: Teamfight Tactics patch 9.19 notes
"We’ve removed RFC's ability to ignore dodges, so now it only exists on Wild." Oh good, I can't wait to get annihilated by an uncontestable Gnar and tier 3 Veigar. An army comprised of arguably some of the most powerful units in TFT. So, do Yordles still dodge when frozen?
: So please explain why he wiped me off the earth?
Oy Elin, ya might wanna keep to one large thread rather a bunch of small ones because this is starting to come off as spam.
: Who are generally stronger; melee or ranged?
Technically both because Draven.
: Now it seems like every game is won by some form of ShapeShifter.
A wall of brawlers and a Yasuo. Nothing but knockups everywhere, ugh.
Rioter Comments
: Is there any reason to place items on Vayne or Lucian instead of Kayle?
I sometimes hold items on non-noble units like Varus or Tristana FOR Ashe or Draven. But never for Kayle because of how ridiculously rare and she is. Ashe and Draven are better choices for perma-stun and near-instant kills respectively. Plus, you can freeze invulnerable units with Ashe. Varus is bad because his kit would have him stop his basic attack to use his special in a game where seconds matter.

: Windowed Mode
Play game: 1. Press Esc to open options. 2. Go to Video tab. 3. Change window mode to windowed. 4. Press F9 to unlock mouse from game window. It will appear as a red frame around the game area. Mouse will now freely move in and out of game window without tabbing. Caution: If you have been clicking on anything outside the game, before you click on champs or icons in the game, click on something benign like the ground or background. Immediately clicking on an object in the game can void the click. IE: click the Refresh button only puts it in the "pressed down" state but doesn't actually refresh the champ roster.
: NotHinG CouNTerZ NoBelZ
Not enough information. What was the positioning of the opponent and your champs? What items did they and yourself have? It's not enough to be JUST the Origin or Class.

: Hextech Too Strong. Will Be Broken for 4 Weeks.
You basically have to configure yourself to something like this: https://i.imgur.com/PGAQK0R.jpg Keeping item'd units one hex away from each other while at the same time keep your preferred unit in relatively safe positions. I am not being an advocate for Riot trying to get you to move your units around. But, you are not really suppose to bunch up your units to begin with with champs like Gnar, Chogath, and Sejauni etc,. running opposite to your team. Hex is just the champion equivalent of forcing you not to bunch up your units with items. If anything at all, it is the ridiculous 8 seconds of disability that makes it aggravating. Maybe 4 seconds but definitely not f'ing 8! Especially, when some of those items, like Zephyr, auto-lose their initial effect.

Comicman (EUW)
: No counterplay strategy?
Strategy only really works like 5% maybe 10% of the time because you are at the mercy of RNG. The game could be decided simply because the game refuses to let you get tier 2 on a level 1 champion you need. And now all of a sudden it is super easy to get demons, gunslingers, Chogath, or sorc, but getting noble or glacial is torture. Arguably, these last two could probably destroy a Chogath build if done right.

: Shyvana is way too OP
There's a lot of if's to all these "OP" champions: "If item'd Shyvana shapeshifts..." "If Swain/item'd Swain transforms..." "If item'd Katarina gets her Death Lotus off..." "If item'd Tier 2 Kayle stays alive..." "If item'd Tier 3 Veigar stays alive..." "If item'd Tier 2 Aatrox stays alive..." "If item'd Tier 2 Pyke stays alive..." "If item'd Draven sta.......there is only death"

Either adapt or find a different game, kid. Nope, It is unnecessary frustration and removes a chunk of tactical play based entirely on too much RNG. If more of you actually complained about it rather than sucking up to them, it could have been fixed. It is in no way fun to be behind and just barely defeat monsters only to get gold for your troubles.

K, that's nice...sure. So, are you guys going to get around to having items-only drops when killing minions and beasts? Or is that going to stay shoved in our faces as needless frustration till the end of time?

You generally have 6 rounds in a stage. Look: https://i.imgur.com/v4QyORY.png It is just a matter of gold management and letting your bank reach around 40 or 50 gold stored. : Remove (or change) Cursed Blade from the game.
No, it is fine as it is. A necessary equalizer especially if the RNG is being particularly unreasonable where you have a tier 2's with some tier 1's vs someone with has 2 or 3 tier 3's in their line up. If you complain out this, you would have to argue against the Rapid Firecannon because it counters the Yordle Origin perk and Shen's special ability for dodging. Add in Redemption and Zephyr, they are arguably the most strategic items in TFT.

Would have moved Trist over to the left one hex, and sacrificed Veigar to Blitz by putting him where Trist use to be instead. Though not sure about the outcome as I imagine you having way more units with stuns would still win.

: When there are an odd number of players left, one player's team is "duplicated", and sent against the "odd" player, so it's basically just like any "true PvP" round, the only difference being that you can damage the health of the duplicated team's "leader", since it technically doesn't exist.
> [{quoted}](name=HeartVine,realm=OCE,application-id=RaE1aOE7,discussion-id=BYV9RBOK,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2019-07-14T10:01:43.109+0000) > > When there are an odd number of players left, one player's team is "duplicated", and sent against the "odd" player, so it's basically just like any "true PvP" round, the only difference being that you can damage the health of the duplicated team's "leader", since it technically doesn't exist. That just raises more questions about the legitimacy of a win against the clone and whether or not it counts against the actually defeated player. Would it not make more sense to make the odd wait like any other ladder match? This seems off, understandably we are still in "beta".
: Team Fight Tactics Actually turn to pay-to-win?
No. You need to understand one thing right now and that is Riot as a company internally has issues. But they stay internal and generally don't bleed onto the game modes. I say this because the idea of making a pay-to-win mechanic in League of any aspect would be like opening another battlefront with multiple countries while in the middle of a civil war. It would completely undermine the years of relative trust the company has gained with the playerbase when it comes to the micro-transaction economy. So no, there is no pay-to-win. You are probably lagging and the game is playing catch-up or you're staying too hard at the avatars and is making you delusional.

: Unable to pick a champion at the beginning of the game
I agree that this is an issue. But it should be noted that there IS a waiting period after you spawn in when you can't touch the champions. If you try to walk through one you end up hitting an invisible wall for a few seconds. Obviously those few seconds aren't enough time for everyone to spawn in.
IAmWoralo (EUW)
: Round 2-2 3 full built items?
Sometimes the first 3 minion spawns will spit out 1 or 2 items per spawn. Or nothing at all because that make sense, right? Sometimes players won't necessarily hold on to them on the sideline and just throw them onto the champs they have on the field to get that moderate advantage over someone who has 1 item or none at all. You could end up fighting someone in the first PVP round with 1 to 3 full items. This move is similar to people rushing their levels to get 4 champs before the first PVP fight or 5 for the second, usually two of the same champ. The difference between these two things is that one is completely RNG and unfair while the other is arguably nothing more than a tactical decision.
: But pinging give an unfair advantage. If everyone is not paying attention yall should not be able to gang up on one person. This isn't a team game.

If everyone is not paying attention yall should not be able to gang up on one person. This isn't a team game. How does one "gang up" on one person in a completely RNG-based game? The champs are random. The carousel first pick and sequence is random, the items are random. The player match ups are random. The item spawn from beast minions are random. No one is beholden to you. If they want the item and/or champ from carousel, they will do so. Body blocking doesn't really work if the enemy teams think you are going for the obvious, especially when the items are random. If you don't like the pings then /mute all.
zepdrix (NA)
: Is Elise sleeper OP?
She's an extra body with more bodies to increase distraction on the board. More so if you can get the shapeshifter perk going. I wouldn't throw more than one item on her.
: Elementalist is bullshit
Honestly, Anivia is annoying to get. I don't understand why Brand comes out so much more compared to the bird. The plight of the "Herald of Frozen Death" build is that it is completely LATE game with HIGH cost in both gold and enduring losses. It takes a long time to get units and even longer to tier them if you ever the chance. https://i.imgur.com/58a9Cw9.jpg I have had my share a losses by simply not having enough health by the time I get anything going. Its pretty painful at the beginning. I have been completely annihilated by wild/brawler(the f'ing knockups), assassin/blademaster (everyone body one/two-shots all your units), noble/blademaster (healing circus), or noble/sorcery combos since forever. Especially when they get Yasuo, Aurelion, and/or Karthus (ffs). By no means is "Herald of Frozen Death" unstoppable when it is incomplete, outnumbered, and/or undertiered. https://i.imgur.com/iGT6HVB.jpg But, boy does it feel good giving everyone the middle finger when it works. And no, Lissandra is not useless. She is especially useful for freezing the enemy backline which is always hilarious. Even better when she pulls assassin leaps then freezing herself with AOE damage, and buying time for the rangers to finish killing whatever they are shooting then turn around and kill the assassin. She is not suppose to be Veigar or Morgana with ice.

: Correct. That was the intention. The team that is winning should win unless the losing team gets their crap together and starts working together. They shouldn't be able to drag a lost game out for ten extra minutes. The new turrets are tankier. If you're going to let somebody chew away at the tower for all that gold without attacking them back, then you deserve to lose your lane. They either killed you/forced you to back (i.e., outplayed you), or you stood around doing nothing while they took that free gold. The turret changes were designed to stop an **early** snowball, not all snowballs. The ball doesn't start rolling until 14 minutes because it's more profitable to stay in lane even if you get ahead. Before, people would get a lead, kill their laner, and look to roam for more kills or objectives, accelerating the match into the midgame before the losing team could get enough gold to really contest anything. These changes give the losing team the opportunity to farm for 14 minutes so they'll at least have an item or two to bring to the midgame.

These changes give the losing team the opportunity to farm for 14 minutes so they'll at least have an item or two to bring to the midgame. They are not tankier and they do not stop snowballs or 3 to 4 guys focusing down a single turret early game. It is almost laughable to think they were any more durable than the previous iterations. If anything they are less durable especially with the meta around some ranged champions like Jhin and Cait who will hard peck at them regardless of minions or general turret fire distraction. I personally thought the **~~ARMOR~~** was supposed to be a second skin that gave gold per 1000 health notch before you could take down its actual health. You know because when you read **_"(Plates don't have health of their own.)"_**, you tend to think they are meant to keep the main health of the turret untouched until destroyed. Apparently, Riot games thinks a hand held shield/bullet proof vest/plate is actually representative of your body so if it gets destroyed so does your life. Armor either mitigates/minimizes damage or completely absorbs damage, but in this case it does neither and appears to be the actual health pool of the turret. Yes, I know it is not supposed to change the dynamics of the game and yet still reward aggressive play (which is a dynamic)...but there is no noticeable difference between this turret, previous turrets, and the behavior of players who bully. Apart from getting gold now. The armor is pointless, you could have just made a patch that awards gold per 1000 health damage on turrets before the 14 minute mark and completely drop this "Armor" garbage.

: Will be giving some time for things to settle since it's likely that at the very least, people are just trying all the new/changed items out, so their purchase rates will be high even if they aren't optimal. That isn't to say GA necessarily is or isn't too powerful at the moment, but rather how we'll be evaluating it. If we had to make GA less efficient or less attractive after that initial evaluation, that seems reasonable. It's supposed to be an item with tradeoffs.

Meh. Master Yi don't need no boots. Teemo don't need no boots. Zilean don't need no boots. Figured this out years ago. I am happy. But yeah, the whole boots thing shouldn't be a main item. The concept has never made sense, 11 champions float off the ground all game, Cass has no feet, etc etc. There should be an 8th slot, but not for boots. Get rid of boots altogether and let us by something akin to a movement trinket. Of course it opens up the 6th slot to add more damage or defense, but that should be up to the player.
