assume that the newer champs (5 out of the last 7 have "theft" abilities) break the mode, and that's why we haven't seen it this year...

: Here's why this is horribly wrong: 1) TFT is imbalanced with imbalanced items and teams who are specifically designed to exploit them. - Sorcerer Aatrox: 1 second recharge of skill, that does 200-300% of his skill's innate damage, or 2000-3000 damage to an entire area. Can lock in a win if accomplished. - Hush Tristana with a Gunslinger (4) Bonus. Stronger than any other silencing build in the game. Can carry harder than any other build, works well with Noble, and can actually pull off a Full Noble/4 Gunslinger buff with a Lucian to boot to have TWO multi-tapping Gunslingers. Has no natural counters. - 6 Yordle + 6 Sorcerer; Lock if built defensively. - Defensive build Assassin; outputs significant damage while disabling skills, and reducing attack speeds and doing everything an assassin shouldn't. Broken tier when accomplished. _**The Tristana build is almost accomplishable EVERY GAME.**_

: You put Swain in the frontline? I feel like that would just be asking for him to get glacialed and bursted down before he can even cast. In my experience shapeshifters need protection because they're worthless if they don't get to cast.

Yeah, Swain isn't frontline, but not necessarily the corner. Some champions should NOT go in the corner, even if they are your carry. Melee champions in general, just do nothing until the fight comes to them, if they are blocked in the corner. Put Shyvana in the corner and probably delay her transformation by 5s or so... (unless you gave her a RFC).
