: With an increase in collegiate participation in League and Esports, why not host a draft each year in reverse order of records? This can help ensure the talent is better divided among various franchises so the same team is not continually winning every split or acquiring the latest and greatest talent due to their brand name and the ability to pay players higher wages.Use the Challenger series as a developmental league for these players to practice and better their skills until they're ready to be brought up into the LCS. Again, it doesn't necessarily need to be a collegiate draft, but at least a draft of some sort so that player talent is more evenly divided among LCS Franchises.
This is a good idea. Best teams should not only be decided on their recruiting and ability to pay players. Long term a draft should be implemented.
: Now how about adding 10 bans for common players?
They did say they are looking into that for this year, but are concerned about it adding to long game start times.

Where are the community activities outside of the games? Anything going on outside of the viewing parties at Millenium Park? Fan meet-ups? Where do people go to find such community activities? We ran into some fans on Navy Pier and in Millenium Park because they had on LOL gear. Would be great to meet up with more.

: Hey Patcat, Unfortunately, we've had to change our initial plans for the community experience in Chicago, and the Riftwalk won't be present at Quarterfinals. We do our best to avoid adjustments like this one, but getting the word out on upcoming events is always a bit of a tug-of-war between waiting until event details are 100% locked and letting players know early enough to make plans. In this case, based on player feedback regarding the amount of seating for Quarterfinals compared to other Worlds stops, we decided that it made the most sense to concentrate our efforts on viewing parties that would give more players an accessible, high-energy viewing experience. Getting this kind of stuff right early enough for you and others to make plans is something we're always working to improve; regardless, I'm sorry for the change and any effect on your own plans, and hope the rest of your Quarterfinals experience kicks ass.

Thank you for the reply on the Riftwalk. However, I do think you are decreasing the value of the tickets I purchased - since they included admission to the Riftwalk. I understand that things can change, just sucks because the way we made travel plans we won't be able to attend any of the viewing parties either. Probably a good thing for the locals. I do think it is good to make adjustments for the huge interest and the way too small venue. Changing flights would have been a $400 charge (thanks united), so we will have to skip it. Hopefully, Friday night's games are worth the trip.
: Worlds Riftwalk and Community Events
Initially, it was announced that Riftwalk would be in Chicago on 15th and 16th. http://www.lolesports.com/en_US/articles/worlds-2016-quarterfinals-tickets _"The Riftwalk will be in Chicago on October 15-16 at Millennium Park, just a short walk from Quarterfinals at Chicago Theatre."_ We are flying in from North Carolina and extended our travel plans to attend Riftwalk. :( Also, awesome that you guys added free viewing parties!! However, we couldn't get Saturday/Sunday tickets so are flying back home Saturday night. Would have stayed if we knew about the viewing parties. :( :( (Not really trying to complain - just letting you guys know that people make travel plans early to get hotel rooms and less expensive flights. These late changes mean that we won't get the most out of our experience. And, not having the Riftwalk means less of an experience too - hoping that was just an oversight in the copy.) Thanks!

I was there 10 minutes early, refreshed right as the clock hit 0:00, was able to get 2 tickets for Friday. Took me 90 seconds or so to compete that order, then clicked on Saturday games. : The champion grading system is determined by many factors. [Champion Mastery](http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Champion_Mastery) > Every game you play with a champion, you will earn a grade based on how well you performed in comparison to all other players in your region that have played your champion-position combination (i.e., Vel'Koz bottom lane will only be compared to other Vel'Koz bottom lane players), with S+ only being awarded to the highest percentile of players. [2] These grades are not persistent and only represent how well you performed in that specific game. However, a higher grade is worth more points towards your mastery of that particular champion" Basically, Poppy top and a Poppy Support are graded differently. Although it is not told to us, it is assumed that the grades are determined by the role the champ played. Your KDA , Kill participation, Objectives, game length, etcetera are weighted against the average of players who played that role for the champ. S +/- You did fantastic than other people who attempted your champ in that role A +/- Almost there bud B+/- Meeting average C +/-Little less than average D Need I say more? hahah Experience: I got 0/2/21 as a soraka in a 30 minute game: S Friend went 5/1/5 Heimderinger same game top: S- If you get 3/**7**/13 as a support in a 30 minute game. You will most likely not even tap a S. My take on this: Keep KDA postively high, Participate in teamfights, and Keep your objective cotnrol top-notch. You can still get an S-rank if your team loses... keeps me somewhat motivated.

: Well, perhaps there isn't supposed to be much of a canon to Summoner's Rift anymore. Kinda like how we have Spartans killing fellow Spartans in Halo Multiplayer, League of Legends the game is just that, a game. There's a fine line between the Rift where we battle to the death and the world where the champions live. Of course, that's my opportunistic view of it. Realistically, we gotta remember that Riot decided to make this lore change four years _after_ the initial imagination and creation of the game. If Riot really decided that a lore revamp was necessary for the game to move forward as something exciting and imaginative, which they did, I'd imagine they would be faced with two options: 1) Shut down the servers for an extended period of time while they have the lore and game developers redesign the entire game so both aspects mesh well together; or 2) do what they have done and have lore focus on creating an immersive story and gameplay focus on creating fun gameplay, with some connections in between champion and their skill sets. Seeing that they choose the latter, I imagine the only times the Rift has canon for now is if {{champion:41}} happens to be playing :P Thanks for taking the time to read my opinion

: To everyone crying about rare skins, boo friggedy hoo. One, Riot is going to compensate you. I had the original haunting Nocturne, and when he got re-released, I got a nifty little decoration on the loading screen for that skin. It's a way for Riot to give people old content while still acknowledging the legacy players. Two, some people didn't have the opportunity to buy the skin when they came out. Some of us were/are in the military and we're on deployment when these events happen. Should we be punished because we're serving? Maybe someone had a family emergency and didn't have a nickel to spare when the event started so they couldn't get the skin when it came out. Should they be punished for being responsible and understanding the value of a dollar when a crisis arose? If you're really against players having another chance at getting content when Riot is still going to give you something to acknowledge you had it vintage, you're just downright selfish.
It's ok - I have new legislation drafted to protect players from this type of harassment.

: For some reason I can't reply to your next comment down, so I'm replying here. As ploki122 mentioned, picking a specific champion actually can be greatly beneficial in learning the game. When you learn matchup knowledge, for example, there are simply too many variables: lane jungle matchups, item starts, mid lane matchups, and so on. Adding in your own power curve and you have yet another variable to learn. Shrinking that variable to one champion speeds the learning process, and this is something a *large number* of pro players did before becoming pro. Westrice was once an Akali main, and Quas, arguably one of the best 3 NA LCS top laners, was once a lowly top main of - you guessed it - Poppy. The benefits to maining an offball champion are many. First, you're unlikely to get nerfed. The stability of the champion makes that matchup learning process even easier. Incidentally, this is why people got so worked up over reworks of niche champions. Second, you're likely to learn how to exploit people's weaknesses in knowledge, which is a skill you can nurture to be useful in other ways. If your rubric is applicability to lower level players, then it's arguable that pretty much no posts on Lolesports matter. Most pro level strategies are only viable when executed at that level. For example, varying levels in average farm make some champions very strong at higher levels, because they reach their power spikes at a reasonable time. The Trinity Force BotRK build is a perfect example of that. It is quite strong in the LCS due to the ability of top laners to farm nearly perfectly. Champions like Kassadin and Vayne require a lot of team attention, and strategies like level 2 dragons require knowledge of juggling dragon aggro. Me? I'm almost a one-trick pony myself. I'm at mid-D1 level of skill on 5 champions: Top: Cho Jungle: Skarner, Hecarim, Nasus Support: Sona The fact that I main jungle/support means I almost always get my role, which means I'm learning and improving every game. The fact that my 3 jungler champions are so similar means the skills port over easily, which, again, means I'm always improving. Most importantly, however, I picked those champions not because I thought they were the best, but because I *love* playing them. This ensures than I never will get bored of playing them, and can constantly get better and better at them. I'm currently in about the top 1500 players in NA, and I hope to keep improving and make Master's League when it comes out. If nothing else, I think those results speak for themselves, considering that I was Gold V just over a year ago.
