Having the ability to come back off a game because you outplayed the enemy is nice something that died a while ago with league. But my main concern is that hots and by extension blizzard just does things smarter than riot in a lot of instances I know some of their games get flak but often its pretty exaggerated, blizz implements stuff in quality and I can't say the same for riot in anything outside the skin and animation departments. The rest is a dumpster fire.
honestly, hots queue times are horrible though. unfortunately, league and dota have the market cornered since they came out way before hots.
: League could learn something from hots
league has learned something from HOTS. Blue and orange essence. blue essence gains are better, however orange essence is substantially worse. unfortunately, people are gonna downvote you just because you mentioned HotS. HotS does do a lot of things better than league though. like the fact that even if you get clown fiesta'd hard, there is no gold or items to build an oppressive lead. only levels and talents. you still have to be conscious and wary of what youre doing at all times because comebacks are completely 100% possible 100% of the time. or the fact that one specific role doesn't dominate everything else each particular season.
: Champion Concept - Blink, the Unseen
sounds busted af like meta breakingly busted like, whoever lanes against him will probably RQ
Garison (EUNE)
: Riot's banning team at it's finnest
riot will never admit it, but the most powerful people in this game are the silent trolls. the guys who quietly int from the start, but try just hard enough to make it look like theyre having a bad game. the guys who don't say a word as they afk in lane all game, never leaving. they sit there, and do these things silently. not saying a word, slowly pissing their team off to the point that one(or more) finally have enough and start telling them off. then, they report, and move on. if you guys seriously think people don't bait for reports in this game, you're insane. For a long time I NEVER reported even if a guy was super toxic? Know why? because theyre WORDS. that's changed since riot started favoring the trolls, and punishing any parties involved without context. Now, everyone is begging for reports on eachother because they know daddy riot will ban that guy for being human and letting his emotions get the better of him. also, these boards are trash because if anyone brings up how they feel the ban they got wasn't justified, they get taunted and made fun of by people telling them that they deserved it. they get called children, immature, babies, etc. this community is TOXIC TO IT'S CORE. every single player.
: Wait your game has MULTIPLE AFK's and it still took 40+ minutes to end? How that doesn't make sense there are 5v5s that last less then 16 minutes how the hell can a 3v5 last 40+.
I can't speak for him, but i've had a few games, where if you tell the enemy team there are AFK's, they will do everything in their power not to end in order to pad their KDAs. even in the case of just a regular stomp.

: I really feel like Fizz might be too strong right now
does anyone notice at every season {{champion:105}} gets complained about being way too strong? it feels like to me for the last 4 seasons the same 10 champions get complained about, get nerfed, and then 2 months later get the nerfs reverted, or get an item thats so ridiculously synergistic with their kit that they're back to op status.
Rioter Comments
: By far the best champion in the game, no reason to play anyone besides him for every single role. Don't forget to build some ap on him.
this might sound weird, but i really prefer on-hit bard over anything else. i just played a game where i built {{item:3078}} {{item:3095}} {{item:3031}} absolutely ridiculous one hit burst after that because of his meeps+sheen proc.
Rioter Comments
: I mean Tryn will get kited out by any champ with ranged in top lane. Hows he going to do damage to her if she can kite then just E his mocking shout?
whatever, i can understand that part. thats not what im annoyed about. he legitimately ignored the lane and griefed our mid by staying in her lane all game. and called us all trash while he did it.
Rioter Comments
: Why the fuck top... Support, still yes.
before top was dominated by overtuned juggernauts who can jump on you in 2 secs flat, he was a massive headache since you could last hit easy, and meeps+sheen hits hard early levels. pair that with a q stun on minions and you got 3 hits on the enemy top before they can even react. I'd usually build a tri, then go straight into full on tank build after that. basically be a squishy killing super elusive tank

: Low IQ post. I was simply asking if this myth was actually true or not, based on my experiences it feels like it is.
IQ doesn't have anything to do with true intelligence. i wish people would stop throwing IQ around like it actually matters at the end of the day. IQ tests are designed for children to determine their capacity to learn. unless your IQ is below 70, odds are you're probably not really a dumb person. i hate people who think IQ is the be all end all for intelligence. it's not. its a guideline for potential and that's it.
: Are forced win rates actually a thing?
i think its real. im not an amazing player and i don't claim to be. but i've been steady silver for most of my time playing this game. i made gold once years ago. but ever since it seems like, even if i place in bronze 3 or whatever, im still getting silvers in ranked. not to say that its a huge deal to me personally, because silver is where i play most of the time anyway. but for new people trying to climb i think it's a little ridiculous to place them in low bronze, and them match them with high bronze/silver teammates, and high bronze/silver opponents. i think it's literally there to force divisions to stay populated
: I don't believe Ghostcrawler is solely responsible for the piss poor state of game balance. Certainly, this level of stupidity has to be spread across multiple people.

Hell if I know, I never played WoW. At the end of the day, the majority of Riot's decisions ARE data-driven. Even if the entire balance team was challenger players, it wouldn't change what the data says about the game at large.
what data showed that khazix needed a buff? or pyke? or thresh? what data showed that true stealth was a good idea, when they literally gutted stealth for being too unfair? Data also shows that tahm kench wasn't a good support for a majority of the playerbase, but oh no lcs is good with him so nerf.

: Balancing a game is done based on observation of the player-base at large, then interpreting things based on collected data. Which, incidentally, is kinda like marine biology. Except with humans playing a video game instead of sea creatures living in the ocean.

: Riot and the balance team have become supremely arrogant. They constantly ignore feedback and criticism. Why else would they spend more time on Reddit than on these boards? Oh that's right, the League subreddit is so heavily moderated, you never ever see anything negative about Riot on there. You can try posting on there, but it'll last MAYBE half an hour. It's confirmation bias. "If we only see things that are good about us, that means the game is good too!" They did acknowledge that damage was too high months ago, but every single change they've made to the game since then has run contrary to that admission. They still buff characters that are already OP. Which means, they only acknowledged the high damage so people would stop complaining about it for a bit. It's pathetic. If they're going to lie, they could at least try harder than that.
reddit bitches about the game a lot too. they dont give a FUCK about the normies playing. only the pros and their bottom line.
Jo0o (NA)
: That's fair, but on the other hand, sob stories intended to justify behavior that's generally against the rules, such as leaving mid-game, often requires some evidence to elicit a positive response. I was curious to see if their KDAs were truly so bad, and what point of the game you actually left at. More to the point, if a full three people were actively running it down mid, I'm sincerely surprised that the game didn't end in seconds.
enemy team was focused on padding kda before ending game since they knew we had 3 inters.
SonicAF (EUW)
: You are free to practice lasthit in those games. Yes, you can't leave.
yeah i can totally practice last hit as a support. thats stupid. i shouldnt have to sit in the game and do the most uninteractive shit ever just waiting to get creamed by 3 feds who just got free killz from trolls. thats like literally saying, "hey everyone at work is busy throwing shit at eachother, and youre in the crossfire, but you have to stay at your desk or youre fired.
Jo0o (NA)
: Is there a particular reason why you're posting on an alt account?
because this is the account that remains logged in. and because i dont like douches looking at my match history to say "well you did bad too" when i complain about a guy feeding and snowballng enemy team.

You know, the lighter ones that are pretty easy to work off. if GGEZ offends you, maybe you need to wear a bubble for the rest of your life. maybe next time don't make it so easy for someone to win. it's just as stupid as the unwritten NBA rule that says you can't score if you're already ahead by a big margin. maybe do something to make sure that doesn't happen, instead of crying to daddy riot to fix all your problems. i got a 10 game chat restriction, and when i read my logs i saw that all of my "toxicity" was me getting frustrated over people refusing to listen in terms of when to fight, and me being angry at an obvious 0/14 no item troll who reported me for toxic afterwards.
: If they're managing to get all their CC on a carry, that carry was out of position. If they're blowing all their CC on a front-liner, what is the rest of the team doing while the front-line is eating all of the valuable CD's?
so in order to successfully land cc's on someone they have to be out of position? it can't be just a well placed cc that lands the first time, while the rest of the team scrambles up to continue ccing? what is it with you leaguers and absolutes? "oh if X happens its because of Y, and you screwed up" that's not how it works. there are things called variables man. it's not always X is the cause of Y. X in this case being out of position, and y being the guy getting cc chained. considering the amount of hyper mobile CC machines that are out there, i'd say it's not ALWAYS bad positioning. what is your issue with DR's? it's literally a fairness mechanic. any opposition to this idea is most likely coming from the guys who abuse the fact that there AREN't diminishing returns
: CC in WoW is much more plentiful, to the point where if diminishing returns were not a thing a single person could keep someone chain-CC'ed near indefinitely. Wow doesn't have complete diminishing returns even with the massive amount of CC, it's only diminishing between similar spells (Roots causes diminishing returns on roots, stun on stun, etc). While there's CC in League, a vast majority of the CC can miss (skillshots) or give the target the opportunity to avoid it in some way (delayed effect, tether, stacking mechanic, etc). Riot has been phasing out targeted, unavoidable hard CC a fair bit. See Taric and Sion for example.
doesn't change the fact that no one plays perfect, and eventually one of those skillshots will land, and any coordinated team will just stagger their ccs until the target they want dead is they can do something similar with roots/stuns/silences in this too. im quite frankly sick of being stunned for 5-8 seconds so i can stare at my screen and play the SUPER interactive "watch your health hit 0" game

you only get more BE based on RNG champ shards. its completely RNG based how much BE you get. just because you got a lot doesnt mean everyone has. like i said last 5 champ capsules have been shitty 450/1300 cost champs giving me 1500 BE after 50 games.
