It isn't Riot's matchmaking system that let you down; it's you. If you are better than the average player at your current MMR, and if you play enough games, you will inevitably climb. If you fail to climb, then you personally are doing something wrong. This must be true because diamond+ players can easily and often do grind Smurf accounts from bronze to diamond. The mentality that you aren't responsible for your rank, but that rather Riot's matchmaking is all that matters, is toxic for you and will only hold you back. Take responsibility and work on improving your play.

: What is Harder? Calculus or Linear Algebra
Your question is impossible to answer, and anyone who attempts to do so is probably speaking from the perspective of their own experiences, which will only mislead you. Linear Algebra and Calculus are both broad, complex fields that span a wide domain. Also, they overlap, to an extent, as all subsets of math do, which complicates things further. If you're looking for a vague idea of how people tend to react to them, then, based on everything I've heard from my colleagues, in addition to my own experiences, I would say that Calc 1 tends to be easy, calc 2 tends to be difficult, and calc 3 is just the real-world application of calc 1 and calc 2. When it comes to linear algebra, difficulty level is kind of up in the air. I thought it was pretty simple, but some intelligent people I know struggle with it. As with all classes, the difficulty level depends largely on your professor, and as with all fields of study, it depends largely on whether you happen to be good at it.

Rather, I think that Riot is simply mislead in how they go about conducting player punishment. They're trying grow a healthy playerbase, but they're actually contributing to toxicity. I agree, though I think it's some combination of both. Whatever their motives it's not really important though. Riot fanboys will say things like "riot tried letting perma banned players get their accounts back and reform systems" Which was true, but they have yet to exhaust all the options. Time, e.g. people mature after a few years, and long term total chat ban both sending and receiving are both avenues they could explore to a much greater effect imo.

I agree with all of the above. Regardless of why Riot permabans players, the fact that there are other, less permanent, and potentially less damaging options that haven't yet been seriously considered, is somewhat worrisome. If Riot can see that permabanning players isn't a great mechanic for nurturing a healthy playerbase (which, at the least, I know you and I both agree on), then, as a result, Riot has a duty to consider more positive alternatives. > [{quoted}](name=notFREEfood,realm=NA,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=ptBgBVOs,comment-id=000200000001,timestamp=2018-03-19T00:45:07.311+0000) > > The point of permabanning players isn't to make them create new accounts; it's to get them to quit. You could rage and flame every game and only rarely ever get punished. The game back then was much more toxic and hostile; much more like low levels are now. > > Riot also has systems in place to identify smurfs; I think the people who complain the most about smurfs are those that get tagged as such because they themselves are smurfing. I realize that the purpose of permabanning players isn't to make them create new accounts, but toxic players creating new accounts is a direct effect of them being permabanned (or, at least, that is how it seems to be from personal observation). I imagine we can both agree that toxic players creating new accounts and spreading their toxicity to low elo and new players isn't a good thing for League's playerbase. Therefore, if it is true that toxic players who are permabanned are likely to create new accounts, then permabanning toxic players isn't necessarily a good thing. Detecting and banning smurfs would likely mitigate the issue of toxic, permabanned players creating new accounts, but it would also stop positive, experienced, teamwork-oriented players from creating smurfs and playing in low elo for fun, which would negatively impact the playerbase. Smurfing isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is only bad when the smurf is toxic or harsh. Playing with a smurf can be a positive experience for everyone involved if the smurf is a good person. You need to play with people better than you to improve.
: Doubt it, though they should. People can change a lot in 3-5 years. It's not in riots best interest to do this though because then players might actually stop creating alternate accounts and giving them lots of money.

Ahri is good, has always been good, and fits into many teamcomps. I don't know much when it comes to adc, but cait is generally nice to have on a team. : I feel like Nocturne Top is sleeper OP
It's impossible for him to not push, which is a massive risk considering how squishy he is. Also, if he loses lane, CSing with him under tower is pretty difficult due to his passive and lack of an aa reset. I used to play him top and mid for fun, but picking him vs a top laner and jungler who actually know what they're doing is a big risk. Also, noc top doesn't bring much to the team late game. If you build him dmg, he dies almost instantly, and if you build him tanky, he's a walking single target fear. He relies on snowballing early game by shoving lane and ganking other lanes post-6. If he manages to do that successfully, then the game will be a stomp. If the enemy jungler successfully ganks him a single time before he hits 6, or if the enemy top laner knows how to play safe, farm under tower, and spam call MIAs, a team with Noc top will have a difficult time winning the game.

GochiUsa is one of the best moe anime out there. Glad to hear you're enjoying it. If you're into stuff like that, I recommend HaNaYaMaTa and Kiniro Mosaic. I understand why it's considered one of Deen's classics though from my experience with what I've seen. I believe Fate/A is licensed by Netflix? Which explains why I'm not watching it. Netflix doesn't understand that simulcasting is a thing, so their anime tend to end up just as dead as Amazon's. One of the only times I'm fine with watching anime on an illegal site is when Netflix licenses it because I have a Netflix account and I refuse to wait until after anime finish airing. I feel like it added interesting context to what and who he is. Also, the main characters are of course kids, so it makes sense that they would play fun at stuff like that. Regarding the "stringing up naked" stuff, I simply took that as adding context to the world they live in. I.E. severe punishments for seemingly meager crimes committed by children are common. : For the weebs on here: Rate my taste in anime
All of the anime you listed have strong production styles and/or intricate, emotionally/morally heavy plotlines. I wouldn't recommend anything on your list (besides maybe Parasyte) to someone new to anime, despite rating many of the shows 8/10 or higher. Based on your list, you definitely don't have "bad taste." Maybe to someone who praises shows like SAO and DanMachi that might be the case, but to anyone who's seen at least a couple hundred anime and is able to recognize decent writing & production quality, your list is solid. EDIT- I just read the Red's post above mine. They're basically saying what I attempted to say, but in a clearer way. Using the word "niche" sums it up quite well, although that doesn't apply to everything on your list (Ex: Parasyte is, for the most part, universally appreciated).

Maybe you should just move to Canada instead. Or actually better yet, why not let _them_ decide on what they want to do?

If a child truly wants to experience a conventional educational setting, then that bears considerable weight.

: Not a big fan of CGI anime but this looks decent enough

In general, CG tends to turn people away, but no studio handles it as well as PP. Also, their character models are normally pretty realistic (as opposed to over-the-top animated characters), which personally I've come to appreciate.

: Anyone have relaxing guitar music very similar to this?
Sounds like you might be looking for Math Rock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72bSybRangA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqR4yNYWxx4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIyDGS6KBS8 EDIT - It's a mellow, groovy kind of rock with complex progressions. Like Progressive Rock but it doesn't take as long to fully develop. It's great music for relaxing to imo.

Congratulations, and gl hf. Assuming this is your first time living away from your hometown and family, I recommend simply doing what you want and having fun with life. Obviously you shouldn't neglect your studies entirely, but remember that living life and strengthening your character is just as important of a university experience as gaining new knowledge.

Start {{item:1054}} with armor yellows and after your first buy (assuming you get armor) he can't hurt you easily. When he's not in lane, ping the shit out of your team, make them play passively, and shove lane hard. If you do all that, you should be fine unless he's a much better player than you.
