: It's not matchmaking. It's Jungle and support changes which both became polarized roles in every game, where they didn't used to be. If a Support or Jungler falls behind, there's no catch up mechanic anymore. Not only can you not XP, you can't gold either. You also can't compensate for poor teammates anymore, because your success is tied entirely to theirs as these roles now. And then, there's the fact people among 3-4 elos bunched together in each elo right now because our placements are now a remnant of the state that went into effect when positional ranking (Season 9) was removed where baseline MMR dropped with the introduction of Iron. Game basically just needs one person who is a smurf to have a good lane now, and the game is over, because a team can just huddle and push. I just had a smurfing {{champion:112}} last night have 219 CS by 14 minutes, vs a Veigar who didn't even counterlane yesterday. I don't think that's even possible. Was he TP'ing to push lanes and gathering all the farm while not missing any of his own farm? 164 CS is the most you can get from your lane at 14 minutes. Assuming he CS'ed perfectly, then took jungle camps without missing a single minion in his own lane, then roamed and collected huge waves every time he did... I guess, maybe? HIGHLY unlikely he was anywhere near 219 though.

: The 4-feeder one-way stomp meta is kind of garbage
I feel like its because jungle is just in such a shit state right now. Once they buff the jungle back, it should return to normal. As it is, 1 jungle gets behind, there is no catching up. You just went from 5v5 to 4v5 in one play. It usually happens early too, so the game is over pretty quick. After that, its just hope a lane gets fed AF or wait to FF and try to farm lanes as a jungler. Jungle XP is weak, you can't power farm it to get back in the game. TLDR: I think this meta is so lopsided because they so ridiculously fucked the jungle.
: Last season I got 2 accounts to Plat, this season I am struggling to get out of Silver.
New season is always a cluster. You've got everything from returning players to higher league players down lower due the leagues not having balanced out yet. I always wait a couple months to play ranked on my main account when a new season begins. Its a mess this year, it was one last year, and it'll be a mess next year too.

: Quick LoL Thoughts: January 17
Will the jungle be getting any love? It feels really rough and highly unforgiving in that role. Not like, "Oh no, I lost a fight and died once at scuttle early and now I'm behind, but it's ok because I can catch up if I do well", but more like "Oh no, I lost a fight at scuttle and I'm trying my best, but it looks like I'll be irrelevant and lose the entire game for my team while they flame me because I can't seem to get back in it". Well, I guess to revise on that last part, if things go wrong early my team doesn't even seem to flame much anymore. Everyone just seems to accept that they no longer have a jungle because that's what the role has become :( Even as a mid laner it doesn't feel great seeing my 1-0 jungle come in to try and help me when he is at a 2 level deficit to my opponent laner. I'm just left thinking, oh goodness I hope he plays this absolutely perfectly or we are dunzo.

: Need advice on top lane
Sounds like your macro game is weak and you aren't pressing your advantage when you do gain a lead. Some things I see fed top laners do that carry games in lower elo: Use TP for lane backing only the first time. After that it's to make plays on the map and capitalize on their lead (general rule of thumb). Shove lane/kill laner then immediately roam. Either opponent jungle or mid (or in the case they are very far ahead, both). If you can't tower dive, you can usually take the enemy jungle camps, and possibly the jungler. Take Heralds obviously. Keep an eye on scuttle early, if its spawning you can probably feed your mid/jgl by walking over there. If you saved TP as you should've, securing drakes. If you're already 6/0 or something and TP say bot, give your ADC/mid the kills. A lot of people in gold get fed then just take every single kill. That's not the optimal way to carry imo. Rolling off that last point, don't take every single kill just because you can. You're all in the same elo, odds are very high that if you get another lane as fed as you they can help carry too. A lot of people in low elo just assume everyone on their team is trash and they're the only key to victory. Most of those people are hard stuck with no idea why (JK, obviously their team mates right?) If you're playing Morde (going off your history) don't just ult who you think you can kill. Take the fed person out of the fight. If you listened to my prior point, you'll win the team fight. Learn when to split and when not to split and where to split. If Drake is up and your team is mid, and you're splitting top - you might be fucking up. In Silver/Gold there comes a point where they game generally devolves into two scenarios: Either A) it's now an ARAM or B) Everyone is running around trying to pick or getting picked because they overextended somewhere. Take advantage of that. If you're 20/2 and overextending forcing fights and you get picked at Barron or elder or something of significance, allowing the other team to take it while you respawn, then inevitably lose an inhib or worse - you threw the game harder than your entire team. Nobody gives a fuck about your KDA or end game damage. If you got a massive lead then dumpstered it by being stupid, that entire loss is on you. Don't be dumb with your lead, most come backs in low elo are because of this right here. Someone got fed then threw the game they could've won. Then inevitably they say some shit like "can't carry this" in all chat. Well no shit you can't carry this, you fucked up. This should go without saying, but people obviously tilt easily in low elo. Don't spam ping or talk shit to your team, it does nothing useful. The only time you should be pinging is if it's of use. I've met some great players in gold, but they're very inconsistent and tilt off the face of the earth. This gets exasperated by every idiot who wants to ignore their own bad plays and ping everyone else's. Nobody in Gold is good enough to ping anyone, you're all doing dumb shit repeatedly. Regarding lane control, don't push to their tower without wards and give up a shutdown. Your 1000 gold death to a Yi in Gold league can end the game. Doesn't matter if you're 7/1 at the end of the game, if you gave that guy the tools to snowball on other lanes - that's your fault. After a lead, if you can freeze the lane try to. Don't just endlessly shove to tower if you can't make use of it. Overall, capitalize on your lead. Killing the Garen who is now worth a cannon minion does nothing for you after a point. Make plays on the map, be at objectives, and push for the win not for the kills. Use pings and chat to direct your team when necessary. If they aren't doing what needs to be done, play around them. Don't just go where you should be and bitch when they aren't there as you die. Use your team to your advantage. Regarding losing lane, don't feed obviously. You don't NEED to stay even in CS when behind if it causes a death. Do try to get the experience though. A level disadvantage is massive compared to missing that cannon minion. If you have another lane that is winning, or getting ahead, there is no need for you to try and get ahead as well. Just go even or slightly worse and you win. That's it. Sometimes you just need to let someone else carry. Not all games are winnable, but 60% or higher is perfectly obtainable by making the right decisions and capitalizing on what you can. The more you play and focus on yourself, the easier the climb becomes. Leagues are nothing more than a gauge of how rounded out a player generally is, if you're stuck in one its because you're lacking somewhere others aren't. Despite popular belief on the forum and in game, you don't need to be a literal God with all the luck in the world to climb. You just need to do decent and make some good decisions when it matters. Also, because it is worth noting, sometimes you just fuckin lose. Sometimes everyone gets dumpstered. Shit happens, do what you can, but if its 2-20 at 15, just go next.

: i really hate the mentality ranked breeds in players
What really sucks is I run into some awful players in ranked. Like way more than I see in normals. But I know why sadly. People just tilt in ranked modes. You look at that dog shit players match history and often times they do really well, and in your elo no less. They just tilt into oblivion, compounded by every dumb ass that wants to make a comment about their plays. A real poor way to gain LP imo. I think if people just shut the fuck up and stopped trying to 1v9 they'd climb faster. Tldr I mute all in ranked

: Wukong Update- Prepped For PBE!
Had a chance to try him out quite a bit. Passive - A lot of people don't like it, I love it. Hands down better. Ult - Feels great to use, and the mobility is fantastic. Great change. Q - Feels a bit (and i mean very little) better early but falls off late. This is probably the trade off mentioned. W - Decent in lane for making plays. Cucks you on engagements as it can't go over walls and stops you from stealthing optimal paths. The attacking clone is a waste of power budget as I originally thought it would be. It hits maybe once, nothing very useful unless your opponent is brain dead. E - Also nerfed for late game, and OK early on against itemization as planned. Overall the monkey isn't really a lane bully, but he is better off than he was. However, his damage was nerfed hard for the late game and he still isn't any good as a bruiser. The rework seems to have made laning with him a bit easier, but for that fraction of power you really trade off a large chunk of your late game power. Tldr: he has some nice changes going, and some things feel great to use. Overall though, he seems like he is in a worse spot than he was.
: Wukong Update- Prepped For PBE!
NGL, all the changes combined just look like overall hot garbage. You've ruined core parts of his identity and shifted power into worthless things like a stationary attacking clone that is used to engage anyways. Not to mention the CD increase and stealth decrease. The initial changes proposed seemed ok, but overall this iteration released is really just awful. You've basically ruined an already bad champion. Didn't even know you could do that honestly, lol. Gj though, I guess? This whole ordeal looks like sh*t XD For the love of God, quit trying to make him a bruiser with no CC outside of his ult. It won't work. He's fucking dog shit as anything but an assassin (and he's dog shit at that right now too). No sustain, no CC aside from an Ult, and his damage isn't even better than 90% of the roster unless he snowballs his ass off. Just get off it already, leave him as he is and revert some of the nerfs you made earlier in the season when everyone was playing squishy ass champs. If you can't fix him right, just don't touch him.

: Veigar grading seems way off
It's not just your KDA and participation, CS and warding plays a big role as well. You could be 15-2-10 at 30 minutes with 90 CS and a ward score of 12, probably land a B. Also I believe its relative to other Veigar players in your elo. For an example, I went something like 7-8-12 on my ADC the other day, but had 336 CS and 8 controls wards placed, and constant trinket usage. Got an S+. TLDR if you're trying to get mastery, ward a lot and farm like crazy.

: Wukong Update- Progress Report!
Hi, very late so this may never be read but wanted to leave my opinion regardless. I've been playing Wukong for a long time, I'm not an amazing player or anything but I do love the monkey and have built up well over 1 million mastery across main and secondary accounts. Q - This is a good change, I like it. The CD reduction allows for more auto attack resets, balancing out the loss of scaling in early levels from prior nerfs. Picking up those minions with Q and nabbing a mana restore will be nice in a lane you've fallen behind in or are being bullied in. As to the 10 mana cost reduction, not really going to fix the issue. Wukong's problem is that he can not trade repeatedly due to his extremely low mana pool. For a champion that only trades well in short bursts, this is a pretty big issue. W - Not sure on this one. I like the dash of course. It doesn't need to go over walls, that's fine. Curious how much of his power budget was allocated to the stationary clone damage though? I'd hate to see a large portion of his power given to this very weak niche ability (outside of the jungle/split push). Nobody is going to stand in a stationary clone's damage, and more often than not its used as a gap closer due to his E being easily negated by many champions. He needs the invis from W to get in. Even without a need for invis to engage, he has nothing but a short knock up to keep them in the clone's damage. No shorter cool down CC or anything of that nature. Overall this seems like something you all are really trying to make work, but I feel it would be better to just drop it in favor of something more useful. E - Changing this to magic damage regardless if it scales with AD or not is detrimental to Wukong's late game damage, but beneficial to his lane phase damage (fuck you {{item:3047}} ). Not sure on this, but if it helps him maintain in lane then possibly its a good change? Waiting to test and see, but makes sense that the more pen you stack, the less helpful this will be outside of the AS buff. R - Some good changes, except the AD ratio buff. His base damage on ult is very low, this will just make him even stronger when snowballing (something Wukong already does well if he can manage to get ahead somehow). Also the attack speed pause doesn't seem useful if this is also taking away from his power buff. With base damages on the lower side, scaling on the sky high side, his only CC on his ult - This rework just seems like an attempt to turn him into a bruiser that he can't be. You seem to have allocated a lot of power into a bruiser style play, while not changing his kit at all to allow him to be an actual bruiser. He has no sustain, no CC of any kind outside his ult, and basic ability cool downs just too high to make use of repeatedly in a fight. Shield included, I feel the monkey will be left to try and blow up the adc, land a good knock up, then get obliterated. Why would anyone build him tank with this kit? To land a knock up then be useless? Why build him bruiser? To dive an ADC then roll over and die when he can't finish the job? He has the tools of an assassin with a DOT ult. You seem to have steered his ult towards a shorter window as well, further pushing him towards the assassin role. This rework doesn't seem to give him the tools to change that. I suppose the only viable path as it seems to be playing out now is a split pusher, or kamikaze machine on the carry (which is basically his current form). Don't get me wrong, I love playing him assassin. Its by far my favorite. However, I'd hate to see so much of his kit power wasted on things he can't really utilize well. An idea for his W - Make it reset somehow. Remove the damage from his decoy, put the reset on a cool down so he can't do it non-stop (or increase the W CD). Make him an actual trickster. At the cost of dropping his scalings/high damage across the board even. If I can't 1 shot the carry but can clone in for an engage, then reset it after a combo - then re engage the carry to finish the job - I think that'd be fine. It would allow for counter play and even allow him to actually build like a diver because he'd have the ability to stay alive while he gets the job done. Not to mention it'd stop people complaining that they're getting insta gibbed with no recourse. Riven can dash around, shield, stun, and knock up with high damage. Let Wukong utilize his decoy(s) somehow to stay in the fight - but tone down his damage so he isn't ridiculously oppressive with it.
: Wukong Update- Now In Active Development!
I'm worried some of main weaknesses and strengths are going to remain and gate him from being viable. While the increase in damage based on his clone creates a ton of counter play for him (just walk away? He can't stop you), nothing was changed on his E or Q. People will still bitch if a Wukong gets fed, because they'll feel like they can't do anything. Something needs to turn into a skill shot so the champ won't be gutted at first sign of success. That aside though it may be irrelevant. Wukong has some major mana issues (by design as you acknowledged) that stop him from really going toe to toe in lane with so many champions. However, what I'm not following is this "trade off" you're talking about. So many other champions have sustain, lower mana cost, equivalent damage, and CC. Wukong however can't trade with 3/4 of the roster. Where is the trade off for his huge mana costs and low pool? His level 2 strength? I don't quite follow this one. Wukong can not effectively trade in lane with most champions, in large part because of his mana pool. If I trade blows twice with someone in lane then OOM, what good did I do? Anyone with any kind of sustain will force me to B. What compounds this issue is his power spike. Wukong's level 6 ult is horrid! His power spike comes at 11, why is it so late??? Please consider evening out the base ult damage and scalings. Let his level 1 ult do something besides knock up and cancel to use your combo again. Changes considered though, maybe his trades will be better? I just can't fathom a stationary clone increasing your damage being of much help. His W is a reliable engage for team fights, leaving his decoy out. In lane you just leave when he decoys, good luck getting stacks on someone? And then when you finally do manage a solid trade using QWE or whatever the combo may be, you're going OOM again because decoy is 100 mana. TLDR; I like some of the things, but I just don't see him working as a bruiser without CC. His kit is just a mess in this current iteration and I can't see it playing out in any viable capacity in game. I really don't think this rework will do anything but get rid of more of his die hard mains. Changes seemed rush with no afterthought, I'd rather leave him in his garbage state (but playable for a fun game where you might snowball) than gut his damage to abysmal levels and give him some gimmick that's easier to avoid than an illaoi ult.
: Sure, Jhin is safer. And Ashe, Kog, MF or Varus are less safe. She is somewhat middle in terms of safety. ADCs are supposed to die if enemies are on top of them, thats why they are allowed to deal huge sustained damage and thats why they go botlane with a support instead of solo laning. But it looks like there will be no "unsafe" champions anymore.

But it looks like there will be no "unsafe" champions anymore. What do you mean? She seems very unsafe. Her whole shroud thing only helps against ranged champions (and only ranged not counting skill shots and AoE). If I'm playing {{champion:62}} or something and invis to her, shrouded or not she's dead. Any movement speed burst won't help either, especially with any champion that can gap close or just simply runs {{item:3142}} . I've seen a lot of people complaining about her shroud for some reason, but most divers and assassins won't have an issue with it. As well, supports like {{champion:412}} {{champion:89}} {{champion:201}} {{champion:43}} {{champion:25}} {{champion:44}} {{champion:26}} {{champion:143}} {{champion:63}} , etc etc most likely won't have issue either. Her bursts of movement speed will help in positioning and kiting when possible, and her shroud will allow to possibly make some cool plays - but let's not go as far as to say she is safe. She isn't safe from over half the roster. The only truly "safe" ADC's in the game have been there for years, and that's just {{champion:18}} and {{champion:81}}

: when is ff@15 going to be reduced to 4/1?
I'd say make it 4/1 FF 15 for Plat+. People in Gold and lower many times can't tell when a game is actually lost or not. You also have many casual players in the lower leagues that just want to play regardless of the win because they enjoy it. Even those things aside, there are tons of lower league players that can do great in lane then fall apart after. Nobody actually knows the game well enough, or plays consistently enough for a 15 minute surrender in all but the absolute worst scenarios (ie 20-0). Generally by Plat though, people are just trying to climb. I'd wager the majority of people in Plat or above would rather call it a loss and go next than work towards a marginal chance of victory, especially since the odds of a team actually capitalizing on their lead and turning it into a win are significantly higher around that point.
: I havent read great reviews about Intel's new F-series processors and I would personally avoid them. Do know that the difference between an F and non-F series processor is that the F-series has had the integrated graphics portion of the processor removed. That being said, if you go forward with the F-series, then you MUST have a graphics card just to run a display. I was one of the lucky few who was able to get ahold of an RTX 2070 super during launch week. BTW, it laughs at this game because it doesnt even warm up past idle temperatures during LOL gameplay. Before that, I was using a GTX 750Ti on a 144Hz monitor. The 750Ti did fine and rarely lost any frames. So really, almost any graphics card will run league in the 100+ frames range at 1080p.

Curious where you read about the F series? From what I could find the only downsides were the initial price point, and constant GPU use without having integrated graphics.

Yeah, I really don't think it's that hard. I did it 10 years ago, was basically like putting legos together. Just looking for some advice on the parts, thanks!

It's more that he can't do anything but 1 shot, and they nerfed him hard... then said they wont rework him any time soon. Basically just guttering the champ with no plans to fix.

Idk prob the repeated nerfs he got last couple patches. And idk why they gave him 8% AS, that doesn't do anything for him really. Technically it's a buff, but I mean its worthless.

Hard Stuck Austin123uy Son Foku Koreloxx I'm a shit tier gold player, got every one of those accounts out of Bronze/Silver (wherever they placed, I dont remember). I'd say the hardest one was Koreloxx, it placed Bronze 5, I guess from fucking around in normals with my friends. Bronze 5 was tough to maintain a 70% win rate. Lots of smurfs at the bottom, and lots of people that rage without the slightest concept into how the game works. Run it down mid is standard practice there. Got out though and cruised through silver pretty quick. You can climb out pretty easy, just pick a champ that can carry. Or as an alternative, you could uninstall and play Diablo 3. Pretty dead game, but super fun. The direction League took just doesn't do it for me anymore. Creeping on the forums hoping things will change I guess.

Would be really neat if they implemented a retroactive LP loss prevention for AFK/Inters. Like if the report is confirmed inting or AFK player for so much amount of time, they just refund you the LP lost once confirmed.

Politically agreeing or not, social progressivists have the highest ethics on the spectrum. The highest ethics? lmfao. Moral principles my ass, bunch of hypocrites worried about their reputation over everything else. And then they try to shove it down your throat like EVERYBODY needs more of their bullshit. They talk so much shit on Christians yet they do what they hate most about Christians to everyone else. Shove their ideals down everyone's throat and burn them at the stake if they don't agree. California is the epitome of a failing society, littered with garbage. If that's what represents the west, then the rest of the world must be laughing their asses off at us. Between Trump and the shit that is Cali, this whole country has gone down the toilet.

Just presenting arguments in a way that people who are stubbornly believing Tencent runs things will understand. Yeah I may have quoted the wrong person sorry, but at any rate. An investment firm putting their hands that deep into an acquired company is unheard of, especially one the size of Tencent. ------------------ And in regards to the OP, I don't think you've ever even worked for a living. You don't seem to have a grasp on how things at a business function, unless you're just at some obscure place that runs a completely different ship then 99% of other companies. Sure managers have numbers to meet, and there is a financial gain they're looking for, but there isn't a finance department telling them what to do. If by "finance dep" you're referring to Tencent, the only thing they're telling them is they want to make X amount of money by whatever quarter. They could care less how it gets done. And to further expand on that point, you can't even put a dollar amount on much of what they do at Riot. The only things set are skin prices and the like, but aside from that; designing, balance, etc. There is no quantifiable number for these things. They pay people to handle the shit, not make a change and ask some department "how much you think that scuttle change was worth? you think thats a million dollar change, bro? felt like a million dollars, fuck im on fire!" I don't know how things work at Riot, but I'd be willing to bet there is a big picture from GC or whoever is above him. Everyone else is working towards that big picture, and its a large scale collaborative effort. I don't think anyone is calling in from the finance department telling them "Hey, buff Talon, that's a buff worth 5 bucks every time he ults. make it happen."

: What do you think about Wukong this patch?
It's almost like myself and several others made posts about this being the wrong thing to nerf, because they'd likely have to come back and nerf him again, but nobody read them or listened. No but in all seriousness, he's at a 52.5 percent win rate overall in plat+. That's about where he should be.
: Akali top is oppressive as hell. God. Grasp of the undying is a ridiculous rune on her. She can still get pushed in, and even outplayed, but it's a lot more work than it is mid. There's a lot of skill matchups here, but she is definitely much more playable top lane than mid. Stats: Her base stats are justified here. Her low armor makes it so she can actually be somewhat traded with. Her movement speed is kinda noticeable here, especially with her passive. I believe in terms of raw stats, she still gets outdone by most top laners. Passive: This, plus grasp is stupid. Extended range plus empowered auto, plus the rune triggering makes it so you can't really outtrade her, and extended trades kinda hurt, since she still is good at those. Q: This ability actually gets annoying if you're melee. She'll heal if full energy, and keep on Q'ing you when you try to cs since it's on a 1.5 second cooldown. The energy cost is high, so you'll want to trade when she's out of energy, right? Well she'll just W, gain her energy back, and Q you again, then passive auto for more energy. Level 1, she can zone you off with this ability alone. W: Hurts melees as well, since they can't auto her. If she somehow manages to get you under your turret, she'll be able to bully you there since she instantly restealths. She will take turret shots for harassing under turret though. E: Pretty easy to land when they'll be closer to you. However it's also much riskier to take since a lot of top laners like it up close. The outplays are ridiculous though. R: Pretty much the same as in mid lane Akali top feels much better than mid, which sucks because I hate top lane and would rather be mid. The main problem persists though. She can't really push to save her life. One thing I wonder is if she can be played bot lane. Her early game flaws may be helped with a support by her side.
Have you tried rushing Tiamat on her? All her abilities have sky high AD scalings, seems like it would be worth it. Especially with her poor wave clear.

Isn't this already slated to be nerfed next patch with the funneling changes? People with T1/2 jungle items that have 50% more gold than the rest of the team receive less gold from lane minions. Or I guess the better question would be, will that affect it?
