I think this meta is all about adapting..... and abusing jax (lol) There are a lot of strong strategies right now. Split pushing, high damage bruisers in the right case can fucking destroy a whole team, I've been playing a lot of darius. demolish and bone plating for situational. I'm still figuring it all out but I think if you can bully, take demolish, if you need more dmg mitigation take stoneplating. Like if you're against pantheon or something.

Interesting idea. I'm not a balance team, but I'm sure they could balance it. Would that be fun? Sitting under tower? Would it be safe to increase tower's attack speed making it harder to last hit yes, but also making it impossible to take the tower without a huge slow push. Increasing range? they have been like that for I would assume years. they might even have to change the map if they increase turret range. turret damage? I mean ok feel safer, but your enemy laner is still just gonna freeze lane and make you overextend. Interesting? yes. Amazing? idunno man I don't care either way

Then you will not be successful. You can still capitalize and be a good person. Capitalism isn't bad at it's core, people just get power hungry, and that's what makes it bad. Abusers make the game unbalanced, in the real world and in League. You can choose to either abuse the system, or have fun, or both. But you can't break the law irl: stealing, fixing the market, etc You can't break the law in the game: being toxic, cheating, etc But you can always capitalize on your situation to make your life better. Sometimes it will be hard, and sometimes it will be much easier for you. That is life.

One word for you. Capitalism. A few more for you Capitalize on the system Stop complaining If you have feedback that's fine but complaining will just hurt you, and spread a little to others around you
: Complaining is overwhelming the forums (stop)
People are way too salty lmao. The game is fine. The majority of people blame their situation on others, the minority is actually successful people. There will always be imbalance in the real world and in the game. You either let it take advantage of you, or you take advantage of it. It's called capitalism, and it may not always be right but it's the only way to survive for normal people. Take advantage of anything you can.

Sucks that happened over a blind pick game, but you probably would be better off just messing around in your base than inting, if there is really 2 afk and a feeding yasuo, and you're behind from the beginning.. Yes there is almost no way in hell you will win that. But remember that your actions make who you are. You were probably pissed off so you shouldn't give into that kinda behavior out of pure principle. You are better than that. Give yourself a break, and best of luck to you when you return. Mute all. And do not actively perform negative actions no matter what.

I'm not high elo, but I've played over 3000 hours of league. Firstly you're gonna want to pick something more meta for yourself. I would suggest kindred, graves, xerath, malzahar, yorick, or darius. If you are botlane you're gonna wanna go with jhin or varus. The most important thing to remember is sometimes it feels like there's nothing we can do, so keep your mood right, keep your head straight, give yourself time off, take a breath, and try again later. From a technical perspective the most important thing in this meta is to never die when you're ahead. You can give up anywhere between 850, to 1000 gold or more if you die with a bounty. That is what I believe anyways. Make sure you're warding rift herald, focus objectives, and excercise restraint when you're pushing a lane. Never put yourself in a position where you can die for free no matter WHAT. If you don't die your team will respect you a lot more for it, and you will still be strong enough to contest your nexus in low elo. Also you want to carry in low elo, not play a supportive role like going with a straight tank. That's why I like bruisers, which ironically, this meta supports rather well.
: I got banned for joking around with a player that I knew.
It seems to me like you're making excuses....... if that's the case.. don't. That's not the way to go. It's very important to accept responsibility for our actions no matter what the circumstances.
: I got banned for joking around with a player that I knew.
It's not that bad. Take some time off and make a sincere appeal. What's important is that you really try your best to improve as a player and as a person. I understand your frustrations better than anyone. But I am here to help. You won't find many people on your side here.. With that being said it's important to show compassion to people who are different from ourselves. That doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and expect to get away with it, this is toxic behavior.. however, I believe in you. What level of punishment did you receive?

Old players are already allowed to come back on new accounts, and Riot has stated several times that they have no intention of letting players recover banned accounts, as their data has shown that it those policies only increase toxicity, and that the lost revenue is a price they're more than happy to pay. Bluntly, Riot isn't interested, and sometimes there isn't a second change. I couldn't support a policy like this unless it could be demonstrated that the policy would *statistically lead to a better community for players who have NOT been punished*, and everything we've heard from Riot indicates that the opposite was true. You were not banned from ever playing *League* again -- you merely lost an account and its contents and the penalty for your behavior. You're welcome to make a new account and try again, but sometimes there IS a cost that you can't get back -- since the jail metaphor is frequently used, you may be let out of jail, yes -- but you don't get an extra 5 years added to your life just because you had 5 years in jail. The cost remains paid.
you merely lost an account and its contents and the penalty for your behavior. Merely
: >I believe the jump from 14 day ban, (2 weeks) to a perma ban is way too drastic. I understand you feel this way, but Riot has done a lot of experiments, and have found two things (after several years and a lot of data): * More bans did not meaningfully increase reform, but DID increase occurrences of toxicity the community had to put up with. * Only a *very* small percentage of permanently banned players reform if given a second chance. While this is not to say there aren't some who *could*, Riot needs a policy that will work for tens of thousands of players -- not one that is individually tailored to specific individuals, especially when those individuals have already violated the rules several times. I know that sounds harsh, but it's the reality of a community this large.

You make a perfectly valid point, however I must disagree with you. As time goes on and as the game evolves, so does the community. This is no longer the same game, nor is it the same company. Therefor it stands to reason that riot may benefit from reevaluating it's standing on this policy. I believe if executed properly, they could see a huge influx of old players, and new revenue. Of course they will always be strict and rightly so. But change.. is good {{champion:121}}

It's frustrating to hear this. Idk what I was expecting, maybe a little compassion? idk. This happened 6 months ago. I have had plenty of time to reflect, and all this time it's burned me. You have no idea what it feels like bro.. To fuck up this bad.
: > I believe the jump from 14 day ban, (2 weeks) to a perma ban is way too drastic. > > Perhaps a probationary period.. after 6 month ban. Here's the thing: Six months is too long of a period for effective punishment. By the time _three_ months have passed, the punished party will likely have forgotten the offense that resulted in the punishment in the first place. If they don't leave outright, they may just start up a new account and forget the old one - and at that point, you may as well just issue a permanent suspension and achieve the same effect. You can say that the jump from 14-day ban to permanent is drastic...But don't you think getting to the 14-day ban in the first place seems pretty drastic? In most normal cases, you'd have to break the rules at least twice, ignoring a 10-game and a 25-game chat restriction. If you get to the 14-day ban - which is severe enough as is - and _still_ don't get the picture... Well, how many chances do you really need? If three chances aren't enough, with increasingly severe punishments, then what are the odds you'll get the picture and start reforming after a fourth punishment? > Perhaps link a new account to your old one and allow them to reach a certain level without toxic behaviors or reports for a chance to regain control of their old account. When Riot permanently bans an account, they've given up on the expectation of the player reforming, and consequently, want that player to leave. They do not want that person playing on that account again - let alone playing League of Legends in general. Giving players an opportunity to get a permanently banned account again would be welcoming back toxic players, which is not something Riot is going to humor in the near or far future. > It is devastating to lose your account. It's almost discriminatory.. almost. If you're going to say that getting your account permanently banned due to consistent and belligerent misbehavior is "almost discriminatory", then you can't really say that the discussion you're trying to hold is mature. Claiming "discrimination" instead of actually accepting that you broke the rules is not mature. > Many people have mental illnesses and are poor, or sad, or hungry. I have yet to see someone with a mental illness that risks their account's longevity due to misbehavior. Granted, there is likely someone out there that fits such a description, but - I've yet to see them. As for poor, sad, and hungry...None of those are remotely valid excuses for misbehavior. > They mouth off one too many times and boom. 3 years of work gone. You'd have to mouth off quite a lot of times to actually get to the 14-day ban. And, again; if you don't get the message by _that_ point, by the point when Riot is _literally forcing you to not play their game for a while because your behavior is **that** bad_, you're clearly not going to reform any time soon. > We HAVE to find another way to help people reform. Let's start with the people who need to reform actually making the effort to do so, instead of trying to find cheap solutions to get banned accounts back. > Even real criminals get parole sometimes, and noone likes criminals. The metaphorical parole, in this case, is the periods after your chat restriction/suspension are over. You've served your sentence (10-game chat restriction, 25-game chat restriction, 14-day suspension), and you're let out to prove that you can do better and abide by the rules. If you don't, you get the next punishment tier. If your last punishment happened to be a 14-day ban, that's it. You're done. The next step after that is a permanent ban.

> > When Riot permanently bans an account, they've given up on the expectation of the player reforming, and consequently, want that player to leave. They do not want that person playing on that account again - let alone playing League of Legends in general. > > Giving players an opportunity to get a permanently banned account again would be welcoming back toxic players, which is not something Riot is going to humor in the near or far future. > > If you're going to say that getting your account permanently banned due to consistent and belligerent misbehavior is "almost discriminatory", then you can't really say that the discussion you're trying to hold is mature. > > Claiming "discrimination" instead of actually accepting that you broke the rules is not mature. > > I have yet to see someone with a mental illness that risks their account's longevity due to misbehavior. Granted, there is likely someone out there that fits such a description, but - I've yet to see them. > > As for poor, sad, and hungry...None of those are remotely valid excuses for misbehavior. > > Let's start with the people who need to reform actually making the effort to do so, instead of trying to find cheap solutions to get banned accounts back. > > The metaphorical parole, in this case, is the periods after your chat restriction/suspension are over. You're done. The next step after that is a permanent ban. I am a real person with real feelings. And I love riot. I love my account. I love this game. And I DO want to change. I tried many times. I wanted to climb, I wanted to be a good player. But I failed and that hurts enough on its own. I disagree with you this IS a mature discussion and I am simply stating how I feel. That is the way of the world. It is impossible to see things from my perspective, because you aren't me. You haven't seen what i've seen or felt my pain. My first ranked game? i was told to kill myself by a gold player, then I was placed in bronze and never climbed out. I was always bitter. Always raged at for being bad. I had no friends to guide me or teach me. Everything I learned was on my own. There is A LOT more to this then what you're making it out to be. Irl, I lost my dad when I was 9, i was bullied in school, I grew up poor and I got locked up when I was 13 I have had a lot of shit go down, and this is just the icing on the cake. So please, if you are going to stay, change your attitude. Yes.. I have done wrong. I have admitted that freely, but I still have to keep trying. This game means everything to me. I want to be a part of a community, and I don't wanna see my dreams shattered right in front of me.. by my own hand. (also i removed the discriminatory part long before you ever commented)

: Getting permabanned is not an instantaneous thing, you get warnings along the way, that you behavior needs to change. You have to be consistently toxic to even get a 14 day ban, excluding the zero tolerance policy. A simple chat restriction is a warning too. So in that sense you have 3 chances until you get permabanned, it seems reasonable to me.

I believe that if riot shows real love to real people they can change. No need to go balls deep but perhaps.. we can think of something. I feel good talking about this. I NEED to reach out to riot.. because I.. was banned. And it has been hard. I am a hard headed fool I tell you. But I am a real person with real feelings. It's always so easy to forget about the .06 percent. But we are real, and we CAN change. I always felt a connection with riot. I love them, and I need them to work with us. We are crying out PLEASE riot. Work with us.
: mature discussion regarding player reform and permanent suspension
Riot is an INCREDIBLE company. I love this game because it is for everybody. Rich, poor, good computer or bad. Black, white, asian, gay or straight. We need healing in the community. I believe there is potential in this idea.

: Many processes?
I also experienced a huge drop in performance. legacy client I end windows explorer and all unnecessary tasks to achieve 70 fps which is better than 20 lol. I just experienced a game where I was at 11 fps at five minutes in the game and d/c trying to fix it because I didn't know what I could close or not without exiting the game. Is there any way I could prevent this from affecting my gameplay?
: Practice with purpose
