Maybe not grown ups but definitely kids or teenagers. If you think this doesn't exist you are most definitely wrong. I will not say that it does not exist..... but people have been acting like this in League and other online games long before twitch. Its nothing new and for the most part I doubt it will ever go away.
I'm not saying it will go away, and I'm not saying people weren't like this before, but I think it's a fair consensus that it has gone worse overtime and in my opinion they contribute significantly to its perpetuation.
: Streamers are only a *small* reason; the viewers those toxic streamers have are only a fraction of the playerbase. But yeah, remember when players started running it down mid because of Tyler1's ID ban? And now people are playing Teemo support because of NB3 or Nubrac's bans
I think we underestimate how big of a reason it is, but I respect you if you think it's smaller.
: > They are the biggest and most constant reference for players. No they are not. Everyone's individual ego is what will make them choose to be douchenozzles in game or not. People who are not douchenozzles won't watch Tarzaned and then magically decide to be toxic fuckwits in game. Everyone is responsible for their own behavior.

: NB3 def isn't in the right here but you CANNOT defend Nubrac's actions. Teemo support in it of itself isn't a really great pick to begin with. But picking Teemo support and leaving the ADC to solo lane while you steal the mid laner's EXP is just plain trolling. That isn't a 'roaming support'. That isn't an 'off-meta tactic'. It's trolling, and they have a sub 50% winrate. They're ruining people's games. Glad they got banned. I'm all for off-meta and cool picks, but this is just something else.
Think about this, He got to that same elo as them as support pick, which means he can win at high elo But most importantly: how many losses are because his teammates see the pick as troll and refuse to even try like that game? What ruins more the game, a 48% winrate pick or people going afk at 5 minutes? Just think,
