Hello! I was wondering why you reworked Azir to the way he is on PBE? His W no has 40% AP scaling, meaning 3 soldiers now does 60% AP which is what it used to be. HIs early game is getting nerfed too by the soldier base dmg scaling with W skill instead of level. I thought you wanted to make Azir better in solo queue, but this change list currently on PBE is gonna make him unplayable in both solo queue and pro play...

Additionally on the Azir change. Azir's wave clear is not even that good compared to a lot of other mid laners, but if his wave clear the primary concern, then just make his soldier do less dmg to minions, instead of making an aoe dmg mage into a single target mage.

I enjoy playing a lot of champions but I do play Azir the most. From the end of season 7 to today, Azir has received nothing but nerfs. His win rate dropped from 52% to like 45%, but since the pros keep picking him he keeps getting nerfed. At this point, I think the pre reworked Azir is actually a lot better then he is now.we all know the mini rework didn't solve the problem, Azir still has mobility and consistent dmg and self-peel. However, instead of addressing the problems, his AOE dmg, which is Azir's core playstyle, is being nerfed to single target?? What's the point of picking Azir compare to Cassiopeia, who has higher single target DPS and sustain? If you are reworking Azir again, please don't hurt his AOE, do something like the Ryze reworks you are doing on PBE, which still retained Ryze's play style. Thanks!

Sorry one more question. Is the Azir nerf final for patch 8.5? Honestly this nerf might push Azir to the unplayable state he was before. After his W base damage nerf his mid game is a lot weaker than most other mages, the Q nerf on PBE is taking away the little damage he has during mid game.

Hey, Meddler! What are the planned nerfes to Azir and Ryze? They have already been nerfed so many times and have the lowest win rate in solo queue. Instead if nerfing them, why not buff some other champions, so that pros will have more variety in their picks? Buffing champions like Syndra and Viktor who does pretty well against Ryze and Azir should be better for the meta.

Nope, I've been asking about Azir for several of Meddler's post now. No answers. The balance team doesn't really care about what we have to say. Competitiveplay ruins the game. I used to main Ryze, but they nerfed him to an unplayable state. Now pros are playing Ryze again, and then they nerf his R-Zhongya play. The same with Azir nerfs just keep coming.
: Here are my thoughts as an Azir and Viktor player. **Azir** The Azir nerf is too harsh. He already has a 47,5% winrate in platinum+ soloq. This change will completely ruin his waveclear, make his poke weaker early, and reduce his teamfight effectiveness all at once. This will easily reduce his winrate to 45% or even lower - bringing him back to pre-rework state unless you abuse Nunu synergy... By nerfing his AOE you are forcing him into a single target DPS role, and ruining the reward for hitting multiple people which is easy for the enemy to counterplay. After hitting a good R, which should be rewarding, you will have much lower followup damage too. With this kind of nerf you are ruining him for soloq. **Viktor** I'm pretty dissappointed with the Viktor buff. You are fixing none of his main problems - hexcore cost, delay on abilities and lack of range. First off facetanking damage is not what you want to do as VIktor. When playing a fight well, you kite around and dodge skillshots with the Q movespeed. You combo the frontline, or go for oneshotting one or more backliner. The Q shield would be most useful in lane while trading, but with the 2250 gold required to obtain it you've already got to a point where there isn't much trading midlane. The ult cooldown will be barely noticeable since you already go a CDR build, and don't rely on ult for picks like many other midlaners. Remember that you've made a lot of indirect nerfs to Viktor: Gutting Rylais, nerfing Ghost, and changing runes so he now has no good keystone. Viktor has been completely missing in all tier lists for a long time now. I'm going to test various builds to see if I can make him viable with the buffs, but I honestly doubt he'll be any good with the current changelist. Even though AzuBK has been communicating with us Viktor players [over at the subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/viktormains/comments/7tapk2/viktor_buff_discussion_megathread/), I feel like you are listening to nothing of what we say.
I completely agree. Taking away Azir's AOE is just gonna ruin him as a champion. Too bad the balance team is focused on competitive play, instead of us gamers and consumers.

I feel the same. As an Azir main, I think the W nerf is too impactful. His waveclear is already weaker than prerework, plus there are tons of champion that can waveclear faster than Azir.

Hello, Meddler! I have a general question about champion balance. Are the balance changes based mainly on competitive play? It just seems that champions like Ryze, Azir etc who are favored by pro players received many rounds of nerf although their solo queue win rate has been the lowest since season 7. Malzahar had almost 55% win rate for many patches but only got nerfed when pros picked him up. Why would champion balance heavily focus on pro play but the majority of the players are just normal gamers that play ranked or normal games?

I think targeted spell minion aggro will hurt Vlad a lot :( however it’s not even the worst case, since Vlad do get sustain from using Q on the enemy laner, others like Viktor, Kasaadin, Cassio or Ryze is gonna be even worth then they are now.lol
