: Because their abilities are often incredibly important? Like, sure, you can look at ~~Kog~~, Draven, or Trist, where CDR is largely irrelvant and you'd only pick it up as almost an accident, but then there's also Ashe, Xayah, Sivir, and Varus, who are all fairly reliant on their abilities to do anything. Yes, they auto a lot, but their abilities are pretty damn important. EDIT: I was corrected on Kog. Apparently he does want CDR.

Yeah, in baseball it isn’t uncommon for them to go down but only 1 tier. They still play against other pros in minor leagues. It’s like going from LCS to academy.

When Pyke picks up a kill with his ult the last champ to hit them gets the kill gold too (I think as long as they would have gotten an assist) so a Pyke getting a kill with ult and giving assist is worth more to the team than the dying loses...technically.

PLEASE CORRECT ANY OF MY BAD NUMBERS OR LOGIC WITH EXPLANATION PLEASE, I WANT TO LEARN! Before I start I use the term "bot only" marksman to indicate the champs that are traditional adc's such as Jinx, Ashe, Cait, Kog. I do this to distinguish from marksmen like Quinn, Graves, Teemo, Kindred that regularly go other places. I hate to use the term ADC because that includes things like Yi and Trynd but that is besides the point. Technically, yes, you can play any champ anywhere and you should be able to if you can. The effectiveness point only works to an extent though. Of course a higher elo adc could play a "bot only" marksman mid/jg/top lane and destroy. I have seen it before. I have seen more examples of champs other than marksman being bot lane and winning than a "bot only" marksman going anywhere else. This is just anecdotal though. Using the current OP.gg champion stats clicking on the bottom tab shows 21 champs 4 of them are not marksmen, 14 of them only show play in bottom lane (so not enough play in the other lanes to warrant stat totals) The only 3 marksmen that are played bot that also have another entry Vayne top, Twitch jg, and MF sup. The 4 champs that are not "bot only" marksmen are Cass, Yas, Heimer, and Victor. Yas goes bot 7.53% of his pick rate. Viktor goes bot 7.39% of his pick rate. These are very small amounts. So I don't think that they are crowding out marksmen by any means but I conclude that this shows that this is the extent that effectiveness anywhere takes root. Marksmen are not effective enough to have a staple play rate anywhere. tldr: I am very certain that there are players in the elo's that OP.gg encompasses that play "bot only" marksman in other lanes, just not enough to warrant a stat. This shows that the effectiveness of the "bot only" marksman in other lanes is not there. "bot only" marksmen are strong only in the context of bot lane (where they are the dominant class obviously!!) I'm not saying don't bring other classes bot, just let "bot only" marksman go other places too.

Completely true in higher ranks. Keeping her from roaming even a little is a huge help. In low rank it usually evolves into LeBlanc just bursting her laning opponent with QR to force out or set up a kill.

Ravenous Hydra is highly NOT recommended to be purchased, even on champions that it would be good with. Most champions that buy tiamat in the first place are Jax and such. But they will never complete it. Meta build currently - {{item:3077}} {{item:3078}} {{item:3053}} and finally {{item:3748}} Essentially what I'm saying is most people that do buy Tiamat, will just use it to shove wave and do a fast recall. Then buy their normal core item. (Meaning the initial 1200 gold investment gives much more gold to these champions, than rushing Triforce first essentially giving them more gold at the end of the day) {{champion:104}} Even harder to kill {{champion:92}} The item is relatively cheap (2900), if the player wants cooldown and goes BC or Ghostblade she gets popped instantly by the jungler, leaving top as a very easy tower first blood from 1 flash play. Many Riven players will grab Death's Dance second or third, simply beause of how much durability it gives AFTER buying BC or before, But then she's behind in terms of shoving the lane for teleport plays, or will struggle to SHOVE lane fast enough for a recall in the first place (enemy laner with tiamat will clear wave and chunk your tower with the jungler himself)
Agreed completely that {{item:3074}} isn't very good and on {{champion:24}} it is definitely better to go {{item:3748}} . I just don't know if you get {{item:3053}} before {{item:3748}} though because the auto reset is so valuable on him so I don't even think he would build this version of {{item:3812}} The build would have to change {{item:3077}} {{item:1053}} {{item:3133}} and some gold but then you would have 75 AD on the items to combine into an item with 60 AD. Idk what the point about {{champion:104}} is to be honest. The point about riven though is weird. If you are worried about getting popped then your gold should be spent on {{item:3047}} {{item:3155}} or get both health and CD reduction with {{item:3067}}. That final point is kinda redundant because you said that {{champion:92}} without {{item:3077}} wouldn't have waveclear like a champ with {{item:3077}} and that is obvious. Ravenous overall does need a change although what it could be

I'm not complaining about him being broken, just completely unfun to play against. I don't want him nerfed necessarily, I would just like to have fun playing against him. I don't see any solutions without a relative rework though and that could be a hit or a miss.
: Sometimes, I think part of the problem with Yasuo discussions, or just general balance discussions, is that even those who are attempting to argue in good faith don't consciously recognize that experiences can vary immensely based on the champion picked. For example, assassin players are drawing from their experience vs. Janna or Lulu, meanwhile playing someone like Lux there's legitimately no way you should ever kill the Yasuo without jungle help.
I'm not talking about kills. I understand completely that any mage shouldn't be able to just force down an opposing laner early. I just think it's a lot to handle for any character.

I'm just saying do what will help your team. You can completely play any support champion. Lux for example, if your team has a an assassin mid and a bruiser/fighter top you don't need to be building damage. Build to help your team survive so that they can carry like they are meant to. If your team has tank top and ivern jungle with an ad mid, sure build that damage and be the AP threat. I'm in no way blaming the support for an ADC's death. Early game it is the supports job to get the ADC to a point that they can carry but if the lane goes to shit go help the other lanes. A bad adc is a detriment but ultimately they are only meant to deal damage and will get there if the rest of the team has been able to survive and hold on. The support is potentially the biggest difference in a team fight. I hold support as a role to a higher standard. It's in the name of the role to simply be the crutch to the team to fill in whatever the team is missing.

You can play whatever you want. What I am saying is that you don't need to build full damage if your team already has damage from top and mid. Build utility and whatever will help your team.

: What do other assassins have? Khazix has stealth. Zed has immense burst damage that requires no setup. Fizz has troll pole. Without wind wall do you know what happens to Yasuo? An ADC right clicks on him and he dies. If you notice, practically every other assassin has a method to escape. Yasuo does not UNLESS there is a creep between him and his escape path. What do other fighters have? Incredible damage without NEEDING to build crit. They get this from stuff like Xin's ability spam or Fiora's true damage based on her AD. How to beat Yasuo? Vi will destroy him all game long. There is very little, if anything that he can do unless you ult him at a moronic time. Simply wait until he doesn't have that third Q up (when he's glowing and ready to knock people up), ult him and bash his face in. Xin Zhao also destroys him. Jax destroys him. Fizz destroys him. Irelia destroys him. Maokai will totally ruin his day since he can't do much when he's rooted. Nasus will obliterate him once he has 300+ Q stacks. Rammus can shut him down. Malphite can shut him down.
Yasuo doesn’t NEED to build crit. The only reason he does is because the passive makes crit so much more efficient on him. Without that passive I’m 100% sure you would see a more traditional fighter build. Other assassins don’t have the utility that Yasuo has. True they have ways to protect themselves while going in but windwall protects the entire team. Also the added knock up and suspension makes his team fighting greater than many assassins.

: People hate being bursted, not being shredded. There is a difference. When Lucian jumps out, Q-Double AA-W-Double AA-E-Double AA some of which were crits and you die, this is fine. Took a bunch of autos and spell weaving. When Trist or Cait literally 2-3 shot you because they built super amount of crit and AD, this becomes a problem. This happens to squishies, but not to ADCs because they sport lifesteal and it synergizes insanely well with crit and AD. So the common argument is "Well if you're squishy, build a tanky item" but that won't save you either since it's an ADC that will instead 4 shot you. But, they can afford to go full squishy and drain tank while annihilating anyone else that goes squishy because they'll have 5 items of damage and boots while anyone else is expected to have at most 4 to baseline survive. This is why some champs are infuriating to ADCs, like Syndra or Zed because they can pull off equal damage to them late game while remaining relatively safe while doing so if done correctly. You can't drain tank Zed or Syndra due to the nature of their burst. Now in the past, this sort of power for ADCs came in the late game, and that was acceptable. But that damage has moved earlier and earlier. Now I'm not saying mid game they 3 shot you but they are hitting power spikes and solo capability too early in the game and that's what people are annoyed with.
I completely agree that being bursted is annoying but what I'm trying to say is that a class that is meant to destroy tanks will also destroy squishies but faster due to less resistances and health. That's what is happening with the current system. Adc's build almost entirely damage so obviously less tanks champs will not stand a chance. Being bursted by an adc sucks, I know I have been. That's why I'm trying to figure solutions to an extent. Another solution that I have thought of is a ramp up like old MF passive. This will allow for adc's with good positioning that can get off multiple autos will be rewarded and keep people from being bursted.

The flaw with your argument is that you are comparing AD dashes to Mage dashes. That is like saying that AP has too many stuns compared to fighters. Also, that unknown damaging Zed dash. Lucians dash is just a dash, I don't know about any bonus utility or damage with it (not counting his passive because it is its own affect.) Nocturn's dash is on his R. And being nitpicky about it, is shen really AD? We can just call him tank. If we are including shen as AD then we should include Sejuani in the AP side along with Maokai

I am in no way saying that bot lane is weak. Nothing makes me more angry than seeing somebody get auto filled support and not be able to support in their elo. That is not to say that they don't belong in their elo as maybe a mid or top main.

: It's a specific counterpick for Zyra when paired with Ashe. Zyra is extremely fragile and the E max support MF can poke her very hard from pretty long range. Double Up also isn't half bad since her plants offer really easy bounce points. At level 6 Ashe basically arrows Zyra then MF kills her with her ult. You either get the Zyra flash or she dies everytime because she lacks ways to get away from it. Support MF seems pretty weak outside of that specific counterpick.
This makes sense to an extent but I just don't see why another support couldn't work. I feel that Lux poke is just as acceptable in the above scenario. Like why was MF chosen for that specific match-up? Either way, thank you for the explanation.

Yasuo is truly one of the harder champs to just go play. I don't mean you play one game though. Put some time into understanding how to counter your personal "OP" champs.
