I wonder which would be harder to swim with: the weight of the chains or the length of the chains.)) _"That mist is a real thing? I thought it was a low-hanging storm this whole time."_ Deities, and aspects such as Zoe, had the ability to gain information on anything they so chose, but one had to want to know that and consciously activate this ability. Zoe pushed on the boat with her foot, testing how stuck it was and what kind of rot had set in to the boat. Small as it was, it looked to be seaworthy with some mending magic and carrying it back to the water. _"I don't really know how to sail. I kind of got here with a catapult and some magic I could muster to keep myself from hitting the ground too hard. I felt like a shooting star! And then a meteor! Oh! I think I'll do that again when we get these shackles off me."_ ((I forgot how I said Zoe got to the Shadow Isles, so I made up or changed it to something fun.)) She giggled at the memory of her journey, the short boat ride from one island to the other (someone was missing their boat, but there were two so it shouldn't be that bad), and then her walk through the swamp to the lich's castle, and then the ideas of how she would have changed the method to make it brighter and prettier.

: _”I think I like deserts at night more than during the day. So many more creatures and critters out- Oh! Found one!”_ She said as she picked up a rock and saw a lizard underneath. It looked up at her, she looked down at it, and it skittered away. _”Bye-bye. Fine some shade.”_ She said before places the rock down and standing back up. She had somewhere to be and people to see, after all. Shurima really was a much different place than she remembered. The great cities, small towns, hidden cults, and scenery had all changed. At least there were not grand armies led by giant people armed with weapons possessed by hateful spirits. How they ever got into their heads to make such things were... not beyond her thinking but something she still did not see a point in doing. She guessed it was corruption of the Void mixing in to Ascendants and their ways of being created, but she couldn’t tell for sure. Nothing like that ever happened in Targon. For her though, she was off to meet herself. Well, another version of herself that had found her way into her home Runeterra. It seemed this Zoe liked to explore and play pretend, influenced by these stories of a place called Egypt and the curses rumored to be in them. For Zoe, they were undead wrapped in bandages. For this other Zoe, they were the mummified servants of the pharaoh; whatever those were. For Zoe, she was just curious to meet another version of herself and say hi. For this other Zoe, she wanted to leave a trace that she had been to the world using something called a pyramid… not the math thing, but a building. ((Yep. Zoe's going to meet Pharaoh Zoe.))

The pyramid tomb was huuuuuge! ...or at least it would seem that way by the size of the opening, which was the tip of it. Standing fifteen feet from the point to the sand, then being buried in the sand for another ten feet, and sloping down at a 60 degree angle, it had the potential to be rather large. However, as Zoe knew from touching it and a quick pulse of magic to examine it, that was it. The rest was more like that of a three story house, with this sandstone triangle acting as a very impressive roof. Finding this out actually made Zoe chuckle nervously as she sent another pulse through it, gaining a good idea of the interior structure. _"-sigh- Well, even I don't know how the old Shurima people made these things, I guess other versions of me wouldn't know either."_ She took a deep breath of the warm, desert air, and then walked around until she found a doorway in. She had to press a loose brick into the rest of the stonework, and waiting as she heard a clicking inside. Seconds later, the door slid backwards and to the left, revealing an opening into the rest of the tomb. After she skipped in, humming to herself, she stopped when she heard a voice from below. **_"Close the door please! I'm still working on that!"_** It sounded like her, but it also sounded dusty and dry, like she had a mouthful of sand. _"Right away!"_ She called out in reply, and then turned, made a shooting motion with her hand, and the brick moved back into place. She repeated this with the door, and it moved as well. _"I'm Zoe, by the way! This dimension's Zoe! How are you doing!?"_ There were a few seconds of silence as Zoe made her way through the shrinking darkness, torches becoming lit as she approached and glowing with yellow flames, until the other Zoe spoke. **_"Oh! Hey there! I'm Zoe too, but I'm from a dimension where Shurima didn't have the god-warriors and they just kind of kept growing! Don't worry though! Targon didn't fall, the cultures just kind of mixed together."_** Didn't have the god-warriors? She guessed that meant the ascendants were less powerful in that dimension. Now she was really looking forward to talking with this other version of herself!

Zoe was glad to be closer to more natural water for nothing more than that she could see deeper into it. She had nothing against necromancy or swamps, but she liked to know where she was stepping in the event that she had to walk on the ground, through water, and the like. _"Are you talking about herons? The birds with the long spear-looking beaks? I remember watching some nomad people fishing with their hands in open streams, standing there and thrusting their hands in to grab a fish, but I don't think either of us are fast enough to do that."_ And yet the image of the two of them trying made the aspect smile and giggle. Maybe Karthus would have more luck doing that with his skeletal hands and the reduced air resistance they provided, but she could image herself trying to catch them before resorting to chasing after them and shooting off magic missiles. She paused for a moment, something catching her eye, and then turned and started toward the remains of a rowboat along the coastline. The wreckage appeared a few weeks old, the boat broken at the front before the first seat where it hit the sand. Nearby were oars, four of them, and mostly empty save for what looked like a torn fishing net and some rotten rope. When she was only a few more feet from it, Zoe began to lean toward it as she began to more closely examine it, picking up one of the oars as she passed it and then the net when she got closer. _"Does this happen a lot, or are there little fishing colonies on smaller islands here?"_

The eldritch creature liked unusual ingredients to cook with, always trying to turn something into a dish for a meal, but never knowing what or who might like it. The Shadow Isles, with its unusual energies and properties, had potential to make normal plants and animals unique, but what could they find? The answer: most anything on the islands, probably, but Zoe wanted her shackles off sooner rather than later. To that end... _"Let's go fishing! You said there was an aquatic plant around there anyway, right? Why don't we get a swarm of piranha and other fish too, and see what we can find along the way there."_ She suggested with a smile. Something fun that Zoe did whenever she was crossing the sea or near beaches was to reverse the gravity on the water in a selected area, sometimes just swapping the top with the bottom but mostly moving a large shape of water, fish and all, out of the ocean, into the air, and diving in to see what she had gotten before dropping it back in. Never mind the untold damage she likely inflicted onto the wildlife and geography (sometimes these were several to many miles of water cubes after all), she had fun just the same. Of course, she wouldn't ask Karthus to do that; she'd fell kind of bad for any of the undead fish that might get crushed from the spellwork.

It was late into the day, dusk closing in on the world, and it seemed there were no signs of civilizations across the hilly landscape of the grassy plains. As Kamilah crossed into a collection, she would see some of the hills that appeared different from others, containing windows and doors made of thatch, tall grass stalks, and tree bark. The light of an oil lantern gave off the tell-tell sign of habitation from one, along with a shadow cast against the wall from inside. Within this home of a hill, Zoe emerged through the door, opening it with one arm as the other held a large basket; the head of a dog peeking out and panting happily. _"Thanks for the puppy! I'll take good care of it, promise! Oh! Can I come next week for that pie eating contest too?"_ There was a short conversation before Zoe waved bye and closed the door as she left, walking a short distance before her feet left the ground and she began to lazily float in the air. With gravity no longer keeping her land-locked, she took the puppy from the basket, a small, brown dog with patches of darker fur on her body, and began to nuzzle and hug it to herself. _"Oh! You're so cute! It's been a long time since I've had a puppy! Aurelion Sol's gotten too big for me to hug and cuddle, and, just between me and you, I think he's trying to run away and get away from me."_ She told it, and the dog merely barked happily. _"I know! She then poured a little sand out inside what would be the courtyard before making two more mini-Zoes. _"You, work on the stairs. While her powers as an Aspect certainly overshadowed those of her normal abilities, it was her innate, but unpolished mind you, abilities as a sorceress that let her survive her journey to the Shadow Isles and toward Karthus' castle. During her time as a mortal, it was not rare that one would be born with some kind of ability, but gifted mages were also not a common thing. Had her life turned out differently, Zoe would have likely been a student of magic for the Lunari, or perhaps a spell-smith maintaining their weaponry. _"So, what are looking for first? _”I think I like deserts at night more than during the day.

Not the most powerful, but able to conjure more magic than an above average mage. With the thought of danger, adventure, and feelings she had not felt since before becoming an aspect, she stood up, stretched her arms above her head, and turned toward the doorway... before falling forward as she tried to levitate off the ground and zoom forward. _"OW!"_ She quickly got back up onto her knees and blinked her eyes in confusion. She was not hurt, that much of her powers still active, but she did come to realization that spells and magical enchantments would have to be consciously used. _"Haha. There were some that even made her afraid to stay or return to. _"She's easy to keep contained, at least. We'll just need some food and empty stomachs. The explosion and its effect on the magical bindings spread through the chains did indeed leave their mark, but structural damage was already being mended by the enchantment placed on them. To be fair, they were made by a deity and improved by mortals, and who knows what improvements were placed on them? When she finally did stop to speak, there was the hint of uncertainty in her voice. _"I can show you how to, and then you could summon Tasha to this Runeterra."_ Tasha... the cook the two of them had met that served a master unlikely anything Karthus likely knew of and prepared worlds for said master to one day devour. The creature who's body served as a mouth and worked within a kitchen that served as but another part of its body. If the void was a danger to Runeterra, Tasha may very well be the worst thing that could happen to it... Or maybe she's the best thing for it. After all, the creature looked like a monster, and yet it only wanted to cook food and be accepted as a chef. From the living to the dead and possibly to the sentient and not, everything that lived had to eat, and she was a veteran cook that knew how to feed almost everything (constructs still eluded her, for now). _"She might be able to eat the shackles, but then again she will also know how to get to this world."_ ((I am working on a champion concept for Tasha actually. I also like to play pranks, so I can change how things works in funny ways."_ (Taking some inspiration from Dragon's Age on this because I am stressed to all heck because of move) Zoe was not a trained magic user, so her spells were based on instinct and wants as she imposed her will on reality. Those that were trained and understood how magic worked could construct barriers and wards against her. If Zoe were a coming flood, all one had to do was build a dam to keep her at bay. The problem was that most obstructions people had placed against her did not account for her aspect-based powers and were simply plowed through or over without her knowing. She followed his example of inscriptions to enchant the bubble gum, but it was clear, as it rumbled and bubbled, deflated, popped, or turned dense, that she was struggling to refine her millennium old technique not working. If Zoe's magic was breaking reality, Karthus's wards were reinforcing it, effectively countering everything she was trying to do to some degree; the same as what the shackles did, only to a personal degree.

She chewed for a few seconds, swapping from the left side of her mouth to the right, and then blowing a bubble that she had expected to lift her into the air but instead popped, covering her face in pink sugar. When it happened, she leaned backwards, surprised by the sudden **POP!**, and remained still for a few seconds before she sucked in through her mouth, making a hole in the bubble gum face mask, and made a humming sound. _"I think my magic's going wild in here. I tried to make the gum make me float, but I ended up enlarging it and popping it."_ Using magic, intentional or not, was second nature to Zoe. She often did not realize she was doing it, but others could certainly tell as reality was changed or laws of physics were broken around her. Using portals, conjuring her paddle and the stars that went with it, storing items in her hair for later, and altering the timestream (forward or backward a few hours) were things she knew to be spells she was casting, but floating, levitating, enchanting mundane items (like bubble gum) usually just happened without her knowing she was doing something. What gave it away this time was that had been expecting to float up, but didn't, and she knew it wasn't the shackles since those only seemed to affect her teleporting spells. After a few seconds in thought, Zoe reached up to her face and began tearing pieces of bubble gum off. _"Anymore gum? This time, I'll try not to use magic."_ The mischievous giggle that followed said otherwise.

She shivered from the taste and sensation of the sudden coldness in her mouth before speaking again. _"So, do you want to meet them? All I really needed were names and status. A perk of being a deity was knowing the locations of people and things she was even a little familiar with (scrying), even if she had never met them or knew how they were. A name and a status, what they were called and if they were alive or dead, and she could perceive through the great weave of life where they were... That chisel was a pain to make and the materials took effort to gather. Necromatic power was rarely a passable substitute for craftsmanship and quality components. Zoe had a clever idea, however the lock's protective magic was still greater than any raw force Karthus and Zoe had tried so far. "I do know a variety of curses and spells that can rot practically anything, even magic, given enough time," he suggested, "but if you've tried rust, I'm not sure they will work. I'll look for lockpick." Karthus did as he said and began looking around his basement for such a tool. Eventually, he returned with a pair of wicked looking hairpins. They were previously the tools of an unfortunate Ionian assassin. The ends were quite sharp. "I think these were mostly used for stabbing, but I think they can be used to pick locks as well. I haven't figured out exactly what enchantment is on them yet since they're a recent acquisition. I think they'll help. If not, you inspired and idea. I'll be right back." The lich promptly left the basement. He was gone for a few minutes, but returned true to his word. In his hand was a pack of bubble gum. On his face, a sly smile. At least they protect my legs from being cut off."_ Zoe informed with childlike enthusiasm, and perhaps a bit of a morbid thought. As a deity, Zoe would regrow lost limbs if it came to it, but not even purposefully attempting to remove her own feet could relieve her of the magical burden. Her own take on the bindings, and most likely what these were based on, was for capture. For once, her own fascination with what mortals could do and how far they were willing to go in their advancements of magic and other innovations annoyed her. Simple bindings to capture and detain powerful warrior mages had become shackles that could limit her own teleportation abilities and negate long range travel and dimension hopping. When Karthus returned with his bubble gum pack, Zoe tilted her head quizzically at him. _"What do you have in mind?_" She asked with a smile.

The way humans could make so many things into one thing was simply amazing, and very difficult for her to figure out even with help. A tram system that went from the bottom of a cliff to the top by means of gears and a pulley, refinement of naturally occurring oil from the ground into a power source for machines, turning plants and animal products into food and resources... these and more were seen as magic to the reality breaking, dimension traveling, and seemingly all powerful aspect of twilight. Part of him was surprised that Zoe wasn't small enough to simply shake them off. He noted that she was very interested in his castle, but he figured she was insatiably curious about everything. How wonderful it must have been to be eternally curious and have the power to be able to act on it. Karthus wondered what kind of strange places Zoe had visited where it wouldn't even be possible for him to exist, and he couldn't help but be a little envious of her. Karthus pushed such thoughts to the back of his mind as Zoe hopped onto a bench. His tool selection would have certainly been adequate for an normal chain or even a magical one, but a chain that was powerful enough to restrain an Aspect would put Karthus' knowledge and equipment to the test. Karthus selected a chisel. "These are enchanted to cut through even the most powerful protective magics I have seen, though I haven't seen binding magic powerful enough to restrain you until you visited," Karthus said. "Let's see if they work." The ghost then began applying elbow grease to the problem. The enchanted chisel glowed and sparks of magic jumped when Karthus brushed it against the chain. Unfortunately, the binding magic was stronger than the cutting magic and the chisel nearly broke. "I can certainly believe that your magic is behind the original set," he commented, "I have more powerful tools and magic to try, but it seems that the basics may not be enough."

Had it been a perfect shot, the chisel might have even split and broke in half. _"The sparks are pretty though."_ Zoe chimed with a smile, and used a bit of magic to conjure a ghostly hand. Controlling it like it was her own, she floated it over to the chip, picked it up and brought it close enough that she could take it in her other hand before the ghostly hand disappeared. _"Let's try this."_ She said as she placed the chip over the key hole around her left ankle and dropped it into the opening. She conjured another hand, much smaller this time, and used the pointer finger of it to find the chip of the chisel. It only took a few seconds for her to do so, and then used her left hand, the one not controlling the ghost hand, to make the hand symbols for a fire spell. There was a pop followed by a snap before a spark, and then a puff of smoke out of the key hole. Zoe frowned and pouted, letting out a breath of a sigh. Her spell having failed. _"Protected on the inside too. Guess we won't be able to force the lock."_ She had hoped to use the metal chip as a focus point to blow the lock open from the inside, but the spell-work seemed to prevent spells from being cast inside from the outside. Could you imagine what kind of jump scares Zoe could pull off?)) Karthus had already found some potentially useful tools by the time Zoe had portaled her way through a significant fraction of Karthus's expansive castle. Zoe had made a collection of trinkets, which she deposited on a nearby stool. A crow's feather, cicada husk, and piece of a roof shingle. She earned a funny look from Karthus as he walked over to her with the tools he had found. "When I first found this castle it wasn't anywhere nearly as magical as it is now," Karthus answered. "It took me quite a while to enchant this place, and it looks like I still have more work to do based off the piece of shingle you found somewhere. It took decades to get a basic level of protection up, and centuries to properly secure my archives, library, basement, and labs." The lich lay out the tool he chose on a nearby lab bench. There was a decent selection of chisels, picks, saws, and even hextech tools for welding and cutting. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself," Karthus continued as Zoe hopped in and out of the basement door. "Though I believe we are ready to try taking those manacles off. I'm sure you'd have more fun if you could walk normally."

Good thing she's chaotic neutral rather than any kind of evil.)) _"Okay!"_ Zoe hadn't forgotten the reason she had come to visit, or that her host had offered to help, but this was only her second time visiting the lich, and the first did not involve going through the castle as they had. So, there were new things she had seen and was seeing and did not know about; if her reaction to their current location was an indication. The aspect wondered over the bench and took a seat atop it, pulling her legs and the shackles onto it as she sat cross-legged. They shook and rattled with her movement, containing to glow that same shimmering green that covered Zoe as well, but otherwise appeared to be normal iron. Normal to most, but producing the magical aura unique to them. _"I can help a little, I just can't travel with magic and portals like I normally do. Now there's a goofy undead postman who wanders Runeterra delivering mail to and from a crotchety old ghost.)) ((I'm going to assume that Zoe is still a few steps above Karthus when it comes to power and that she can still detect to a certain degree.)) Karthus noticed how dampened Zoe was by the manacles. She was as bubbly as ever, but the extra spring in her step wasn't present. She could only float for a few seconds and a time, and not much above and inch or two. It was surprising and somewhat depressing to see her weighed down that much. They obviously had some tremendous binding power to restrain a celestial being such as Zoe. "Please come this way, then," he suggested, leading Zoe through some halls on the way to his library. "I imagine that since you designed those that they would be quite difficult to remove. I'm also assuming that you've tried to do so yourself," he continued. "In that case, it is likely that we will have to do some serious work when it comes to removing them." When Karthus and Zoe arrived at the library, he summoned some ghostly servants who began retrieving books from the shelves. "My brethren," he said, "our friend is in quite the predicament. We're dealing with a set of chains that have enough power to restrain an Aspect of Targon. Please bring any relevant information you find to the basement. I don't think the rest of the castle is capable of withstanding an accident." The ghosts nodded or mumbled in affirmation. Karthus then led Zoe through another hall and down a flight of stairs. At the bottom was a locked door. Zoe could smell the magic behind it. If Karthus had a tool that could remove the chains, it was behind that door. The lich opened the door. Zoe's sparkling hair was the only light at first, but that changed when Karthus made a sweeping gesture and sconces containing torches lit with a bright ethereal blue flame. "Feel free to look around," he offered, "this is where I keep the artifacts that have actual power to them. Some of this stuff is better to keep from the light of day, but I find you trustworthy." Karthus himself began looking through various files, closets and storage containers. "If you find something that you think may work, there is a laboratory outfitted to contain magical calamities over there," he said as he pointed at a door opposite the one they came in. As Zoe looked around, it was apparent that Karthus had amassed a large amount of magical items. Some of which seemed utilitarian, but others were obviously cursed or dangerous. Vials containing necrotic plagues, philters of love, a deck of many things, and various other sorts of dangerous magic objects were contained behind extra enchantments and locks. Other items included what appeared to be magical ice picks, rare books. Zoe could likely sense the presence of a few books of vile darkness and... a book of exalted deeds. Karthus seemed to have those artifacts well hidden, but it was difficult to conceal any kind of magical object from Zoe. In spite of the magic treasure trove Karthus had amassed, the most interesting object in this case appeared to be an enchanted metalworking set. ((They're all pretty much sheet ghosts. Karthus' castle is a very spoopy place.))

All I wanted to do was go home, dry off, and lay in bed. Also, does Karthus have scary spooky skeletons that send shivers down your spine? Or is that only a Pentakill thing? Like a pre-performance?)) _"Don't break your legs looking to help me. I'll get these things off eventually on my own in about a hundred to hundred thousand years. No worries if you fail! And I can still herald the end of days to come for all to hear... I'll just have to take a ferry or rowboat or carriage sometimes."_ The thing about bindings, even powerful ones enchanted by great mages, was that the magic sustaining them faded with time. How much time was the question, but Zoe was an immortal aspect of cosmic origins in a material form. She might lose her physical body, but she could always choose a vessel like the others. That was what made her special compared to the other aspects: Zoe was Zoe, in mind and body. The previous Aspect of Twilight only granted her its powers and the duties that came with them, but she still had everything that was hers. Zoe followed Karthus, now and again leaving his side for a moment to fall through a portal and peek at something she saw in the castle, but she returned a second or two later through the same portal (her in-game ultimate). The times she left and returned, she had something small on her person; the feather from a crow, an empty insect husk, and a fragment of a piece of roofing. Nothing special, and quickly discarded onto a piece of furniture (be it a stand, a bin, a window sill or frame, or something of the like). At the portal into the laboratory, however, Zoe paused and frowned at the doorway briefly before stepping inside... and then stepped outside. A childish smile came to her face and she repeated the process of stepping in and out a few times, hopping, floating, and spinning, before she entered the room and stayed, hopping in place like it was a game. _"It's like walking into another dimension! Did you make this or was it here before?"_ To Zoe, this would be called a shieldstone cavern (d&d 3.5 complete mage 153, magical locations), a place of powerful protection magic created by the constant use of protective magics that simply became a part of an area. In the aspect's case, it felt like she was moving into another dimension without the use of magic, which was something she was not used to and found exciting. The items, relics and artifacts and all, were noticed by Zoe, but nothing she had seen before in other realities and dimensions she had traveled to.

It looked welcoming compared to the fetid marshes, twisted forests, and empty fields of the island that Zoe had to walk through to get here. One wondered how Karthus got his mail. Actually, one may wonder how anyone got mail on the Shadow Isles. The Deathsinger wasn't expecting visitors, let alone the Aspect of Twilight. He was already at the gate of his castle keep by the time Zoe announced herself; the enchantments Karthus placed in his territory let him know who was coming. Zoe would see the large oaken door open to welcome her. Karthus was visibly surprised to see that Zoe had a large set of shackles on her ankles and was wearing a large coat that looked like it had been made for an adult. Her hair was also less starry than when last he saw her and Zoe's aura was emerald green. "Hello Zoe," Karthus greeted her, "you look... tired. I'm surprised to see you back here so soon. Please, come inside." Karthus was dressed about as casually as he ever was. He wore his mage's robes, but his normal regalia must have been in a closet somewhere. The ghost was dressed for a day in the library and probably wasn't prepared for the antics that would inevitably ensue. Still, Zoe was here and she required attention. Once he had welcomed Zoe, he offered what hospitality he could, "Do you need a place to hang up your coat? I don't have any food prepared, but I could make some moonpies. I have Tasha's recipe catalogued and the ingredients on hand." It was then that Karthus chose to address the elephant in the room, "And would you like some help in finding a way to get those dreadful chains off your feet?"

The food was all eaten, the water bottles empty, and it was already scratched up pretty bad from the trees. She could mend it with magic, but she did not care about it. Leather was made of animal hide, and all parts of animals decomposed, right? So, there was no problem with her abandoning it. _"You can make something if you want to, but I'd rather get these shackles off."_ Zoe took a couple more steps before drifting into the air a few centimeters off the ground. She was noticeably much closer to the ground compared to when he usually saw her doing this, her feet barely leaving the ground and her time in the air only a few seconds before she touched back down onto the ground. The chains creaking softly before she landed. The shackles acted normally, but it was clear there was something about them as she was acting differently. The shackles themselves were, indeed, very powerful and very much magical, but how to get them off was not something she knew. It was really strange as she could not access her powers to find out about it, but at least she could still use magic. _"I'm pretty sure these are one of the things I gave the ancient Shurima people to deal with their god-warriors, but I can't remember. I think these were mine, but I'm pretty sure they were made of plant fibers, not cold wrought iron._" ((Something Zoe designed, yes. : The Castle in the Marsh (Ask Karthus)
Walking... She could not even guess, not in her wildest dreams or most outlandish fantasies, how long it had been since she was forced to walk on her own two feet. A long, long, REALLY LONG time... at least she thought. She did use her legs and walk around like normal sometimes, but those were always by choice. Now, for now at least, she had no choice. She wondered how most people did it all of their lives. At least, walking through the spongy, marshy grounds of the Deathsinger's swamp, she could not deny that the feeling was very strange and kind of funny. It was like walking ankle deep on a beach, except instead of shells and small aquatic animals, it was mostly mossy ground and bugs and sticks and rocks. She did decide to ignore the undead and scare them off with a what little power of hers she could muster. Compared to how she was normally and the magical powers she was able to manifest at thought, Zoe was still one of the most powerful spell casters on Runeterra, but not on the godly levels she was used to. Finally, Zoe was at the stone wall of Karthus' castle. She took a deep breath, stretched her arms, and started walking through the entry way, dragging a wrought iron chain connected to her ankles along with her. Zoe was, by visual and aura, different from her last meeting with Karthus. The Aspect of Twilight glowed with a shimmering emerald green field, minus the chain and shackles, and her hair, like the cosmos above, was 80% orange, like her natural hair color, and the rest was like the starry sky. Finally, she was wearing an over-sized jacket to cover most of her body from the chilly air of the Shadow Isles. _"HEEEEEEY!!! Are you home! KARTHUS!!! It's me! Zoe!"_ She called out, cupping her hands over her mouth and shouting as she walked. ((A little background on this: Zoe's powers are limited by a set of dimensional shackles on her ankles, preventing her from teleporting around and limiting her aspect-like abilities. While the shackles only really effect travel based spells, I like the idea of them being specially made for a target.))

In my opinion, Leona and Diana are avatars of their faiths, not full blown aspects like Zoe or Pantheon; at least I think Pantheon will be the real deal. An idea I do have for Diana is that she is the vessel for a dying Lunari deity, the elderly woman from her biography. Since I'm basing a lot of how I RP Zoe on D&D 3.5, a lack of worshipers would diminish a deity's power to the point they'd be mortal. For Zoe, she can draw power from the Rakkor pantheon, not just the Lunari, due to her job as a herald and messenger.)) _"Yeah. I'm a terrible babysitter, but I'm not the worst-"_ Zoe stopped in mid sentence when Ariella began to cry. It was sudden and unexpected, prompting the aspect to think the mortal just did not like the warm bubble, but doubted that since she was shivering and complaining about the cold before it was conjured. She frowned and put her hand to her chin, thinking of something she could do to stop her from crying. It wasn't the temperature, so maybe it was the immediate travel to an unknown location. The mortal did not seem to have an idea of how she wanted to reach the summit of the mountain, but Zoe knew she could not simply teleport her to the top. After all, the journey was what changed people, not the destination... Unless an aspect was waiting up top to give away its powers to a worthy avatar, but those chances were... population of Runeterra as a whole vs- **_Zoe raised a hand and began counting silently to herself, trying to think of how many mortals were chosen thus far._** She came to five. So, it was highly unlikely there'd be another aspect avatar or vessel or heir for at least a few weeks. And then, an idea came to her when she considered the feathers. Maybe she just wanted to see these people she had mentioned again! If they were dead, that just meant a quick trip to the afterlife to find them! _"Oh! I got it! Let's go!"_ She said, and then reached forward, grabbing Ariella's hand with the feathers in both of hers, careful to not damage the feathers, and smiled. _"I forgot their names, but let's go see your kids or friends or family!"_ A moment later, in the blinking of an eye, they were in a different place, a different world. The immediate change was that the world had a dull look to it, like all bright colors were drained from it and replaced with darker ones. The other change was Zoe, whose whole body not took on the appearance of her hair, a swirling and rotating mess of colors and sparkles and stars. _"And we're here! The land of the dead; not to be confused with the Shadow Isles. So, where'd they die? Spirits tend to linger near there and wait there in a state of limbo; the state of being, not the game. Oh! We should play that when we find them! But dead people and spirit people can cheat really easily, so be careful."_ _"Also, don't let go of my hand, or you'll be sent back to the world of the living where you are. If we're flying or in the sea or in rock... I can't revive you; not that kind of aspect."_ ((When you're the aspect of change, and yet you never matured enough to know feelings of grief and loss.))

Zoe reached over and took the skull in her hand, palm on the crown, and pulled it out of Jamie's hand. As she did, in the motion of it leaving his hand, moving in hers, and toward the space next to them, the skull began to revert back to what it was in life. The figure was an average built man with a burly beard, scars across his face and arms, and wearing a damaged but functional attire resembling that of a pirate's from an age long past. It was not armed, moving, or breathing, but was simply an illusion of what it was and what it belonged to. _"I'd say he was buried to his neck in sand and left to drown in the tide."_ She then dropped the skull, the illusion going with it in a burst of sparkles and drifted on the water like stars, and shrugged her shoulders. _"Oh well. Nothing I can do. I'm the aspect of change, not life."_ She then smiled and climbed onto the surface of the water, sitting on it like the floor and placing her bucket and shell on the water next to her as she smiled at her new friend. _"Want to try again?
