This is a pretty bad nerf to Pyke in both of his solo lanes (his jungle really was never all that great, I'm not even gonna talk about that one). Top he will now get hard fucked in lanes he was supposed to do better in thanks to sustain. A good example is vs. Jayce. Jayce will now hard fuck Pyke level 1, or will just have to choose to not farm at all. You used to go E second in this lane, but if you even want to think about farming you have to go level 3 and you're really never going to have much kill pressure in that lane now. The same is for other champs that would try to harass hard early game. Mid lane is also hurt because people aren't going to want to put points in W there early on anyways for the exact reasons you mentioned: it's hard to sustain to begin with. That sustain still matters though, and now you're just getting none of it.

The main reason full AD teams are strong is because AD is more efficient early game and with tower plates and an overall faster pace to the game it's better for stomping games quickly. Tanks aren't necessarily bad (and I do think they'll get quite a bit stronger after this last set of nerfs), they just aren't able to deal with the cheese and scale before the game ends.

Who thought "man my favorite league pay feature is event passes!", I've seen nothing but hardcore criticism about the last 2 passes being absolute dog shit, from what the rewards were and for how insanely impossible it was to get good value from the pass when you could only realistically redeem 1-2 rewards and a majority of those coins come from the event, not the pass. As someone who's purchased every pass that came out, It feels really disheartening with what I got. Atleast with the VS riven and yasuo event I got the ward skins AND the border AND an emote along with crappy hextech crafting stuff.
Actually, people were huge fans of the World's Pass. It offered a lot of value for the price and received some pretty positive feedback on Reddit. The Snowdown Pass has more of a mixed set of reviews, but still, it's value was pretty good if you made use of it. If you don't like it, speak with your wallet. If you buy, why would Riot assume you don't want it?

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for your loss and I'm glad you found joy in little things like this. It's been a while (now in college), but I still remember how excited I was as an only child to finally have a little brother. I was excited to introduce him to video games, Smash Bros, Legend of Zelda, and eventually games like LoL. He died shortly after birth and it was so devastating for me, but I found happiness in other things too in a similar way you did and it helps you get through it a lot. Obviously it's going to take some time to heal, but if you attempt again for a child I hope everything goes well. You seem like you'd be a great father too. I actually used to play Ezreal support a lot in the past. I would Max W, get AP, go Aery, buy Ardent, and then spam W on my ADC and enemy and just poke. I'd later have a ton of AP and a solid AS steroid (and cute shield). Since the rework, however, I haven't touched it now that it has zero utility, and I had no clue anyone else ever played it.

And assume we know more about the champion than Riot. We played them a lot after all, who else would know them better? I like class updates, but I won't ignore that they've left some champions in worse states that only a full VGU will solve. That's why I want Mordekaiser after Eve. Because goddamn it we need proof that Riot will fix their mistakes with giving them the attention that they _need_.
I think for the most part their class updates have been awesome, but they have left some champs behind, I think they need to be more wary of that.

: I'm already aware that most assassins were nerfed, I'm saying the marksmen should be brought down to match them. As the opinion about them being the least enjoyable . . . what can I say? It's just right clicking to win; and because their damage scales up so high, they're always targeted first in fights, nothing new. They're not weak, they need to work with their team; but most are too arrogant to admit needing peel/coverfire, or too hostile to their teamates to the point no-one wants to help them. Frankly I don't care about the pros, all they do is pick the most overpowered/overloaded champions, and they make up less than 1% of the player base.

Uh, what? The assassin update was a nerf across the board for the vast majority of assassin's. On top of that, the marksmen class is regarded as the weakest and least enjoyable role at he moment. You can look at my match history, I play neither assassin nor marksmen, but I can at least recognize they are weak, especially marksmen. Just about every single pro at the moment is complaining about the state of the marksmen class, just take one look at the front page of reddit (the community that Riot actually listens to, this is coming from someone who enjoys both communities.)

Jayce is still a problem by design, and there needs to be an exploitable window of opportunity in his kit or he'll remain the uncontested king of top lane.
Usually, I tend to just play champions with sustain that can out scale him. Irelia or example is an excellent pick against him. People who can dash on him twice are great, or people with strong CC (Pantheon, Renekton, and Irelia). Jayce also falls off late game, so picking someone who outscales him usually works out well. Also, he does have one exploitable window in his laning phase, the second he swaps to cannon stance, jump on that boy and woop him. Again, he's falling out of favor slowly, and Riot already stated they likely wouldn't be nerfing him. I do agree though that he needs a bigger window to kill him in his laning phase. Personally I think reducing his armor in cannon stance, and further increasing it in hammer stance is a good way to go. That way if he's caught out close range in cannon stance, he can be killed pretty easily.

Jayce is fine. Preseason changes brought his win-rate down to a nice balanced level, additionally his playrate has also dropped. I think Riot already stated anyways that he wasn't a big enough issue to justify a nerf.

That's kinda the idea though. You jump in, burst, knockback, and then swap to range and pummel them. In the case of tanky fighters, all you do is disengage and retreat, then rinse and repeat. Also, you can use Jayce's ghosting ability to just run through them and knock them towards your tower, you don't necessarily have to disengage.

His mana gate is mostly in his QE (which I believe scales up to around 130 mana per cast), which has not changed for a while. Hate me for this, But in competitive 50 Extra mana at LEVEL 18(late game) was miniscule. I don't think removing 50 extra mana per cast was suddenly OMG WE CAN SKIP MANAMUNE, I did that before the buff anyhow.
Except it allowed e maxed second to be a popular way to build. Against tanks, e is much more effective, as well as for short trades. Especially with the ratio buff, it meant Jayce had a lot of burst. Jump, proc passive, and knockback and run away with a gate to q without being stopped, courtesy of stronraiders, which became the favored mastery on Jayce for this very reason.

Let me explain why he's strong as a 3 year Jayce main: His scaling mana cost on his e was removed. That's it, pack it up boys we're done here. OK, but actually, let me explain. This buff was a wet dream, and though it doesn't seem massive, it was. Jayce since his conception has been gated by extremely intense mana costs, they still are quite high too, but the buff made them just low enough so that you can make it through laning phase without manamune. This meant a much more powerful early game, and a still powerful mid-game. And especially in competitive play, where games are short, this was perfect for Jayce.

I don't like the idea of him being dependent on one item, that's annoying as shit, I'd just rather them revert the ultimate buff they gave him.

Why the hell is everyone going crazy this soon? Keep in mind the dude was perfectly balanced (if not a bit weak) before the ratio buff to his ult and mana cost changes. I don't think gutting the rest of his kit is the best solution, just lower the ratio of his ult. Or better yet, wait to see how pre-season affects him.
