: Teambuilder was great, can we get it back?
I think teambuilder should have been ranked. I mean everyone gets to play whomever and wherever they please, so it means it becomes an actual contest of skill. People are a lot less likely to do poorly due to being thrown in a situation they don't know how to handle, and people are less likely to run it down since they get what they want from the start. Versus ranked now, which is practically a griefer's paradise. Called it a game of skill is like calling Riot an indie company.

Poor logic. What you're doing is throwing out a lottery ticket you already bought because you don't like the odds. You already started a match, the only way you're certain to lose is if you give up.

If you surrender, you just ensure it. If you keep playing, there's still a chance (no matter how slim) that something can happen that could give you the win. It could be you and your team making a tide turning play, or it could be the other team making a lethal mistake that your team maximizes on. You still have a chance to win.

Problem is that it's impossible to have the best of both worlds here. One of them will be OP, so the question is which one do we want.
: Why do people not just forfeit ffs?!
Here's my forfeiting mindset: If unranked, I will only forfeit if I'm well behind, people have left, and/or the game is already pretty much over (as in they are way ahead and the Nexus is going to fall in five minutes). If ranked, I won't really give a shit about the odds. I have LP on the line, and I'm not going to give it up without fighting to the end. One last thing: If you keep failing surrender votes and decide to afk in base, you honestly deserve a suspension. It is worse than saying shit to other players, and makes you look like a toddler, quite frankly.

"Someone built AD Lux therefore Lux is bad" is nonsense in the same way as "someone with a car that has LED headlights used their high-beams when they shouldn't have therefore LED headlights are bad." Your logic is simply flawed, that's all. I'm saying that they need to figure it out, and it's a bad idea to use them because it is dangerous to use them until they are properly aligned. I am also saying LEDs are already bright enough and do not need a setting that makes them brighter than the sun. Nobody needs that much brightness. If LED headlights were properly aligned and didn't cause temporary blindness to oncoming traffic, I'd be for them. As they are right now, however, they impede more than they help, so I am against them. And if I saw a Lux player go for an AD build, I would blame the punishment system because that player is clearly trolling. I mean you can read about her before you play, the game classifies her as a mage (and possibly a support, it's been a year), and the recommended items are items that are ideal for AP casters. This covers all bases, so nobody with the right might will conclude that she's anything besides a mage or a support should they try to pick her up
: I will say one thing about the vote botting, it is real. I mean hell, it might just be ONE person with 20 accounts even that will do. Back when MW2 was the latest call of duty game and I was making montages, I used a youtube subscription boosting forums and with only 2 very shitty videos, I had 1500 subscribers IN ONE WEEK and I still have most of those subs (ofcourse they are just fake accounts that were only created for sub boosting, but still looks like I have subs ;p) There's nothing preventing vote bots except for the cooldown on voting so many times in a row on one account, if I wanted to right now I could go make 100 accounts and then host a paid vote bot service and probably make a living from it. Yes the chances are likely that you were vote botted on..

Yes the chances are likely that you were vote botted on.. Now here's my new question: Why would someone bot on something like this? I mean I can see someone botting upvotes on a post they make, or botting downvotes on a thread that explains why their main should be nerfed. I cannot see why someone would bot against something that has nothing to do with them or their champion choices.

So if a true bug post including obvious proof gets senselessly downvoted, what do you expect on a post that REALLY grabs opinions? I get that downvotes are not hard to come by, but I cannot imagine there being so many league players that are really passionate about the kind of lights people use on their cars. Plus, like I said, the OP had a respectable score of about twelve. People tend to follow the mob on these boards, and their votes are no exception. Once a thread's score goes far enough a certain way, it rarely does a 180. Seeing as this particular sample size of downvoters is just too specific (GD users, strong opinion favoring LED lights, and all logging in within this short span of time. Honestly, LED lighting alone is probably not something to be fanatical about to begin within a gaming community, even without the other two conditions), it is possible that the botting claims could be right. To be fair, it is totally possible that the stars did align and all of these conditions were in fact met. However, seeing as the odds are so slim, there is a good chance that only a handful of the downvotes are legit.

The rest of us are doing just fine with regular light bulbs. > As for brights, this is also a problem. If you didn't think LEDs were obnoxious enough, they have a high beam function. You have to slow down and squint to see anything if you're unfortunate enough to have one of those idiots who use them all the time (or those douchebags who turn them on to punish drivers who aren't going fast enough for them. If there's one time I'd ever say that giving someone the bird is ever acceptable). Proper aim of headlights has absolutely nothing to do with LEDs. More light is a design decision that has nothing to do with LEDs. Every headlight has a "high beam" function, not just LEDs. Using that function incorrectly has nothing to do with LEDs.

True, but right now, I am not convinced they are rotated properly. It shouldn't be considered too hard to ask that they are aimed so that they shine their light on other cars, not the occupants. As for brights, I am well aware that both human and LED headlights have that setting. The complaint is that A: I am not convinced that people know when to use them, and B: LEDs should not be equipped with the setting, as they are already overkill without it.
: The lost ladies of League, who are long overdue for a skin.
: This is not the fault of LEDs per se. This issue stems from the rest of the design around the LEDs, which includes not only the fixture and optics but also (and especially) the tilt/adjustment of the assembly. And high-beams blinding oncoming drivers has nothing to do with LEDs at all; the whole point of high-beams is extra visibility for the driver in dark/rural areas. That's been a thing for decades. There's a _ton_ of misinformation out there about what LEDs are, how they work, and what they're capable of. If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer.

: Why the hell do you turn on your blinker AS YOU ARE TURNING
I normally turn them on a couple hundred feet before the intended turn, unless there are many possible turns that it could mean, in which case I wait until the exact turn. Other people just decide to brake first and then flip their signal on, and you're sometimes lucky if they even do you that solid!
: Honestly it might be more likely that the fact you were in a game with obvious bots triggered the ban If you're exposed to them without reporting them, the game could treat you as another bot given its literally a learning algorithm trying to find these bots and they often are premades together. Learning algorithms pretty much exist to fail until they get it right so I think its likely that a rapid decision was made given enough preset flags were set on your account. If you're regularly seeing bots, I think its reasonable that Riot would assume you're a bot if you're often in games with what the system has determined are bots.

And riot claims to be cautious with collateral damage.

So the moral of the story is that assassins are the bane of fun?

: FPS and PING is just a toxicity problem itself
Before we blame the player, keep in mind that more demanding games are able to run much better. TF2 has similar graphics (probably slightly better), but it also has more players on it, in addition to more things going on with a THIRD DIMENSION. The game runs much better on their LA servers than Riot does in Chicago (I live in SW Ohio for reference). Also, the performance also handles better for the more demanding game. With this in mind, I fail to see how the player is at fault when tougher games work better than the weaker one.

: Can we like, stop attacking the mods?
One day later, people continue the attacks. This time someone is whining because their "get gud" comment got taken down.

: Mods? Are you ok?
The fact that this guy essentially told someone to "get gud" instead of offering actual advice, got in trouble for it, is rallying people against the mods because of it, and IS ACTUALLY GETTING UPVOTES FOR IT tells me that the community is on the path to destruction. I quit the game at the right time, methinks.
