: I am ashamed of our region (huge rant)
Well, this is it. This was the last time I believed in NA teams. Next year I'm gonna put all of them not leaving group stage. If they can somehow prove me wrong, good. Better that then hoping for them to get our every year and get disapointed. https://pickem.na.lolesports.com/en-US#my-picks/group
: There's that MVP. Inting in a 2 v 2 that he should know had no chance. Oh and there's that guy that said he's better than Jensen inting in at half health and giving G2 another kill. Hurrah, there's that mvp. He finally got one.

He finally got one. That was really painful to watch. But overall I'm still blaming Reapered for all this. The amount of pressure on Sven and the whole team overall was HUGE with those two loses with Blaber coming in. Not being able to have one stable roster and keep using it was C9 downfall this World. Also, like Jensen said, Nisky really needed an ego check. I think he just got it. Being the 2nd seed in NA sadly doesen't mean you are above the rest of the competition.
: NA MVP
Seems like TL is the only hope for NA this year, unless C9 can stop sending Blaber and actually put Sneaky on ADC. Aside from Licorice, they really haven't looked good this first week.
: Unrealistic? Maybe But...
I also have high hopes for NA, especially on TL and C9. I might be wrong, but hey I want to support them anyway. https://pickem.na.lolesports.com/en-US#my-picks/group
: C9 winning worlds?
As much as I like C9, I don't see them winning Worlds. They'll have to make a statement just to get our of their group.
: My prediction: C9 will beat TL
I'm rooting for C9 on this one. I also like TL, but it feels like C9 is way due for a title after all those years. I just hope it goes all the way to game 5.

For once, we won't have to worry about Korea/China taking it all home. Being NA, I will root mostly for TL, but I honestly won't mind if G2 win. These teams both deserved to be in the finals so I just hope we get a good series.

Sadly TL victory over IG is but a fleeting dream. I just don't think they can get on the same level as IG. Maybe they can take a game off them, but I would be very surprised to see them win a Bo5 against a team this clean. If they ever get an early lead, they need to play perfectly. A single mistake could mean the game is back in IG's favor. If they can prove me wrong and get to the finals, I'll be very, very glad. Doubt they will tough.
: PVB vs G2 esport
The funny thing is that they are 2-0 VS SKT but 0-2 vs PVB. It's like G2 flip a coin before a match and one side does very well and one side is terrible.
: Maybe i'm just too dumb to understand by why doesn't NA ban properly?
Good exemple is TL VS SKT. Not banning Lee Sin even tough it's by far Clid best champion. Why waste a ban on Olaf instead of Lee Sin? I don't get it.

: Watching MSI is Depressing for NA Fans
Ok, I have to say, finally a good show from TL VS G2 in their last game of the group stage. This is the level of play they need to keep if they want to have any chances at all in knockout.
Azca33 (NA)
: Watching MSI is Depressing for NA Fans
Nothing surprising, any NA team not named C9 is always a big disapointment at international events.

Well C9 just got reversed sweep by TSM. They tasted their own medecine.

: I Think This Series Showed One of The Glaring Issues NA Has
I am also pissed that C9 lost. Not that they lost, but how they lost. It was such poor draft and just having Jensen playing Lissandra 3 times was a terrible mistake. Where are the picks that propeled them trough the quarters? Also, after that Svenskeren dive in game 1 (seriously, I just stared at my screen for 10 secs with my mouth wide open wondering wth just happened...), I knew Fnatic had it in the bag. I expected the series to be much closer then this. C9 had the potential to win it all this year, but they went full "NA"...Fnatic came to win. C9 looked so lost it seems they came just to survive. So yeah, it's great that a NA team finally made it to semis, but man was that exit disapointing...

Meanwhile group A... And C9 got stuck with the best team in China and Gen. G. Team Vitality also played very well and C9 had to really show they deserved to get past group stage. While the heavy underperformance of Gen. G. contributed to that, they still deserve their spot. TL could have done the same (and get out as 2nd seed), if they didn't choke on international stage.
: 2 groups done perfect
I will only have group C correct (cause I knew Liquid would choke). Messed up group A cause I had FW 2nd. Group B is a total mess and group D I somehow put G-Rex before 100T, guess I underestimated 100T just a tad too much. Edit : Wow! Fnatic really showed up. I did not even get the 1st-2nd correct in group D either.

Did they just get lucky in NA?_ Championship points. Besically they got a free pass because they made finals in spring and got enough points in summer to get instalocked into 2nd seed. A stupid system IMO because they were not impressive during summer and showed during World that they were not good enough to be there. They sould have gone to Play-ins at the very least to prove their worth.

: Nothing new in worlds for NA
I honestly really don't like the fact that 100T got to World without fighting for it because of the championship points (who should be removed IMO, your spring performance should not have that big of an impact going to World, since the meta changes so much). We all knew this team would not be good enough for World (would have much prefered Echo Fox over them). Of course was also expecting the 1st seed to underperform as always (especially with Dlift in it, never liked the player because for all his Dtalk (even if most is joking), he never perform on international stage). As usual, C9 is the saving grace of NA, as the 3rd seed again no less.

: Watching NA Teams At Worlds
Nothing new here. Another world, another year where NA is just embarassing to watch. Liquid, C9 and 100T all 1-2 to begin and it won't get any easier for them. I hate doing EU VS NA comparisons, but they have been performing so much better so far. We have Fnatic and G2 both 2-1 and Vitality are impressive so far even if they are 1-2 (they threw the game VS C9). Unlike NA, EU are actually not meta slaves and they play to the strengths of their teams, not afraid to bring out picks like Heimer, Sivir or Eiko. Thier overall performance is also much better. NA are playing so passive or make stupid engages at wrong times (Like that Blaber engage in C9 vs Gen.G...). I honestly don't expect a single NA team to get our of groups this year.
: so who did you guys pick for group stages?
Here's mine...http://pickem.lolesports.com/share/series/5/user/5463/my-picks I honestly don't have much hope for NA/EU teams overall. C9 especially getting matched with RNG and Gen. G. (aka Samsung Galaxy aka last world champions)...It will take a miracle for them to get out of group this year...

And there you have it. TSM out of World. Now you can cheer for all 3 NA teams.

Agreed. Zayzel looked much better on champions like Pyke. Seems they went into the series in "defense mode" and it cost them dearly.

Well I am a C9 fan and what I'm saying is let them prove themselves. If after a few weeks it's clear that they don't perform better then with Jensen/Sneaky/Smoothie, then what's the point of switching then? That said, one of the reason I really liked C9 was the bot lane duo/synergy. With Sneaky gone now especially, the ADC that shaped the team identity for so long, is benched, they feel like a completely new team now. I can understand some of the community backlash because it is a pretty major change. Just think if TSM did the same, we would see exactly the same kind of comments.

: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: April 20
Hey @Meddler. Off-topic first. Visiting Japan is one of my dream in life someday (when my kids are older). I'm a big fan of japanese culture (and everything they produce, from video games to manga/anime). If you find a minute, I'dd like to ask you a few things. 1. What are the best places you visited? 2. How much did it cost you (heard it's very expensive to travel there)? 3. How much did you enjoy the culture? 4. How much time do you think it's worth traveling there so actuallly get a real sample of the life there? LoL related now, great to see other roles will have a greater influence in the game overall. It get can boring to always gather only around the ADC for the win condition (especially in pro play).
: Please get Brand out of the support role
Sadly, Brand will stay support until his ultimate gets changed. Currently, it's way better in 2v2 scenario and quite bad at 1v1. If he actually had a strong 1v1 ultimate, I'm pretty sure we would see him going mid lane.

For years now, no matter their spring or summer performance, they are always the best performing team of NA on international stages, and it's all that matters in the end.

It got interesting indeed. As a C9 fan, I'm still sad about their collapse, I really think they had the potential to win it. You forgot {{champion:17}} in that list. Close to 10 years old and his kit did not age well at all.

Nobody mentionned {{champion:17}} so I will. One of the original roster. Visual very outdated. Passive skill on abilities. Outdated CC. Overall lack of depth. He need a VGU.

: How bad doublelift realy is ?
I really don't like Doublelift, and it's not going to change unless he has a serious attitude shift. Right now : -He is very cocky and his attitude is annoying. He thinks he's the best ADC in the World... -...wich leads him to disrespect his opponents...many times... -...wich leads them to punishing him heavily for being out of position, be it to farm or before/during team fights So yeah, I don't think he is a good player with this mentality.

Sure, sometimes they get crushed, but at least they have the balls to try new stuff (like that Nocturne pick) and are actually VERY enjoyable to watch. They play aggressive and try to push early advantages. TSM are meta slaves and play like crap. They also turtle every game and don't even try to win early. Very boring to watch.

Classic TSM. Doublelift disrespect Misfits bot lane and get poked way too much (I seriously love seeing that guy getting beaten up, cause his ego is so annoying), opening easy dives for Gragas.
