: No. Riot has stated that they don't want people to grind it out, it goes against the whole point of trying to play honorably
It feel's like more of a grind because of it.

I guess it depends on whether or not you see that as a big issue. For me it's probably the biggest issue that can happen with the honour system (considering everything I've said here up to now) hence why I'm against it.
Glad we could actually have a conversation but I guess we just have different views.

I went over that because if you're punished which will happen eventually if you're trolling then you wont just go down one level I am pretty sure you go to the dishonorable rank. Precisely, that's why the meter isn't needed. Because there is no need to know how much you need to behave to go to the next honour rank, as that information itself destroys the purpose of the system, or at the very least half of it.

I don't disagree with his sentiment. In fact, it's part of why I oppose the introduction of honour meters. Because meters gives the player how much they have to behave, so they can work out how much they can be toxic too. That's why if fake nice is better than toxic, imo you will oppose the honour meter, as without knowing how much one has to behave, it forces them to behave at their finest. You're probably talking about the scenario where "people get bored because of no progress so they troll", but then again, wouldn't this also happen if they know they're climbing too slow even with the meter in place? In other words, it falls onto Riot to design a reasonable climbing mechanism and other calculations within the system, and it really doesn't matter whether or not it is visible to the players in this scenario. And for the other arguments I've put out, I believe not having meters strongly outweighs the benefits of having one, and it also doesn't validate the purpose of the system.

I think those who're only trying because of the rewards don't really deserve the goodies reserved for honourable players in the first place. So if they want to call it quits purely because of the rewrads and stuff not coming so soon or something, that's kinda up to them. EDIT: As long as the progression and its interworking is actually fair, it really doesn't matter whether or not you can see the progression. And as explained before, I feel giving a meter does more detriment than it helps. But that's my view on this.
Im going to have to disagree with that I would rather have fake nice than toxic.

: If I were to guess why people are pushing for this, I would feel some of the supports are just backing it because they want to grind it out, and/or have the knowledge on how toxic they can be from time to time and remains clear from punishment. I do not think adding a meter will do any good at all. In fact, it will destroy the point of the system if you add a meter. This system really is just a carrot on a stick, let us be real. The point of having carrots on a stick is that the horse is chasing after the carrot, not knowing when it will fall into its mouth, so it will try its hardest to obtain it, no matter how many steps it will take. This is what Riot is aiming for, if you do not know how much you have to behave, it will encourage players to behave at their best all the time. If you give it a meter, it will form a routine. Now the horse will demand carrots based on how many steps they've taken on a fixed rate. This totally destroys the point of the system, because people are no longer forced to behave at their best, but how much they have to behave, and how much they can misbehave before facing consequences. Do you seriously think that is going to be a good idea, Riot? I do not think so. In fact, this system is just there to reward those who can at least behave like a decent human being, there is literally 0 drawback and only climbs if you don't troll every game. Do you believe those who ask for tangible and fast rewards, and planning grinding to get rewarded for something as simple as being decent, as well as using the meter to keep an eye on just how "good" they have to be, are deserving of those honour rewards in the first place? This new system really doesn't change anything from the past, mind you, as long as you don't get punished for being a prick anyway, so why are some of us so desperate to level and plan the grind for it? Some people will always use the reasoning that people are more likely to output if they know how much they need to, arguing for the existence of the honour meter. But here's the kicker, that only applies if the whatever system in question is a grind. Honour system is never meant to be a grind like IP to buy champs or something. That's why that reasoning is false. The premise of the system is that "you might get rewarded if you never get banned", it really is never meant to be a grind. And I also do think some of that percentage-ish algorithm from the previous Honour system is also used in the current one because I'm sure I heard or read that somewhere it was said that beyond raw numbers, rate is also used as part of the calculation or something, in order to prevent people just grind it out with the number of games played or that people can't get it because they don't play as much or something (which I hope is true). Do not just listen to the whim of some of us on the community, go through it and have a think about it yourself. ................ TL;DR Adding a meter destroys the point and the design of the system on various levels. So no.
You're right giving you a reason to behave all the time is a good system but how long do you think that's going to work before people get sick of getting nothing?

: Very true. Overall it's hard moving forward to know where you stand within the system as a player unless you've already gone through it once completely and you don't change what your doing at all. Which is completely unlikely. One suggestion I saw that I liked was having the honor icon on your profile grow brighter as you got closer to leveling up. It's a neat idea that would kind of mimic a XP bar but still give the player feedback. Like, "Good job man, keep it up!"
: Ship is a slang term for relationship. It's commonly used as a verb now. {{champion:154}} + {{champion:92}} {{champion:28}} + {{champion:4}} {{champion:222}} + {{champion:245}}

: It's way easier to handle threads like "can we see our honor progress" than a lot of threads like "bug, can't go up honor" "honor doesn't go up" "wtf i went down honor" "i don't deserve to lose honor" "rito pls fix honor" "rito can't handle honor" "just lost honor cause i was an asshole and i think it's unfair", or even funnier "I know I deserved to lose honor, but please don't do it" They may still add a progress bar at some point, but it's better if they don't
I'm sure those thread's would be ignored just like the "I didn't deserve this ban". or "F*** Riot".

: All you idiots saying its ok to flame only bring up the extreme cases where someone is actually intentionally feeding. Most of the time you are mia pinging mistakes and harassing people when they die without having the slightest understanding of what happened. You don't understand the game at all, you are the elo you deserve, if you are not happy with it then learn the game. Nobody is keeping you from your true elo. You could climb so much quicker if you focus on your own game, but instead you live in your own toxic world where you never ever see your own mistakes. Do you retards realise that the enemy team is significantly more likely to have a feeder on their team than your own, given that you are not a feeder? You should be celebrating feeders. You realise that means you lose more games if there are no feeders? Are you trying to lose games then? What exactly are you so angry about that you think you should flame? You are truly a special kind of stupid, please play another game.
There are intentional feeders in every elo and please quote where I said its fine to flame

: Make sure your team has a bunch of different trinkets. Typically blue on adc/mid, green on top/mid, red on sup/jungle. This doesn't always apply and if your team is bad and forgets to change then I'd reccomend picking up their slack and upgrading to whatever trinket is needed. Also look up some good warding guides. Good warding and vision denial is pretty objective so its an easier thing to learn and pick up. Overall try and be mindful of what you are doing. Make decisions and even minute movements (which side of the lane you are standing on for example) conscientiously and above all know WHY you are doing that. Read plenty of guides covering everything, how to freeze waves, zones of control, rotations, how to splitpush without getting caught etc. Slowly try and apply things you remember to your current game at hand until you can confidently say why you are farming the side lane, why you engaged, why you dove, why you decided to back now, why you went for that cs. Don't tilt. This may sound stupid and hard to do but tilt decides games in low elo. Tilting the enemy early practically guarantees a win and tilting yourself a loss. Its hard and you will tilt but again try and be mindful about it and recognize when it starts to impact your gameplay. Good luck
About the trinkets considering I havent touched ranked I get like the weirdest queues especially the people I duo with being super high elo like masters every once and a while but I go against super high but if there isnt a duo thats super high elo it can range from bronze to plat on who I play with but I still see noone but the support ever change their ward

: I think it's, "We won't try to be super obvious." There will be flirting here and there, but they won't primarily make sexuality a big factor in a character. If a character is gay, they won't exactly play it up like it's the only important thing about them.
: Why can't I choose my skin earlier?
They're working on this feature to be brought back they made a post about it but I cant find it or else I would of linked it
: How's your csing? CS is very important, especially when you end up in a lane where you can't kill your enemy laner. In lane, depending on the champ you're playing, it's perfectly okay to not win lane as long as you go even (similar score, keeping up in CS, keeping deaths down as much as possible). Even in bad matchups it's better to be behind in farm and play safe (freezing lane near your side, getting an early defensive component) than to snowball your enemy laner. To further get into laning, be careful with how hard you push. Unless you can 1v2 (most champs who can need post level 6 to do this), pushing hard into the enemy tower can be suicide. If, however you have good vision and know you can escape, pushing some champions into their tower can be a great idea. If people get toxic, you can either try to calm them down, or simply mute. Don't need to feel bad about muting if the player seriously deserves it. You'll get teams that can get way too heated in games, and you just have to shrug it off and keep playing. You will get some really cool players too though. So that helps balance it out. For ranked I like to have at least a duo partner, that way you'll have one player on the team you can trust and rely on. And finally don't get discouraged if you find yourself placed low. My first season I was placed Bronze 4. Every season after that I've climbed up to Plat. Virtually every new player starts low. Good luck in ranked!
Well my cs really varies but if its on an ad champion rather than a mage I usually would have somewhere around 80 cs around 10 minutes but I dont know if thats to good and I have searched up guides on wave management but I still have no idea on how to set up a freeze if you have any advice for that thanks for your tips!

: Don't be discouraged if it starts off rough. It's always a somewhat sobering experience when you first ranked, since people tend to think they're at least 'ok' even if they're not great, and then end up somewhere in bronze and get either frustrated with themselves and conclude they weren't ready, or more often frustrated with their teammates and don't actually improve. Ranked probably is the best place to improve your skills (not to learn champs, but more broadly improve), since people tend to play off-role in norms or unfamiliar champs, and in general not necessarily try as hard. Ranked by contrast people are usually all on their best champs and best roles and are keen to win, so it can be a rough transition. Keep at it though, and you'll climb up from wherever you might land at first, the key is to not get discouraged and always focus on looking for things you could have done differently.
: always ban yasuo,,,,,, Why you ask? - Yasuo's on your team sucks cock - Yasuo's on enemy teams gets penta kills
I dont wanna get into a debate but I think Yasuo's fine just really oppressive but I think his W is the only issue he has and I think that might need a mini-rework
: Pick two roles and try to stick to them. Be able to play at least 2 champs in EVERY role at a decent level incase of autofill. Play with a small champion pool and get good with them. Trinket depends on the game. If the enemy team has traps or invisible champs then get a sweeper. Adc's and mages are best with a blue orb so they dont have to face-check bushes. Assassins are best with a sweeper so you can clear any enemy vision on your way to gank. That way they dont see you coming. When it comes to map awareness, its huge. You HAVE to know whats going on around the map, so you know how to react to it. Ranked is a whole different ball game. You'll learn what i mean pretty quick off the bat. DO NOT die 3+ times during laning phase. There is absolutely no excuse for that. If you die once or twice then play safe and farm under tower to gain xp. Ppl have really tough time understanding that concept. Playing safe is something very few ppl understand. If you can grasp how to do it and when you need to, you have a leg up on everyone.
