: Which Borderlands 2 Character Should I Play?
I think Maya is probably my favorite character to play, she seems to be the overall best to me, her skill just has so much versatility. However, nothing can quite measure up to playing Gaige with an Anarchy build. Get yourself a Jakobs or Torgue shotgun with one shot per clip, and run around the field like a lunatic popping heads. Grab the skill that gives you full shields on kill, run screaming into the fray, jump in a dude's face and splatter his brains, don't stop, never stop, embrace the insanity. You also get the hands-down best vocal barks in the game at higher Anarchy stacks.

: Would we have anyone left on this planet if we could transport ourselves to a anime world?
Honestly, it depends on the world. Life in most anime worlds would either be a nightmare of being constantly under threat of annihilation, or wholly mundane, because you wouldn't be the protagonist, you'd be a random nobody in the background. It's the same problem as when people bring up life in the Marvel universe, and how it would actually be terrifying. That said, I dunno, someplace with magic or space travel would be neat, if I have to be an average Joe at least let me play with fireballs or live on a space colony.

Daphne KNOWS she's hot, and that's kinda unappealing and obnoxious. You know she's only banging Fred because he looks like he was built in a Nazi lab. But there's some appeal to the idea of a girl who is attractive but too shy/modest to even realize it. I dunno, looking at my dating record I always tended to go for that sort of girl. Not to mention it's always the quiet nerd who ends up being goddam crazy in the sack.

: Rock Lee vs Gaara - why didn't Rock Lee win? (semi-intense rant)
I've said it before, I've said it a thousand times: If Rock Lee was the protagonist, that series would have actually been amazing. Naruto is an awful protagonist, I watched something like 70 episodes before I felt like I just couldn't tolerate it anymore. But Rock Lee? He has a massive handicap, and he overcomes it by overcompensating in what he can do, which is an example of fantastic character development. He's determined as fuck and has a mentor that constantly encourages and pushes him further, fantastic, that's a good foundation for a story. Why is he not the hero? Frankly, his arc and showdown with Gaara was basically the only part of the show I legitimately enjoyed, even if he did ultimately lose. After that the series was just a slog that wore me out.

Life goes on. > > The idea of ISPs exponentially increasing their prices is just unrealistic, and relies on people being mindless, complacent sheep unwilling to make small sacrifices. Which, if that's the case, we have bigger problems than being overcharged for the internet. You lived in the pre-internet era when the world was in the pre-internet era. You lived in the dial-up era when the world was in the dial-up era. You were on-par with your peers, not drastically ahead or behind them. Common web browsing today would choke on a dial up modem thanks to HD images and video content thrown all over web pages and in ads. The technology of yesteryear is simply not up to the needs of the modern consumer. Jobs where you work remotely also require a broadband connection, and would often not be suited to being carried out in a public place. I also fail to see how letting a public library or McDonalds foot your internet bill solves your free market issue. As more people start to use those public services, they naturally become congested, which pushes people back towards buying their own broadband, which again is from the only source in town. As for prices, consider the following. Before Google Fiber came to town, Comcast was charging $65 for 75mbps down. That comes out to $0.86/mbps. After Google Fiber came to town, Comcast changed their pricing to $50 for 250mpbs down. That comes out to $0.20/mbps. **Comcast was charging 4x more before they had competition.** The price difference gets even more ludicrous if you consider what Comcast was charging for 250mbps before Google Fiber. Why would you think they'd be content to keep prices the same as they are now? As I pointed out in my earlier reply, Net Neutrality isn't only about people sitting around playing video games either. It's a subject that effects every company that needs to use the internet to deliver their services.

Who is this guy? His voice actor is the same guy...Johnny Young Bosch, one of the most well-known and easily recognizable guys in voice acting. He looks like DmC Dante, which, honestly I'm fine with. It makes him more distinct from the *actual* Dante, I always thought they looked a little too similar in Devil May Cry 4 (Yes, family resemblance, I know). In fact, his personality is reminding me of DmC, too. It's basically like they realized Nero was a shit character in 4, so they ganked DmC's Dante and mashed him together with Nero. Still, I'm hoping there is at least as much Dante gameplay as was in 4 because, A) Dante always gets the coolest toys, and B) Dante has a real Devil Trigger unlike Nero's weird Stand thing (Unless that's changing, who knows). Also, it's been confirmed that there will be a 3rd playable character. But for all we know, it could just be a non-canon Virgil or Sparda mode.

Do you really expect a coherent story from this series anymore? Assassin's Creed is just mindless frat-boy bait at this point, no different than Madden or CoD, shitting out sequels to keep Ubisoft's coffers full. I'm pretty sure they just throw darts at a map to get the setting.

: It hasn't always been the case admittedly, but as a general rule I only 'pirate' games that don't have a demo version available so I can get a feel of the game before buying, or if there was never an _official_ English release to buy. I don't even care if the demo is only the first 30 minutes or something simple like that, I'm just not gonna spend $40-60+tax on a total wildcard anymore, I'm done with that nonsense. Once I've gotten a feel for whether or not the game is worth owning, I delete the pirated copy and either buy it or wait for it to go on sale, or ignore it altogether. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule -games I don't require a demo for before buying- but they're only from devs I can trust to consistently release products in IPs I enjoy - Atlus, IS, and Bethesda. When I end up not liking one of the games from these companies, I can write it off as bad luck or bad judgement on my part without being too disappointed or upset, and I can keep the games despite not enjoying them much without feeling disgust at having them in my library like I did with FF13. Actually, FF13 sort of kickstarted this whole 'demo required' rule of mine. It was my first entry in the FF series, I took a gamble on it when it came out, and it was so fucking bad I gladly sold it back to gamestop the next day for a huge loss.

: Pirating and stealing arent the same thing. Stealing implies a loss of a physical object. If i steal $10, the original owner no longer has $10. However, if i pirate a song, the original owner still has said song. The only argument against piracy is a lost sale, however there is no evidence that someone who pirates would have bought said item if it werent pirateable, and there is evidence to suggest piracy actually leads to an increase of sales, not a decrease.

From personal experience, I pirated a lot when I was poor, but then I ended up buying re-releases or sequels later on when I could afford them. Hell, these days I even scour flea markets for old games I used to have ROMs of, just to have them as part of my collection. I probably wouldn't have done so if I hadn't pirated them in the first place.
