Tweaking assassins are really hard, I'm focusing on champion to champion interactions here along with the early lane to lane interactions mostly on these changes, and finding good tweaks that would allow them to be healthy in lane in terms of damage, like the level 3 all ins from assassins, despite the recent damage nerfs, shouldn't result in a 80-0 from 1 rotation. At the same time, you'd want to be able to make sure assassins do have the higher kill potential because that's what they're made for, trying to find that fine line, especially in just pure numbers is pretty hard. Even so, there are some that actually look pretty toxic when you look at it. Like kha'zix, while it's 10 seconds on his Q now, 100 damage at level 1 is 1/5 of most champions level 1 hp (ignoring resistances), along with isolation that's about 1/3 of most champions HP, while that might seem much, cause it is, after he burns those spells, he won't be able to do much, so it's really made to kill a target, and if you think you can't do anything against him in laning phase, you must be really dumb to just walk in melee range of him and let him Q you for free over and over. Another straight up buff in lane is Ekko, in terms of kill potential, as first enemy champion hit when it goes out it a guarantee to deal what was once it's return damage, now just because the return damage doesn't do much, doesn't mean the enemy shouldn't dodge it cause if you still get hit by both portions of his Q, it just opens you up from getting bursted by his passive. While I do agree that the CD nerfs are heavy, I do have 3 questions for you: - Do you think it's ok for an assassin to pull 1.5-2+ rotations of his kit in <5 seconds? - If no, what damage compensation or any compensation do you think would be enough to allow them to have a healthy laning phase, and a healthy burst pattern late? - If yes, why do you think it's ok for assassins to dish out high damage abilities in a short amount of time? - Lastly, do you think assassins should be catered to killing 1 over many?

these changes are to gut assassins. i know you people on the boards hate them, but if they don't have damage or kill pressure then they will disappear. mages have damage and utility while assassins just have damage take that away and they are nothing. these cds and damage nerfs are heavy, you haven't even taken into account most assassins are melee and have mana costs, too many straight nerfs without compensation

blue still lacks imo. the red has damage,cc, and is durable. blue only has damage and in league everyone has assassin dmg so i see no point in picking it i might as well pick a better assassin like zed or talon. every time i pick blue its so hard to do anything well even if i play him like an assassin, i do better with khazix. blue can work but your honestly shooting yourself in the foot by choosing that form. once i started using red i started winning, assassins are so bad now they really need a good start or they fall off to that adc with a bf and a static shiv

: If you poke to make sure her all-in kills, you don't need her max damage to *land* a kill. Yeah, Ahri could use a bit of help, but she has no real strategic niche to work around if you ask me. If you figure out what she's supposed to do besides "deal damage and be safe from damn near anything", you could figure out how to buff her. A lot of Riot's older champs have this issue.
but thats one of the problems. Her poke cost too much mana for little dmg, and the range is meh

[edit: the costs you stated weren't all corrent] Q = 85 Mana at max rank W = 50 Mana at max rank E = 85 Mana at max rank R = 100 Mana at max rank That's only 320 Mana, and her high mana costs help with this item {{item:3165}}. *** {{champion:56}} another good example, he runs out of mana fast because he doesn't have any way of sustaining it besides getting blue buff in the jungle. Q = 80 Mana at max rank W = 50 Mana at max rank E = 80 Mana at max rank R = 100 Mana at max rank That's a total of 310 Mana for a champion who doesn't have an AD version of {{item:3165}} to gain some mana back after he does his whole combo.
