: While I do agree that skillshots can be buggy at times, I don't think it's that straight forward. Latency on both sides can effect the way things seem. I've had instances where my skillshots have traveled perfectly through the middle of an enemy, only to not hit them completely. I thought it was a massive bug, but upon watching the replay, I realized I had in fact missed my target altogether, and this is with me sitting at a stable 50~ MS ping. The point I'm trying to make here is things aren't as clear cut as they seem. We also can't take into account just how big / what shape a champions hitbox is / spell is with accuracy. The way things are coded (I believe) are if 2 hitboxes overlap even slightly, it counts as a hit. Since we have no indication of actual champion / spell hitboxes, it's hard to accurately say that any of these should be considered hit / miss. Just my 2 cents.

Just my 2 cents. the map angle view also effects this, and so does your elevation - especially noticeable with river's dip and bases' rise. I feel both these could be improved tho - but these three main things - elevation, view angle, and latency have significant impact on hitboxes. things like gragas body slam, and skill shot box sizes matching the spell's effect size, however, are things that need to be fixed.

I try my best, but I miss a ton of cs trying to give them to the sup only to have them take another one last second. I am getting better at readign the sup's mind, I promise I'm trying my best! I try also to improve my last hitting - so that I'm literally hiting the cs at the last posible second if I'm not sure if they're going to take it or not. that seems to help a lot :) it's frustrating last hitting under tower with a sup on relic shield (pre-damage item, more than just along sword) . they always take the meles, the melees are often the easiest to last hit under tower. I know they're more money when shared, but if we're pushed under tower - I feel it is more important to make sure as much of the cs is gotten as possible. if the melee's enter the tower range with weird hp levels - then it's helpful for those to get relic'd. but if they enter under perfect health, it gives me 6/6 cs if they help me get those ranged minions with their relic procs. on many adc's it's awkward getting cs to relic once it hits mid game. my damage usually don't outright kill the minions but leave them low enough that if they aren't taken immediately they die to our minions' aggro. so there's a small window for the sup's to get the minions - and half the time, they aren't even trying to - so if I don't just take the wave, i miss 50% farm on every wave we face trying to wait for the sup standing in the wave to take the minions but they aren't and I wait to long. 60 ping is really enough lag to screw it up like this, and I'm only a gold I ain't got good cs yet only 5 cs/min, average for a gold. if I can I take the casters and try to give time for them to relic the melees - but if I get statikk or runaan's, and I usually do - it's honestly not easy not eating the whole wave in an instant. I find neutral pings are really helpful for the sup to communicate they're going for a relic proc or a few. but sups only sometimes do that on just the canons - never any other time. I think it would make a big difference to get neutral pings or maybe a "relic shield" ping so I know they're thinking about the minions at that wave. often time I see them go "omw" as they approach and that's pretty clear for me too. it's really understandable that you are making this quest and personally I will do my best to better my habit to help the sup's maximie relic line gold earnings. but I gotta be honest with you - only 25% or less of the relic supports I play with consistently try to use the relic procs! there's just too many times I try to look out to make sure they get procs - only to miss cs waiting to a tighter time window than I am comfortable on expecting them to right click the minion they're standing next to but do not click. And especially threshes - I miss more canons with 60% of the threshes I play with than in any other game, because they ping and go for it and I let them - and they don't do enough. TBH I feel like relic shield could greatly appreciate a rework to its gold mechanic - I think this "shared gold" is a cool idea and flavorful, and when it's effective it breeds trust naturally. but it's got serious downsides to- one is all the weird, small, but numerous ways in which I awkwardly miss cs 'cause of trying to work with the sup in solo que to let them take procs, and second in how it encourages the sups to break a frozen lane :/ but both of those things happen too often in all my games so I don't blame no one but myself for my insufficient skill in those areas. but it's still frustrating to see the design of relic line making those two aspects of the game that much harder to have effective agency over.

Maybe some people consider his designs overpowered, overloaded, and unfun to play against; but there's just as many people that consider those champions the most fun in the game to play and to master, because he designs so many challenges and high skillcaps into his champions that they offer the player a chance to learn and constantly improve every time they play. : *I wrote most of this last night and just finished it off over lunch...hoping it all makes sense/flows. I'm typing this as a reply to this thread in general, not necessarily to the OP. I'll echo what Calad said in that we pay attention to the boards/reddit/twitter/youtube etc etc more than players realize. Walking around the office, it's super common to see people pouring over threads, reading player feedback and reactions to the latest patch, feature, CG, skin etc. We ourselves are players, but by keeping in touch with the community we can understand and keep a better pulse for how something will be received, or what's paining the players at the moment. This requires walking a very fine however. Pivoting to every demand/request from Reddit/boards can mean we hyper focus on a portion of players that doesn't represent even close to the majority of our players base - players in western countries can have completely different opinions than players in eastern countries on specific topics. It also means that we're devoting time solving temporary problems when we should be working on longer term solutions or bigger bets that can help push League forward. This is super contentious as the OP points out - working on things for the future means we're not solving player pain now - and we may need to find a better balance here looking back on the latter half of this season. Let me illustrate some of that risk with an example. I personally was pretty involved in the "Enemy Vision Here" ping, I'd seen a thread crop up to the top of Reddit again, and it was one that I'd wanted for YEARS and just made sense, so I pulled in people from a few teams around me to get it put together and shipped. That comes at a cost though. The engineer and vfx artist were in the last few weeks of development on Urgot, the audio designer was finishing up some work on skins, our QA was testing stuff that fell out of the usual day to day, and I wasn't doing the work I'd usually be doing. Was it worth it? I think so, but could Urgot have been that much better if the engineer and vfx artist were only focusing on him? Potentially. Or maybe that was time the engineer could have spent prototyping an ability for Eve (the other champ he was working on). I'm not illustrating this to illicit some form of pity, because at the end of the day working on League is a job, it's a job we love, but it's a job and we're expected to do things while we're at our desks. What I'm trying to illustrate is that jumping on every request or bit of feedback from players can cause us to deviate or lose sight of the bigger thing we're working towards, all the little things can add up to a lot of timelines slipping. We also don't always agree, hell, even the community doesn't always agree with eachother. Look at jungle plants from last pre-season, or elemental dragons, or even Rift Herald from this midseason. When they first were teased, some players were up in arms about them, while others loved the idea. We listen to feedback, and we frequently iterate based on it, but it would worry me if we suddenly stopped taking risks and pushing big new changes simply because a vocal minority voiced opinions against them. I'm not saying that they're wrong, but that we have to be careful with how often we adjust course, and how often we stick to our called shots and push forward lest we only end up shipping changes that are always vanilla (this goes for new champs, VGUs, reworks, systems changes, balance tuning, skins, etc etc). In regards to why you may not see as much Rioter participation you (or we) would like, it's likely because engaging can be very sharp double edged sword. Speaking as a Rioter means any sentence you write is likely to be taken as an official statement from the company in regards to our stance on the game and our plans with it. It's also likely to be dissected and held under the microscope by everyone - but especially when your statement jives with another players opinion. To use a very current example. I'd been talking with some players about ancient coin gold generation on this [thread](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/EMqpe7dX-ste-still-sucks-riot-you-know-what-you-have-to-do?comment=000a00080000), when one player asked what my opinion of sightstone was, I gave a reply, and the next thing I know there was [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/78hxxu/riot_maplenectar_id_really_prefer_if_supports/) on the front page of reddit where my comment and credibility was being shredded. In the thread I was in it seemed like a pretty innocent question, and I didn't think twice about posting my reply, but had I known it was going to get the level of scrutiny it did (which I should have seen coming), I probably would have either just avoided replying to save myself the struggle, or taken much much longer to write a perfect reply that had the lowest chance of being misconstrued as a direction I personally was championing for League. Combine that with the fact that the number of Rioters who can **actually** engage in the topics you guys are super passionate about (we are too), and you're down to ~20-30 people that have the context, the experience, and the knowledge to actually give a detailed reply. It can be easier to just read a thread on the boards, and then talk about it with co-workers if we think there's something there than to engage in what will likely turn into a multi threaded conversation with a bunch of people who all have varying opinions on a subject. I feel bad when I drop a one liner on a post and then never go back to the comments on it, but I'm also trying to juggle my day to day responsibilities at work, and then my role as a father and husband and I have to prioritize my time. It feels crappy, but I prefer to touch base when I can even if it's the bare minimum than just stay silent just because I'm not always able to have an in depth conversation. None of this is to say that we ourselves make the right decisions each and every time, and it would be blatantly false to do so. We fuck up, but when we do we try to correct as quickly as possible. We constantly seek to improve the quality of our work with each and every patch, and we're also trying to find ways to be more transparent with our decisions to more of our player base than just those on Reddit and the boards. Even if we managed to convince people here on a direction we're taking, we still have a long ways to go to inform players in every other region of those same decisions - and that's a problem we're actively trying to solve. I hope this doesn't come across as hand wavey and dismissive of the sentiment. If you feel like we don't listen to feedback there's certainly something that's leading to that feeling and we need to figure that out, but the solution can't be "change things to match what the community thinks is correct", since that can be the right move just as often as it can be incorrect.

Walking around the office, it's super common to see people pouring over threads, reading player feedback and reactions to the latest patch, feature, CG, skin etc. heya Maple Nectar, I am curious how open riot is to a more targetted approach to community involvement. as was mentioned, there is a lot of people pouring over threads - in order to get an input from the audience, to then later make their best judgment. while this is a very cool thing to have going on, it puts a lot of workload on a lot of people, and yet they all must prioritize the more pressing matters of the game as a whole and the company's vision. But the alternative that I anticipate would be very effective both for Riot employees as well as for the community, is to aim to narrow down the people involved as liason to the various communities - often Riot speaks of how any community while seemingly large is only a small portion of the target consumer of League, why not identify different subsections of that community - for example, this board annd reddit as one, youtubers and streamers as another, high-end competition (players, coauchs, etc) as another, casual gammers who you never hear from as the fourth. Then have one to three people who interact with these groups, as few as can be managed, whose sole operation is to connect with this group visibly, identify their pressing desires for the game, lobby those needs to the dev team with compelling arguments on what should be targetted and why, and then report on all progress in this regard to the community. This could be a weekly or bi-weekly schedule, or a schedule which matches patch pacing perhaps. Examples of what I mean by this are: A Riot employee with an independant, but official, youtube channel, who once or twice a week publishes an interview with a different streamer or youtuber they've connected with, discussing the state of the game. When not producing these interviews, their roles would be, to keep in touch with the responses, and to keep in touch with the dev team, and in assisting in any decision making for the dev team as makes sense. Or it could be a Rioter who posts and discusses on popular boards, who posts a thread identifying what they see as the main concerns the board has and prioritizing them, and being involved in the discussion, to then once they've personally chosen and relayed the highest priority of these to the dev team, updates the board on what is being pushed with the next patch cycle. these two main posts could be the OP and a pinned response to the same thread, which each post is at the best timing to pace well with the patch cycles. Or it could be someone who writes and implements and assesses surveys that any player can access from the client itself. Etc. People who are community members and dev-team advisors. the liason that connects the communities to the future of league. Naturally I personally only know of a narrow set of target audiences, so if such a more-targetted approach seems desirable, I trust that Riot would be well-capable of coming up with a small list of such liasons that allow them to work towards ensuring some amount of consumer satisfaction and sense of being a part of the game they love. best regards :)

I like the new hate spikes, it's cool. I miss the speed boost ability, that was really a big part of who she was her identity as a champ. I loved it! why'd they take it away? Her new ult is interesting, idk. I like it better than her old one. I don't understand the purpose of her charm. and if she's supposed to be a "Shadow assisin" I don't know why they forces the "siren" theme because IMO that seems like a cheap trick they used 10 years ago to try to make the game attractive to teen boys, that by now should be gladly sacrificed. Too many female champs have "I'm sexy" in their theme/VO somewhere, and I'd honestly like to see them dropped. such a weird thing to have at all??? I especially don't get this whole "hey hey you! hey! I'm assassinating you! you can't see me but I am coming for YOU!" at least rengar and warwick have ways to be safe after they dive.

Plus, there's a high chance the game's state won't stay like this for long. Once season 8 comes around things should be okay. I'mnot mad 'cause it's busted. I'm mad because the numbers are so high, they should've KNOWN it'd be WAY busted. and, it's WAY busted.

There's a urinal in the mens restroom that I know for a fact that no one tested before shipping it. I know this because when you use the urinal, it's curved in such a way that the urine would just always splatter back onto you. You can maneuver and angle however you want, it just mists back onto you. It's a permanent piss misting. And as I'm using it, I'm thinking to myself "This is so obviously awful there's no way anyone tested this before putting it out." > > And that's what pre-season is. This is so obviously broken there's no way anyone tested it thoroughly before putting it out. I feel like I'm playing a parody of League. nah if you saw it in PBE you'd know it was worse than it is now. Er, by worse I mean, mostly a ton of bugs and a lot less info. the damage is still broke tho . lmao

Make sure to let your voice be heard! give us a way to turn BE into RP, even if it's expensive lol. like 5k be = ???? rp. I don't know the math of what is worth what, but like if I have 40 BE for the purchases, what's 10% of how much money I put in? idek. probably a lot higher than you'd want to exchange BE for RP for, so let's say 40k BE is 10$ worth of RP and then make it in purchases of like 5k or something so it scales to anyone with a ton of BP. 5k BE = 350 RP? that'd be very cool. But, again, I don't know the math, so maybe something higher is fair too. if you guys do it right, it's enough to make us excited for the exchange rate, but just under enough that when grinding for RP we just buy RP too. so for people like me who are stingy it's just a cute little help that doesn't really affect you, but for most people it's just a way to trick 'em into wanting to buy more RP ;) y'all need to learn how to impliment monetary discounts that actually earn you money 'cause it gives people a reason to spend money. makes us feel good 'cause it's a discount, but it still ends up with money in your pocket.

: On paper it's fucking broken. Idk how it actually plays out. Based on the wording, it has no cooldown. In other words, Twitch pops out of stealth to ult with Runaan's and effectively debuffs 3-5 of the enemy team for +12% damage.

In other words, Twitch pops out of stealth to ult with Runaan's and effectively debuffs 3-5 of the enemy team for +12% damage. its got a cooldown, IDK about 20 seconds? 10? probably not as high as 30. I don't know it exactly but it's got a cooldown. it's incredibly powerful btw. in bot lane, if you don't land your auto first, you GET THE HELL OUT. if you don't have press the attack, you don't push don't fight 'cause you're hoping to outscale with insane attack speed from the other rune. Thunderlords is trash tier in bot lane 'cause you have no attack speed, but they do. Tistana, Ez, cait, and possibly Corki are the current bot lane meta, because their dash lets them be safe in lane, safe in team fights. trist can also be agressive, while cait can poke and guarantee she's the first auto, and then corki and ez have a big buff from tri force (base auto increase) oh, and vayne. lol. forgot vayne. she's OP right now. Lucian might be OK because of his double attack passive, and his dash. Ashe is reasonable because of her ult. the other AD lose too much in comparison to the ones I listed because of the way press the attack currently warps the meta. only exception is twitch because he can try to outscale, but honestly? good luck with that. any reasonable player will punish you hard in lane, and snowball like hell. only the highest skill twitches in bot lane with clever ganking. twitch jungle maybe.

: As a Morg main here i can say we arent all toxic.. BUT with that being said any support HATES having to run body blocks on enemy CC cause the adc cant stay out of range or has bad positioning period.. Also with the Spell Thief support item Morg gets her gold from poking with soil and sometimes this throws off the adcs waves.. not always cause soil should be the last thing a support maxes out.. but it may take a creep here and there.. dont freak out.. cause 9/10 time the enemy are using those creeps as cover to stay away from her snare.. It may also depend on the adc you play as.. Morg can work great with champs who come with their own form of CC. Whether it be traps or stun, Blinds, etc. But if you are going to go ham try and make sure she is able to use her snare incase things go bad for a retreat and her shield is also available.. shield usually has about an 8-10 sec CD depending on items and lvl... Also dont fall into the habit of pointing out all the missed snares a morg might have missed.. trust me we know.. and we hate ourselves for it.. If u want to try laning with a chill Morg support add me.. im only a silver/gold lvl player but i can usually hold my own with higher lvls...

Don't worry I don't complain to my sups in-game really. all it does is make 'em tilt and that's the thing I hate the most -tilted teamates ^_^ I can win out of any play mistake, but it's SOO hard to win with a tilted teamate.

I don't slave away don't worry. and even tho there are trolls and AFK all year round, it increases during offseason. ranked does have integrety, even tho some people don't honor it sometimes, most people do in fact play with integrety for most of the time.

It doesn't feel great does it. > Either remove series completely, because it feels like they're there to stop us from climbing fast... or just give us the LP we won in them when we get promoted, that would be a big help to us and a massive satisfaction when you win them. I do in fact want the series to change or be removed in some way, this suggestion would not make for a meaningful solution IMO. it wouldn't address the issues, and would only inflate how highly people go before they have the consistent skill to belong there - what it would do would increase how often it feels like you're playing with someone who doesn't belong in your games. and how often you are way overmatched yourself. it would only increase the times people tilt, and by how badly they do so.

Newsflash, everyone needs items to be useful. > > I don't understand why they keep trying to take farm even when they get full builds too other than for the sake of their grades when their other teammates are still an item or two away from full builds. many players are like this, you probs. think it's an adc issue 'cause you're in mid or top. as an ad, I'm always getting people spam pings on me if I so much as push the lane after they die, to reset it off tower. was coming to try to swing fight, was a little too late, try to kill the enemy, he manages to recal. so I push lane to tower... "ping ping ping ping" if someone is pushing my lane, I usually go to theirs. the only time I'm tilted over someone pushing my lane, is if I was there already or on my way, and they come into lane anyway... because late game two people clearing 1 side lane is a real bad use of time.
