Target selection is random. Assassins jump on the unit the further away and then attack a random adjacent unit. You guys overbuffed Kassadin, now he buys tanky items and still one shot ppl XD. He wasn't much worse than other bad melee magic damage dealers like Rumble, Fizz, Diana or Ekko, not sure why he needed such a buff and they didn't. Overall, I like the direction of the changes. I'm still underwhelmed by the overall game balance, most of the ADCs, poke mages and control / battle mages are still too strong relatively to everyone else. I also think the game's pacing isn't quite right and feels unsatisfying. Champions are just too poor. Most games are decided between the purchase of the 1st and 2nd items. You injected some more gold after the 15 minutes mark with the increase in minions waves, that's not enough. I think you should inject more gold right from the start so people get to buy more items quicker.

Point and click cc is bad game design. It should be removed or altered as much as possible to give more counterplay to your enemy. Reducing the duration of the crowd control debuff does that.

Footprints is a fun idea, but it doesn't belong on Teemo. His stealth duration is too short and too situational to really take advantages of all the possibilities a feature like this bring. It belongs on a new champion that is permanently invisible. Instead of looking for a character model, you look for footprints around the map. A similar feature is used to great effect in some PvP stealth multiplayer games like Dead by Daylight, where survivors leave traces of blood behind them when hurt. Breaking his invisibility/camouflage with damage might be okay, but you have to make sure E can still be used reliably to run away from a fight or when chased, like Twitch does. If you can prevent him from entering camouflage by continually attacking him, the spell is useless. About the rest of Teemo's kit, what needs to be looked at first and foremost are his Q and his R imo. Both are old mechanics with little counterplay that create lots of frustration. You already talked about his R and how you want to reduce the damage. Seems fine to me. It's probably not enough but I can't think of anything else atm. If there is no way to make his Q less reliable, by making it a skillshot for example, then the duration should be reduced significantly to 1s max, or maybe lasts x (1-2) number of auto attacks. I think it should be similar to Sivir's spellshield, or Fiora's parry, a powerful spell of very short duration that requires precise timing. It should also be consistent and block all auto attacks, enhanced auto attacks, runes/items/effects triggered by those auto attacks etc. Speaking of Q, there is a lot of stuff you can do with the blind debuff that Riot has yet to explore. From screen tints, to black screens, to long term effects. What if every time a player was blinded by Teemo, his field of view was reduced by say 100 or 200. Debuff is removed upon visiting the fountain. It would be similar to Graves or Nocturne black screen. At first you see your entire screen, then each subsequent blind the circle around your champion that limits your vision gets smaller to a point. Thematically, that would reinforce the tactical warfare element teemo is known to be about. Gameplay-wise, that would add some macro gameplay element, where players have to choose between recalling more frequently, or run the risk being an easier target to mushrooms and ganks due to lack of vision. Does that sound like a mechanic worth exploring?

I don't like how ADCs completely wrap the entire metagame and how the entire game revolves around them. You live and die by the hand of the ADC player. Your entire gaming experience is being dictated by that one player. If they are on the enemy team you have to kill them first, always, all the time and if they are on your team, you have to protect them first, always, all the time. There is no other way to play the game and it really sucks the fun out of it. I want to play a fair, diverse and challenging PvP game where every player matters equally, where players have the same influence over the game's outcome and get to have and make equally varied choices and proactives decisions as the game progresses. Not this stagnant, repetitive cat and mouse or protect the cargo PvE non sense players that aren't ADCs have to deal with every game. It's a phenomenon Morello had been trying to avoid as hard as he could with healers, those healers that ruined countless PvP and PvE games, and while he succeeded with healers, he wasn't enough of a visionary to stop ADCs from taking over. It's a bummer, and it's something you should be looking to correct, not enforce and exacerbate further. TLDR: ADCs are a mistake, pls do something

No... LOL, you are thinking of balance. Riot balances the game with buffs and nerfs around high elo because bad players can always become good and good players can't just become bad. MF has like 30% pick rate in bronze worldwide LOL making her the most popular champion in the game at that elo she has always been extremely popular in lower elos, normal, aram etc... only in high elo ranked SR she isn't very popular, but high elo ranked SR is a very small minority of the total playerbase, so it doesn't really matter. and that's why she isn't getting changed, A LOT of people really like her, changing a very popular character the way some people suggest in this thread is business suicide. why would you want to spend a lot of money to change a successful product most of your customers like and buy into another product that most likely less of your customers like and buy. that doesn't make any sense.

: Akali - Our nerf in 8.17 hit pretty hard - scaling exponentially with MMR (on that patch she dropped ~0.5% at low MMR all the way up to 2.6% at high MMR). We hadn't seen any pro play with the nerfs, and also believe that there are counters to Akali that hadn't yet been picked up much (Zil, Veigar, maybe even Renekton as we've been watching in KR solo queue as examples). Nerfing her blindly even further seemed incorrect given her live performance. Kai'sa was already making it through a lot of ban phases in playoffs/regional qualifiers meaning that pros were willing to play against her. We'd nerfed her on 8.18, nerfed several supports frequently picked to keep her safe in lane phase, and buffed some pretty strong lanes against her. Meddler already touched on Alistar. When it comes to balancing for pro play, a question you always need to be asking is "ok so who's next?". If we had swung hard and nerfed Urgot and Aatrox on 8.19, the likely result is that folks like Cho, Ornn, and Sion raise in priority. Nerf Graves, Camille, Olaf, you see more Gragas, Sej, and Trundle. Nerf Kai'sa, Varus, you see more Ezreal Trist, and Xayah (and Rakan as a result of their synergy). Everything is a tradeoff at the end of the day, and this year we opted for the strategy of buffing more of the counters to the champs at the top as a means of bringing the highest presence and lower presence champs closer to parity rather than just replacing the current top picks with the next in lane champs in the middle. This is kind of glossing over a pretty large topic, but hope it sheds some light.
it's not hard tbh, just make it so ADCs can't 1V5 every single game like they have been doing for the past 8 years there is no incentive to pick 95% of the remaining damage dealers in the game (fighters, mages, assassins, juggernauts) when an ADC can roll his face on his keyboard and kill everyone from afar in a couple seconds the meta has been 1 ADC + 3-4 "supports" every single game in pro play for the past 8 years ffs it's boring to watch and it sucks to play when a game that is supposed to be a 5v5 game revolves around the same 2 players every time

I think the major difference between me and some players is that I've played a lot of different games over the years, including a lot of obscure sh!t or other stuff that was never released in the west, when I say LoL is a great game atm, I'm comparing it to everything else, you won't find a better multiplayer game that mixes action and strategy in a AAA game format like LoL does, the next closest things (ignoring bad copycats) are mediocre battle arena indie games that are devoid of strategy or "ugly" grindy pay-to-win asian MMOs with PvP, or single player strategy games where you fight an AI that are usually turn based. If someone makes a better competitive game with the same style of gameplay then sure I wouldn't mind jumping ships, I'm always open to good games.

I was hardcore addicted to this game, earning every possible mastery chest each season, getting to gold, completing all the misions, etc, and this season I was finally able to break my addiction to league, because I realized once Runes Reforged came out, not only was the game zero fun, it felt more like torture than a game.
I have Victorious Janna amongst other skins, I have been around for a while LOL I actually would have stopped playing a long time ago if it wasn't for all the updates and reworks that made the game a lot more fun, the old champions and all their point and click non sense were really grating. I still really dislike the fact they haven't done the same with Veigar, Malzahar etc. The old runes were whatever, I made 3 optimal pages and never looked back, the old masteries were a bit better in the sense I would sometimes make changes during the lobby, but it was nowhere near the level of polish and ingenuity of the current runes, the new system is a lot more modern.

Nah, whether they update the game or not, people will leave anyway, that's how consumerism works, you use one thing then move on to the next more recent thing if the update is successful however, they still have a chance to retain people's interest, both new and old players, it's like releasing a new product in a way, people get interested again. updates can only do so much for so long tho, at some point, the technical debt is so high that the only way to stay competitive with more recent products is to rebuild the product from scratch using newer technology, at which point you might as well make a new product all together. This applies to games, but also to cars, food, houses, clothes, everything really.

man, that comment is such a mess, it's all over the place I can't make it any clearer, if you are buying 10 mice for 20$ and I'm buying 10 mouse traps for 10$, you are wasting your money, it's the same with flat armor penetration and armor, 1 lethality = -1 armor and 1 armor = -1 lethality (simplified, it's even worse before level 18), you buy 10 armor penetration and i'm buying 10 armor for half the price, you are paying more to do less, duskblade is the worst AD item you can buy to deal damage to a tank, multiplicative damage sources such as % armor penetration, critical chance, true damage or max health damage are all a lot better damage sources than lethality that scales additively against armor at a loss.

lethality is kind of useless against tanks because armor outscales lethality both in gold value and accessibility 1 to 1. 1 single chain vest worth 800 gold (or one full item worth ~3K gold) effectively nullifies 6K+ gold worth of lethality (since you can't stack lethality in isolation) you want % armor penetration against tanks (or true damage), not flat armor penetration. maybe I phrased it poorly, youmuu ghostblade gives you stats that get countered by armor (lethality) and an active effect that isn't countered by armor (the movement speed buff), thus youmuu ghostblade is always kind of useful no matter what. duskblade of draktharr on the other hand gives you stats that get countered by armor (lethality) and an active effect that also gets countered by armor (the active effect deals physical damage) making the item pretty much useless against enemies with a high armor value.

I don't understand your comment youmuu ghostblade unique active effect, the extra movement speed is always useful no matter what, duskblade of draktharr unique active effect, the extra damage is only useful against low armor enemies because it does physical damage and the more armor someone has, the lower the damage, it's usefulness is tied to the armor value of the person you are attacking, hence it's not always useful.

he isn't? youmuu ghostblade is a better item overall, stats show it. one of the main reasons is that duskblade gets countered super hard by armor, so it's often wasted in teamfights and against ninja tabi, zhonya hourglass, fighters, tanks etc. his explanatation is 100% correct, it feels unfair to die to one auto attack that you can't avoid, much less so to die to abilities that you can avoid

That's pretty much how every bio written nowadays, instead of telling us a story about the champion, who they are, what motivates them etc, they tell us stories about the world of runeterra, the factions, the geography etc, which is interesting in its own way but doesn't belong in a character biography. I don't read lux or garen bio to read the story of demacia, i read it to know who my favourite champions are, what they like, what they do for a living, how they spend their free time, what motivates them, if they have habits or quirks etc and most of the biographies don't deliver tldr: too much world building, not enough character building

Can you tell us how SR balance changes affect NB? Are all changes made on SR retroactively applied to NB as well? And then NB changes are applied on top of it? What if you buff Talon Health on NB, then SR also buff Talon health on SR? Are both buffs added to NB, or only the difference between the 2?

Can you fix the matchmaking in Nexus Blitz? The game keeps throwing me into games with new players and bots on my team even though I have / had 70% win rate over 50 games played :/ It's unreasonable to expect me to 1v9 every game when my team is 0/20 collectively.

I would really encourage you to talk to a high ranked playtester or QA analyst about Morgana btw because you seem to be really out of touch with the realities of her gameplay, he will tell you exactly what I said. Isn't Roku still a QA analyst? He played a lot of Morgana back then before he joined Riot, he should know his stuff.

Ah yes, because being a Q and occasionally a E bot sets a high bar amirite? She is in the same basket as Fiddlesticks, she only has 2 functional spells, Q and E, both of which are overpowered, braindead to use and really frustrating for her opponents, her W and R don't work, plain and simple. She is so outdated, so unrewarding and so unfun to play and master, there is a reason she has one of the lowest ratios amongst all champions between long term player engagement vs short term player engagement, she looks cool as hell, being some kind of vindictive and self righteous fallen angel of sorts, she appeals to a lot of casual players, then they play her and realise she is so clunky and dumb and she feels like ass to play and they move on to other better designed and more rewarding champions. Morgana needs significant work, her kit was fine in 2009, it's hot garbage now.

If you are updating Coop vs AI, you need to look at invisible champions and how bots react to them currently, the AI is omniscient and has true sight of everything and will follow and sometimes even attack invisible players with point and click spells as if they were visible that makes practicing playing invisible champions like Akali difficult since bots cheat and don't follow the established vision rules
: While I do agree that it's not a good enough reason, (I know I said this already) but I think he needs that passive that he has because he can't build any health it put's him in risk (as specially now when the game is so bursty and one shot's are everywhere). Additionally statistic-wise he's considered to be the most balanced champion with a 49.92% Winrate (50% is considered the ideal balance) and 13.79% Pickrate. I guess the issue with Pyke is learning to play against him better, learning his weak and strong points (similar to Thresh or Blitzcrank). Thresh only really has CC, and no real defensive tools to offer his team besides his W (Lantern), so it's always good to engage on his team-mate first and then target him second. Blitzcrank is somewhat similar to Thresh except for the one thing that he has no utility to offer to his team. Pyke usually uses his W to start engages (not always but sometimes), if he does use that to your advantage to engage on him because he's more squishier (and he won't be able to escape to heal up any damage that you deal) but try to avoid his CC to not allow him to trigger his Aftershock that will grant him an enormous amount of Resistances, if he does anyway just wait it out as it doesn't last very long and then use all the damage from your abilities on him. Dodging his E is easy, if you don't get pushed towards the side of a wall, you just need to always walk backwards in a left or right direction (depending in which direction he jumped towards you). His Q is somewhat dodge-able due to the animation time, allowing you to have some time to react. His R can be easily countered by things like a (Summoner Spell: Heal) or any other form of healing source if timed right (Redemption). I hope this is somewhat more reasonable.
I'm fine with his win rate and overall playstyle, I just wish he was less non-interactive in lane and I question his identity when clearly some of his strengths overlap with the strengths of an opposite class of champions. Saying he can't build health is iffy because most assassins don't build health anyway and he is still a lot more tanky than a Zed with a Black Cleaver for example. As far as I'm concerned, any lane with a Pyke is a snoozefest and I know nothing is going to happen and we will simply have to wait for the mid game before starting to play the game, which is probably the opposite of the kind of gameplay an assassin should encourage. No risk, no reward is the gameplay of a tank, not an assassin.
: Which is why you ward the bushes to prevent him from healing. In doing so he would have to walk a decent distance away from lane to get out of sight to heal back up resulting in him loosing xp.
it's ineffective unless you can simultaneously freeze the lane in a good spot and ward both lane bushes, the bush river, the tribush river and the enemy turret... which isn't reasonable.
