: Yuumi is obscenely unfun to play against
This surprises you? Quite a few of the new champions and reworks have resulted in champions that are decidedly unfun - for reasons that are beyond me, Riot has decided to focus on making champions that are either fun to play or fun to look at - but they have largely forgotten the other side of the equation - they need to be fun to play WITH or play AGAINST. And this is especially serious given how snowballing and the stupid bounty system are currently in the game.

For me, the past 2 months in normals have been consistently random pugs versus 4-5 man premades. It's been ridiculous. Yes we get the message per Riot's meme: "League is more fun with friends." But for heaven's sake, also get the message that a large amount of your playerbase just want to play the game alone. (We get sick of the kid screaming at their sister to get out of the room. We are tired of the pothead who belches regularly into his mike." Stop trying to tilt the game so heavily in favour of the groups. PLEASE.

To be fair to the original poster, the placement of some of the runes does seem a bit arbitrary. For example, we still don't have a tree/path really for supports (and btw, Resolve - Guardian-Font-Revitalize barely counts - and is pretty "meh" for utility-based ward mules).

From what I have seen, the algorithm does a balancing act - it is based upon: the relative skill of the opponents, who is on at the time, how many are present in queue; and/or how long the people have been waiting. And because Riot wants people to queue up with friends, you tend to see this in normals: 1. Solos wait longer. 2. Duos wait a little less. 3. Larger groups get priority and shorter wait times. (Remember Riot's policy that: "League is more fun with friends"?) The consequence: if you have a lot of solos waiting and a big group queues at that point, the solos/duos are more likely to get slotted in against the big premade. And stomping ensues. Not exactly a good situation for avoiding toxicity and ensuring that players get the best introduction to the game before they start ranked.

This mission kills me - it literally took me two weeks to do - and that was with a marathon session on one weekend. There are no missions in this Event for supports - I've done them all on one account. And this was the stupidest, most bone-headed mission out there. Yes, there is way too much damage in the game. Especially with this stupidity of extending the nonsense from season 8 into this current season. But that is no reason to put a mission like this into the game.

Finally, if tanks can't withstand the bruisers or assassins because these smaller champs already have tankbusting stuff in their kits - the tanks as a class are ruined. Riot put the game's ecosystem in the 'crapper" for the past season. And it doesn't look like they have learned from last season's mess yet.

Long story short - Riot decided to increase the amount of damage in the game to make the streaming content-creating toplaners happy (oddly enough Hashinshin is still not content but that's another story). As a result, we have had tons of percent damage, true damage, and lethality the past few seasons. And tanks disappear from everywhere except botlane - where they are actually "lame duck" tanks heading into the endgame - because it is the only way to safely facecheck a bush (for a short period of time in the game) until they get grossly outscaled. How strange.

Enjoy what you've got. Junglers are still in great shape.

: Question about Minimap Targeting Change
I don't understand why they removed it either - I used it and had no problems with it. There was no real reason to remove it. Also, on top of this, since they removed the minimap targetting, I have been encountering a bug where I cannot click/ping the spawning times of the drakes, baron or buffs. The "fix" was unneeded.

I've never been able to counter jungle the way I am right now with him with surgical in - out camp stealing. It means they basically are the same complaint you have about support ones: They don't know how to do their job. Last point: Pyke was NERFED before release. Not buffed. His R was reduced from 140% AD scaling to 60%. Nothing else was really changed, other than a slight 3 AD base AD change. They also fixed his HP scaling with Overgrowth/Resolve/Warmog's/Cinderhulk, so he can no longer get 3050 HP. Personally, I think Pyke is in a solid place as a jungler. I've already mostly learned his kit for Diamond II Jungling. I think he's weak as a support, and okay as a mid/top.... vs situational champions. He feels better to play than {{champion:28}} and counters most meta pick junglers (So far I've dominated {{champion:5}} {{champion:154}} {{champion:254}} {{champion:48}} {{champion:107}} {{champion:56}} My only challenge is..... when I gank and ambush, I don't get enough of the kills. I do most of the damage, but while I'm casting my R, some teammate of mine is killing my target off. They don't know to back off and let me have it. So I'm getting scores like 7/2/13 instead of 13/2/7. I didn't even get to PBE him.... and he seems super easy to pick up.... Maybe its because I used to play {{champion:76}} , and currently play {{champion:516}} Learning to manipulate the walls/dashes is pretty much already there in my hands. I've just never been a Darius.

I beg to differ - he's a support assassin. We are starting to see him played outside the support position (what a surprise, eh?) with not too much difficulty. He's going to be yet another champion designed as support that us support mains are going to lose to another position. (If the intent was to create a second Thresh, I think the devs failed - due to the CC being too weak and the damage to monsters and minions being too great.)

The 40% winrate is akin to the Lee Sin effect - remember when Lee Sin was released. Same story. And now, when the meta suits him, he can have a 55% winrate (in skilled hands). Pyke's playstyle though is clunky and awkward - that Q hook for example. But I think he'll be closer to 52% after the actual support mains get their hands on him (and he gets a few support items suited to him). Further, and right now, there are a lot of non-support players (and junglers) playing him in ranked play - and sadly that is even up to Platinum tier. Of course, with this sort of thing happening, his winrate will be majorly skewed.

While I'll agree that there have been a few bad errors by Riot in the past, I will also point out that they are doing their best to keep a game interesting. Heck, they put all their eggs in one basket when they said they were going to focus on the Rift. It's hard to keep things new, novel and interesting when one game mode, which is starting to show signs of age, is their flagship. And to their credit, they have done that. There will NEVER be perfect balance in the game. Some imbalance must exist and it must shift from time to time to sustain player interest.

They waited this long with revealing cause they wanted people to settle down after outage on bot lane being the only lane that has an impact so they can release a champion that makes bot lane even stronger.

I think he is well designed, but I think the lower tier oneshot types (to paraphrase you) will be disappointed. Witness for example the fiasco after the attempts at "Full AP" Rakan was tried over the past few weeks. Pyke will require some time to master. Further, after the post-hype rebalancing takes place, the one-shotters will find that he works better as a cc-er (until his ult is up). The stealth is wonderful for deepwarding and assisting the jungler. The CC and hook are not bad. After the tweaking is done, I see him as a combination of Thresh and Rakan. Thrakan maybe? (Btw, it wouldn't surprise me if the hitbox for the hook is widened a bit in the near future.) Also, let's remember that the meta for a long time has been built around finding a way to get your adc out of lane phase and into a power position in team fights. If you don't want a "broken" adc on the other side, then take care of him early on - or get the other lanes far ahead of botlane and take that nexus.

FYI, if you read the past few bits of news about changes to the Rift, ADCs are already losing power. Rito has been listening to the demands of some of the lower tier players in solo/duo ranked and how they want to have melee ADCs. Further, they have been listening to the streamers, smurfers and boosters who want to be able to solo carry. As a result, the whole idea of building comps around getting the ADC safely into mid/late game with peels, disengages and blocks will be much rarer in the near future.

Agreeing with you there about the bad clear - but then there are some champs out presently which have bad clear (e.g., Kindred). : The problem I have with Pyke as a Support main
I don't see him as feast or famine - yet. His skills list suggest that he could be still useful as a cc'er and/or tank when he falls behind. (Yup, potentially he could be an assassin that is still useful if he dies a few times.) But I do see him as a champ that will get poached for other lanes and eventually will migrate into top, jungle or mid. [Think of how the support role lost Gangplank, Syndra, Heimerdinger and Rumble. Yes, they were all designed with support role in mind -primarily or secondarily - lest we forget.]

Not sure about Lulu, Lux and Janna needing updates. Lux is way overgeared atm. And, Lulu and Jana? Well they are suffering from Karma-itis - because "how dare you shield the adc and stop me getting ez killz? Shield supprots is too stronk."

Don't speak too soon. I'm waiting for him to be hijacked by another laning group. Remember how Rumble, designed as a poke support, suddenly found himself on top lane and the jungle. I'm expecting something similar to happen to Pyke - he'll eventually evolve into "yet another assassin" - probably ending up in the jungle (as Youmuus' Youtube stream today seemed to suggest). And us support mains won't even get a chance to play him in about a year or two. Please let him stay as a support.
