: i think you were in one of my games. i can't be sure as i muted you the first time you pinged missing. in a video game for fun the last thing most people want is to be bitched at by a stranger. i won't put up with my girlfriend bitching at me, let alone some pouty manchild who can't even have fun in a normals game. the system isn't the problem, you are. others actions do not dictate your actions, only you can do that.

Good question! Opportunity cost is the cost a person or company has to pay when doing something else. This can come in the form of money, but more often looks like time + man power + effort + not being able to do other things. Another way to say this is "what do I have to give up in order to get this?" An example (and part of the reason I ask) is that when Riot works on something heavily requested (lets take practice tool for example), that **costs** peoples time, attention, and focus. The **opportunity cost** than of doing practice tool might have been something like a delay of Clash (again just a fake example) or less resources and attention on Clash which might have led to the bugs and issues that were seen. Opportunity cost is another way of framing the effects decisions have on other decisions / actions someone or something is doing.

: Hey
What an insane circle jerk this is. It happens every time someone gets permabanned: Downvote the thread, downvote any supporters or people that try to listen or give reason, and villainize the OP no matter what he did or did not do. Quit being a bunch of snowflakes. This guy clearly is only guilty of report calling (which is a ridiculous rule in of itself) and that is NOT something worth having your account permabanned for even if you did have a 14 day suspension recently. Get off your fucking high horses ffs.
: Is there anything I can do other than send a ticket to dispute a ban?
RayleighTT (EUNE)
: Hey
I don't see anything here that would even warrant a 10 game chat restriction. The only negativity I'm seeing is report calling, but unless you've had a long line of chat restrictions and a recent 14 day suspension then that shouldn't be an issue. Either way, report calling isn't worth a perma ban. I would open up a support ticket and ask Riot Support to do a manual review.
: Well before, 2 Common and a Unique per champion cost 850 RP. Now 3 Commons cost 225 RP, and 3 Uniques cost 590 RP. You're still paying for achievements though, which was the entire cause for the backlash to begin with, so a price reduction isn't really a solution here.

It's 815 instead of 850 now. That's a 4 percent decrease and it still costs over $800 USD to unlock Set 1 for all champions. Can't wait to see the price for Set 2!

The issue is that report calling is considered toxic by Riot's behavioral standards. Since it's a reportable offense, people will instantly take the opportunity to report you over the person you are claiming to be a troll or flamer in /all chat. If someone is being a douchebag then you need to evaluate the situation **before** speaking out in chat. Is that person on your team in a duo/trio/quad? Don't say anything or else they will x2/3/4 report you and claim in /all chat that you were the toxic one, and you will likely have a x9 if you're matched with a quad (it's happened to me!!). Sometimes the best thing you can do is simply type /fullmute all and play a peaceful match of League by yourself 1v9. It beats being bullied by premades for the entire match and then getting an account punishment on top of it after they convince the enemy team to report you with them. inb4 "more than one report doesn't count/matter" because anyone who's played enough games knows this is **FAR** from the truth.
: When's the last time you actually had fun playing League?

Looking at your chat, it's entirely ridiculous that **anyone** playing an online video game **anywhere** would have their account permanently suspended for saying the things you did. Forget the account history, the content of the offense should still be deserving of a perma in order to be perma'd.
LaceUpXX (NA)
: Reason #1 we need a soloQ
Trolls and flamers will always have alternate accounts and make new accounts to keep trolling and flaming. If someone is not going to play seriously in ranked games then they need to be removed from the ladder entirely. The account needs to be flagged as a troll account and have its access to ranked games removed. Simple.
Dynikus (NA)
: Care to elaborate what you're talking about? With you being incredibly vague, and mentioning riot's ban policy for toxicity, it comes off as some salty kid that got banned for flaming and is trying to go after riot for absolute nothing, similar to the droves of people who have said they're going to sue riot for banning their account with X amount of money spent on it for stealing from them. You're not raising awareness at all for whatever it is you're referring to, as you give no details.
> [{quoted}](name=Dynikus,realm=NA,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=AMRAJfm1,comment-id=0002,timestamp=2019-08-20T19:02:22.399+0000) > > Care to elaborate what you're talking about? : Is Trundle support (still) viable.
Trundle takes "Troll Support" to a whole new level!
: why am i getting a 14 day suspension?
Send a support ticket and explain the issue. You were report calling, which according to Riot is negative in itself, but like others have said the IFS will not pick up on the context and simply issue a suspension since that language is contained in your personal chat log. I can't speak for Riot Support, but I could imagine your 14 day suspension being revoked and you'd get a chat restriction instead. Good luck!
Cörnifer (EUW)
: Perma Banned
I feel like Riot has extremely unrealistic expectations for people who are playing an online, multiplayer, PvP game.
: Riot Games and felony evasion.
: Riot, Could you consider using another business model?
Agreed. The money you have to invest in this game is ridiculous. The complete randomness of the Teamfight Tactics crates is absurd, and now the new Eternals system costing a whopping 123,250 RP (Over $800!!) to unlock for every champion (for Set 1 alone!!) with no option to use BE or champion shards to unlock for free. The legality of loot crates in games which are marketed to minors is already being challenged in the USA government, and it would be morally best for Riot as a company and for the health of the player base if any type of randomness or lottery would be taken out of purchasable content. Make hextech chests and gemstones STRICTLY a free drop earned by playing and remove them from the store, remove the randomness factor from Teamfight Tactics cosmetics and make them purchasable just like skins, and give a BE and/or champion shard option to Eternals with the option for RP (and lower the RP price!!!). When you combine Riot's sales tactics with the lack of balance/fairness/etc. and the lack of listening to the playerbase AND the constant controversies inside Riot Headquarters it's no wonder more and more players like myself are being pushed farther and farther away from the game we used to love.

: ~~So ... where's the flame?~~ I see you uploaded those images. Rioters aren't required to be saints. But if they are found to be consistently toxic on their Rioter account, they can lose their jobs. Either way, this is one game of a tilted behavior. Any player (not just Rioters) will require a bunch more of similar games before they get punished.

This is not true. My very first account punishment, in the form of a 10 game chat restriction, came with only one match on the reform card. In that game, I called for open mid and said the match was a lost cause, and then sat in shop. One match, and I said far less than what this Rioter did.

Any kind of reminder would be great, as well as an option to report someone for their behavior as it is taking place (i.e adding a method to report someone in-game or even in the pre-game lobby), or even after the post-game lobby in case of crashes or forgetfulness.

I agree with your questioning, because the wording makes it sound like you need to have a shield for 4 seconds before you can proc the buff. It could also mean that the proc window increases with level, but this doesn't make much sense.
: Yes and that irelia in the lore fought against tyranny, its because it fits her character/lore well, and is moderately funny because you as the person banning her are the tyrant banishing her from the rift that game. I also would argue that your concerns about desensitization are overblown, considering we live in the age of information and dictators/tyrants worldwide get exposed more quickely (can't hide the atrocities/oppressive government they run). Maybe here in america to some extent people are desensitized to some things, but I would argue that is more because of the rise of apathy that comes with longer term prosperity (relative to other places) in a nation.

See, I would argue that your attitude here towards our information technology versus tyranny being enough is in itself apathetic. You make such a claim, and yet there are still countries where groups of people are denied basic human rights, and there seems to be nothing the populous or even other nations can do about such egregious violations of human rights. I feel that your stance on this only gives credence to my argument that we are becoming desensitized to the literal meaning of these words and the weight that they carry because of jokes as the one I have raised concern over. Again, while I can appreciate Irelia's lore and character, I feel that crying out against the player calling them "tyrant" is yet another example of a very dark word being made light of.

: Wukong is sick of the counters in lane
Playing Wukong can be very rewarding after building a couple items and roaming, but it can be very difficult to get through the earlier laning phase without falling behind. I would suggest looking up videos and tutorials of how to freeze your lane just before your turret. Mastering that tactic will keep the enemy laner in a perfect position for ganks and put you within the safety of your turret. You cannot control what your jungler decides to do, but at least you can do your best to make a favorable situation for yourself. Good luck!

When they say "Play Alistar" or "Play a tank" or "Play Janna or Soraka" then just ignore them and don't say anything. When they accuse you of trolling, ignore them. When they flame you, mute them. When they spam pings and emotes, mute those too. As long as you are playing to win and not trolling the team and allowing your adc to cs then you're fine. They can report you all they want, but if your chat log is empty and you didn't troll then the reports do absolutely nothing. Some of the most satisfying games I've played as support are the ones where the adc I muted during the match is raging and ranting in the post-game lobby because they got carried by their support, even though they got their own cs and kills.

I'm not an oldschool veteran, but I have been playing since s5 and am very aware of how the IFS works. In the past 3 years, this is only the second penalty against my account for in-game behavior. Believe me, I am not going to be banned unless I wanted to be. My behavior in the two matches I was penalized for was very much intentional, and I have zero regrets. I didn't come here for support or to gain popular opinion; I simply want to let the snowflakes, fuckboys, cry babies, and players that simply need to uninstall and play Fruit Ninja because they will never ever be good at a PvP based game all know that teaming up on their carry and reporting them to make them feel better still won't make them good. It won't make them feel better about themselves. It won't help them learn game strategy. It won't make them a better person. If people don't want to get flamed then they shouldn't do flamable things. Otherwise, they can always hit the mute buttons.

: as much as I agree with telling people your reporting should not count as harassment and askin for reports but they have policys set in stone and alls that does is if they are having a bad game just makes them feel worse about having a bad game I am very anti sjw and this just falls under common sense because you using the reporting system to be a bully

: Pyke’s mask
My two cents: His bandana needs more detail and he needs more vocal interactions with other champions.
