Whatever you say. You're completely oblivious.

: You're not in it, you just got lucky placements into Silver 5, like a TON of people get. That's why it's the higher populated tier. You weren't actually Silver and dropped right the fuck out of that bracket. Should have just not played and taken the Silver border like everyone else that gets placed there.
Complete bullshit. I got placed in Silver 5 and proceeded on a 20 game losing streak without being demoted. This system is absolute garbage.
Karlyr (NA)
: A) To be demonted from Silver 5 you need to have and elo of Bronze 5, meanning your MMR is ultra-low, meanning you have to win A LOT of games to go back to it. (It also means that you are losing a lot of LPs and gainning really little. This kind of "injustice" will keep happening until you get your real MMR.) B) No one will want to answer you properly if you keep this attitude. C) If you answer : "I'm leaving this game full of fanboys and injustices". YOu won't be missed. Believe me.
I didn't get demoted to bronze. Read what I fucking said. 20 game losing streak in Silver 5 without a demotion. You fanbois are fucking delusional.
: Ranked is frustrating and posts like this make me feel right for NOT getting involved in it after getting Silver. It will just end up with me getting mad about how most games I play with have feeders, people who don't ward, stay in lane and never teamfight, argue all game long, etc. And there's really nothing I can do about it. League was made as a team game but I see more teamwork in Barbie Princess Dress Up.
Honestly, just go play HotS. That's what League is turning into, anyway. It's become a joke.

: You don't get more points because you had a good KDA. All that matters is the win or loss.
No shit, but i can be penalized for my team being complete morons.

: It's worth mentioning that Riot will never do this. You will never be able to play the game without connecting to their servers. Allowing other people to run their own servers means that they have to give out the server logic, which leaves the game open for hackers to find flaws in the code, and develop cheats, and allows other people to run private servers, which would take traffic away from Riot's servers. Also worth noting that you would still need a server for offline purposes, it's just that the server would be running on the computer that you are playing on (and you would be communicating with yourself).
That's not what he's talking about. He wants to play bots offline. Which would be easy to implement.

Sorry, not really technical here with using the term "server" so forgive me. My whole point is I want to play league offline with bots when I don't have internet, without having to sign in.
You want a setup like how Minecraft operates. Minecraft creates a server on your computer for your single player game. Modify your OP to reflect offline bot mode, not unofficial server.
Sozan5 (EUNE)
: This can (and would) backfire with very serious consequences... You see, as it is right now - players don't have access to all data the game have - however, if Riot wanted to make an offline-mode they would have to put all the required data in game (since you aren't connecting to anything). With skilled crackers all around this would result in the following: - Unofficial League of Legends servers - Bigger amount of exploits and hacks Both are rather major, and I wouldn't like to see either.
That's a red herring. Invalid. You have no idea if that's what would happen. I'm pretty sure the op is asking for something like how Minecraft creates an instance of a server on your computer, then connects to it to play a single player game. Even if it could be hacked, it makes no difference, as soon as you hop online, Riot could run a hash check to make sure all the data is the same on your client.
: Um, gain LP based on winning rather than just based on playing.
And you'd like to lose LP based on a troll playing badly? I guess that makes sense... be punished for your teammates shortcomings instead of being rewarded for your performance. Yea... that logic makes sense. As I've said... the system needs to be tweaked.
: To a degree that's true, but at the same time it overlooks some of he subtleties of the game. If you sacrifice yourself to stop the enemy from backing while a teammate back doors the enemy nexus, it is the right play 100% of the time bc your death interrupted back timers and your team wins the game as a result. However, your rating will go down bc of the death. Additionally it's a score that is limited to "how people at your MMR do w/ that champ" because it is based off stats in a game that is stacked to narrow the skill of players it doesn't really reflect skill as much as skill within the MMR range you are now.
The system needs to be tweaked as it is, but it's still better than the current Elo system. Like I said, still a couple years until it would be implemented, but I can see it happening. I mean, wouldn't you rather your LP gains and losses be actually determined by how well you played instead of how many trolls you had?
: Champion Mastery is nothing close to determining actual skill level. You can go 0-10-0 and GAIN mastery points. Nothing you can do will decrease your mastery points. Play a champion for 50 games and you'll get "master" on your champion, even if you are the worst player and loose all those 50 games. It does nothing but measure how much you play the champion, not your skill level at all.
And you can see how it's a better system than the current Elo system, right? Would you rather gain LP based on performance, or lose it based on trolls?

I don't know about you, but champion mastery is only semi-accurate for me.
Like I said, still going to be years before it's fully implemented. Obvious things still need tweaking, but it's 100% times better than the bullshit Elo system as is.
: > [{quoted}](name=haaaaaaaalp,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=HEhg4IE2,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2015-05-19T19:02:59.833+0000) > > While you are right in that restriction is currently reserved for bad behavior, people are starting to realize that system is old and outdated. Restriction should be used based on how badly players ruin games and not how badly they behave. That is a much better way to reduce toxicity than to tunnelvision on behavior. The problem with that is that it can and will be abused. It sounds logical if someone is intentionally troll games in which case there is an option to report them for, however, you cannot report someone because they are playing poorly, that is just stupid. Not everyone is challenger level gameplay 24/7.
But Riot has FINALLY implemented a system which CAN ACTUALLY BE USED to determine your skill level. The champion mastery feature is something people have been asking for for years. They keep track of all these stats and numbers, but none of them are used to actually determine your skill. Now, you can PROPERLY gauge someone's skill level without forcing them into auto-lose games. Too bad it won't truly be implemented for years.
: 0. Nothing. You can't make other people feel things. Toxic people are responsible for their own behavior.

: You should've just titled this, "Dear Teemo From My Last Game". . .
and the game before that and the game before that and the game before that and the game before that and the game before that...

: I've found that even when I get an S+ rating, I only get maybe 250 extra points. Considering you get 1k+ for simply winning, I stopped caring about my KDA when trying to level mastery.
I can understand that... but if I'm going to be graded on my performance, finally, it should at least be fair...
: no one honestly knows what any of the grading criteria are...and u rise in ranks, so u will make the top rank even if u lose each game.... i just dont see the point
I'm pretty sure it's heavily weighted towards kills. I can take objectives all day and it won't matter. I went 1/1/15 with ali support and got a C...
: You're being compared to people that played that champion, not everyone as a whole. You're not getting S ratings because you're not getting as much farm, warding as much, kills, assists, dying too much, etc.
that's ridiculous. i'm being compared to someone on a different team comp, most likely using a different build... I went 3/3/15 as full tank jg malph, placed about 10-15 wards, got two people fed, 3 drags (won before the 4th), baron... got a "b-"
